Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: I liked it !

Staff , hotel , beach was great , food for a little repetitive after a couple of days . Restaurants were good , room was awesome . There was a lack / or no lighting several nights which I reported but not much was done . Your were in total darkness from your room to section 28 29 ....overall a grade of 9 I would go back

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: A very good vacation!

We have been to this hotel several times. We keep to be loyal mainly for fantastic people and beech. The hotel needs more maintenance, but we will be back.Good for children,but not for people who are disable . The ramp to the beach needs repair.An excellent value for the money.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Outstanding Resort the only BAD thing is the BUGS

The Grounds are well-groomed and the pools are very clean. Our butlers Lestor & Dayana were Great and looked after us all week. Our room was excellent and everything ok except the TV and we are not TV watchers away. We had a Junior Suite with Balcony that you could not sit out on as you get eaten alive with BUGS no Spray works. I personally would not upgrade to the ocean view room as the only thing you can see the bush around the resort is 30 feet high. Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Wonderful Vacation Destination

The workers were all very wonderful happy to help in anything you need. They dont expect you to tip but they do appreciate it. They also have many activities, morning activities by the beach, afternoon by the pool and in the evening shows. The food is okay exactly what you would expect, the drinks are poured well, although they need to explain what's in it. One drink that I found was amazing was sweet baby, I had it made 5 different ways and each time was great. In the end great resort lots of t [... read more]hings to do if u want to get involved from dancing to sailing all for free! The only down fall is the 1.5hr drive to and from the airport.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Cool

Liked the food and the people were helpful. When we needed help with something they helped out. Amazing guys !!! Thanks guys for everything. From food , service to helping us out when there was a cockroach in our room! Thank u!

Valentin Perla Blanca: Need a Re Do!!

Hard to review this hotel as second night there I broke my ankle, and was unable to see the beach nor swim in the ocean nor pool, nor engage in any of the daily activities. My daily activities were simply reading by the snack bar/pool until evening where I enjoyed the entertainment in the lobby from the comfort of my rickety old wheelchair ! I will absolutely go back with two healthy working legs next year and will provide a more thorough review at that time. Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Playa Cayo

This was our first time in Cuba and first time at this hotel. It was just okay. The biggest issue for me was the cleanliness. Our bathroom was disgusting with a terrible smell and bathroom matter splattered on walls from previous tenants. Food handling was not the best saw cross contamination with utensils with raw chicken. Overall much could be done to improve the buffet hygiene. We were a group of 10 and 8 had severe diarrhea.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Best resort in Cayo Santa Maria

We stayed at the Playa Cayo Santa Maria. Everything was top notch from the relaxed vibe in the lobby to the entertainment team who made the vacation amazing. Food was good. Rooms were good. Lots of pools and amazing beach. Thanks to Natasha at trip central she was great.

Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Great resort

Just came back from my first solo vacation from Cuba. I stayed at Angsana the resort that checking all the boxes that a nice relaxing vacation means. Very nice resort I had a cabana main floor room with huge bathroom with rain shower head and huge bathtub. I had a garden view but I could still hear the ocean at night which was nice.The staff was excellent friendly. The food was great. I enjoyed the beach they brought the drinks to you. It’s more on the quite site but that’s what I need it. There was some nightly entertainment one day fashion show or Michael Jackson show. The other day they had pool aquatic show was very entertaining. I will definitely return to this resort. I enjoyed it.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Fantastic vacation!

Sanctuary was great. Some small issues in rooms but nothing major. And they were always super helpful if you needed anything. Would definitely go back! Pool and beach was amazing and staff at pools and beach - excellent!

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Mediocre at Best

Just stayed at Melia Cayo Santa Maria December 2019 for one-week. Overall: 2 1/2 stars Beach: 5 stars Room: 3 stars Food: 1 Star Pools: 3 1/2 stars Serving staff: 3 1/2 stars Location: 2 stars Reception staff: 2 stars Animation Team: 4 stars Value: 3 stars Got a decent price for the time of year and decided to take our 2 thirteen year olds. We had a very early flight and arrived at 10 am in Cuba. Bus transfer was very long, almost 2 hours. So the location wasn’t the best but the [... read more] beach made up for it. Not a lot to do around there and not a lot of choice in shopping. Can take a can ride in an antique car or 2 dollar bus ride to another resort where there are more market shops but barely. In general, the resort needs a massive overhaul. The rooms are dated. Beds are hard. Found bugs in our bed. Tubs have no plugs so you can’t take a bath. Shower has weak pressure. Smells musty. Fridge and room not stocked very well. Had to push for more water and soda pops instead of just beer. Reception staff rude and not very well trained. The one staff - Adriana - took issue with me watching her as she billed my credit card for spa services I purchased for the kids and my wife. She was palming my credit card and after scanning it through the debit machine did not want to return it. She recorded the MasterCard numbers separately which gave me concern as I didn’t want my card defrauded. When I asked her to return it she laughed and said don’t worry. I found this to be infuriating and rude. It’s my card. It’s my money. Be respectful. And the billing was of concern. I was quoted one price at the spa for 3 massages and then billed 12 USA dollars more when I had to pay. The food was sub standard. We have stayed at many melia resorts before and this resort does not compare. The food was bland and tasteless. There was very little selection at the buffet and it was the exact same for 7 days in a row. Like, change it up a bit. It’s not a huge deal if it’s the same but then increase your buffet stations to give some variety. Breakfast was terrible. No standard selections. No bacon. No pancakes. No waffles. Only a small selection of cereal. The restaurants were also low quality. The only restaurant that was good was the 24 hour bar/restaurant near the pool. Pizza was amazing. Burgers were amazing. Staff was really friendly. We went there every night after the restaurants because we were so Dissatisfied with the other restaurants. The entertainment team was good. Pool is in desperate need of repair. Grout is coming out all over and it is not being cleaned. It collects at bottom of pool. Beach was incredible. We tipped over 100 Canadian dollars during our trip and still felt the service was lacking. In any case, it was under average and in desperate need of an overhaul. I tried talking to managers on several occasions but the staff would give me the runaround so none of the other issues we had ever got resolved. Disappointing. Would not recommend.

Melia Las Dunas: Review of Melia Las Dunas

I visited Melia Las Dunas December 2019. Grounds: The grounds were nice, and the ocean was beautiful. However, there were about 4 sharks spotted on day 1 of our vacation about 10 feet off the shoreline and we were not permitted to swim. Again, on day 2, there were about 5 more sharks and we were not able to swim. The pools were nice and the swim up bar was in a good location. We enjoyed going here while unable to swim at the beach. Room: The room was fine. About what is expected in Cuba. Friends who I traveled with, did not have a working blow dryer in their room and had to use ours. Our toilet seat (lid) would not stay up, so we kind of had to hold it up while using the bathroom. Not pleasant, but manageable. The maid, Karenia, was nice and always had a smile on her face. Entertainment: Probably the highlight of the whole resort. The entertainment team did a great shop with the nightly shows. However, the bar was packed and drinks were terrible! They absolutely water down the liquor. Food: Absolutely TERRIBLE. I have previously been to Cuba 5 times. I know the food is generally below average, but this was worse than any other visit. There were little options in the buffet, and even the basics - pasta/pizza were NOT good. I heard that this may be due to food supply issues overall in Cuba right now but I don't know how true that is. Overall: I would give this resort about a 3.5 star max. Unfortunately, the sharks/not being able to swim in the ocean some days, and the food brought down the average for me. With that said, the grounds were nice and entertainment was good.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Had a great vacation!

Beach 5.0, Pool 5.0, Service 5.0, Food very good for cuba, Room no more then 3.5-4.0 stars. The service was unbelievable, the butlers were always there too book a la cartes and help. All together the best service i have had in Cuba. The most beautiful beach i have been to in Cuba, always enough room and definitely quieter then “family resorts”. Our butlers booked us an a la carte everynight, and the food was satisfying - we never went to the buffet afterwards to fill up. It really just depends from person to person but there was a fair selection for lunch and breakfast as well. We stayed in bungalow 61 with a beautiful ocean view. The room needs to be UPDATED asap. Even a quick repaint would help so much. Mind you the room itself was clean, no bugs, some small marks on the sheet but nothing concerning. Its just outdated, some stains on walls, there was a hole in the shower from where some sort of hanger used to be etc. Overall we had a great couples vacation and would recommend if you dont mind an outdated room.

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Good Resort

The hotel itself, grounds and pools were well maintained. Average Cuban resort with above average main pool area and beach. The food was nicely cooked however the choices were a lot more sparse than usual. I felt the day and night entertainment could be a bit better. Definitely one to put on your short list!!

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Incredible

This resort is fantastic. The staff is amazing. The rooms were clean and rather modern. We had a "partial ocean view" which was pretty much full ocean view. It was so nice. The grounds are meticulously land scaled. The French a la carte was our favourite. The buffet was good. Always found something to eat. Lots of fresh fish and shrimp. Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Could not ask for more!

This was my first ever trip to Cuba, so there was a lot I didn’t prepare for. My advice to anyone travelling for the first time is to find a reliable person who is going to tell you everything you need before you go. With that being said, the hotel staff were more than willing to help me in any was that they could, they went above and beyond to make sure i felt like royalty. The hotel rooms have powerful air conditioning, a huge walk in shower, and the maid make the bed in a fun and unique new way everyday. Absoulte nightmare food is horrific, no life guards by 7 pool until 15:00 after that time 1. Room cleaning service will just fold the same towels that you have used if they are dried. Everyone seems in a bad mood. There are couple of exemplary employees at the resort, however not worth the money or the effort. The beach is nice, howevr the bar opens between 9 and 11 am. Runs out of the cups and the employess just sit there saying sorry no cups without any effort to improvise or try to go to hote [... read more]l and get cups, staff the the beach bar is nothing less then catastrophic and rude. The hallways had water leaks out of the ceiling only to put a bucket to stop water from entering the rooms.

Melia Las Dunas: Loved this resort again

The resort is very clean , grounds are maintained very well . The staff is lovely! I had my granddaughter with us and they were extremely kind to her. I would like to say Liset Hernandez was especially kind to Graycee. Liset has a beautiful voice and soul . We told her Graycee’s Mom had died and she let her really feel special. She sings at the hotel twice a week . The dancers were wonderful too ! The food was pretty good , there was always something to eat that we enjoyed . Memories Paraiso: Very good resort, amazing Cuba holidays!

This resort is made of 3 connecting resorts that you can visit & has a replica of Spanish village with great shops & vendors. The grounds are very well taken care of. Rooms are clean & food is ok for Cuban standards, you can always find something to eat. The only downside is long lineups & alot of people smoking everywhere, they need to have designated smoking locations. If they had more staff working, preparing the food, would be better. We would definitely be back to this amazing resort. Short walk to the most amazing beach in Cuba!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Quiet and relaxing

Rooms were comfortable, butler Isabel was fantastic! The food at Sanctuary was some of the best we have experienced in Cuba! The pool is well maintained, quiet and never had a hard time finding a lounger.
