Riu Vallarta: Great stay!

The place was beautiful and clean. There were no seaweeds at all on the warm beach. I love that it wasn't over populated. Even though it was a family resort, the noise level was nice as the adult pools were separate from the kids area. Really enjoyed a relaxing week!

Riu Flamingos: Friendly Resort

This is the second time I have been to this hotel. The staff are all amazing and the hotel grounds are stunning. Rooms are OK, pools are great and the food is varied. Air conditioning is great in the rooms and there is also a fan which is all I used most nights. The only negative point was the hotel was three-quarters filled with Mexican/Spanish speaking clients and the Canadians and US clients felt very outnumbered.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Second visit, there will be a third

We love this resort. Rooms are very clean, staff is exceptional and the location is excellent. Just keep in mind that if you go off peak season and the resort is quiet, they reduce buffet service to a couple of theme nights a week for dinner and closed for dinner otherwise. They do have a la carte restaurants but only 3 so it gets a bit stale.

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Good resort in a great location!

The hotel itself is great! Clean, friendly staff, and good pools with tons of sunshine. The location for walking into old town PV is its highlight for sure. Easy stroll into town with lots to do. This resort has quite a bit of construction still on the go. Our travel site seemed to indicate this was over. Two floors (at least) were gutted and under works. Which means lots of loud banging, drilling and noise. Starts around 8 or 9 am, last throughout the day. Makes relaxing the by the [... read more] pool or sleeping in quite irritating. We had a Sun Terrace room and the crews were banging new pergolas above our heads to make us up every day. Beach is not worth it at all. Rocky, sharp rocks or urchins in the water make this a no go in my opinion. Food was decent. Gaviotas is a welcome surprise for a nice formal dinner. Buffet isn't much special. Pizzas by the pool at Pergola were the way to go for a decent lunch. Great staff!

Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Amazing Resort - excellent staff, 5 restaurants; entertainment in the evening, adult pool

Have been going to this resort for over 20 years & each year it gets better. Staff bend over backwards to meet your every need - in particular Gina,Leo, Oscar ,Dalia, Judith, Jorge, Christian and Reggie to name but a few. We have met marvellous people from all over Canada and the U.S. that come back year after year as well - considering all the different resorts that are available this speaks volumes for the resort. Riu Vallarta: Great vacation experience

Great service and a great entertainment program. I will try to come back with my entire family as soon as possible. All staff were extremely helpful and polite. I had a problem with the noise on my first night, then they moved me to another one without any additional questions asked.

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Awesome Resort!

We loved our stay at the Sunset Plaza and woukd definitely return! The staff was awesome, food great, service amazing and the rooms clean, stocked and had everything we needed! I loved the cabanas and pool service at the adult pool. The quacamole and fresh salsa/ chips and tempura fish was so good!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Ok

Food was not very good, rooms were decent, bartenders were inconsistent on making drinks, block 6 where I was is to far away and full of rude Mexicans. Beach was amazing and close distance to Bucerius

Grand Sirenis Matlali Hills: Unique resort

Interesting design with resort hillside and spread out. Lots of walking and a long way to reception but once new reception building opens, it will be better as closer to everything. Rooms were clean. Shuttles available if did not want to walk. Food good (not very spicy) but could have more restaurants in air conditioning during day. Beach area nice with shuttle provided. Las Palmas by the Sea: Pretty good resort

The resort is perfectly located right on the beach and close to all amenities. The staff are amazing, Guatloupe, Lorenzo, Martin and so many more hard to remember all the names but they are great. Entertainment was good every night. The adult pool was nice to have separate from the kids pool. Only thing we were disappointed about was not being able to have our own music at the pool. The gazebo for the el a carte was very good do not order the pork very dry. Salmon and chicken was divine. Rooms are clean and bed is decent but pillows are lumpy. Thank you Martha for your great service on keeping our room clean. No bar fridge no coffee makers in rooms if you are expecting this its not there. Nice ocean view from balcony picture perfect and also of the mountains. Was gorgeous views. Beach front is lovely but spent most of our time by the pool. Very good about keeping the kids out of this pool but there should be exceptions for those teens that are 17 almost 18 and with parents. Music at the kids pool sounded like fun, never went into that pool but they seemed to be having fun. Hotel is nothing fancy or big but quaint, clean, nice grounds and very nice pleasant staff. Nice they let us keep our bands on till our pick up and held our bags, check out noon, pick up 3:20. I would come back again 3-3.5 star quality.

This hotel was awesome! This was the 3rd time at the resort and I enjoyed every minute of it! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Enterinament crew did a great job! I would for sure go back to this hotel!

Las Palmas by the Sea: Best price for Value

To all those reading this ..let me tell you first of all that Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful city . Il begin by Air transat staff Local at the airport were quite identifiable amidst the melee of the very trying time share gangs .My family and i wife son and 1 yo g/son were promptly wizzed off to the hotel Las Plamas. The place is mindblowingly clean the staff is first class always smiling friendly and eager to assist you.. the palapa restaurant is always accommodating and a great variety of food is always available very few repeats the staff there are compared to 5 star they are always neat clean and well spoken.. the entire grounds was spot less not even a dried leaf to be seen pool is great beach was nice not too busy a few vendors legally identifiable. the housekeeping staff was thorough and prompt as we did have the baby.. i had a an issue with the toilet it was fixed in ten minutes . the drinks were really ggod and the sunsets were amazing the city is safe to venture and a lot of local candies etc.I really love love LAs palmas and their staff .they were amazing the ambiance is traditional which was great , they also had a healthy Bar. the bartender Pablo an the security guard Pedro made my experience very memorable. the servers Federico was amazing actually all of them were.. the night entertainment was the ... the overall experience was great .. met some really nice families as well.. All amenities required for a fun vacation are provided at the resort. Short walk to Bucerias to experience the local atmosphere. Some improvements for a better experience: Better WiFi access to all parts of the resort, maintenance & cleaning of adjacent Pool/Beach-Bar bathrooms.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Great Resort

The resort is a solid 3.5 star. The food was great (not a huge selection, but good enough). The staff are very friendly and the service in the buffet and a la carte restaurants was excellent. All restaurants are outdoors, 1 buffet, 2 a la carte and you can go to the a la carte's all week for dinner if you want to, you just have to book each night's dinner the same day between 11 and 2 pm with Rosa. The building is 40 years old, but very very clean! There are no fridges or coffee makers in  [... read more]the rooms, but that was not a deal breaker. We were in room 401, an Ocean View room. It was a corner room, with 3 sliding doors, the breeze that came through was amazing. The beach is not white sand, more brown, lots of little pebbles, and a rough undertow so we were only able to go in up to our knees. We spent the rest of the time at the adult pool. The butler service at the adult pool runs from about noon to 5pm and he was terrific (Guadalupe)! Staff are quick to kick out children (under 18) who wander into the adult pool area. We walked to the Walmart which was about 40 minutes away and took a bus back for $7.5 pesos each which is about $0.35 US. The area is really safe, I actually walked to the bank myself and felt safe. I would definitely go back!

Everything is great , hotel staff and rooms are very comfortable , the location is excellent , resort is extremely clean . Very easy to get around resort with some mobility issues . A very positive experience .

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: More than I expected

Everything was amazing. Food room , beach, service. ETC .I loved the beach and the pool , nice beach to go for a walk and enjoy the sunset . The resort is only couples minutes from the airport . Best yet vacation .

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Beautiful location

Amazing view. We really enjoyed our visit! Clean, great for the whole family. Viktor at the water sport was very nice and helpful. The Pop team was very good and engaging . The mini zoo was fun and the à la carte restaurants were very good.

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Lovely Resort!

The Occidental is a very nice resort! Not too big, it would be good for anyone who may have accessibility needs. It is clean and modern and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good with fresh salsa and guacamole and other Mexican foods available every day...yummy! I was really impressed the hotel does not use disposable plastic cups, plates or cutlery, no straws etc. All food is served on dinnerware, cloth napkins etc! Only plastic water bottles in the rooms and it appears they recycle [... read more] them! The beach here is great, you can walk for miles and at low tide the flats make for a nice even walking surface. Nice ambient music in the main buffet and along the covered walkway. Entertainment was resort fare but changed nightly and was good. My only suggestions would be for the resort to provide free wifi if even just in the lobby. Also the full ocean view rooms are directly over the lobby bar and the sound does carry up at night, so if you want a quieter room suggest a room on the sides. Wine is just a basic Spanish white or red, but the mixed drinks were good.

Samba Vallarta: Had a great vacation

The resort itself is older but spotless. The staff are extremely hard working and friendly. Food and drinks were good. Overall feel is relaxing. No party like the Riu next door. The beach is truly amazing and there was always a palapa available.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Very nice vacation.

This resort has been gradually upgraded since we were there three years ago. Everything was great including the food and drinks. Employees were also as good as we have found at any resort. Hector and Noel in particular. We chose the Supersaver room so it was a bit small but well kept and the maid service for the room was great. No shortage of water and it tasted great throughout the restaurants and bars and plenty of bottled water supplied for use in our room. The Beach Club was also very nice with a great beach and food/bar/washroom set up for use during the day. 15 minute walk or short bus ride provided there and back every day, no charge. I recommend the resort sets up a better system for providing change easily for guests for tipping and also provide a reciprocal free day pass agreement with The Royal Decameron in PV to allow guests to try it out and possibly book there as well in the future. That would make for a nice day excursion.
