Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: AMAZING TIME
I recently stayed at this resort (April 19-27) Overall this Resort is Amazing!! The Staff was great and super friendly. Antonio was the best beach waiter, ensuring our drinks were replenished every 20 minutes without needing to ask, he was even able to put an early hot dog order in for me:)!! Luis... Breakfast waiter and Mediterranean waiter, also made sure we were well taken care of!!! They beach was fantastic! The water was crystal clear and no seaweed most of our stay. Air transit Representat [... read more]
Occidental Punta Cana: Great!!!
The hotel was wonderful. Food was excellent!!! Would definitely go back. Beach was beautiful but could use more sitting. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Occidental Grand was super clean and lots of activities to enjoy.
Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Overall Good Resort
When we stayed at the Bahia Principe, the people were amazing as well as the grounds. We found everything to be pretty clean but I found my bed to be quiet dusty. The food was pretty good in the buffet, a bit repetitive but the a la cartes did not live up to the expectations. We did have a very fun trip and there was lots to do on the resort. It was an hour and 30 minutes from the airport which to me is too far.
Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Staff treated us like royalty
Our stay at Melia Caribe, D.R. was one of the best times of our lives. Was first trip to D.R. and far exceeded expectations. Everything was handled in a personal and caring way starting with excellent service from our travel agent. The resort staff treated us like royality.
The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful View
First time to Samana and the views were very beautiful from hotel over looking the ocean. The resort is on a cliff so you need to take elevator to beach... Beach was not that big and like most other resorts, had to get there early to 'reserve' chairs. ( oh I forgot you can't reserve...ya right! ) There is also another beach on the other side of the resort, but the water looked kind of muddy from the waves. Lots of stairs to get around resort, so if you have health problems where that might affec [... read more]
Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Good value for my money!
What I liked most about this resort was that it was very compact. Didn't take longer than 5 minutes to get anywhere (rooms - pool - restaurants - lobby - beach). I stayed in building 8 which was very convenient - room was lovely, very comfy bed. The buffet restaurant was not bad, breakfast was probably the best meal served there. I really enjoyed the snack bar for lunch. Missed having a swim up bar but loved that the pool bar stayed open until late!
Riu Merengue: Ok stay-boring for kids
This resort is good for a nice relaxing vacation, there wasn't alot for kids to do at this resort though. I have been to Dominican a few times now and I was a little disappointed in the lack of interaction with the animation team. In the past we got to know the people working on the resort during our stay and at this resort I can't even tell you their names. The food was great, probably the best food with all my stays in Dominican. The rooms were always kept very clean. The A/C didn't work prett [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Group Trip for Wedding Gone Wrong
The grounds were we kept and lovely. Have stayed at other 5* in Dominican that the rooms were much nicer and had better housekeeping services. Some in our group had issues getting towels and toilet paper. 2 rooms in our group flooded and staff were not helpful and even tried to move my 89 year old grandparents to a second floor room even though they can't do stairs, someone in our group had to give up their room for my grandparents. Every issue we had the staff said "not my problem", even though [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Bahia Principe Ambar, D.R.
Grounds were well kept. The beach was fabulous and there was plenty of shade and sunny spots. We didn't have any problems finding lounge chairs on the beach and spent every day there. Wonderful ocean breezes kept the temperatures from being stifling. Our room was very nice and the maid made sure it was done early in case we wanted a siesta. There were plenty of towels, however, face clothes were harder to come by. I recommend you bring some of your own (in case). Good selection of food and "them [... read more]
Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Excellent Family Resort
Great location, nice clean long beach, food was very good which was a concern of ours as our children are picky eaters. The waterpark is an added bonus that the kids liked which made it an overall excellent family vacation.
Tropical Deluxe Princess: Great Resort in it's Day
This resort is Beautiful, the tress, shrubs, grounds, beach all excellent. the outside appearance of the resort is first class, The food I found good but many in our party did not like, the rooms were very clean but very outdated, some newer furniture, beds, sheets would be a huge improvement.
Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Awesome Resort!
This was my husband and my first "all inclusive" resort trip, ever. I told our travelling companions that we should not have made the Melia Caribe our first getaway because it was everything and more then we could have imagined. The grounds were meticulous, food excellent, drinks amazing, beach - a dream come true, room beautiful, clean, and with an awesome view of beautiful gardens. Staff always very, very friendly and so helpful.
Riu Merengue: Amazing all around!
The Riu Merengue was excellent!! The food was excellent, wide variety and something for everyone! The staff was great, big smiles all around! The resort was very clean and well kept! Loved the beach! Would recommend to anyone and can't wait to go back!!!
Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Grew tired of hearing VIP only
The grounds were well- kept and beautiful. If is very hilly, so wouldn't recommend to guests with mobility issues. Our "garden view" was staring at a brick wall off our patio, which on the other side of it was a street. We've traveled a lot and have never seen such a "class" system. Tons of restaurants, bars, beaches and pools that we couldn't go to, because we weren't VIP. This is part of their timeshare that isn't a timeshare program. Makes you feel "less-than".
Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Awesome Memories Made
My 16 year old son am myself Had a fantastic time the people were great very helpful an very friendly ,the food was amazing , loved the beach ,the room was kept clean .the room was very fine for a standard room (just wish the water was a little warmer in the shower ) but that is the only thing . Everything else was fantastic . We would do it again in a heat beat . Air transit was the best :) Thank you for a memory filled trip !!!
Paradise Playa Dorada: Absolute Paradise
A week in paradise.. all was great... the food was excellent.. good variety.. great drinks selection...the beach was super clean.. very welcoming staff...!!!! I will recommend this resort and will most likely go back again.
Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great value for just relaxing
There was no wow factor , but everything , room and the building it was in , food , beer , beach , pool etc etc was pretty good. Housekeeping staff were very good. We recommend somewhere around building 12 if you want some quiet time , and close to the beach but only a minute or two from the pool. Learn the walkways , two minutes anywhere on right walkway. We went beach to eat to pool and so on, ask about free extra cirriculars . Cautions , bring all you need for sunblocks etc., everything is re [... read more]

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: They gave us a wonderful time
Spent 10 days at Anbar, the adult-only section of this humungous resort. We were looking for a quiet break from our coldest winter ever and we found heaven. We had comfortable beds in a quiet room just steps away from our restaurant and a 3-minute walk to the beach. The buffets offered a great assortment of beautifully prepared dishes and the house wines were excellent. We had a particularly memorable meal at the Italian restaurant by the beach. We found the Dominican people to be the warmest, h [... read more]
Riu Bambu: our vacation
