Royal Solaris Cancun: A pleasant surprise!

We planned this trip in December and assumed that it would be a decent resort based on posted reviews. I have to say that the resort surpassed my expectations. From shuttle pick up and drop off to front desk staff that everyone was great to deal with. The food was excellent, the resort is clean, the room was very clean and refreshed daily and the view of the ocean was fantastic. The only drawback for me would be that the bathroom in our room was somewhat outdated. I would give the resort 4 stars!

The Bel Air: No Thanks

Very disappointed with everything. The staff is very unhappy and unfriendly. The beach was full of sea weed. Food was very unsatisfactory, the pools were in the shade and 4 feet deep. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Riu Playacar: Great hotel

Hotel has been totally renovated. Rooms are large, modern and kept very clean. Buffet testaraunts good selection and quality of food. Staff through out were very friendly and smiling. Bar service was good. Great access to beautiful wide sandy beach. Pools were always clean. Ample loungers around pools and on beach. Good location with short taxi ride to 5th Avenue. Small shopping center accross the street, Nightly entertainment was poor.

Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Will definately come back!

The oh by oasis was an amazing hotel. The breakfast every morning was great with many options. The shuttle service to oasis grand was a huge plus as we saved a lot of money on taxis. We enjoyed staying here more then we would have at an all inclusive because we got to do more cultural activities and eat better quality authentic food. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a more adventurous trip!

Riu Palace Peninsula: Huge resort far from the noise.

We stayed for seven nights in the king jacuzzi suite. The suite was massive, larger then our 2 bed condo downtown Toronto with a huge patio. Amazing views of the sea from every window. We were on the sixth floor. I've stayed in many all inclusive resorts this was by far the best suite we've stayed in. That said, the food was poor for a hotel of this grade. We were left hunting for it a lot throughout the day which infuriated us. Drinks too you needed to tip just to get beach service. The [... read more] service, I found almost everyone I dealt with had poor customer service. From the front desk to the bars. Some were great but on the whole not what I would expect. This is contrary to every other Mexican resort I've stayed in. I really found them all to be unfriendly and unhelpful. The other glaring thing I noticed was the lack of English. Again a resort of this size and star rating I would have expected better. I found this a plus, but it is a drive in a cab to the main strip. Because we found the food so poor at the hotel and truthfully because we like to eat out we left the hotel every night and found ourselves spending as much as $30 US to get to any particular high-end restaurant. Overall I found for the money we spent and the suite we stayed in, it was good value for money. However if I had stayed in a regular suite which were no larger than small New York hotel rooms I definitely would not recommend this hotel there are better beach closer to the strip in Cancun. If you're not a really fussed about food but do you want five star amenities this hotel really does have all of that.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Wonderful Vacation

This was a wonderful resort, very clean, great staff, good food and lots to do. Lots of pools and restaurants to choose from. The buffet restaurant was terrific. Already planning next year's return trip!!!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: 2nd time around was even better!

I went 3 years ago and it was great. This time around they had added more restaurants and they were all exceptional. Loved the Thai and sushi the most. Italian was great too. The grounds are very well kept and staff is very friendly.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Absolutely Amazing

Rooms and pools were very clean! Food choices were endless- Love that you didn't have to make any reservations Staff was incredible, very helpful, energetic and aim to please Excursions were easy to book through hotel Always activities going on

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Exceptional resort. Holiday

Our trip was amazing ! Our travel agent Debbie maguire is the best. Resort has excellent view of the ocean and skyline, very clean, friendly staff, great food and a very personal touch to each guest and family. From the front desk to the concierges, bar staff pool attendants it is the top of line service. Great attention to detail and this was our fourth return trip. The malecon boardwalk is a real treat as is Las calietas. Thank you Debbie!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great Place!

Ocean Coral & Turquesa was a lovely resort. Well laid out with a kids section/pool, leisure section/pool, and more of a bar scene pool with a swim up bar. Live music at night around the pool bar and also up in the lobby. Always different activities going on each night. Food was excellent, buffet had pretty much everything you would need, lots of options for a la carte restaurants with excellent service. They even had staff on the beach bringing drinks right to you. Room was pretty decent, fairly [... read more] large and nice view from the balcony. Overall excellent place to stay with lots of walkable beach! Lots of conch shells and coral in the water (but not crazy rocky)- a little more seaweed than I would have liked, but they cleaned the beach constantly and our section of the water wasn't too seaweedy compared to other resorts further down the beach.

Occidental Cozumel: Fantastic!

Beautiful resort with very lush, manicured vegetation. The secluded Mexican Hacienda style buildings and layout leave the impression of a more upscale, quiet hotel (in comparison to multiple all-inclusive resorts we have visited in the past). We enjoyed the nice sandy beach, watching sunsets from the wooden pier, dancing in the courtyard under the stars to a live band as well as a huge variety of food and drinks. Buganvilias Resort: Amazing Resort

They are recently renovating the rooms. I had one of the older rooms which was still nice. Food is fair. Grounds are very nice. The service in the buffet is average. The service in the specialty restaurants is very good.

Paradisus Cancun: Great Resort

My wife and I stayed at the Paradisus Cancun from 08-15 Jan 2017. It is by far the nicest place we have stayed. The resort was clean , rooms were spacious and service was great. The food at the Buffet was very good and 5 of the 6 restaurants we tried the food was very good to great. We stayed on the Royal Service side and the service their was very good. All the staff were friendly and were fun to talk and joke with. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone.

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf and Spa: Disappointment all around

A few very nasty surprises: 1. no possibility to get into the ocean (sun and the ocean are the only reasons one goes to Mexico and spends thousands of dollars) 2. no entertainment of any kind, day or night-time 3. rooms very spartan by comparison to the Mayan Riviera hotels 4. no alcoholic drinks in the room minibars allowed 5. no buffet possibilities for lunch or dinner 6. only 2 restaurants in the whole resort 7. need to sign for every drink as the resort is a mixture of all inclusive a [... read more]nd non-inclusive guests. Many accounting errors result from this. 8. Sunwing representative almost invisible and useless 9. Food selection very limited

Breathless Riviera Cancun: A place to relax (if you want too)

The previous posting were very accurate, there really isn't a beach to sit or walk on, the music at night can be to much to bare, and location wise it isn't close to any amenities to go too But the food and service is excellent, the rooms are kept up and well maintained, people seem friendly and willing to help

Canto Del Sol: Clean, helpful, and friendly

Canto del Sol was lovely. Nice pools, food was good and staff very pleasant. Some evening entertainment was great, others were a bit of a let down. Overall good. Try the Rhythms of the Night tour, it was great, even saw whales and dolphins and the crew were lots of fun.

Allegro Cozumel: Divers Paradise

This was an amazing trip starting off by a nicely renovated from top to bottom complex . The grounds were clean and nicely manicured and rooms were very comfortable . Tried all the restaurants all had very polite and hard working staff with good selections to choose from . I purchased the Ultimate divers package which i my mind was well worth the added cost from private concierge named Hector who made or week a pleasure to the private relaxing center with premium bar and food when the other re [... read more]staurants were in transition and dive benifits for the week with a great dive center on site with great instructors to show you all the amazing wild life and coral structures this great reef area has to offer . This getaway is rated 4 star but with a few minor tweaks will be a 5 i will definitely be going back again soon .

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Amazing Service

We arrived at the resort around 11pm, had a very quick check in and taken to our room. I had contacted the resort prior to us arriving to let them know my husband's birthday was during our stay. When we got into the room they had a bottle of wine, 2 glasses and a beautiful cake waiting. The room itself was amazing, huge, with an amazing ocean view and huge balcony. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. We were hoping to have a drink before bed and told we could go to Desires n [... read more]ightclub. We couldn't talk to each other it was so loud and there was a smoke machine going. We quickly left and walked down the beach to the next resort to get a drink and a bite to eat. The food was very good at the ala cartes for dinner and lunch, I would recommend going to the buffet for breakfast. We ordered room service for breakfast twice and it was not very good. The food from the beach menu was very good. The servers were all fantastic. The beach is beautiful and long, but there are no palapas unless you are in the privileged section and not many there. The rest of the beach has umbrellas, but again not many. There was a strong smell of sewer gas throughout areas of the resort every once in a while including our washroom. There wasn't much in the way of entertainment. What was missing was a real lobby. It is more like a wide entrance to the back of the resort. This resort isn't up to the usual Secrets standards, but they are constantly working and I can see they are trying to get it there but they have a way to go. So saying all this. The food, the service and the room were all great.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Iberostar a place to enjoy.

Staff were great. Good food. Nice rooms. Excellent service. Nice choice of resturants. Good selection of excursions. The trip back and forth to the airport was easy. We always felt safe and secure.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Paradise

I am happy to write a review for Breathless in Cancun...it was truly an amazing resort! First I have to say the people who work there were all the most friendly staff I have ever encountered at a resort! A special shout out to Andre, Gaby, Migel and Gisele. ...they made our time there extra special 😍 The resort itself is so beautiful!! The pools with the sunken seating areas were awesome! The food was fantastic not just in the restaurants. ...which we enjoyed not having to reserve😀 The roo [... read more]ms were lovely...especially enjoyed the shower!!! The entertainment was fantastic! I loved the loud music, shows foam pool parties and dancing that was a big part of this resort🖒. If there was any drawback it would be that there really is not much of a beach to speak of. With everything else this resort has to offer, I actually didn't mind....even though I am a beach lover! LOVED IT🤗
