Breathless Riviera Cancun: The World "Breathless" says it all!!

This was an amazing resort, best in class and the name is so fitting, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, you have outdone yourself with this resort. Staff was unbelievable, a job well done to all that has been involved with this resort. Highly recommended!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Amazing resort is right

This resort is exceptional. The food, the hospitality, and everything else. Awesome. One of the best holidays I've ever had. Everything I needed was there. There was no need to lease the resort. I did go see some attractions that I booked through the resort. All in all. I'm going back next winter.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: We loved it

The building was beautiful and the staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and mostly a la cart, which is what we prefer. There is small things that we could comment on that could have been better but there will always be little things at every resort or hotel stay. We enjoyed El Dorado and we would go back.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: We Keep Coming Back!!

We stayed at the Grand Bahia over the Christmas hoildays and loved all 11 days! This is truly a 5 star resort. I wasn't disappointed about anything except for the fact we eventually had to return home. Everything about this resort is exceptional - the food, the spacious rooms, birds and wildlife, the amount of pools, a reserved spot on the beach, so many activities, beautiful scenery, etc. The staff could not do enough for us. They're truly wonderful. And this why we keep coming back!!

Barcelo Karmina: Just as good the second time!

Stayed at Barcelo Karmina in Manzanillo Jan 6-13/2017. We upgraded to oceanview and it truly lived up to it's name. We were in the Santiago tower room 5209 and we could see beautiful sun rises and the lights of the city in the evening. Room is large with a step down to the living area. The bathroom is huge with two vanities apart from each other. Fridge was stalked daily with drinks and snacks. The buffet is amazing and we really enjoyed the 3 a la carte restaurants. Small beach and many pools t [... read more]o choose from. We spent half our week at the beach and the rest of the time at the adult only pool. Do not pay for the Premium Level. It is a waste of money. The bus that took us to the airport did not having functioning AC so it made for an uncomfortable ride. Beware the airport is very poor....only 2 vending machines that only take pesos. No restaurant or TV to watch...absolutley nothing to do for 3-4 hours!

Riu Flamingos: Very nice resort but bad flu virus!

The resort was absolutely beautiful, the staff were amazing, the food was great with and a great variety of foods. The steak house was really good! My son's both had so much fun and enjoyed all the day time sports. Entertainment staff by the pool were awesome! The beach was one of the nicest beaches I have ever seen. You could walk for miles and the kids had a blast boogie boarding. The rooms were very nice as well as clean. There was a very bad stomach flu virus going around the resort and [... read more] quite a few people were sick. I was violently ill for 1 night and not well for the next few days. My husband ended up getting it in the airport on our way home so you can just imagine what the flight home was like. I'm not blaming the resort, they can't control viruses but it really ruined our vacation. I would highly recommend to use hand sanitizer before eating and take Dukorol before vacationing in Mexico.

Occidental Costa Cancun: Nice resort

The only issue I had with this resort was making dinner reservations for a group of 9. We are a family of 9 who enjoy to eat dinner together, especially dinner. This was a big deal and couldn't accommodate us, they wanted us to eat at different times! We had to get the hotel manager involved to get help. Based on how stressful it was to eat together we will not return. If you are a group smaller than 8 then this is a great resort. Food is good, drinks are good and service is great. El Cozumeleno Beach: Hotel Pretty good

Hotel was nice, Clean rooms no issues with room at all -my highest priority Food was very tasty but no variety seemed to be same options everyday day -luckily I love fresh Tacos! Restaurant portions are very small and very few seating's each night - ask for absolute or Smirnoff they have it hidden - Tips didnt seem to make a difference in my level of service - Very limited hotel entertainment - Make your own fun bring movies to watch Beach was always windy and closed many days -  [... read more]with red flag warning all week- snorkeling with low visibility Check in was late 11pm and no food at all available - - hotel check in clerk said restaurant was open late but it had already closed - internet access was only on the lobby but I was unable to get any access You get what you pay for - low cost - clean and spacious room -

Selection Riviera Cancun: Great time in the adults only section

The resort was great, I will start with the small negatives, not enough restaurants! The food in them was great but there was always a wait time and lineups. We ordered room service A LOT, which was amazing but I felt like I didn't get to take advantage of every place. Other small negative was the pool bar closes at 5 and EVERY restaurant closed for a lunch dinner switch break around 3-4 the one day we were starving and couldn't find anywhere to eat, one place should be open at all times. We were in block 2 which is adults only with an adult only pool right out front with amazing Bali Beds - which we got every time we wanted to hang by the pool. All other pools we avoided because this was a kid friendly hotel everywhere else. The hotel was spotless the maids were amazing and we watched the staff scrub the pool chairs every night. The staff was incredible, always going above and beyond, My Pleasure is their motto! My amazing travel agent Cassandra Royle (trip central) found us this place which we had never heard of and so happy with it. We want to try Azul Fives another part of their chain or the adults only El Dorado. The snorkeling off the coast was amazing, well worth the money! The Italian restaurant was reallllllyyy good, the room service was a real highlight and the Iceberg (draft beer with a margarita on top) was my boyfriends go to drink. Overall great time and would visit an Azul again!

Occidental Cozumel: Very nice resort

The grounds, gardens, beach was very nice Weekends no entertainment Disco was lame Pool table fun, staff were all excellent - friendly and helpful During the week very good entertainment with dancing shows and singing No swim up bar but the bar was right beside the pool - accessible and convenient. Good drinks. Riu Santa Fe: Great time!

Hotel was incredibly clean and the staff were friendly and went beyond to make our stay amazing! The pools were beautiful, drinks were cold and the sun was hot! Couldn't have asked for anything better. Always a good variety of food. Reservations were not required for the specialty restaurants so there were always line-ups so that was a bit of a hassle. I can't say enough about the great staff...so hardworking, kind, and always smiling.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Read carefully, spoilers present lol

As travelers with medium expectations from their future travels we were somehow well positioned to like our recent stay at this resort. The resort is well maintained and people at divers levels of maintenance, service or managing look you in the eye and you know they strive to give you the best experience. As we traveled in early January and evaluating that the resort was half full we suppose that in peak season this availability would be compromised. We liked the animation team efforts to bring each batch of vacationers to speed until they leave. We liked the reliability of food and drinks supplying chain. There is a diversity of options and the quality is good while other resorts seem to us having more variety. from day to day. The seafood restaurant with full window wall seaside is awesome while the experience of the italian restaurant is overall good. Both have to improve though the quality of some of their offerings. The full fried fish tasted like it was previously frozen for a decade (lol) and the rib steak medium was in fact rare. Had to be re -cooked, second time perfect. Liked the room service, included in the all included package, liked the room maintaining, in-room safe, the furnished little fridge (bottled water, beer and sodas), the choice of TV channels offered. But the Standard Definition makes for the majority of the customers an unbearable time when you have to pass some time indoors. And that is because most of us have HD channels for some time now, making the transition to 4k back at home. Hope you know what I mean.. The toiletries offered in the bathroom were very basic (shampoo body lotion and soap) , compared with comparable 4 stars resorts. Wifi is offered complimentary but the quality is spotty , probably to make way for a premium version. The improvement and the fusion of this nowadays basic need could be envisioned. The number of the pools and jacuzzi is ok I guess but I wonder what is like when hotel is full. We were a little bit startled that the jacuzzi were not heated as we saw elsewhere. The fact that one was defective was not remarked by people We bought 3 tickets for three unrelated , mixed gender, adults. This situation is not envisioned as the rooms are designed to accommodate only a couple (even that two double beds are provide). Without shower privacy the stay of even a couple with kids is problematic at best. There are only two-of-everything provided with the room.We had to beg several times to have this issue addressed. Some extra shampoo was provided , a bottle water and an extra beer. The 4 towels original provided were in turn adequate. Loved the IceCream and coffee place which also offered sandwichs and little pastries. Loved the distribution of bars and washrooms, the quality of their maintenance. Loved the glass that is everywhere making for unobstructed view to enjoy the beautiful layout of the resort.Loved the under-the-road passage to go to the beach that makes a non issue the fact that the main facilities of the resort are the other side of the road that longs the shore. The proximity of the cruise pier could be a plus for some that love these marvels of machineries that are the cruise ships or a downside for some that would like less disturbed (and subject to possible pollution) waters. The quality of the water seems very good none the less. All in all a good experience and a near perfect vacation with a stellar team at your service.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Love the Mexican Feel

Hacienda Buenaventura was like staying in old Mexico...amazing. Very very clean and cozy. The staff was kind and helpful. Loved this place because it was close to everything. Never had to take a taxi .. the city bus passes right in front and it was only 7.5 peso's per person (about .30 cents) to town centre and the Malecon. Busses are plentiful and pass every five min. They are doing some renovations, the manager said they are trying to do the things that the reviews are asking for. The pool  [... read more]and food were delish. The Beach Club was wonderful and you never had to fight for a chair with shade. We visited the spa which is like a small paradise, with paths, small tiny river and little thatched room areas ... gorgeous! But we didn't get a chance to have one - our days ended up full and got away on us, next time for sure. The prices at the spa were better than most other resorts I've been -very affordable. We also visited the famous Cathedral named after lady of Guadalupe in town central and also went on a mule ride in the mountains. Since on past vacations I've done most of the regular excursions we decided to on the mules in the mountains (through Canopy Tours). If you think this would be a boring outing ... think again! It was exciting, scary (walking on the edge of mountain cliffs) and a lot of fun .. half way you stop at a beautiful waterfall in the mountains where you can swim if you like. We enjoyed the resort and would return!

Riu Flamingos: Riu Jalisco

The hotel was nice, grounds were nice, very kid oriented. The beach was nicer than other Places I have been to Mexico. My only complaint is the ATM machines are always out of order, 95 per cent of the time. And this was at all 3 Riu's you could only change your Canadian money at the check in desk for pesos at a lousy rate. I had to take a cab twice to go get money from an ATM at a bank. Riu Flamingos: Nice Resort For Family

I enjoyed my stay at the Riu Jalisco. Pros: Clean Variety of food Not too big Beauitful beach Lots of lounge chairs around the pool and on the beach Lots of entertainment/activities Great bar staff Friendly staff Close to a small town Bucerias Cons: Uncomfortable beds (very hard) I personally thought hotel restaurants were under staffed. Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Incredible holiday!

The resort is beautiful (very new) with lovely facilities. The rooms were clean and nicely laid out. The swim up rooms are fun for the kids. Food at the buffet was excellent ( thw kids loved the kids area in rhe buffet snd the gelato station was a hit at lunch and dinner) and the a la care restaurants were even better! Service from all staff was excellent and they were very attentive to our needs. If you have time to enjoy the spa it is worth while. The water spa prior to my treatment wa [... read more]s a highlight! Pools around the resort varied in temperature but most were reasonably heated. The sand on the beach was so soft which was a treat compared to some other Mexican resorts that had more of a rocky texture. For dinners at the a la carte restaurants, we had group of 15 so reservations were sometimes tricky but they did try to accomodate our size and time requests as best as they could. The only thing lacking was the kids club. The staff wasn't very engaging or welcoming with the kids and they close for lunch every day which is tough when we are only dropping them off at 10 or 11 am. Otherwise I would recommend this resort to families with kids if all ages.

Flamingo Vallarta: Pleasantly Pleased

Last minute trip brought us to the Flamingo PV and although I was skeptical the night we checked in at 3am(near the airport, unsure of the location and condition of the hotel etc.,) my husband and I would go back in a heartbeat. It wasn't the service or the guestroom decor, it WAS the ambience, the location, the serenity and most of all Leonardo. A great ambassador for the hotel! The food was very good. The last night there was an issue with our flight back home so the airline put us up in a 5 star resort (we're talking intercontinental style) with every single amenity, perks and top notch service and food imaginable. Well, although it was a gorgeous resort, we missed the Flamingo and wished the airline company would have just left us there. In fact at 9pm that same night we went back to the Flamingo to watch the Mexican dancers preform. If you want a party atmosphere this is not the place for you. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Gastronomically (and) Awesome Resort

Loved the great selection of à la carte gourmet restaurants. Very well kept rooms and grounds, excellent suite for our family and father, great service, nice entertainment, and despite a the waves being a little high the last few days, really enjoyed the impeccable beach. Will definitely return to this or another Karisma resort!

Occidental Cozumel: Lush and beautiful!

If our room wasn't exquisite enough, getting to it was amazing. All paths run amid lush tropical trees, palms and shrubs, very well maintained. The room was gorgeous with marble floors and counters, rain showerhead, comfortable bed and wonderful balcony! The pool is right beside the beach so you could relax or be part of the activities. Plenty of sunshine activities! Volleyball in and out of the pool, tennis, aquagym, snorkelling, scuba training, kayaking, many more, all free. The only thing th [... read more]at worried me was what to do if it rained a few days? There was a spa, gym and billiards but that only lasts so long. In any case we didn't need to worry; we had 6 out of 7 gorgeous days. Oh ya, and the resort is one of very few that has a sandy beach on crystal blue waters... the others around us were rocky. The buffets were delectable, and the restaurants superb. I had a fabulous week!

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Very good hotel, with no complaints!

The hotel was really good. Food on the resort was excellent. Every night we ate at the buffet that had something different to look forward to and then talk about later. Pools were clean and not at all packed during the days, and there were activities going on each day. The hosts were very including as well. The price was very reasonable as well. My only complaint, was that the hot tub was not hot enough at night time. But by no means is that a deal breaker.
