Paradise Playa Dorada: Awesome and friendly!!!

been to the caribean many times, and we have never had such great staff. front desk staff were always friendly. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. Always something good to eat. The Italian a la carte was fantastic in all ways. Best snorkeling and swimming beach area in Playa Dorada. Can' t say anything bad about the resort, only the beach vendors trying to make a living. And the resort has no say about it there. The time share people can be a bit pushy too, since they work on commission. [... read more] But AWESOME overall!

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great Resort Sub Standard A La Cartes

Can't say enough good about the resort, They went out of their way to make your stay Great. The only complaint and it's one that needs to be addressed is the A la Carte restaurants. What a disappointment, my wife and I really enjoy getting dressed up and going out to dinner. My wife's statement says it all. " Getting dressed up to go to a buffet seems wrong". Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: 5 star at a 3 star price

Beautiful beach, clean, secure, no beach hustlers, great food, and peace and quiet! The infrastructure is a bit tired in places, but the staff and their service is top notch! The buffets are above average to other resorts, and all 3 restaurants were terrific!

Excellence Punta Cana: One of my "old" favourites

Enjoyed this hotel almost 10 years ago, went back last year...it's showing its age. Great quality and tremendous service. Very small, quaint resort setting. Our room was 87 steps to the beach (yes I measured) it started us as Excellence fans and we've enjoyed the newer Excellence Playa Mujures because of this resort, our "new" fave. Great fun on a boogie board. Lastly, it's located away from everything, so great if you're not venturing out, just staying out for relaxing...this is the place for that but it was the last resort on the way from the airport. No big deal to me but be aware of this if you want to be on excursions etc.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great Resort

We had a recently upgraded room, King Size Bed. Nice décor. Staff always very accommodating. We ate at the Ocean Grill Restaurant one evening - very, very good with a nice atmosphere for the evening meal. We ate twice at the Italian Restaurant - exceptional. We had seven days of sunshine.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Awful!!

The Sirenis Resort does not qualify for 4 stars (much less 5 stars as stated on there website). On a positive note: Cruz our cleaning lady and the young guy at the trampolines were nice and polite. Dirty room with water dripping from the ceiling, musty smell, dirty walls and bath tub, chipped and broken furniture. Dead birds and a mouse at the pool. Pool Smells bad, has murky floors and green algae. Stale milk served in my cofee at waterpark . Served myself a salad at buffet, in it was a plastic [... read more] spoon. Long line upsand wait at buffet. In general staff is misinformed. Some are nice, others very rude. Hotel is in dire need of improving their cleanliness and requires a lot of maintenance work. Employees need customer service

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Enjoyable Stay

Overall my stay was very enjoyable. The Hotel itself is very nice and clean. The grounds are immaculate and well maintained. Staff is extremely friendly and quick to respond to any deficiencies. Room was a little small but very nice. The food was excellent and a wide variety, something for everyone. A la carts were fabulous especially the steak house and Italian. The pool is large and refreshing, could use a couple more floaties. Maria the pool waitress was awesome very friendly

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Awesome service -great vacation !

Service was awesome everywhere on the resort . The whole property was sparkling clean at all times. Great food,drinks,stunning beach and pool areas. It was nice to go to restaurants without making reservations. We would go back to Dreams Punta Cana for sure!

Secrets Royal Beach: Good 1st Experience

This hotel had beautiful grounds, well maintained however I thought the preferred pool to be a little dirty (black mold) in grout. The rooms were very nice but could use more lighting in the bathroom. The food was very good but I didn't like that smoking was permitted at the buffet area outside. The preferred beach area could be improved, more palapa and nicer chairs. Overall, this was a nice resort and we would probably return.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Great Resort

grounds are beautiful, awesome pool with deep end, clean rooms, great assortment of food. Very family oriented. Needs a separate adult pool. Very large resort, they need benches down walkways for older vacationers.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: place for entertainment

Just wished if the mattress and the pillow were of better quality and comfort.. food was good but if there was more option for sea food. I would definitely visited again with my family and friends..perhaps next april

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great resort

The resort is perfect for people that want options. We love it because it's a small so everything is in walking distance, this property is closest to the beach and if you want action at night just hop on the trolley to the Peuble Principe where you can catch a second show or gamble at the casino or party away at the casino. Beach is great!! hotel is beautiful, clean and staff is so nice. The only down side is the food which isn't that bad at all!!. I definitely recommend it!!

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Nice resort but more palapas required for the beac

We really liked our stay, the front desk were very helpful, the room was nice and clean. It was very hard to find available shade from the sun on the beach,as there was not enough palapas available to shade the guests from the sun. The spa was nice, massages were excellent but expensive and some of the staff were not aware of the specials. I had to wait for 45 mins to get my massage although I was prepared and arrived early for my treatment

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Amazing

I was with my friends and we enjoyed everything there . Especially the animation team was amazing . And the food was so good. I liked it very much and i will recommend the hotel also to my friends . Xx

Whala Bavaro: Good Resort

We had a good time.We had a superior room which was clean and roomy.The food was average with a good varietyThe staff was very friendly. Had a issue with the one pool not being clean and they sent somebody out right away and it was resolved.I would recommend that you book a junior suite when booking.For a 3* it was a pretty good resort.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Nice Hotel

Great Hotel, great weather. Food and drinks not so good but you get what you pay for. Mexica and Italian Resturant very good. Good beaches. The locals came in for the weekend. To many line ups. Among others things. I will say no more.

IFA Villas Bavaro Beach Resorts: Beautiful beach

This smaller low key resort is situated on the most amazing beach in punta cana on Bavaro beach. Although the IFA is not your typical mega resort it still buzzes with things to do daily and a show in the theatre every night,although it should change the entertainment a little as some of the same music was there when we were there two years ago. The food although palatable was very limited not a lot of selection but still tasted good.,one buffet and one beach buffet for lunch which made trekking  [... read more]for a drink a little far but it still was good. The people in the Dominican are very genuine and friendly the service in and around the resort was excellent.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Great resort ! Great people !!

We just came back from 10 glorious days in the sun :) the resort is fantastic , food was great , service was top notch. We have been to Punta Cana 10 times and again we were impressed. The resort is all by itself so you don't have the constant traffic going by.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Excellent! Exclente!! Resort -

This was our first trip to Punta Cana. My husband and I stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Resort for Adults only. This resort is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. Very clean, amazing service. The staff were excellent and very friendly and courteous. Staying at the Ambar Resort gave us privileges to the other 4 resorts on the property with our wrist bands we could eat, drink and use all the facilities. Free Wi-fi in the main lobby. We highly recommend Luxury Bahi Principe Ambar Resort. W [... read more]e will go again.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Just okay

The rooms were okay, the first night we found a huge cockroach on the bathroom floor but never seen anything after that. The maid service was awesome Julie really took care of us.. The grounds were nice BUT they really do cater to the locals. I don't mind being around locals but they were extremely loud and rude. The buffet was just okay, you could find something to eat but again they really cater to the locals even with the food. The beach was beautiful even though we didn't spend a lot of time there as it was way too windy for our liking. I guess to sum it up, we got what we expected for what we paid.
