Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Just average
The grounds are well kept. The pool areas are very slippery. The breakfast buffet has a huge variety will not disappoint. However if you want a la cart good luck unless you plan on eating after nine. Be sure to bring faceclothes as they are hard to get. The beach area is knee deep. Definitely not a beach unless you go over to the kids side of the resort where you will be approached to by weed and smell it all day long. The rooms are nice other than the bathroom could use updating. Room service [... read more]
Grand Pineapple Beach: Disappointing
I was so looking forward to going back to Jamaica, it had some great things, the beach, ocean, Rick's cafe, margarittaville. The food on the resort was the exact same food every meal, ran out multiple times well before meal time was over. The staff was not attentive. Our room was usually cleaned at dinner. Our first room had a running toilet, not safety chain, remote for TV didn't work. A safe was not available the day we arrived. It is a great place to meet people do to the size of the resort. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great trip to Jamaica
Loved the hotel facility and the daily activities they had going on. We took a family trip for our daughter’s first vacation. We would definitely recommend this hotel to another family. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to use the kids club as it was under renovation during our stay.
Sandals South Coast: Loved Everything about it!!!
We had a great relaxing vacation. There was a quieter pool that we spent most of our time at. Did not have to make reservations for Dinner. Food was great. The staff was very accommodating with any needs we had for the room or at the restaurants. I really liked how there was a restaurant for breakfast not just the buffet restaurant. We enjoyed the glass bottom boat ride and will try the water tubing next time we are there. The shows at night were very entertaining and the dancing was unbe [... read more]
Hedonism II: Website not exactly accurate
The food and entertainment was above average. The beach is beautiful. But the website description is not accurate. There is nothing "prude" anywhere at the resort. Expect nudity every where including breakfast lunch and dinner in all the dining rooms.
Royalton Blue Waters: Nice resort, grumpy staff
The grounds were beautiful and the rooms are the cleanest that I have ever seen in carribeam. It is worth it to upgrade to diamond club. Difficult to eat if you require a celiac diet as very few are knowledgeable on this.
Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing time
We had an amazing family vacation here. The staff was outstanding the food was good, although repetitive. The rooms were comfortable, however being on the main floor you could here late night noise. Great access to pools. Beautiful beaches and plenty to do with children. A great family experience
Sandals Dunn's River: Great Resort!
The staff were amazing. Service was second to none and food was delicious. Grounds were clean and the pools were lovely. Ocean was do warm. We would definitely recommend this resort. Weather was perfect.
Royalton Blue Waters: Less than expected
The beach was beautiful and clean. The rooms were slightly run down as was the entire resort with regards to the buildings. The power went out numerous times throughout the week. On a daily basis there was a shortage of jerk chicken, some liquors and ice. The staff for the most part were accommodating and friendly. We had to ask every day for the bar fridge to be restocked, the shower handle fell off with every use. It was difficult to get reservations for dinner and the food was often cold. The [... read more]

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Pretty nice resort..!!!
Generally all area’s are good layout and conveniently situated, Staff were all very helpful, We had big downpour, It was handled professionally and fast, We went on two excursions 1- Dunn’s river Falls —worth the price And 2- Blue mountain with Bike ride, originally we thought the price was high - It was Amazing for the price
Riu Ocho Rios: Wonderful staff
Beautiful resort. The rooms are kept very clean, the housekeeping was extremely thorough and found the perfect balance between keeping my things organized and maintaining boundaries with my personal belongings. The staff was extremely welcoming and the entertainment at night was very good. The pool and beach areas were also kept very clean. There’s a separate pool in a secluded area of the resort for kids so while kids are allowed in the other pools it’s not overwhelming. The staff was reall [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Luxury Bahia Principe Runaway Bay
Hotel, A La Carte restaurants and the Buffet restaurants were good. Room was OK but far from lobby. It was tough getting a reservation at the restaurants located at the Grand Bahia Principe hotel at Runaway Bay. Restaurants were easy getting reservation at restaurants located at Adults portion of the hotel. Pool was excellent and the beach was OK. I would go again.
Riu Montego Bay: Good value
Grounds well kept, good choice at the buffet restaurant but frustrating trying to get dinner at Japanese and or Italian. The fact that the later are closed 2 days during the week leaves very little time to enjoy. Rooms are clean and spacious. Lots of lounge chairs. Montego bay is not recommended if you are going for the beaches. They are man made and dirty brownish color. Remember the airport is 15 minutes away...... so the noise can be annoying sometimes.
Sandals Dunn's River: Great resort. Great food
Everything was very clean and well kept. Staff were excellent. Food was great and it was very relaxing. Very quiet resort which and relaxing pace. All staff spoke great English and were very helpful. No pushy people trying to sell you stuff either.
Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Typically very good Riu resort.
Everything was excellent, as is to be expected at Riu. The resort is clean and well laid-out. The staff was friendly, caring, polite and hard working. The room was very good and well located. The staff accommodated my wife's wheelchair at all locations. The food was very, very, good.
Secrets St James: Excellent Resort With A few Shortcomings
We enjoyed a stay of 13 days at Secrets St. James. Our first week was in a Preferred Club Room while the second was in a Garden View although it too had a view if the sea. Obviously the Prefered room had a few extras and seemed to be a little better maintained. The grounds of the resort were beautiful and well maintained and the food was excellent. We felt, however, that the beach was rather narrow and you couldn't really swim in the sea because the water was never more than about four fee [... read more]
JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Amazing resort
Our vacation at lberostar Grand Rose Hall was for the second time wonderful! Starting with the employees : they all were struggling to please us. We were greeted every morning with smiles and questions about how we feel. They all work very hard. Hotel is very nice and rooms are kept clean permanently. I want to give special thanks to our maids who did such a wonderful birthday room decoration. Our butler Andree was top notch, permanently struggling to please us. Being repeat guests, we were invi [... read more]
Secrets St James: Outstanding resort, staff and overall experience!
Everything and everyone we experienced at the hotel was excellent. Very clean environment and exceptionally & helpful friendly staff. Comfy pool/beach loungers...NO PLASTIC...that's how you can tell your at a 5 Star resort. Room service was great! The premium booze was always plentiful and the beer cold. No soliciting on the resort was a big plus too! Big bonus that the resort is less than 15 minutes from the airport...it really makes a difference after being on a plane for 4 Plus hours. On a se [... read more]
Couples Swept Away: Couples Swept Away - disappointing
The Couples chain of resorts is amazing. Couples Swept Away is the most expensive and on the 7 Mile beach in Negril. However, the resort and facilities were amazing, along with the staff, the beach peddlers were assaulting. Constant peddling, never stops, security lets them bother guests, it's not relaxing. The first couple of days you laugh, then you just want to run away from Swept Away. For this reason, we will chose one of the other 4 resorts, Couples Sans Souci is our favorite.
