Restaurants are perfect. Diversity of foods and fruits and drink. Environment in this hotel is excellent. Employees there are very nice and polite. The shows at night is very attractive. We will go there again next year definitely.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Great resort for family
This is our first time to Cancun and we were not sure how the reception is going to be but the minute we landed, it’s all smiles. People are amazing there and they sure know how to treat people. They have amazing staffs and pretty much all the rooms has beach view. It’s well worth the money.

Grand Oasis Sens: Worth 2.5 star
First off, we arrived at the resort at 10:30am and was told to wait until 3pm to check-in. When we returned at 3pm, we were told to wait another hour because our room was not ready. Once checked-in, the room had a musky smell. Floor was not swept. Bathtub still had hair from previous guest. Room was humid and AC was not working properly. When the temp was turned down to 15 degrees Celsius, the room still read 24 degrees Celsius. The maid only makes your bed and does not replenish water, toilet p[... read more]aper unless you ask for them. At some point, it took them 4 days to replenish our water bottles although they specified that it was only done every 2 days. The customer service at the reception area was inexistent. This hotel is not even close to 3 star.

Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa: Soso resort but very clean
We were there last week and we were a little disapointed. Not a Tropical feeling. Contry music and dance music all week.
The resort is very small. After 2 days you get bored. The beach is WAYYYY to wavy and to walk along the beach is a Zero cause its very oblique. So hard on the knees and feet. Could’nt enjoy swimming the Blue ocean. Red flag all week 😢.
Its is a Clean resort and very nice staff. Oscar at the buffet always had the way to smile and joke with us.
Rooms were very clea[... read more]n but old.
Food was ok but not alot of option in buffet.
Restaurents were good.
Weather was amazing all week. Had still alot of fun with my partner.

Occidental Tucancun: Great hotel
The staff were amazing and so helpful! We were a group of 8 people and everyone was so accommodating when it came to meals. The beach is beautiful and exactly what you think of when you picture the Caribbean ocean. The water was a bit rough, but still lovely. The rooms could definitely use an upgrade, but very clean and we were never discouraged when coming back to a clean and tidy room. The biggest complaint I have is that the pools turned all our white bathing suits green. I’m not sure if it[... read more]’s a chemical imbalance or algae, but it was less than desirable to swim in when wearing light coloured bathing suits. The hotel, however, did clean them and they are white again. Overall we had a great time!

Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun: Best mix of everything good!
My husband and I loved the great service we had with staff & managers, waiters & everyone. You could not have a less stressful vacation. I'm gluten-free and the chefs and waitstaff & managers of the restaurants all worked to give me great meals with many choices. I could always put together a solid meal from tbe buffet restaurant but the others were even better. Foodies won't be disappinted here. The desk staff were very good at customer service. The room was amazing - we got an ocean front suit[... read more]e with jaccuzi and it was amazing. Very clean & simple modern decore. We had a lot of fun in the game room playing ping pong, air hockey & pool until 10:30 one night. The singers in the lobby bar were really good. Drinks were the same weak drinks as other all-inclusives. The gift shop had great swimsuits & there's a really _good_ selection of fresh tasting ice creams and sorbets by the gift shop. The fitness dance class by the pool area was fun. The staff are the best thing about this place. I asked for a yoga mat for my room and the activities guy brought me one. The gym is small but better than most dinky hotel workout rooms. The spa massage I got was ok but I tend to get them for therapy not relaxation so I need more detail work fone than you get at the spas in Cancun but this was the best I've had of 5-6 in Cancun. There's was no hot steam in the steam room but a eucalyptus aroma vapor. The dry sauna was hot. The outdoor hot tub by the pool was not hot but honestly it was the only thing I saw off on this trip, and people were busy having fun everywhere so it wasnt missed except we do really enjoy the socialization of an outdoor hot tub. The fireshow was great! We hope to come back, and I really urge you to consider this place. It has just enough party fun without chaos or stupidity going on and enough class and good taste for those liking adult reserved fun. Good time for little kids but the place isnt full of screaming kids either. Perfect blend of all kinda of people, family friendly but great for a honeymoon.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Not the best
We had a horrible first day. We got there early in the day and check in wasn’t until 3pm. We made the best of it, had our bags held, walked the grounds but all we really wanted was a room to relax and change after a long day of travel. It was so unorganized. The lines were ridiculous and after the 4th time of them trying to book us in, we got a room we didn’t want. I had specified a king bed.. got 2 doubles. There was also a joining door held shut by 2 screws and The phone didn’t work[... read more]. We complained and 7 hours after arriving, we had a room with a king size bed. The ceiling in the tub moved when you touched it, had a piece missing in the corner. The bed was comfortable though. And the phone worked. The fridge was only filled every 2nd day and it only had 4 bottles of water, 4 soda in it. One day only it had 2 beer. I had to buy alot more water at the store. The food was good, but most of the time you had to stand in lines lasting hours. We had a blue bracelet (which most people did) the purple were the “lite grand†they had even less options then us. If you didn’t have a black bracket which was part of the pyramid it was like you were shunned! Employees turned you away at certain bars while the others were a 25 minute wait. If you don’t upgrade you are a nobody at this resort. Very disappointing.

Smart Cancun By Oasis: Clean, Modern Hotel Conveniently Located
Our room was large and modern and cleaned very well every day. The air conditioner worked perfectly. All of the staff greeted us daily with a smile and a "buenas dias". The hotel is fairly modern with a nice pool/terrace area. The pool area was almost like a micro climate...always a nice breeze. The food at the hotel was surprisingly cheap and good. What I loved about the hotel was the location...close to the major local bus routes to go to the hotel zone (beaches) etc., close to the main bus st[... read more]ation (for out of town trips) and a large super market where we bought our daily supplies. We walked to most places in Cancun: Parque de las Palapas (for some cheap Mexican meals), Mercado 28 the largest tourist souvenir market, Kabah Park etc. It was all within a 20-25 min. walk (or less). Although all of the staff were friendly, I do want to mention Anselmo (so sweet and always smiling) and one of the women at front desk....wish I could remember her name. She spoke very good English and was very helpful and friendly. We were a bit disappointed that the gym was closed during our stay but it wasn't a deal breaker. There was a huge rainstorm the Tuesday prior to our visit and they were still dealing with the aftermath. I did get trapped in one of the bathroom cubicles in the pool area...but I laughed it off. It makes for a good story as I tried to slither my body under the door to escape. I wasn't in there too long and one of the staff "set me free"!
Not sure how often they have entertainment by the pool, but on Thursday and Friday there were two very good entertainers who played from 5-7. One was an Argentinian duo the other I think from Jamaica. Both were excellent.
There is a little bit of room for improvement: only one bath towel is provided...have to ask for more. Every day, it seems something is missing from the daily room maintenance...coffee, water etc. Have to ask and wait around for it to be delivered. Should really get those locks sorted out at the pool washrooms so people don't get locked in.
All in all - a very satisfactory hotel in a great, central location. Would definitely stay there again.

Riu Dunamar: Nice but no 5 star
Just returned from The Riu Dunamar. Very nice resort but definitely not a 5 star resort.
The staff was excellent as were the well kept grounds. The beach is a solid 8 of 10 if you dont mind the sewage smell and endless seaweed, but that's not a fault of the resort. The food was very good but predictable. The 3 restaurants were at best average. The entertainment was just that...entertaining but nothing that would wow you. Now for the not so good. There is no coffee maker or clocks in the very av[... read more]erage rooms. I would say a holiday inn express are a step above. There was no bath tub and the shower had a glass panel that faced into the room with no curtain. I do believe this is on purpose, so they are not used resulting in a large water saving. The Dunamar is quite out of the way so expect at least a 3+ hour ride to any excursion. There was to be 24 hour food at the sports bar but when we had to leave at 6am for an excursion there was nothing there but some hotdogs. The fridges were absolutely empty, with nothing else open. The water park is quite nice and is shared with the sister resort next door but be aware its closed on mondays. All in all a good place for families if the price is right

TRS Coral: Loved it!
From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the whole team was ready to impress. The room was impressive and the attention to detail was staggering. The restaurants were full of great food. Pro tip: order the Piacere coffee cocktail at the coffee house. Couldn’t get enough of it! The guests were super friendly, too. I’d go back tomorrow if I could.

Riu Dunamar: Beautiful resort all round
This is a large hotel resort and quite different from other Mexican resorts we have been to. Basically, everything is in one huge 4 story building. The design of the rooms and hallways is stark white which is very minimalist. Adding some colorways would give the public areas some style. Rooms were large and well furnished. In room liquor dispenser was nice. Our room was on the 4th floor, over the disco on the ground floor and some nights the thumping of the base kept us awake. The buffet resta[... read more]urant was great as was the Asian restaurant. The Italian restaurant and the Kulinarium were not great .
The pools are beautiful, all 5 of them. I would have liked to see one pool designated adults only, as all the pools had kids playing. Plenty of loungers on the beach and around pools. Definitely a good family resort.
Rooms were prob the only good thing about this resort.
Food was sub par, bar wasn’t stocked daily unless called and requested. We got cut off our bracelets in morning of last day and was told our cut off was 1pm for food and drink.
No one spoke proper English
Very loud shows in main pool area every night and a party boat runs nightly next door until 2am.
Helicopter, cruise ships and seadoos cruising by beach all day with black exhaust and diesel in water. Beach is clean in morning with ti[... read more]de in and dirty yellow weed water in afternoon. All bars close at 11 during week and midnight on weekend unless your staff them they party all night.
Room service is an extra fee $10 per soggy plate of fries and soggy sandwiches.
Restaurants you have to book daily in morning with limited spots even though they’re empty when you go inside. Spend the extra money and go to a better 4 or 5 star. This I’d rate a 3-3.5.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Great resort for kids.except pools extremely cold.
The resort is great for kids as it has various pools, a play room (most staff are great!) and a water park for both kids and adults! There were a lot of families there but it didn't feel too packed as it is fairly big.
Buffet was good, a la carte restaurants were good except the French was closed for renovations. Fishermans was the best, then Mexican, Steakhouse, and Italian our least fav.
There are lots of stairs there so it's not great for older, less mobile people and isn't totally strol[... read more]ler friendly although you can manage.
Beach was nice and clean, ocean was a bit rough but great. I didn't see any water activities.
My least favourite part was that the pools were VERY COLD. Too cold for babies, which was a huge disappointment as they can't go into the ocean. It could have been the rain the first 2 days they should heat at least one pool for times like this. They were fairly empty because of the frigid temperature.
There are small tiny ants in the room so don't leave ANY food out. You have to look really close as they blend into the counter tops.
If it weren't for the temperature of the pools I would recommend this for families of young children.

Occidental Costa Cancun: Awesome Vacation
After researching and reading reviews for weeks about where to stay in Cancun Beth from Tripcentral recommended the Occidental Costa. So glad she did because my 15 year old and I had an Amazing time!!
It is about half hour drive from the airport. We arrived mid morning and it was raining ( umbrellas were provided to walk around resort) Check in is at 3 but we were able to check in early. The safe wasnt working but within the 10 min we called the desk..someone was up to fix it.
[... read more]
The room was nice and beds were comfortable. Only complaint about room was we were facing the hotel beside us which did get noisy at night..so my note to self is pack ear plugs on next trip.
Buffet: plenty of variety to choose from and it was really good food
A la carts: you do need to book early if you hope to eat at a decent time. Mexican and Italian...the food was great
There are enough loungers at the pool and beach. We did find the pool water on the cool side. It wasnt too busy during the week but once Friday hit, it started to get busier and a bit noisier. So we did enjoy the quiet during the week
There is a boat that goes to island across the way (Isla Majures). You can rent a golf cart to. Great day trip!
I dont have anything negative to say about the staff. In each area they were all friendly, and attentive. Our favorite staff was everyone at the beach bar!
Location is great,Private beach with boats coming in so things to see.
Will definitely go back to the Occidental Costa

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa - Amazing Family All-Inclusive!!
Probably the best family all inclusive I've ever been to:
Pros:
Food - buffet was very good - only ate there for lunch. Like all buffets you need to pick and choose. Not everything you will like. Walk to the back left and pick your meat and they'll cook it right in front of you (beef, chicken, shrimp, squid, salmon, tuna, scallops…)
Wine – unlike a lot of all-incisive they serve only bottled wine. Botht the red and white are decent.
Coffee! Best coffee. Dolce also had great cappuccino[... read more]s.
Pools – basically 2 pool area. A quite one and a party pool. Both very nice.
Water Park – little park for little kids. Big slides for big kids.
No towel cards – just grab from the bin as needed – also every chair in the morning has one rolled up and waiting
No bracelets – so no scratching yourself by accident in the shower…
Wifi – good enough to watch Netflix (it rained one day) and make video calls
Room – BIG and clean
Beach – sand was very nice and soft. Never got really hot
Family washrooms – they were smart on this. I think ALL the washrooms in the public area had a men’s, women’s and family washroom.
Though not advertised well they had a great hospitality room should you have a late departure. Lockers, showers and change areas.
Staff- all amazing. They seem to get along and like their jobs. Staff at kids club were wonderful with our daughter. Entertainment team (Memo!) were great.
Dolphins – you an watch them swim from the shore. You can swim with them too but no ‘show’.
Cons
Beach, like a lot of Mexico wasn’t the best for swimming. Nice for long walks (it’s huge and goes on forever) buy a bit murky and rough.
I’ve also been to Riu’s in Cancun, Cabo, and Canary, Bahia’s, Barcelo’s and many others. Dream was the best (also the newest)
