Excellence Riviera Cancun: Excellence Riviera Cancun is a Beautiful Resort

This hotel offers the best service we have ever experienced and we travel allot. We stayed in a swim up beachfront room in the Excellence Club and it was wonderful. The food in every restaurant is very good including the buffet for breakfast and lunch. There is a huge variety to choose from and no reservations are necessary. We did not have any problems getting into any restaurant during our 7 night stay. We especially liked the Indian restaurant "Basmati" The food was amazing. The French restau [... read more]rant is very good we went twice order the French Onion Soup for a real treat. The staff in the Excellence club were so accommodating and friendly they made our vacation. We will be going back to this resort and may try the new one in Punta Cana later this year. Villa del Palmar Beach Resort: Lovely small resort

Beautiful small Mexican style resort. Rooms very clean and fresh. Lobby beautifully decorated for Christmas. Slow check in process, but all staff very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We spent most of our stay on the beach. Beach waiters delivered our choices of beverage without our asking each time we arrived and frequently passed by with a fresh drink and menu for lunch and/or snacks. Also, the evening entertainment left a little to be desired. I would rate the experience a 8 out of 10. This was a family vacation for 2 grandmothers, married children and 22 and 23 year old grandsons. Enjoyable time for all of us with many good memories.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Great Resort

This was a great resort! - The layout is very well done. Everything is close by, but it doesn't feel like one big building - Great restaurant variety. Several are served by the same kitchen, however we only ate at the same restaurant for dinner twice over 10 days - Good quality food - Efficient room service - Huge variety of alcohol, ie many different kinds of tequila, and helpful bartenders - The layout of the pools is well done, it never felt crowded - Good variety of lounge chairs, cov [... read more]ered beds, etc. around the resort and on the beach - Large, comfortable, and well air-conditioned rooms, quiet at night.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Amazing place for people with small kids

Great servie massive place many water parks, you will never get bored the entertainment was also ok i like the towel service and how nice and quiet everything was the gym was awesome Will definitely want to go back got 5 nights of

Riu Yucatan: Best vacation

We spent Christmas at Riu Yucatan, it was amazing! Great food, clean and new room, what we liked the most it was the customer service. We also really liked the location, it's very close to everything you need. Best Christmas ever!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Had a great time!

The hotel is a little dated, BUT it is a great place to stay. Overall the food was good and the specialty restaurants did not disappoint. (Steakhouse was our favorite). I would recommend avoiding building 2 as it is right by the nightly shows and nightclub. It is VERY NOISEY. We were booked into this block and within the 1st hour I reqested to be moved. Riu Flamingos: Pleasantly surprised

We spent two weeks at this resort and absolutely loved everything about it. It is extremely clean everywhere, the food is yummy, the beach is beautiful and the staff are amazing. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. It is very busy but very well organized to handle the crowds. I would not hesitate to return even though the Sunwing flight times are brutal. Give it a try.....you will love it and we feel it is the best deal out there.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Great vacation at the Grand Sirenus

The Grand Sirenus is a lovely resort. The staff members are hardworking, the food is fine (not amazing but good enough), and the pool is fun. Sometimes the music and the antics of the DJs were a little much, but overall they added a lot of entertainment. The jewel on the crown of this resort is the beach front. It was beautiful and didn't even feel very crowded. The rooms are large and well maintained, except that they are very musty smelling. The whole thing was a breeze, from booking online with trip central to getting to and from the resort.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Great resort!!

The hotel was beautiful, clean and the staff was amazing! There were many pools, including some reserved for adults only in the "GRAND" section. Loved it!! The beach was amazing!! There were a little bit of rocks but other than that, it was great!! Be careful with people at the airport or in the hotel lobby offering "a free gift". The goal is to bring you to another hotel to attend a 2 hour presentation. Then you will be asked to buy a membership...Every day, there was someone trying to sell [... read more] us the free gift, which was pretty annoying. We bought some excursions with Air Canada and they were very pricy for what we got. The catamaran excursion was not so great and very expensive – very disappointing. For all your purchases, you can request to be charged in pesos instead of $US. When you buy an excursion, Air Canada will offer a “free trip” to Playa Del Carmen. Again, there was a catch – we had to spend 45 minutes into a jewelry store and of course, there was a lot of pressure to buy something. We complained and we were able to go to Playa Del Carmen after an hour of waiting at the jewel store. And finally, the hotel is a little far from everything…if you want to stay at the hotel or go to Tulum, it will be great! But if you want to go to Playa Del Carmen or Cancun for example, be ready to spend a lot of time on the road!!

Grand Oasis Cancun: Worst hotel experience

Food was blend and not good at all, it says 28 restaurant but they consider three side to side kiosk by pool three restaurant. We were party of 25 and each of us had issue with our check in and our rooms.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Family Vacation (Kids older than 12)

We were very tired when we arrived to the hotel but the staff immediately brought us desserts for the kids and drinks for the adults. We felt very welcomed and relaxed. This resort is very good for families with kids over the age of 12. Our cousins came to the Coba resort (because they had younger kids and there was a water park.) This was the first vacation that really brought the family together and we forgot about all the stress. We never had the time to enjoy a holiday to spend with the kid [... read more]s due to work and time but this vacation was really worth the wait! The food was amazing especially on Christmas Eve (lobster, lobster tails and lot's of seafood.) We also a great time on Christmas because they showed the true meaning of the Christian holiday and had lot's of decorations revealing the birth of Jesus Christ. Thank you for the amazing service, food, cleanliness and etc. Our kids and us (parents) will be coming back to visit, maybe next Christmas!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Enjoyable

This is our third stay at an Iberostar resort and we are happy to say that we were not disappointed. We had a minor hiccup with our room cleaning, the Staff was quick to correct the problem and our chambermaid was very apologetic. Overall, the service Staff was excellent...we would like to thank our concierge, Tatiana, for all of her assistance. She is very pleasant and helpful. We were at the Lindo, which can be considered the 'quiet' resort in the evening, but we were able to freely visit t [... read more]he other resorts. During the day, the Lindo pool had plenty of activities. The beach was excellent as well.

Vamar Vallarta: Mixed feelings

This resort has excellent staff who work very hard to make your vacation pleasant. Special thanks to Fernanda! The grounds are lovely with great ocean views and location great for the marina area. The beach was mediocre but we often took the bus out to different buses. Pools were great and we generally really enjoyed our stay. The food was so-so, but we could always find something to eat. However, we were very disappointed by management's treatment with us. When we called them to tell them that  [... read more]our first room had a broken toilet, they attempted to charge us an extra $180 US saying it was our fault! The toilet didn't flush properly (like at all!) and we had to change rooms because of this. It was impossible to speak to management in person -- we just kept getting letters under our door telling us to pay up. Finally, the lovely front desk staff were able to resolve the situation, but it was an extremely unpleasant way to begin our vacation.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Terrible Experience

Cockroaches in the washroom, raccoons running over dinning areas after closing, boring entertament starting very late followed by an hour long "disco". Never coming back there. Cheap alkohol selection. Crown Royal only for VIP guests LOL terrible :(

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Excellent Resort

The service, security, food and overall place is just amazing. May be need to add more vegetarian choices in the food. A Le Carte Indian restaurant would be nice. I liked the pool, transportation to and from airport. Clean beaches and towel service

El Dorado Casitas Royale: Perfect holiday - definitely going back!

We were blown away by El Dorado Casitas Royale. We have never been to the same resort twice, and on the second day we were both saying we had to come back. The food is was the best food we've ever had at a resort (and better than most restaurants back home!), and they were able to cater to my multiple food allergies. The room was perfect and spacious and the outdoor shower was great! We had a swim up casita, but spent all of our time at the joint pool or the beach. No matter where we wer [... read more]e lounging, the staff always asked how our room was and to let them know if there were any complaints (which we didn't have!). We have never had this type of service or concern for our room from the bartender or beach butler! We are already planning our return to El Dorado Casitas Royale and have been raving about it to everyone since our return a few days ago.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great resort!

Myself and my family with young child stayed at the resort from Dec.19 to Dec.26th. Ohhhh my God not sure from where to start. Grounds are beatiful and kept very clean at all times. Rooms are big with very comfy bed, fridge restocked every day with variety of soft drinks like coke, sprite, fanta, water and beer. Buffet is amazing with a great variety of food, such as mexican buffet, chineese buffet, desserts, fruits, ice cream, salads. Several a la carte restaurants like Brazilian, Japaneese,  [... read more]Sea food, International, Medeteranian, Tequila restaurant and several others spread between the Tulum and Coba resourts. We were allowed to use the restaurants and the buffets at both resourts the Tulum and the Coba. At the Coba there is daulphins show every day at 11:30 am which everyone can attend and it was free as well. The Coba portion of the resorts had a water park for the children. Staff at the resourt was working around the clock to make sure there is no shortage of food, that everything is clean. Only not very good thing was the evening shows scheduled for 9:00 pm. They were either none or very poor organized or rescheduled at the last moment. Overall great resort!

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: MORE THAN EXPECTED!!!

We can't say enough things about how wonderful this resort was. The pictures can never do it justice. From the beautiful rooms, lavish grounds, pristine beach and gorgeous entryways impressive all around. The food was amazing and kept incredibly clean, there were gluten free options and many restaurants to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful and the resort had so many activities to participate in. We will be back! Thank you Valentin for an unforgettable experience.

Tropicana Hotel: Great place for vacations in great Puereto Vallarta

The hotel is a very good looking, clean building with a distinct style. It is located in the old town across from the sandy beach and easy access to Malecon. The standard of our room was above average with excellent daily service. The restaurant offered reasonably priced good quality meals. I should add a word about very friendly and professional staff.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Fantastic resort

The grounds at this resort are amazing and very well maintained. Stayed in a golden suite which was beautiful and very clean Food and drinks were exceptional. Pool areas are fantastic, lazy river was very relaxing. If you want to whop it up then the main pool is the place to be. Special thanks to all the staff at this resort for making our stay very enjoyable. So happy to see so many people smile every day and a big hello.
