Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Fun resort!

It is big, but there is something to do for young and old! You definitely will not be bored because there is always something going on. Food was good and lots of variety. Service was good and always there if you need help. Rooms are clean, cozy and it was nice to have 24hr room service. Loved how we were close to the beach, villa 5! We had 4 a la carte dinners but 2 were already chosen for us, I would of liked to choose all 4. Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Way better than expected!

I'll start with the very minor negatives. The beds were hard, that being said, they were very accommodating in giving us a pillow top for the mattress. The food is more then adequate and plentiful but for those that don't travel, they may be expecting better. Any person that does travel will know not to expect food beyond imagination. All the staff were unbelievably polite and more then willing to do anything for you. The "butler" Francisco and Nester the pool side runner were amazing. Our room was beautiful and spacious. The lobby was relaxing and tranquil. The entire resort was by far the best maintained then anywhere I've been, specifically the landscaping. In short my husband and I would not hesitate to return as often as we could, in fact, we are already planning our return.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Phenomenal Resort

great grounds, amazing food. Will come again. The water is blie, the drinks are cold, the weather is warm. This resort was a great vacation and destination wedding locations! Highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: One bedroom master suite was awesome!!

We had 2 one bedroom master suites and both were awesome, with two bathroom, two balconies, two a/c, king beds and living rooms. We had no problems with either. Food was good and altho repetitive, we always found enough to eat. A la carte restaurants were pretty good, but I have had better at other resorts. Liked having vendors at the very end of the beach just off resort and not bugging you constantly!! Beach is over a km long with lots of chairs and palapas as well as shade trees all along it. [... read more] The resort runs the entire length of beach and can be quite a walk if you're at either end of resort. We were about 10 minute walk from main areas but there are also pools on each end and we were next to the snack bar,but didn't really mind the walk as it gave us some exercise. We were a 30 second walk to beach where we spent most of our time. Beach was darker sand, but powder soft and never needed any beach shoes when swimming. The long beach meant no crowding and beautiful to walk on. Locals were allowed in resort Good Friday to Easter Sunday causing pools and Buffet to be VERY crowded,but still lots of room at beach. Great bar service even if not always tipping! They did miss our rooms 3 nights with turn down service, but not a big deal for us. Mini bar stocked every day often with extra and our room was ready when we arrived at 12:30pm. Bit of a drive from airport,but a very nice resort at a decent price with nice little extras in our rooms!! Had a great vacation and would return and recommend!! :)

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: be live canoa

Very good hotel location ideal, beautiful beech, beautiful pool. Excellent service, people there always got a smile on their face.Food is excellent and theres alot of variety from other countries.Alot of activities.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice but way to crowed

Very large resort hard to get seats at pool, beach or shows even lobby was packed at all times. On several occasions seated at buffet only to return and someone else seated at your table. Very child friendly avoid if not your thing. Rooms are definately showing thier age. Was not cheap vacation and have stayed at much nicer resorts. I was dissapointed and would not stay at a Grand Bahia again. Grounds were nice. There was no extra touches. Room safe was not included, in room fridge was not resto [... read more]cked daily. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Immaculate Resort - Great People

The grounds were immaculate. The rooms were extremely well kept. It is a very large resort but very well organized. They made a special effort for our anniversary. The restaurant at the beach was absolutely amazing.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Something for Everyone

Lots of activities and a variety of beach/pool areas to enjoy. The resort is very well planned. There are about 10 restaurants to choose from and the food and service are good. There is a very active pool area and 2 adult pools which are beautiful. Overall it is has something to offer everyone. The only thing missing are more dining/bar areas with an ocean view.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Lots of Food and refreshments

I only go to Dominican for the weather, and spend little time in the room, but the room I had at this resort was great, it was designed to be a permanent condo, and there was price list in the room if you decide to purchase, which I thought was cool, the property is fairly big and we would do several laps around the place after dinner to burn off fuel, it has nice walkways and lighting. Negatives are that the allow local vendors on the beach....everyone has to make a living,....but they have the [... read more] same stuff I can purchase here...I did purchase a flask made out of a actual bull horn, and if your there take the Rum factory tour its nice and you get Rum slushies at 9am..........if I drank them at home at 9am Id be scheduled for rehab.......overall great trip, I don't visit the same resort more than once though, as it takes away from being new and exploring the unknown......

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Satisfied

Great staff, food...just found it too big-larger than I am used to. A lot of the drivers could not communicate as they spoke very little English. it was very easy to get lost by going down the beach too far and getting on the wrong train line.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: wonderful resort

This was my 3rd stay at a Grand Bahia Principe resort. This resort was beautiful. The food was absolutely amazing. Many drinks to choose from but each bar tender had their own way of making drinks, so if you find a drink you like....remember who made it. The staff was great but felt a bit uncomfortable when the washroom maid wouldn't leave the room. All in all it was wonderful and would recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Puerto Plata.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Awesome resort for families!

We just stayed there with our two children(3&6yrs old). We arrived at 10 am we were in our room by lunch time instead of after 3pm which was great! Our room: We were in building 8 and our balcony was looking over the pool! which was convient when our smallest napped and I could still watch my husband and older daughter playing in the pool. Our safe was free which was great! We also had free wifi in our room! We had two double beds which were comfortable and 4 pillows on each bed. The maids were great since we were in and out often but they manage to get the room cleaned everyday! The grounds: we're beautiful lots of tree, shrubs, flowers! there was always someone pruning the trees, shrubs cleaning the walkways etc.... The staff: we're always smiling, saying hola to the children and calling them beautiful princesses! Front reception was great and quickly resolved Our card that stopped working! We also messed up the safe number and in twenty minutes someone was in our room and fixed it with no charge! The food was great, I didn't try everything but there was definitely favorites that I ate everyday ( omlet, pasta station,the meats station, Nacho, sauce,guacamole and salsa) and so much more, they had different themes every night in the buffet. The a la carte didn't do reservations which was a long wait time unless you were there at 6 pm! They did have entertainment ,cotton candy, nachos for everyone while they waited! The beach was on the royalton property which you needed to get a trolley ride which went by often! It was also only a 4 min walk from our building! The kids loved getting on for the ride! The beach was beautiful! The only thing I found they had staff trying to get you to join this travel program so they would offer you a free day pass to the royalton or a la carte it depends but you had to spend 2 hrs listening to there offer! I wouldn't do it, we got a day pass but could only use the pool not the bars( wouldn't serve my husband) he had to go to the memories bar on the beach! They also said we had a two free massages, which I booked the appointment but didn't have the papers and they almost charged it to our room! So we had to find the guy who gave it to us, and then get the certificate! Lots of wasted time, when we we had fun the last three days at the beach(memories side)! There was lots of bottled water!

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Good resort for a quiet get away!

The El Portilla was a nice quiet resort with a beautiful beach, good food and very good service. The resort itself was well maintained and clean and the junior superior suite we stayed in was spacious and clean. The resort was small enough to walk around without difficulty but large enough so you could find quieter areas to sit and relax. The beach was beautiful with a reef just 10 feet out to snorkel around. The reef provided a nide sheltered area for swimming so there was never any problem goi [... read more]ng into the water. I would recommend this resort to those who want to have a quieter vacation scene.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great time at Barcelo!

Wonderful resort! Very clean and well taken care of resort. The pool and beach areas were very nice. Excellent food with a large variety of dishes. We cant wait to return!!. We did upgrade slightly to the premium and the room was spectacular with two huge rooms and two balconies!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Everything we were expecting and more

The resort lived up to our high expectations with excellent food, entertainment staff, service staff, and amazing beach and pools. The pools were never over crowded, the beach and access to miles of ocean front were amazing.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: great hotel

The resort was very nice.Beach was beautiful .Food was very good and large variety.Rooms needed some updating but for the short time you are in your room they were fine.The workers were so very friendly always stopping to speak or asking you if everything was ok.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Good for what you pay.

The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are clean and basic but no fridge in the room. We asked for a fridge and one appeared in our room 2 days later. The buffet was also basic, nothing fancy but you will not go hungry. There is also a restaurant close to the pools with hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, fries, etc. If you can't find something you like to eat there is something wrong. P.S. The chicken is always good.

Grand Palladium Palace: Great resort !

Very clean, staff were very pleasant and friendly . Always someone available for help or to provide a ride anywhere. Great room service and maid service. The food was awesome , there was wi-fi available on the resort free of charge .

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: very pretty resort

overall opinion , I would go back in a minute.. the service we received was awesome..our room was spotless..fridge had a little trouble freezing the water and pop, but at least it wasn't warm.and always stocked ,,. the grounds were extremely well kept.. the buffet restaurant was amazing, clean and fresh..the servers were excellent, thankyou Mario..great fellow.. the A La Carte restaurants were good, but prefer less buffet.
