Couples Negril: Great vacation

The good: Beautiful beach, chairs are always available and resort never feels over populated. Pool lounges were never hard to find no matter what time it was. We really enjoyed the fact that no matter where you got your drinks, they do them the old way by hand, not like some resorts that use only slush machines now and just throw in booze, which end up tasting all chemical. Food quality was pretty steady across every restaurant. I wouldn’t call it 5 star dining but the food is pretty good and quality is there for sure. Similar menu items and flavours from one restaurant to another but quality is consistent across any restaurant you eat in. Buffet was pretty good and staff could be seen often with thermometer checking food temps, which assure the proper warm food throughout unlike some resorts we have been at. We loved that the scuba diving was free and included as much as you could wish.(2 dives a day if there is room). Sunset catamaran was a lot of fun and also free. Glass bottom boat also was free and neat. I seen some people waterskiing that was also included. A couple beach nights were a lot of fun. Dinner was setup on the beach and they did a great job at it. The Bad: Resort in definitely not 5 stars. It’s age is showing for sure but it is kept clean and immaculate. The roofs need replacing, the paint shows mildew everywhere. The property is small and very warm feel which is a pro. Kinda feels like living in jungle which can be good but night time is really dark everywhere except the main area around the pool and lobby. Some female staff seem to have some serious attitude issues. One dinner we would have awesome service and the next dinner, the staff seem as if they didn’t want to be there and treated you that way. But for the most part it was good. To sum it up, I don’t t know what it is about this resort but although we’ve been to nicer resorts with much better entertainment, more food choice, better food etc, we loved this trip. It’s just the feel of the resort and and it’s cosiness maybe. There are no kids or singles trying to hit on you every corner as it is for couples only so the vibe is different. Everyone talks to everyone and all seem content and happy and RELAXED. To if you are thinking about this resort, try it for sure as it will be a different experience that you won’t regret. Just try it.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Great Vacation

We had a great vacation at the Grand Palladium! The hotel is big enough but not too big to navigate. The people, the pool and the food were awesome! We enjoyed our kid free vacation and have already decided to return with our kids someday!

Half Moon a Rock Resort: Wonderful Resort

This hotel is located on a beautiful white sand beach:essentially an older section and a newer one. The newer side has some very large villas for groups or families. The older side is quaint but still lovely. The housekeeping was very good & the bar fridge replenished each day. There were mostly families in attendance while we were there - definitely a quiet relaxing place. There are pools but most people used the beach and the bay for swimming. The dinner menus at the Seagrape restaurant & Il Giardino were also very good. The staff is very well trained and offer hospitality& smiles all throughout the resort. We did not use the golf course or go horseback riding so cannot comment on those, but I suspect they’re excellent like everything else at the resort. We will definitely return.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Always awesome place to stay

Always awesome place to stay, this was our second time there, we also brought the kids on the trip , kid friendly with a kids water park with slides etc,great food very clean and awesome service!most likely be the place we go next time again..

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Wonderful location for my activities

Needs up date. Beautiful location, grounds and general area just great. Landscaping well-kept but dated. The front deck staff are the most welcoming on this property. Housekeeping very pleasant. The beach was a bit rough the days I spent making the water some-what cloudy. The entertainment team are priceless they are very creative. Three star hotel with a five star entertainment team. It wou [... read more]ld be wise to have a house representative on duty at all times, there were so many issues in the dining room and no one to who you could speak. The cook bring replacement food and have not noting that there are no plates. I spent 7 days and every days at this resort, the same issue each day, for all three meals served plates missing in salad and dessert stations and no one seemed to be concerned, when they were told it will soon come. Everyone in the dining room should be watching these areas. The hotel was not fully booked there should be extra of everything lying around. After a long wait, cold plates in the hot food section, hot plates in the cold food section. Servers picking up your utensils before you are finished. Servers not engage with guest. Ignoring people of colour and are more focus on white folks whom they think will give a bigger tip. Some meal, average but low end cut of meats. Carving skill lacking at roast station this results in a lot of waist. Recycled food items are prevalent and needs more creativity in its' presentation. This my 5th stay at this resort because of the location and it's proximity to my place of business functionality while I am in Jamaica. I have stayed at the Bahia 3 times, Rio twice , Breezes twice , Hyatt rose hall once , Sandals Negril, twice all in Jamaica . Club Caribbean best in creative entertainment. I will be visiting this resort again because of it proximity and convivence to my functionality while in Jamaica. The front desk staff are well trained very professional in their work. I had two servers that was very professional female Althea , and very tall light skin gentleman for got his name , they gave five star service. They should be training the new servers. I would recommend this location to a business, not a honeymooner or younger folks no night activity for the younger set . refrigerator in rooms would be nice.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Beautiful Resort

The pictures of the rooms are exactly how the rooms are. So nice and spacious, nicely decorated, great view. Everything was very clean. The pools are quite expansive and allows for lots of action or quieter areas and sun and shade options. Various beaches, water sports, snorkeling. Lots of dining options. Beautiful Resort, very much enjoyed our stay and felt safe. Tripcentral was great to deal with.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Awesome resort

Plenty to do .. daily activities to great night shows. The gym was outdated compared to the rest of the resort. Would have like additional choices of Le cartes. For a large resort I would like to have had more than 3 Lecarte the week choices. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to....thank you for taking care of us.

Riu Negril: Relaxing Vacation!

We stayed at RIU Negril for 1 week at the end of November. Here are some Pros and cons of the resort. Pros: clean large rooms, excellent food, great beach, great sea life, clean resort Cons: poor to none existing waitress service, nightly entertainment is repetative, staff not too friendly at beach bar Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort to others.

Royalton Blue Waters: Great beach

Beach was real nice but room was in disrepair and food options were poor unless you went diamond class. Definitely not a 5 star. Door fob didn't work to get in room when we arrived(took almost 2 hours to fix) bar wasn't stocked when we arrived and shower didn't work properly.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Excellent resort

Everything was perfect including staff,food beach and cleanliness. Absolutely no complaints . The room was beautiful and staff were very friendly . I would highly recommend this resort and would return again for sure.

Secrets St James: Secrets... 2nd to none

Amazing resort!! Not overly crowded, food was outstanding at all restaurants, everything was easily accessible with only a short walk to the beach. Infinity Pools were outstanding with a wonderful view of the ocean!! Highly recommend you check it out!!

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Beautiful Resort, Wonderful Staff!

Just returned from a blissful week at this resort in Jamaica. My sister and I had a fantastic time -- food was amazing, service was outstanding and the total vibe of the resort was just super chill and friendly. A lot of options for beaches and we never had a problem finding chairs. We would highly recommend the Indian a la carte restaurant -- suuuper delicious. We did not get to try the teppanyaki restaurant; even though they say you can book 1 day in advance, we tried to book on Wednesday for  [... read more]a Thursday reservation and their first opening was on Sunday. Also it was hard to find information about the shows and the buffet hours in the hotel room booklets were different than when they were actually open (ie. we never saw the Blue Lagoon open but it was supposed to serve lunch daily according to the hours). Would be great to add in a flyer or something about the activities / shows that goes into the pamphlet with the room keys. All in all though, this place was fantastic and I can't wait to return!

Overall I really enjoyed the resort, staff was friendly, resort/ room was clean. Buffet was good, lots of options. Also liked all the restaurant options for dinner. Lots of action around the main pool and options to go to adult pool or beach for more quiet time. Resort is huge so lots of walking which might not be easy for some. Also if you are a beach person for long walks that is something you won't get. There was a big gym too. great night entertainment as well. Riu Ocho Rios: Super fantastic resort

The overall hotel, facilities, staff, food,location was excellent. I'm really looking forward to a revisit in the near future. I would most definitely recommend it to family and friends. Being there was exactly what I needed

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Five star+ resort

Grand Bahia Principe is one of a kind. It is the staff, the customer service who makes a difference in the hotel. From the room, the activities, the spectacle/events are well organized and funny, with high intensity music that makes your body move. I choose Grand Bahai whenever we go on all inclusive vacations, this is our third one so far and couldn't say anything negative about it. We are so pleased and so grateful for our vacations. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Vacation

The hotel was well kept, landscaping was beautiful most of the staffs were friendly and helpful. Some of the staffs and security need to stop making advances at females without a partner. We were there for a gateway with family and friend and a well deserved break from work I don’t need to be harassed. I felt violated and unsafe when one of the security asked me for my room number to visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton! The grounds are beautiful, the employees are so friendly, and the food and drinks were top notch! You have 3 beautiful beaches to choose from and the largest pool in all of Jamaica! The restaurants are all good.. we honestly didn’t have a bad meal all week. The buffet was also very good - you absolutely can’t go hungry! The live entertainment upstairs every night was wonderful.. esp 80’s night! Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Honeymoon Bliss

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived we knew we made the right choice! The accommodations, service, food, staff and amenities were excellent. We will be back!

Excellence Oyster Bay: Setting a high bar

From jump, we knew we were in for a singular experience. The resort is on a secluded peninsula, with beautiful views of both land and sea. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-appointed. The food was varied and delicious, with little overlap between restaurant menus. We had minor problems with some construction noise and restocking of our mini bar, but the staff was, as always, friendly and responsive. Highly recommended.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: We'll be going again...it's fabulous!

We've been to RIU Tropical Bay in Negril a number of times and we love it! They did a great job with the renos. The rooms are clean and spacious. Balconies offer a great view as they are surrounded by glass so when you're sitting down, your view is not obstructed. The beach is perfect...nice and sandy. Guests are not packed in like sardines. There are plenty of lawn chairs and ample room. The water is typically like a bath. At about 5ish, the star fish make an appearance. It's just beautiful. [... read more] Negril Bay (formerly called Bloody Bay) is truly a piece of heaven. Food at the RIU is very good. Whether you choose an A la Carte restaurant or go to the buffet, you won't be disappointed. Best of all, you don't have to waste your time making reservations. It's first come, first served. If it's busy, sit down, have a drink...relax...your wait time will not be too long. And...you have to try the Jerk Hut...best food ever. Wish my chicken could be this good! Staff at the RIU work hard and are so pleasant. Even though it's an all inclusive, we like to tip well. We also come with lots of gifts for the cleaning staff. It's much appreciated. There was a wedding one evening and the whole set up looked so magical. Looked like a great time was had by all. To get to this resort, we always use personal transport (Island Tranfers). The bus tends to leave late and always stops midway. After a long time travelling, we just want to get to the hotel. Can't wait to go back. Always hate to see that trip end...that's my only negative. Try it out. You won't be disappointed.
