Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful resort, mediocre food!

We absolutely loved the grounds of the Iberostar. It truly felt like paradise. The vegetation throughout the resort was truly breath taking! The beaches were incredible and there was a lot of entertainment during the day by the fitness staff. There was stretching, volleyball, a water work out, dancing and more! The food wasnt the best by any means. The lunch served at the beach was by far our favourite. The breakfast, lunch and dinner options were not labeled so it was challenging to decifer wh [... read more]at was in each dish. The options didnt change at all throughout the week for any meals. As for the rooms, they were very well kept and in small little compounds which we loved. It was so quiet! There wasnt much entertainment during the evening. They had a live band maybe every other day in the lobby and a show in the auditorium at 930 every night. Some of the shows were jaw dropping! Other than that, there was no real night life. This is the perfect resort for kicking your feet up and enjoying the beach. We sure did that!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: This Resort has it ALL!! Superior Service

Loved! The Staff !!! Each and every staff member went out of their way to ensure our vacation was what we wanted it to be. FOOD was a plenty! 3 cook stations and enough variety that even the pickiest of eaters will be satisfied. They have many sauces, oils and vinegars for salads and to add flavour to your meals along with several dishes of flavoured salts. Entertainment staff fun. Beach is close, clean and aquamarine! Sunwing excursions are affordable and fun! Recommend the all in one. Our favourite was the rum snd sugar cane tour. Iberostar Daquiri has scooter rentals for $25 cuc. You can travel the island and leave to go to nearby city of Moran. Rooms are fresh and clean. Onsite shopping for souvenirs or forgotten toiletries. Cigar shop onsite too! with very knowledgeable staff. We went offsite to purchase and found Iberostar Daquiri had the best prices. Highly recommended if this is your first trip or 100th to Cuba. Keep in mind this Cayo doesnt have inhabitants.. resorts only! If you are looking for a trip where you meet locals or check out local restaurants and architecture you will have to rent a car or take an excursion.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Great friend and family vacation!

Back from a wonderful vacation as a group of 11. This is the fourth time to this resort and it didn’t disappoint. From the service, lush grounds, pools and beach we all found the resort perfect for our group. The lavish grounds with the flamingos, peacocks, iguanas and cotis as you walk the grounds is the best part as so natural. Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Another great stay but also a con alert ...

We are a 60ish couple that have stayed at this resort 7 times in the past 14 years. We have always had a great experience but as with any resort there are pros and cons. The Iberostar Punta Cana is a traditional style resort that is well maintained, everything is clean and the staff are great. The common areas are updated, the rooms are clean with excellent housekeeping but do show signs of age. Food is above average, never a problem finding appetizing stuff to eat here, never a problem getting a drink either, staff are attentive. The beach is on one of the nicest stretches of Bavaro in my opinion. Lots of sandy area and the surf isn’t as high here as other sections due to the proximity of the reef. You can go for walks in either direction, lots to see and many people doing the same thing, a great way to spend time in the sun. Shows are varied and the enthusiastic animation team do a great job to keep you entertained. This is not a party resort altho there is a disco as part of the complex away from the main accommodation area. At nights the pool area is quiet. Beware tho … Back in the mid 2000’s there used to be timeshare salesmen lining the walkway to the buffet, you had to run that gauntlet every time you went to eat which was tiring to say the least … then for many years all that stopped, clear sailing which was awesome. Well, it has returned, but not in the way you would expect … When you check into the resort you are assigned a concierge who sits with you and gives you information on the resort as well as takes your à la carte reservations. The next day when you pick up you reservation slips and they think they have your confidence they sneak in a request for you to attend a 1.5 hour “presentation” on some kind of deal they have cobbled together involving discounts on the premium services at this and other resorts in the area. Oh, and there is a $100 gift (a useless one) for attending … humm, sounds a lot like a variation of the old timeshare scam to me. When the concierge saw I was less than interested he even tried to guilt us into attending with “oh, will you just do it for me …” how pathetic is that … I abruptly ended our relationship at that point. NOTE TO IBEROSTAR MANAGEMENT … people don’t travel long distances and spend a ton of cash to get hustled on their vacation, you are a chain that I always considered above this kind of conduct … stop it! Bottom line tho is this is a great 4 starish resort with high standards, great food, great staff, great shows, great beach, two thumbs up on all that … just beware of the concierge …

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Would Go Back!

Enjoyed the week. Friendly professional staff in all areas from wait staff, entertainment staff, room staff. Was very impressed with the efforts this resort is making to being environmentally conscious. Looked forward to the dinners as food in each location was excellent. A big shout out to the entertainment staff, their nightly shows were great.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Fantastic time with the family

We really enjoyed our stay at the resort :) the kids(adults) water slides kept us all busy. My daughter 6 years old spent some time at the kids club since they had plenty of activities for example, outings to the ocean, practice for evening play ( they dressed up as animals for the Lion King to join the entertainers on stage) I would definitely return in the future!

Hotel Mojito: Beautiful resort

My sister and I just returned from the resort Feb 13. It was beautiful. Both of us have been to Cuba many times. We cannot say enough about the staff. Chicio(Alexander) at the lobby bar remembered what we liked after one day. The grill guys were marvelous. Tasty omelets and grilled fish. And the pasta bar always great. This was the first Cuban resort that had creme caramel as dessert. My favorite thing was not having to race for chairs at either the beach or the pools. BTW there was an adult o [... read more]nly pool. I was sorry for the staff that they seemed lightly booked but we loved it. The "superior" rooms were well stocked with amenities drinks and beach towels. Look for the churo cart by pool restaurant in the afternoon.

Amazing resort had lots of fun with my wife, Staff was great and food was very good. Resort was very close to the beach and close to downtown varadero and the entertainment was perfect, will be recommending this hotel to my friends an family

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Wonderful resort!

We just stayed at iberostar rose hall suites for the second time and weren’t disappointed. Large rooms, immaculate grounds, friendly service, lovely kid’s club, good food, great beach, always lounge chairs available, entertainment, no issues at all. Highly recommend for a relaxing holiday.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing beach and friendly staff

We booked this resort partly because so many people had great things to say about it. I was impressed right off the bat. Jessica at the front desk was so friendly and actually asked if my bracelet was good or if I wanted it changed. This was a first, they usually just stick it on and cut off my circulation. They spoke really good English too. We had no hot water for the first couple of days so o went to tell them and they were really accommodating and changed our room. We moved and all was well [... read more], they even called to check on us later. The staff everywhere is friendly, from maids to bartenders. The best bartender in the resort is at the beach bar "La Marina" named Einer. The food is good, we always had something to pick from and it didn't seem that they ran out of anything.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Iborestar Playa Alameda

The resort overall was very nice. Not crowded in the bars or buffet. It was clean and had some nice ammenities. The rooms were quite bad. When we arrived the pillow had mold on it and we did not get the king sized bed we had requested. The sheets were so moist it felt like I was sleeping in a wet bed. The repairs were very poorly done in a lot of places and kind of ruined the atmosphere in some places. However, the food was very good. JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Relaxing holiday

Great week at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro. The staff are fantastic without exception, always a friendly word and smile and there to assist. The hotel, property, amenities, pools, and the beach are all top of the line. Unfortunately had some issues with food on this trip but a great week in the DR despite this.

Had a great week. Resort is small so its easy to get around. Very clean. Rooms are fine. Nothing special. Beach is amazing. No trouble finding chairs. Had one pool day. Pool is small. We liked the beach better. Food is great. Mexican a la carte is great. Staff are friendly. Einer at La Marina is the man!!! He can mix a drink! We have never gone anywhere twice but we would go back here.

Very clean and well kept. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food at the buffet was great with a lot of choices also at restaurants was amazing food and drinks. Will go back to Jamaica at the iberostar rose hall suites. Beautiful

The resort was amazing. The rooms, the food, the entertainment, the grounds, the services, the pools, the beach...absolutely no complaints. Will return in 2021. We have already recommended it to friends and colleagues.

Iberostar Coral Holguin: No kids and pretty well behaved adults

The upscale end is very nice, it’s quite and no line ups for food which was nice for breakfast and lunch. Food is very repetitive certain things bananas tomatoes, weren’t to be found. And breakfast juices , didn’t have any. The specialty restaurants were very elegant and professional with plenty of staff, but other than the lobster, the food was just adequate. The food was probably the best here as there was shrimp beef and chicken and more ,freshly cooked in front of you. Rooms were FANTASTIC. we had a corner unit sweet, towels were always super clean , and fresh daily as well as bed turndown service all fridge waters and beer and pop were replenished daily. Hour bus ride, they have little golf carts that ar constantly driving around so if u don’t feel like walking just flag on down. Overall very nice presentation as well as grounds and pool and upgraded wooden chairs. Were all top notch, the food needs to be worked on. I no it’s cuba and I’ve been 20 plus times over 38;years, I have had better steaks and salads on some of the other islands.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Problems needing fixed

Holiday started off rough. This is not our first time here so we expected no problems. No water in room for two days, air conditioning problems, too much emphasis but on coral and prestige level that average Joe's felt part of the scenery. The animation staff never new what was happening that night when asked in the morning.. Junior and an older animation staff who i forget his name right now, but his son works in wait staff were great. Need MORE PROFESSIONALISM FOR SURE, Arielis looked exhausted trying to babysit these bafoons. Tables were always dirty and placemats, never new if your cutlery, or glasses had been used before. Seemed to me overall the place has gone down hill after their renovations. So sad as we always used to enjoy it. Stop trying to push out your average traveller for snobbery, and focus on those who made you what you are....your repeat average customers!! Shout out to Orlando, Baylaise, and kaysie who were fantastic. Oh and Pantara was the animation man I was thinking off.
