Caribe Deluxe Princess: Would consider another visit
The resort as a whole was fairly good, definitely in need of some updates to be sure. I would not say it was 4 star worthy personally. We had issues with the AC not working properly and told them about it at the front desk. No one followed up to fix it, so it was constantly a balmy 27 degrees which is not ideal for comfortable sleeping. Our cleaning lady was great and always made sure we had clean towels and our fridge was stocked! The food, I can not say too much about as I was ill for 50% of t [... read more]
Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Fantastic
The resort was nice. The weather was absolutely beautiful. I went with a party of 4 and we all loved the resort. We had a yellow bracelet. I don't like the fact that it's divided into levels. Should treat all their guests equally. The yellow bracelet gets you a hotel style room with super hard beds (lowest on the totem pole, had to pay for wifi and safe...all other levels were included with better beds). According to other couples...prices were the same. Each of us woke up with sore backs each d [... read more]
Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Tropical Paradise
The entire resort is a tropical paradise with beautifully landscaped grounds. Food was much better than previous Dom. Rep. experience. What moved my rating from 4 star to 5star was the staff. Marvelous friendly people who seem genuinely happy.
Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Beautiful resort......rooms were standard.
We did enjoy our time at the Cofresi Palm. No suprises as I had read a lot of the comments on this resort on Trip Advisor, so had a good idea of what to expect. It is a HUGE resort, no doubt. But transportation to and from both hotels (Cofresi Palm and the Tropical) was well organized and wait times were minimal. Rooms were okay. I’m certain that if we had insisted on an upgrade, we could have had a more ‘modern’ room, but our room was in a good location, close to amenities, so we decided [... read more]
Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Wonderful Resort
Just got back from a 10 day vacation at Cofresi Palms Beach and Spa Resort. Have little complaints. It's part of the Lifestyles Vacation resorts which treat their members like gold. You can travel by trolly or walk between Tropical reosort and other residence suites. The tropical side is much more formal than Cofresi so we went to their shows at the colesseum and found their buffet better also. Very short walk there. The food at the buffets and a la cartes was better than I have had anywhere in [... read more]
Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Average Stay
The pool smelled like urine, the beach was full of seaweed - FULL! Close to the marina, so smelled like fuel and was loud. The buffet was great, the restaurants weren't! Average rooms, but they all had balcony space, which was nice. NO water pressure and mostly cold - which is standard for DR .
Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Great Family Vacation
My husband and I stayed at this resort with our 4 year old son. The resort is very family friendly and we enjoyed our stayed. The rooms were beautiful and the grounds very well maintained. The staff were nice but very little English was spoken at the resort which made things difficult, we had a good time anyway.
Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Three Thumbs Up
This was our second stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Our last stay was two years ago. i brought my three children with me and we all enjoyed what the resort had to offer, from the gorgeous grounds, to the evening shows to the beautiful beach, the clean pools, the mini kids ping pong tournament, the free WiFi in the relaxing Lobby and most of all the friendly service from the staff at the resort. My children are still young but my oldest is at the age [... read more]
Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Very nice

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Great resort
Hotel is very nice and clean. The resort very close to beach with lots if coconut. Loved the beach. Would really enjoy to return. Excellent water park. Great places for kids and big families. Excellent entertainment. Too bad only 2 a la cart and is always full
Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Good time
Lots of fun, resort is huge! Beaches were great. Food was so so. Amazing time with friends. Many things to do on and of resort. Would recommend to try this place out. Weather was great all week, really hot!
Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Great resort, great service
Enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and the food was great. You have to try the restaurants - our favorite was the steak house. The Japanese and Italian were good. The grounds are beautiful. We stayed mostly around the pool - did not like the amount of seaweed along the shoreline.
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Large Group Trip
Hotel was nice, clean, but very large. I much prefer smaller resorts without all the different class/band types. Overall food was good, beach was beautiful, and resort was clean. Shows were fantasic. Only complaint is the size - way to big to relax.
Occidental Punta Cana: Wonderful vacation!
just arrived home last night from a wonderful vacation, the food was completely unexpectedly delicious we didn't have a meal that wasn't flavorful, presented nicely and made with perfection! The staff were friendly, the grounds were very well kept, the pools were nice, the beach area (Air Transat Privilege Club private area) was wonderful, a special shout out to Franklin the beach bartender! Yes the rooms were dated, definitely need some tender loving care and paint! But the staff did a good job [... read more]
Be Live Experience Hamaca Suites: Not the greatest resort
Rooms..not up to date, unless on the ocean view....not enough evening activities...disco and show, not enough. Respectfully, major language barrier. Food great! Beach bars close at six, no lobby bar. Too much walking for people with any disability. The ocean view only has one bar, for your buffet meals, you have to walk across the street to the garden view side.....even if it rains!
Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Outstanding Resort
It was our first time travelling to Punta Cana and Now Larimar was outstanding. Only 20 minutes from the airport. The resort was well maintained, rooms were clean and the food was very good. The staff were outstanding....very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The resort was not over crowded and it was never a problem finding chairs around the pool or beach at any time of the day. The entertainment staff were outstanding. I would definitely return to Now Larimar and recommend it to others.
Be Live Experience Hamaca Suites: Run down
Did not get the room we paid for,had to wait 3 hours and still not happy with what the gave us. Many local harrass you when out walking. Pool was dirty and bad lighting on stairs. Not as advertised would not return
Ocean Blue and Sand: Wonderful Vacation
We spent 10 wonderful days at the Ocean Blue. The beach and the pools were great. The food at the buffet and at the al a carts were very good. The line up to the Steak House and Mexican restaurant were long but worth the wait. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening entertainment. We would definitely return to this resort.
Blau Natura Park Resort: A relaxing week at Blau
Upon arrival at the Punta Cana airport we had some concerns. It was noted from Airport staff that Blau was run down, rustic and possibly unsafe. This was not the case. Blau maybe is not as manicured as your 4 or 5 star resorts, but provides a semi rustic charm. The wildlife, the staff and the food was spectacular! I have stayed at Sandals, Dreams and Iberostar. For my dollar the Blau was well worth it. Staff is fantastic. Big shout out to Julio (our server for the week) and of course Elvis the [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great family getaway!
Overall the hotel was fantastic! Positives: Good check in, nice rooms/amenities, beautiful beach, clean pools, large variety of food in buffet, and lots to do! Negatives: Lack of beach towels, lack of a-la-carte times, and 700+ drunk/rude S-Trip students.
