Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Beautiful resort

Beautiful resort. The only real complaint is that they give you there brand of Kahlúa not the real brand. Kahlúa is made in mexico. Some of the bars did have actual bottle of the real Kahlúa but we know the difference and it was their brand. We went into town and bought six 1L bottles from Walmart that only cost $10 a bottle so we actually bought our own booze which is crazy for a five-star hotel

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Fantastic Resort!

6 ladies in our group stayed at this resort to celebrate 3 of us who turned 60. The resort is beautiful, and we felt completely safe. I loved that there was lots to do, and the Recreational staff are a hoot! Many of us tried the yoga and Pilates classes on the beach gazebo first thing in the morning, which was so peaceful, not to mention a darn good workout! We did the bicycle tour, which was really nice, and beginner level. We saw monkeys and got to hold a baby crocodile & exotic birds. Rooms lovely, and we were spoiled by all staff. Meals were lovely, and it was nice not to have to reserve tables. There were plenty of beach lounges around the pool area & on beach with umbrella's for shade. Our plane was delayed 2 hours in Toronto, so our ocean view rooms that we paid extra for had been booked to other customers by the time we arrived, but the hotel manager, Enrique, took care of this by assigning us to premium rooms for the first night, and moving our bags the next day to the rooms we booked while we carried on with our day. He showed up daily to check in with us and make sure that all was satisfactory, even ensuring we had good tables at restaurants. Don't forget to do tequila tasting, & sushi making classes at pool. Dianna will crack you up big time!

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Over the top resort!

The resort is huge!! Well manicured, impeccably clean rooms, restrooms, restaurants and pools and area. This is a resort where you don't have to worry about towels and tickets for towels. You can use as many towels at a time as needed!!! The beach is full of weeds, although they tried they're best to keep it clean. No big deal I guess?! Also the briefing was only about the tours and nothing about the resort, like checkout times, towels,late checkout or courtesy room?

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Highly recommend for families

Amazing resort. Food was fantastic at the buffet. High chairs readily available in all the restaurants. Swim out family suite was beautiful and perfect for us with an infant napping multiple times a day. Kids splash pool was the best set up I have seen for kids.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Amazing food, saddened by the beach

The decor is very cool. Grounds are immaculate. The food was simply amazing. The service staff are very sweet, graceful and thoughtful. The bartender in the main bar is a genius, as.is the grill chef at the buffet. The pools and pool-fun staff rock. The beach however, doesn't come into the same ballpark. If the beach is important to you, this part will be extremely disappointing. I've been on many beaches and granted, I have a sensitive nose, but I couldn't tolerate the smell of raw s [... read more]ewage constantly at the beach. I have never had that experience at a beach, in this area or any other.. I could not spend any time there for being nauseated by the harsh smell... on several days.. at several different times.. just to be sure I wasn't imagining. .. I wasn't. I really love the beach and the ocean and was really saddened and conserned about what is happening with this part.. what is being done to the waters here ?

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great Resort!!

I found that the grounds were very well maintained Rooms were very clean and modern Air conditioning worked fantastic Food was fantastic Pool service requires improvement for supplying refreshments. No swim up pool bar. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an

This is a beautiful hotel. The grounds are well kept, staff courteous and professional, food of a high quality. Our stay was nearly perfect. The only negative comments would be that the hot water was often not quite hot enough. While one could still use it to shower, it wasn't as hot as one might prefer. Also, the buffet has loads of seafood. While this is to be expected of a "luxury" resort, the seafood is not segregated to one section of the buffet. This made it impossible for one of our trave [... read more]l companions to safely eat at the buffet for any meal other than breakfast given her shellfish allergy. I would would absolutely not reccommend this hotel to anyone with a serious food allergy. The entertainment staff was ok. Activities are plentiful but are pretty ho-hum. There's also no hot tubs? We were quite disappointed by this fact. All in all it was a great holiday save some very minor inconveniences.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Great staff. "Rafi's in the house"

The stay was made exceptional by the staff and entertainment. Nightly we were given a good show and often a laugh. The view of the ocean with mountains in behind made it easy to wake up after a few too many Indio. The pool was interesting enough to float in - which made up for the less than Caribbean beach and water.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Fantastic resort!

From the moment we checked in we knew that we would be back. The resort is beautiful, the service is outstanding and the pool and beach are spectacular. Lots of activities pool side if you want to participate, or a quiet pool if you don't. The restaurants did not disappoint - a wonderful selection.

Moon Palace Cancun: Wonderful Resort

Really nice sized rooms and everything worked perfectly. Outdoor washrooms were well kept. Deluxe room balconies are a nice size and we were fortunate enough to have a partial ocean view. Restaurant food was quite good and quick, there was always someone there asking you if you need anything. We loved the brand of coffee they served. It was well worth making a reservation at the golf course for the two restaurants there, they were superior. The location of this hotel was so close to the air [... read more]port which made it great, just 15 minutes away. Unfortunately, there was a bit of seaweed but it wasn't bad & it didn't prevent us from going in the ocean. I would return tomorrow if I could!

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Quaint resort

Hotel was clean and cozy, the beds were a bit firm but staff was kind and food very good. Adult pool was great but they need to have no smoking everywhere. The disco was lame and would be better served as a movie theatre or lounge as there are many good ones around. Walking to the old town is great close and safe but sidewalks are pretty uneven for the unsteady person.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: True 5 Star!

Been to Mexico three times now, and this resort was by far the best. The buffet and a la carts cannot be beat. Service was great and the rooms were new and clean. Used the 24 hr room service every morning for fresh coffee and pastries!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Slightly less than what I would call 5 star

The wait staff were excellent and very friendly. However we requested a ground floor room for mobility reasons and ended up on the third floor. We complained and got moved to the second floor. The water in the pools was freezing and just about the same in the rooms We had no hot water for three days

Crown Paradise Club: Club Crown Paradise

Excellent resort for families. Great staff, lots to do and see. Relaxed atmosphere and great food. Entertainment nightly if you choose to go. Rooms are basic and somewhat updated but immaculate and the housecleaning staff are very accommodating. One remark is that higher chairs around pool area for people with mobility issues.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Good Resort

This was the first time at this resort for my wife and myself. We were there for a wedding. The hotel was nice, but too big for our tastes. Did not have room we requested and that was a nightmare to deal with. But overall it was a nice vacation. No bad things to say about resort or staff.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Had a Great Time

First time on the pacific side of Mexico. Loved the area. It was very convenient flying from Toronto into Huatulco. We spent 10 days at the Las Brisas. Our stay went well. We were in a basic room which was fine for us. We spent very little time in the room. We spent most of the time at the beach. I am a beach person who loves to snorkel. The resort was perfect for that. I had the chance to snorkel everyday in the warm sea. We relied on the the trams to get us to and from our room as our ro [... read more]om was in the stars... We never had a problem getting a tram. We went to town a lot using the cheap taxi system. We went on a boat ride through Captain George at the beach. He did a good job. There was only three couples on the boat. A lot of the excursions offered in the area are all day and many people participating which did not appeal to me. The majority of the hotel guests were people from Mexico. We found ourselves gravitating to the very few other Canadian guests so we would have someone to talk to. At one point there were only 12 Canadian guests and all the rest were from Mexico. Needless to say the hotel catered to the majority. Two areas I think it in need of improvement are the entertainment and quality of food. The entertainment was the exact same every night. The same songs the same dances etc... They need more variety for sure. The food was not up to Mexican resort standards. I would suggest someone from the hotel go over to the mayan side for ideas on how to improve the food. I always found something to eat it was just the same thing every day. For example of the food quality... They call hot dogs sausages. They are plentiful. I do not go on vacation to eat hot dogs. There was never a boneless skinless chicken breast available. Which to me is a staple. They did not have a grilling section on the dinner buffet only lunch. I am not a seafood eater so this limits my selection. The best meal of the day was the lunch buffet. At least the food was better than in Cuba. I would go back to the Las Brisas if I got a good deal. The beach made up for everything for me. We tipped very generously and it was appreciated. Thanks to Julian and Roberto for taking good care of us. You both work so hard.

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Destination Wedding

The staff of the Grand Palladium went above and beyond our expectations, everyday of the trip. Friendly, approachable, and courteous, they were attentive to our every need. Although large in the scale, the resort does an amazing job keeping all the lobbies, restaurants, pools, beaches and walkways in pristine shape. Our wedding coordinator (Nidia) did an unbelievable job not only our the wedding day, but the in weeks and months leading up to it as well. We have travelled to many countries, and stayed in a variety of private to large scale resorts. The combination of location, staffing, cleanliness, and amenities at the Grand Palladium made it our most memorable trip to date. Hats off to the Grand Palladium White Sand Resort!

Crown Paradise Club: Great family resort

Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and had a quick check in. The staff was wonderful, especially Sabah, Edgar and the rest of the entertainment team! They were fun to be with and my kids instantly warmed to them and were with them constantly playing games and helping with daily duties. The morning buffet servers Carlos, Hector and team were wonderful and always had smiles in their faces. The beach was very clean and water was great to swim in. Further down the beach away from the resort the undertow was quite strong at times and we stayed away but in front of the Club Paradise it was perfect. Overall, we would definitely go back.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Beautiful Resort!

This resort is very different from any we have stayed at. We mostly stay at 5 star beach front resorts that the rooms are right on the ocean and there are minimal trees. This resort was so lush with beautiful trees it was amazing! It was the best of both world's, a 5 star beach front resort and a beautiful jungle all in one. There were so many walking trails to explore that take you through the trees, around cenotes and through some mayan ruins. You definitely need to like animals to com [... read more]e to this resort because they are every where! We even had a raccoon come up on our table out in the snack bar area, the kids just loved it! The shows at night were amazing! They were great for kids and adults. I would say the best entertainment we have seen at a resort so far. We did not need reservations at the a la cartes which was great for the kids, we never know when they are going to be hungry so we hate having to make reservations 3 days in advance like most resorts require. Some days we had to wait about 30 minutes to get in but it never bothered us. Most of the time we could get a table for 9 people within 5 minutes. Most of the food was delicious. The buffet did often run out of some foods though and it would take a while before they replaced it. The only reservations that is required is for the Japanese restaurant and it is so worth it!!!! The beach was beautiful and you could always get a beach chair any time of the day. The pools were great for the kids but the main pool area did get quit busy during the day. All in all it was an amazing vacation and we will go back again. We were a group of 7 adults and 2 kids aged 5 and 3. Please remember that you are going to a country where a lot of the workers live off of their tips and if they do not get tips that day they might not be able to feed their family. We saw far too many people not tipping it was sad! These people are serving you hand over foot 24 hours a day.

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Thoroughly Impressed

I had not visited a resort in approximately eight years due to a prior poor experience. The Grand Palladium is exceptional. Great service, food, and amenities. I will highly recommend to friends and family and consider revisiting.
