Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Nice Place

Overall we enjoyed this resort. It was easy to get around and restaurants, bars etc were close and easy to find. Beach chairs and pool chairs were very good and easy to find. Only a few things we Didn’t like. Resort was very stingy when pouring wine to the extent that when they poured wine into our glass we immediately went to the bar and brought back plastic cups of wine to add to the meaner amount that was originally served. Apparently they do this as instructed by senior management. Also on [... read more] several occasions the bars were not restocked until a few hours after opening. No draft beer was available on at least 3 mornings as well as certain kinds of liquor. Lobby bar was too close to the disco and theatre making it very loud instead of a quiet retreat. There were also too many people smoking everywhere. The serving staff were not well versed in English making it very difficult to get answers or place an order.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Beautiful resort!

We stayed at the Maya the 1st week of Feb 2020. It's a beautiful resort. We arrived around 10pm and restaurants were closed, but room service is available 24 hrs a day. The grounds are clean & well-maintained... very pretty. We were in bldg 63 which was perfect & central to pools, beach, restaurants. Our room was large with a king bed, sitting area & balcony facing the wave pool. Buffets were very good with plenty of options. We really enjoyed our vacation.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: A Well Thought Out Resort at last!

First thing we noticed were ramps and very few steps which I haven't come across in past resorts. And the rooms were covered so you were able to get to the lobby and most dining areas under cover if raining. The resort was smaller than I was used and only had one pool but it was a large pool with a shallow area for kids and of course a swim up bar. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very good with a good selection. Lots of dessert choices. Three alacarte restsurants-Japanese, Mexican and Mediterranean. The coffee could use some improvement but then we discovered the coffee machines in the main dining room and the smaller buffet area which had a big selection of specialty coffees. The beach was nice but the water was very choppy. Lots of chairs poolside and at beach.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: A beautiful place for a relaxing get away!

Only 30 minutes from the airport. There is not one thing I would change about this trip. Hotel room was clean, well stocked the air conditioning worked amazing. A huge tub, lots of hot water all around perfect room set up. The grounds were very well maintained. Very clean. Pool was spotless. Beach was breathtaking, we spent every day there. The food was fantastic. So much fish, shrimp and lobster. Yum! Omelets every morning for breakfast. Lots of variety and delisous. We went to Havanna, the bus tour was 10 hours long and every minute enjoyable. I am so glad we did this excursion. The city was beautiful. Bus trip in to varadero. The market was so fun. Saw the Beatles cafe. Was not harassed by the vendors once. Purshaced lots of sourvienors They were very polite. We felt very safe touring around on foot. Nightly entertainment at 930. Always a good show. Very relaxing and recharging trip. Just way we were looking for.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great resort

Had a fabulous time, weather was great, food was tasty,and always fresh. Beach was clean ,service good,would recomend it for sure! We did a day trip to Pilar beach, the most beautiful clear water ever,if you go to Cayo Coca,this beach is a must!

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Was an amazing resort

This was our 4th time to this resort. The staff do not disappoint. They are friendly, pleasant and accommodating. I love the people. What has changed over the years is the beachfront (it is getting much smaller) and the solicitor trying to sell cannabis on the beach. In past years they were never walking the beach but this year they are. At one point there was actually an altercation between a solicitor and a guest and then police. This is unacceptable. A large beachfront and not having guests bothered day after day. I am an IBerostar prestige member and may reconsider returning here.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Amazing Beach!

The resort it self is huge with 3 different sections and about 3k long. You have the Villa section, Family and Adults only areas. I stayed in the Adult only section and the room was a very good size. The food is what you expect for Cuba but plenty of choice. The beach is white sand and clear waters. Great for snorkeling and finding different species of fish. There is also a sunken barge to explore. Staff are friendly and polite, always going the extra mile. Iberostar Selection Varadero: Very nice resort

It was our first time at this resort Lobby bar area was nice Buffet was exceptionally clean and bright with lots of food choices Bathrooms by the pool and by the buffet only had only 2 stalls often 1 out of order so there was a line up even thou resort was at half capacity I could only imagine if resort was full capacity Our room was clean, service was good, friendly and helpful staff

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Late January 2020

Recently returned from a 7 day vacay to beautiful Iberostar Selection Playa Pilar. The weather was perfect, only 1 windy day. We are a family of 4 with a 4 and 7 year old, and all had a great time. Approx. 30min bus shuttle from the airport. Pros: - Well kept grounds. Newer resort so rooms, restaurants, lobby etc are showing no tiredness or wear. - gorgeous private bay with seating (covered beds and loungers) on a boardwalk and free paddleboats and sailboats to use. Reserve for 1 hour blos [... read more]ks. Bar on boardwalk! - hotel staff were always friendly and kind. No pushy salespeople for excursions, memberships, etc. - Ample selection of food, never went hungry. - Cigar bar - Kids club and private pool and play area. Kids club staff very friendly and assisted with an excellent adhoc birthday party for my 7 year old son and another guest. - additional pool beside the swim up bar that was great for kids. - pools always clean and well maintained. - 20 min walk from resort beach area via trail to Pilar Beach - bar tenders/servers very polite and efficient and never begged for tips. - Not a busy resort, very chill especially down by the beach. No other people from other resorts or salespersons walking on the beach as beach front is not connected to other resorts. - fun to feed to fish near on the boardwalk with bread. - good snorkeling in the bay, saw at least 20 starfish the first day and small reef on right side of bay with more fish to check out. Cons: - A few minor things could of went a long way. - more bowls and spoons in the buffet, would have been helpful, not sure why these were hard to find at times. - salt shakers could use some rice, clogged usually. - some parts of the boardwalk had inadequate boards, not strong enough or damaged. Take your time walking on them, no running. - could have been a better fresh fruit selection (typical of Cuba), only papaya, pineapple, and guava mainly. - resort could not seem to find a bathtub drain, despite advising them 3 times. Eventually made my own solution with bar soap plug. Had to make use of the great tub in the gorgeous bathroom! - MAKE RESTAURANT RESERVATIONS ON YOUR FIRST DAY! Made reservations on day 3 and were only able to make one on our second last day, very disappointed. Went to the Creole restaurant, food was great, excellent soup, however desserts should not have been the same as the ones at the buffet IMO. Conclusion: Pros outweigh the cons which are minor in the grand scheme. I would recommend for families and would come again. Went on a deep sea fishing excursion with my son via the Air Canada rep (Reps meet with you soon after your first day to tell you about resort, area, available excursions, etc.) and we had a blast catching barracudas!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Great Family Resort

We took our 2yr old and 9m old; there was lots to do for our toddler. The shopping center has an amazing playstructure and you can get ice cream, iced coffee, and crepes all included. It was a great place to go and play. The shows were a little too late for us as we were in bed at 8pm; we did watch 1 show and it was very cool. They had swimming lessons for the kids (mine did not participate) but there were well structured from what I observed. Staff was amazing and accomodating to us with the ki [... read more]ds. There was ALWAYS a chair available at the pool and we went at a very busy time. There always seemed like lots of space because there are so many pools. We will definatley be visiting the same resort again when our kids are a bit older to appreciate the amenities available!!

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Amazing vacation

This hotel was amazing. Our family had a fantastic time. The entertainment was incredible, it kept everyone engaged. The rooms were spacious and clean. Lots for everyone to do The staff were very friendly. Only thing I would change is the food it wasn’t great but we didn’t starve. The Japanese restaurant was a must do

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Quaint resort

The perfect resort that you go to for relaxation. Not a lot of nightly entertainment, but enough to enjoy the vibes of Cuba for a short while. Plenty of room at the beach and around the pool with a very enjoyable buffet restaurant. The 2 ala carte restaurants are a bonus.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Beautiful Family-Friendly Resort

Iberostar Rose Hall Suites is one of the best family-friendly resorts I’ve stayed at in the Caribbean. This was our first time in Jamaica and we travelled during the first half of January. The weather was very warm, but on most days, the wind made it a little more difficult to enjoy lounging by the beach. I loved waking up every morning and being able to see a beautiful view of the ocean, the pool and the well-manicured gardens from our balcony. For breakfast, we enjoyed a variety of juices from the juice bar, an abundance of tropical fruit, warm crepes and freshly made omelettes. For dinner, there was always fresh seafood, jerk chicken, flavourful curries and a variety of local vegetables available. The staff, the pool, the beach, the daily entertainment, the bars, the drinks and the amenities were all excellent. My family loved hanging out in the 24hr Café and visiting the Ice Cream Parlour at the neighbouring Beach resort. The view alone from the infinity pool to the oceanfront is enough to make you want to come back. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and stress-free vacation.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Beautiful week in Cayo Coco!

Our week at the Ilberostar Daiquiri was wonderful! Our room had a king size bed as requested and an ocean view that was perfect! The staff were always friendly and very helpful throughout the resort. Everything was always kept clean and staff were always busy making improvements and repairs. The food in the buffet was always plentiful but tended to be repetitive as is typically seen in Cuba. The entertain [... read more]ment staff ran games on the beach everyday, which everyone enjoyed watching even if not participating. Bar staff were always friendly and there never seemed to be a long wait for our drinks. The Cuban “rum” bar also served delicious strawberry daiquiri’s! We are early risers to go for beach walks so we never did see the show at night. Our last night we had our dinner at the Mexican al a carte which was very nice! Overall we had the quiet relaxing week we had hoped for. We’ve had many trips to different areas of Cuba and we both agree our second time at this resort was one of our nicest trips!

Very Beautiful everything was very very clean the beach everything about this hotel was wonderful From the staff to the rooms to the food pool bar service the coffee bar was amazing I would definitely recommend this special please to all my friends

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Absolutely Great Resort

We have been to cozumel 3 times before and this is by far the nicest resort we have stayed at. The 2 storey bungalow type rooms are beautiful. The resort is not too big, just right, never felt crowded. I love when you can sit by the pool and look out at the ocean and you can do this here. Food was amazing. Service top notch. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Loved it!!

I was overly pleased with the Iberostar. The staff were courteous and anxious to please. The dining areas were very good, nothing missing. I really have no complaints in the above areas. The entertainment at the resort was extremely loud and of course very little English which I suppose is understandable.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this hotel. Staff were courteous and helpful, the room was clean and the food was delicious. I went to several yoga classes and found the instructors to be top notch. We talked about it but we could not find one single thing to complain About or to improve upon. We would definitely return.

Iberostar Selection Cancun: Beautiful resort

The staff is helpful and friendly with the entertainment crew also being fun and energetic. The food at the buffet, Steak Restaurant, Japanese, Mexican and American Bistro is all excellent. The pools are beautiful - especially the main infinity pool overlooking the beach. The rooms are fine with very comfortable beds and pillows.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Loved it!

This is an excellent family resort. This is the cleanest resort that we have ever been to. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. The food is excellent, and they remember you throughout your stay. Our room was lovely and as promised was ocean facing. Our daughter loved the kids camp and asked to go back every day! We will definitely go again, and again.
