Paradisus Los Cayos: Wonderful experience

The rooms were clean, and the people were wonderful. The servers at the buffet areas, snack bar, and beach bar were polite, attentive and did their best to make your experience memorable. Food was okay, however snack bar has some good options. Cuba is known for its beaches and friendly hospitality. When going to Cuba to any resort, food will be a hit or miss. Melia Internacional: Hotel

Hotel was beautiful, love the ambiance. Lovely music, entertainment most nights were good. For a 5 star hotel food wasnt good. Too much meat. Dessert- very limited, most was mouse. In modern times a lot of people dont eat too much meat or are vegetarian. There should be a balance. One evening for dinner i ate bread & cheese. Hotel Vigia: Comfortable Friendly Resort

Small and Comfortable. Best beach in Cuba as far as I am concerned. Very clean. Staff is friendly and amazing. Grounds very well kept. Rooms need some Renovations but everything worked ok. Buffet food needs improvement. Overall I would give this a 4 out of 5.

Melia Internacional: Great experience

The hotel staff and facilities were excellent. Friendly, great service and overall a terrific vacation experience. Food was good except the beef - that was tough The only bad experience was the air carrier- Sunwing- I will never use them again

Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful beach

The beach is amazing! The colour of the water and white sand is breathtaking! On the down side- not near enough chairs on the beach, had to go very early to get chairs. But the staff was very helpful and the beach bar and snack bar staff amazing! The hotel needs allot of tlc.... no face clothes in rooms, no water at all or only enough for one person to have a quick shower. This was very disappointing. Only 220 watt outlets! There is only a few of them for the whole resort... so allot of walking which we didn’t mind but be aware if you expect that service. The rooms were clean and staff were accommodating. For the price, we would not complain but would if we paid more. The staff were very kind and helped in anyway they were able.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Enjoyable trip

Grounds were beautiful and room was very clean and spacious Pool was clean as well. Food was mediocre but could always find something that we liked The beach was small and crowded. Possibly because of the tide but we did not use the beach for that reason

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Cuba

Did not go in with a lot of expectations but had an enjoyable stay at this resort. In talking with other guests going with the “Royal” premium club was a good choice. Just that little more extra service and care and being able to do a la carte restaurants every night was nice. Rooms and grounds were generally well kept. Room had some minor issues related to estheticis and up keep (peeling paint and appeared some water damage to furniture) but comfortable. Melia Varadero: Good vacation

We were upgraded to a suite which was great news. The room itself was dated, furniture stained, chipped bit the private terrace and view were spectacular. The food was decent. Buffett was not appealing, what you would expect but the a la carte restaurants were very good. Service was just ok. It's a large resort so many different people were serving you. The one big thing lacking was nightlife. There was sometimes someone singing in the piano bar but after 930 or so there wasnt much to do

Melia Jardines del Rey: Not what I expected

The hotel itself is good. The food is horrible. We left good tips and hygiene products for the staff daily. They did not stock the fridge daily or leave water daily. The exersurions were way over priced .

Melia Varadero: Awesome Resort

Awesome place we go back there again and would highly recommend itSuper friendly stuff only problem we had was the cleaning lady when I was in keys and took a towel is that we brought from home. The hotel was close enough that you could take a scooter or a bike and go into Varadero

Melia Las Dunas: Great Beach

Our first time to Melia Las Dunas was fun despite the very windy and cool weather. Pros: great beach, Hobie Cat sailboats,very friendly and helpful staff, good selection and plenty of food, well kept gardens and shrubs. Cons: resort too large, buffet restaurant extremely busy & very noisy, very windy on beach, 2 hour bus ride to airport, very slow check-in at Santa Clara airport. We really enjoyed the great service and awesome beach, but this resort is way too big for our liking. Too many people in noisy buffet lineups, too much walking from beach to our room and back to restaurants, and the lengthy 2 hour bus ride to airport is not a good way to start or end a holiday.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Not a 5 star

We had no hot water for our 7 days, only lukewarm for 2. The beaches were not maintained, lots of weeds, cut my feet on broken shells. There was no path to the beach, would have been nice that one was built. The buffets were always the same. The only saving grace was the a la carte Japanese and oriental. I should have gone to the Royalton hotel instead. I'm so disappointed.

Melia Varadero: Amazing resort and service!

Everything from the moment you walked in just feels right! It is a beautiful well kept resort and the staff are amazing. They go above and beyond for their guests. I’ve been there twice and we plan on going again next year. If you can upgrade to the level, I highly recommend it.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Beautiful Beach

Tryp Cayo Coco is fully restored after the Hurrican two years ago. The lobby is bright and open. The check in is fast. Our room was well appointed lots of hot water. The meal choices in the buffet are vast always chicken, pork, beef, fish. Several types of potato, and vegetable. Large assortment of desserts and ice cream. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing weather, beach and landscaping. Exterior of the 6 buildings looked great.

We were disappointed that the resort was advertised as all inclusive. Neither red nor white wine was available during our two week stay unless you bought a bottle. The rooms needed to be upgraded - old worn out furniture. Had to ask for a room change because of the condition of our first room. Food was questionable. Sometimes labelled. Sometimes not labelled. Sometimes labelled incorrectly. Specialty restaurants were a real disappointment. The food was not good at all. Some items on the menu [... read more] were not available. Translation from Spanish to English and French was very poorly done. What you received was not necessarily what you thought you had ordered. Staff for the most part were very friendly and accommodating.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing Experience

The resort was very clean and very welcoming. It was nice to sit by the pool and relax or to take advantage of the variety of planned activities if we wanted to participate. The dining was great offering a variety of ethnic foods. It was unfortunate wine was not available however other beverages were available. I would definitely recommend the resort and I will be returning. Ps. met some great people. New friendships.

Sol Varadero Beach: Good resort

Good: new, nice beach, shower in room. Lobby bar was great. Bad: Slow service, freezing cold pool, always out of toilet paper, not enough bar staff to keep up, fire alarms kept going off, no stocked fridge in room,

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: mixed Review

The staff is great. The property is excellent. Our building had no hot water for two days, our friends in another building had no hot water for two weeks. The buffet and a la carte restaurants had no wine. The food at the buffet was fine except for the beef and pork. The only a la carte restaurants that were good were the Cuban and the Japanese. We were here 3 years ago and thought that we would try it again as it was great the last time.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Disappointimg Trip

Their a lack of hot water, and food appeared to be recycled and rather tasteless in the main cafeteria. The same food was served in both restaurants and steak not properly trimmed and no steak knives. There was not the same varieties of liquor or food that was present in previous stay. Had to pay for 2hr delay checkout on 9PM flight. The staff, with the exception of the room maid, were not as friendly as on previous stay. Melia Internacional: Resort was Fine

I think Melia Internacional in Varadero was a very nice looking hotel. The most amazing thing about it was definitely the rooms. The rooms were spacious, very clean and confortable. They also had a very nice design, lights and a lot of ammenities. However, the hotel in general was missing staff, and also was missing an ambiance. Music was not very present, only at the pool or at the beach during the time of activities. Cuba is known to be a very festive country, but it was not felt at the reso [... read more]rt.
