Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Good but not great

The resort was good but not great. This was our second time at Bahia Principe Fantasia (visited in 2019 & 2024). The room was spacious but the bathroom needs renovations. The shower and tub are showing signs of aging. The grounds are well kept and the food is always good. All of the a la carts were very good. The service was inconsistent. Impressive Punta Cana: Definitely Not Impressive

The beach was very nice and Will at the concierge desk was above and beyond helpful. That was pretty much it. - Check in was extremely inconvenient as a result of miscommunication. Reception staff were not willing to work around the miscommunication which resulted in a 3 hr check in process for our group of 25. That doesn’t go well after everyone is tired, hungry and just looking to rest. - the room was ok. Hot Water outages every day from 5-8PM. Room service cleaned well the first day. Days [... read more] after that sheets were barely made, washroom was not cleaned. Overall the rooms got gross through the course of 7 days. - Tapas and Pizza restaurant never cooked their burgers. I ate one first day, had food poisoning for the next 2 days. I checked another burger and it was raw meat inside. The buffet restaurant was ok. Flies everywhere, however after I got food poisoning I was hesitant of the rest of the food at the resort. - resort staff all speak Spanish. So it was difficult to communicate. Especially at the reception. There would be one or two receptionist that spoke English, which meant that we always had to wait for those two to be available to help us. Overall majority of the staff lack in skill resulting in inefficient way to run a resort and increased frustration for travellers.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Fantastic Holiday!

We booked at the Serenade Resort and Spa from May 9-16. This was an excellent resort and stay. Resort was well managed with a large number of very friendly and cooperative staff. Food and drinks were very good overall. Our room was spacious and fully met our expectations. Ours was a premium jacuzzi room (4321) at the front of the resort and facing the beach. View was exceptional. The room included the Preferred package of options which is highly recommended. This included a specialty restaura [... read more]nt (Gourmet) ; served a 5 course meal which was one of the best we've had in a resort. Preferred also included a separate infinity pool bar area on the 4th floor rooftop facing the beach; spectacular view. Best of all it included access to the adjoining Serenade adult resort; full access except for the ala cartes. Buffet on adult side was exceptional. Beach was large and very clean. Small amounts of seaweed cleaned daily. Minor point was the separate checking for the Premiun room had already closed at the time of our arrival about 6.00 pm. Highly recommend the Serenade for services and value.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Romantic Anniversary/Marriage/Honeymoon Trip

We wanted something that was private and special as we were celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the day we met, exchanged wedding rings during a romantic dinner on the beach then continued with our honeymoon. Our trip also included my husband’s birthday and Mother’s Day…Iberostar Grand Bavaro was amazing!!! The beach was wonderful! We walked everyday. Even though we are not pool people, they were very nice and the grounds were beautiful. The food at the restaurants and the buffets were exceptional, the service was always prompt and pleasant. Our room was an ocean view butler suite. It was nice but unfortunately was on the 2nd floor and was furthest from the beach which was disappointing - we had contacted Iberostar prior to arrival to confirm our “closest to the beach” request but never received a response. At check-in and after speaking with the on-site rep nothing could be done to change our room/location. We were told that agencies are only given specific blocks of rooms regardless of what they promise. However, it would have been appropriate for Management to reply to our e-mail to advise. So be aware! All of the staff at the resort were amazing - definitely 5-star! However, we really didn’t care for the “time share” type of presentation/sell tactics for other Iberostar Resorts while receiving our hotel promo coupons…stuff like that is not acceptable for a 5-Star and Management should rethink this type sales tactics. Back to the positive - now that we have experienced the Grand we plan on returning (with a few tweaks) as it was a wonderful trip and we would definitely recommend this resort!

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Just what we needed!

Our family of 5 were in love with our rooms. Plenty of space to relax. The resort was very well kept and always looking fresh. The ambiance in the evening was incredible. Seeing the hotel lit up at night was truly beautiful. There was plenty of tasty food at the buffet and a la cart restaurant choices too. The staff was friendly and always ready to help.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Beautiful ??

Great 10 days! Fantastic staff, nice and clean and the food was awesome ? if we had any issues we would go to the concierge and they would fix the issue without hesitation I would definitely go back

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Great time

The entire facility was great. It was pristine no matter where you went. The smiling faces great you at every turn. All three pools were kept clean. The restaurants were amazing,food was plentiful and delicious.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Good resort

Overall our stay in the resort was very good. Reading the reviews before made us question if this is a good stay. It turned out to be great! I recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing stay, worth the price.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great resort

The hotel is beautiful lush gardens with beautiful pools and beach. The food was really good and a lot of options.arw favorite was the steakhouse. The rooms are nice and spacious could use some updates. Service was ok some of the workers could be better for sure. Over all it's a nice resort

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Outstanding!

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The beach was amazing and the service second to none. The buffet restaurant and food in general was very good! Lots of selection and high quality.

Riu Republica: Not satisfied

The grounds were not clean enough. The drug dealers are all over the place, including on your staff. The pool water was dirty. The food was bad except for Ole which was pretty good. Bar service was very bad. The beach/ocean was amazing.

Riu Republica: Great spot to kick start your weight loss journey

The food is absolutely terrible. Room is dirty and house keeping is spotty. Booze does the trick. I would advise looking at other Riu resorts in the area as there are far nicer ones. Great place to party!

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Don’t pick the Bavaro Resort

The compound had about 7 resorts, don’t choose the Bavaro one. The customer service there is terrible, they give you dirty looks the whole time and they only speak spanish. The buffet also has a terrible smell that makes you nauseous when you eat. Pick the Punta Cana one or any of the other resorts. The entertainment was good and we still had access to some other resorts so we were able to enjoy ourselves.

Let me start off with the pros This resort is beautiful very clean in the rooms are amazing. The staff for the most part was extremely friendly and very helpful. Now for the cons if you were a beach person and love to go into the ocean this is not a place for you the beach is awful. There is a terrible smell of sewer throughout the resort. It was absolutely fantastic. the room was very accommodating and the service was excellent. being our first time on a resort we couldn't believe we didn't have to pay for anything but tips. We would definitely go again and recommend it to friends

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Wonderful Time!

The Serenade Adults only resort is beautiful. We found out it is only 5 months old, so they do have some kinks to work out, some of them being, running out of towels by the pool and the food at the buffet not being replenished fast enough. The resort did not feel crowded. With 3 pools, everyone was able to spread out. Although we had access to the family side, we were not allowed to go to their restaurants, which was a little disappointing. Every time we went to restaurants we were approached with people trying to sell us spa packages or excursions. All in all it was very relaxing. Just the trip we were looking for.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Bahia Principe luxury Esmeralda PUJ

Usually we go to Mexico but because of the seaweed we had all of our last travels in the Playa del Carmen area we went this time to Punta Cana. Unfortunately we had 4 of the 7 days again a lot of seaweed. The good thing is that there wasn’t any rock on the beach or the ocean. The room was great. Everything you need and clean. One day we didn’t had hot water and asked several days for was clothes but didn’t get them. Minor things. The food was good. Because there are 6 or 7 Bahia hotels next to each other and you can go to most of the restaurants. There was no internet at the beach. They had those routers on poles at the beach but they didn’t work. Wifi on the rest of the hotel grounds was okay. One main pool with loud music, a “quiet “ pool and in the middle a pool with bubble tubs. All three pools were kinda warm. Overall we loved it and made a good choice for this hotel.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort Spa and Casino: Terrible experience

Do NOT go here, especially if you have children or need special accommodations (disability, allergies, etc). I wouldn’t recommend this resort or destination to anyone. The staff was incredibly rude. We spent more time trying to sort out our stay with no resolution than at the pool/beach. The pool decks were covered in cigarette butts and empty cups and the beach front was unkept by the resort.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Good resort

The grounds are well maintained, food was very good, lots of variety, we did have a few issues with the room, but the staff took care of everything. It’s an old resort and it needs some upgrades. The staff is very friendly, no complaints about that.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort!!

Room was fantastic! Always clean. Staff was very nice and always helpful. Restaurants/food was great will a lot of variety!! Activities were great. Night life was awesome will great entertainers! Already planning to go back!
