There is so much to do and see on this resort. There is endless food options all day and evening long ranging from room service to quick snacks like nachoes and burgers. The drinks and service were wonderful, we never had an empty glass in our hands for more than 5 minutes. The pool was beautiful and there was always some sort of activity going on, on the lower level of the pool. Even though this is a child friendly resort, as someone without children, you could barely tell there were children t[... read more]here (some may think this is a plus for a more adult kind of vacation). The rooms were kept clean each day by a wonderful maid service and the resort itself was kept in tip-top shape. Checking in was a breeze and they were very accomidating to us. There is an environmental tax that you have to pay for which we were not made aware of that until we arrived but it works out to about $10 USD so not a big deal. The only negative thing I would have to say about this resort is that the gift shop does not take USD, it only takes credit cards or Peso's as payment options which is frustrating since most travellers bring only USD and some may not like to use their credit cards. Otherwise, it was a wonderful vacation, wonderful resort and staff and we will definitely be making a return to this resort in the future, staying longer our next trips!

Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Great Deal for the Money!
Overall I enjoyed my stay & I would stay here again, however I have lower standards.
I booked this 4 day vacation, just to get away from the snow & enjoy SUN!
The hotel is locally in downtown & a very short walk from restaurants and supermarket. The outdoors area is beautiful with private cabanas, music & bar. I travelled alone, but was easily able to meet others.
My bed was comfortable, but that was the only good thing about my room. My linens had stains, my bath towels were old and s[... read more]tained, the “shower†was the worst. Old bathtub with shower head from the wall, but not high enough for a tall person, also no shower curtain. The toilet wasn’t cleaned properly upon check-in either. I didn’t complain about any of things, just made notes for this review.
Wifi is decent enough throughout the hotel & pool area
The staff are friendly and the bar food is good.
However I got to lay out in the sun & come home with a tan, so I’m happy. Next time I would request a room with an actual shower stall & clean linens.
Beach access: I purchased a day pass to the sister resort - Grand Oasis Cancun for 660mxn. It includes shuttle to/from and access to restaurants, bar & beach but No Wifi. I enjoyed my time at the beach, meeting new people. But the service on the property was very poor. Bad attitudes from check-in & restaurant staff. I wouldn’t stay here.

Club Med Cancun: Club Med Cancun....Amazing
As former G.O's, we have always enjoyed club med and had experienced other villages but this was our first time in Cancun. The team was wonderful..props to Shilou and Tino who were energetic, friendly and available as GO's should be. The Aguamarina building is far from the main area but perfect for quiet and getting a third level ocean view room was the way to go. It is a French company so there are a lot of French speakers but a lovely ambiance. Club Med's beach was the best on the whole st[... read more]rip. Would definitely go again. We went to Moon Palace (the Grand) last year and would never go back. It is close to the airport which was lovely. Beware: Air Transat was late their and back....with no consideration to the passengers. go another airline if you can. As always, Debbie Maguire was and amazing agent and would definitely use her again...as this is my 6th one with her!!

Grand Oasis Sens: Grand oasis sens in Jan/Feb
The beach is AMAZING and Antonio at the beach bar, was the hardest working person we met at the resort. He was super friendly and remembered our drinks by the second day. The 3 pools are great but not heated; we preferred the hidden pool as it had great Bali beds and a deep pool, great for swimming. Our room on the second floor was a little humid because there are no windows or balcony and didn't seem to air out much. Especially since we had to dry our wet bathing suits in the bathroom everyday.[... read more] However once the air conditioner was on, it helped a bit.
The entertainment by the main pool at lunch was so so: lap/poll dance lessons, water volleyball, free short massages; nothing that truly interested many people. The foam party on the Saturday was a lot of fun!
The service was great but could use a bump up since it seemed the tipping made a big impact.
We had an issue with our safe and after visiting the front desk to ask for help, security came to our room and fixed it within 5 mins. The "coffee and me" place had great coffee and snacks through out the day and late snacks from 11pm to 2 am. Sakura was the best restaurant we ate dinner at, each course was delicious. You need to make a reservation for it but we managed to get in 2 times during our 7 night stay. The next best restaurant is "The Box" which had a crazy reservation system but worth it. We had to stand in line from 6pm to get a 7pm reservation for that same day. They only have 2 seating times 7 and 8:30 and each holds about 20 people. The other two dinner options for us non Sian Kaan guests, were Moonlight which had a great salad bar and Italian a la la carte dishes, and Coba which was an international buffet, food was good at both.
Lunch options: Sushi Bar was really good, we ate at it almost everyday. Maria Bonita was the only place where you can order "authentic" Mexican food which was delicious. Hippie Chick was good too but served more greasy good like burgers and fries which we didn't really care for.
We emailed ahead of time and informed the hotel it was my birthday and they went out of their way for us. Prepared a special 4 course dinner and served it at Moonlight since Sakura is closed on Wednesdays. They also surprised us with a bottle of champagne and cake in our room.
On Thursdays, everyone at the resort is invited to party on a pirate ship off the resort. The party can get pretty wild and drinks and some snacks are included. We were bussed there and back returning around 3 am. The other nights, entertainment is hit or miss.
Overall, we had a great time. There were things that weren't perfect but we thought it was great value for what we paid. We met great people and will have lots of memories.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great resort
This hotel is great it’s my second time staying here there’s lots of options and the staff are amazing. My only complaint is they had the party zone booked off for three days so from Friday-Sunday we were not allowed to access that part of the resort there was Punjabi music blasting for three days straight it over powered the other music at the pool and if we wanted to go to the ocean we had to walk all the way to the other side of the resort so I was pretty disappointed in that. Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Lovely resort, but needs more staff
The grounds and pools were lovely, as were the rooms. However, there never seemed to be enough staff to accommodate the visitors. It took far too long to get coffee or water at breakfast and that was after asking more than one server. Our rooms were cleaned twice in a week and not particularly well. Even getting drinks poolside took longer than it should have. I don’t think the staff weren’t good, there just weren’t enough of them. And the food was generally OK. Not fantastic.

Hyatt Ziva Cancun: Amazing resort! Loved every minute of our trip.
Can't say enough about this hotel. I have been to Cancun many times, and this was by far the best resort.
Staff were so accommodating and attentive to our needs. 9 days was not enough to enjoy all the great food. Never had to wait for a table and the food was freshly prepared by skilled and professionally trained chefs. We tipped well, but it was never expected.
5 stars plus for Hyatt Ziva.

TRS Coral: Beautiful Resort
Beautiful resort, very modern with all amenities in rooms that you need and then some. The staff were extremely friendly and tried to be helpful where they could. Butlers are not true butlers, they are concierge like roles that have multiple rooms to assist. The beach is beautiful with soft white sand. Chairs were available in the TRS section, but not enough umbrellas on those days with no clouds. Bar service on the beach was good for the most part. They need to put in washrooms on the be[... read more]ach somewhere. Its not that far to pool washrooms, but you have to leave the beach. One staff member said that was in the plans down the road.
Rooms: Wonderful. Only complaint would be that the bar fridge took all day to be stocked and some days we had to call room service to bring water as we were running out, but not that big a deal. Balconies in the south facing junior suites are huge, but not comfortable furniture for lounging. Would recommend that 2 loungers be provided. There is plenty of room. Most rooms have some sort of oceanview. We had a room on the side facing the Secrets resort in building 1. Great views and sun most of the day. Sunrises were beautiful.
Food: Food was good, but a la carte restaurants were very slow on the TRS side for breakfast. Would love to see a breakfast and lunch buffet on the TRS side. If you wanted quick buffet instead of average 1 hour in an a la carte for breakfast and lunch you had to go to the family side buffet. A bit of a walk, but not too bad. A la carte reservations were frustrating. Never available at the time you wanted or day you wanted, then if you went and took a chance on a walk in, it was no problem to get in and half of the tables were empty in some restaurants. Recommend that they just do first come first serve and staff up to serve the full restaurant. Was told that tables were empty due to staff levels, not capacity for seating?
Helios was open for lunch every day, but some days not enough staff. Turn that restaurant into a breakfast and lunch buffet - problem solved.
CHIC entertainment was well worth the confusion around getting tickets from our butler. They automatically schedule you for the night before you leave, but when you have an early flight its not ideal. We managed to get tickets for another night, but not without a lot of run around. Finally went to the front desk and they resolved and got us tickets for an alternate night within 15 minutes.
Pool bar entertainment was really good in the afternoons. Singers, violin player, jazz ensemble.
Overall a great experience and we would return to this resort next year or a couple of years from now to see if some of these things have been ironed out.

TRS Coral: Beautiful brand new resort in Cancun, Mexico!
We enjoyed our recent vacation at the TRS Coral, Cancun, for 10 days (Jan. 19-29, 2019). The swim-up room was beautiful, the staff were very friendly & helpful and the specialty dining restaurants were outstanding. We liked the unique feature of the key to our room being readily accessible on our wrist bands. And, the electronic button in our room which we could press for either 'do not disturb" or "kindly make up our room" requests.
The beach was really lovely & kept clear of seaweed an[... read more]d great for walking. We had no problem finding lounge chairs as they were always available at both the pool and beach areas
Another wonderful feature was the electric boats which ran through the TRS and Palladium resort. We used the boat a few times to get to dining on the Palladium side. Only a 10 minute walk but the boat ride was both fun and scenic.
When we checked in we had requested that our swim-up room would face the TRS pool area and get the sunlight as much as possible. Our swim up was on the other side of Building 2 facing the Travel Club pool which not only was in the shade all day, but we faced their bar and it was very noisy.
TRS Coral is the adult only part of the resort which we booked as we wanted a 5 star adult only holiday. Palladium on the other side is the family section. Four of the eight specialty restaurants are located in the Palladium or family section as well as the only sports bar and the outdoor theatre. And the only true buffet. We were disappointed that as we were paying for an adult only resort that we had to have some dinners with a number of children present in the restaurant. Particularly, the sports bar was very busy with children present even later in the evenings.

Paradisus Cancun: An OK hotel
The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The rooms are clean and spacious.
There are lots of palapas on the beach and by the pool if you want some shade.
The biggest disappointment is the food in the buffet. NOTHING was ever remotely warm so all food was cold. There was a lot of food but not many cooked vegetables. Most of the food was very bland and salt and pepper were not on the table. You had to ask for it and then they put it on your food. The waiters were very acco[... read more]modating and service was excellent.
However, due to the food situation I wouldn't go back to this hotel. While there I met several people who also complained about the food and said that it was not up to the standard of a 4+ hotel.

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Very Disappointing
Everything, Food, Entertainment, Beach were a long distance from one another. No nightlife, no bars, no atmosphere- nothing to do as weather was just terrible. Golf carts needed to get to places were in very short supply, especially when it was raining and had to wait around for one to pass - usually full. Beach restaurant and/or bathrooms too far away from beach area that was very crowed. Beach was very nice though, but had to be there quite early to obtain chairs and umbrellas. Supposedly "Qu[... read more]ite Pool" had many crying and loud children. The wait staff, especially Carlos, was very good and attentive. The Poseidon Beach Buffet restaurant was okay, but food choices limited and in short supply. Fuentes one of the wait staff was very good. The rooms were spacious and English T.V. Channels were available. If you took a room on the ground level, it was like grand central station with everyone passing your balcony area to get to he beach or restaurant. "The Village" restaurants were excellent and would recommend, altough getting to the Village you had again to rely on transportation there and back. In very short supply after 9:00 p.m. I would not choose this resort again. It was brand new, open just over 2 months previous, and not a full capacity. I am sot sure what it would have been like if full.

Riu Dunamar: Review Title
The Riu Dunamar in Cancun where I recently spent a week was amazing; my beef is with Sunwing; our flight home was supposed to be a direct flight and it was not. We were lied to by several Sunwing reps when we complained, ruined the whole experience for us, never booking with Sunwing again.

The Pyramid Cancun: Wasn’t like before..
I’ve been to this resort 3 times now and loved it the first 2 times. I understand they want to be the #1 party resort and have all the entertainment. Which is ok, the shows in the main lobby are a must see! But the fact that the food has gone downhill is pretty sad, we saw so many people upgrade their bracelets to The Pyramid. That way they had more options to eat, it was ridiculously loud with everyone coming in at all hours yelling in the lobby. The rooms were so so, staff was nice. If you w[... read more]in $ in the casino, they won’t exchange the paseos there or at the lobby. You’ll have to go across to the money exchange to get whichever domination you want.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Would not go back ! I would not recommend this place
I really thought fir a month should I write a review or just leave it alone ! Then I thought I would be doing the next person a public disservice!
So I am suggesting you move on please do not waste your money on this place , and this is current Jan 2019 , it would have to be the worst resort I have ever been and the most expensive! Which really does not make sense .
