Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Gem of a resort
The Decameron is a deliteful ,colorful entertaining resort. The grounds are well kept and the staff are friendly and helpful. There are 5 pools, a kids pool an adult only quiet pool, one with entertainment. Lots of dinning options, 2 smorgs and 5 alacart restaurants. NIghtly theater shows that are very good. It is a short walk into the Mexican town of Bucerias which has a market full of all your Mexican souvenirs. This is great Mexican holiday experience.
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Good resort, great beach
Beach is located right next to the resort which is awesome. Restaurants are good, but unfortunately you are forced to wake up at 8am to book your dinner reservations each day (or up to 1 day in advance). I wish they had something else in place so the people leaving at 7:30 for excursions can still book dinners. Bars were ok, but their selection wasn't as good as some other resorts I have been to (could not get a mojito). They should have wifi in all the rooms, not just certain common areas.
Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Perfect for families
This resort is amazing for families! Food was good, we enjoyed it all, and so did my 2 small kids. Lots of shows and entertainment for the whole family. We enjoyed our stay! Every day there is always something going on to keep everyone busy and having fun.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Still great
Been to this hotel 3 times over the past 15 years and never disappoints. Still great value for the money. Nothing ever feels crowded, staff are wonderful grounds are beautiful. Authentic Mexican feel. Wonderful location
Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Loved it!!!
We really enjoyed this hotel. We got such a great price on it that expectations weren’t high so we were so happy when it was such a great resort! Food was excellent, drinks were excellent, the pool is nice and big, sun all day every day! All around had an awesome week, would definitely return!!
Riu Vallarta: Great vacation
Very clean well kept resort, beautiful grounds, pools and beach. Never overcrowded, no line ups in buffet. However downside was no reservations for alacarte restaurants, first come first serve therefore over an hour line up to get in. Lots of variety of food choices..good mixed drinks. Helpful and pleasant staff, always good supply of towels in room, good water pressure and always hot. All around probably best resort we have been to!
Crown Paradise Golden: average resort
beautiful area nice location with a great view and great beach front. Hotel is dated and in need of an upgrade. Rooms were good with comfortable bed and good pillows. Entertainment staff did a great job with limited resources available. no swim up bar just a bar side hot tub that was always too crowed.
Vamar Vallarta: Excellent
We stayed at the vamar for 7 days and had a fantastic time. The resort staff was amazing and extremely hospitable. Ramon and nacho at the front were incredible to us and so accommodating to us. The rooms were very big with beautiful views of the marina and swim up bars. The noise from the construction next door was my one and only complaint. Any issues or needs we had were dealt with in a timely and professional manner. The food was outstanding. Would definitely visit this resort ahain.
Riu Flamingos: Beautiful Resort
Very well run resort. Clean, phenomenal food & service! Could use a pool for adults that are not interested in partying! Disappointed in the amount of food wasted by some vacationers, nothing to do with the resort, but maybe people should be charged for what they leave on their plates.
Melia Puerto Vallarta: Melia!
If you have a family this is the resort to go to. As a single mom bringing my 2 kids ages 3 and 13, there was something for each of them to do, all of the time! My 3 year old LOVED the kids club. Isabel and Keren in the kids club were helpful and knowledgeable, and the kids loved being with them. Food was great! No matter which restaurant you went to there was something there for each one of us. Overall we always felt safe at this resort, and I never felt pressured to purchase or do anything we [... read more]
Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit: Lovely resort, amazing service
This is a beautiful resort on a beautiful stretch of beach. It is more expensive than most of the resorts we typically stay at, which are as beautiful as this one, but the little things done at Grand Velas sets it apart. The staff are amazing and always ask if you need anything, and if you do, they jump on it. It is great having the high quality sun screen available around the pool. There are some staff that come by and clean your sunglasses while you are at the pool. If you order food by t [... read more]
Riu Flamingos: Amazing resort
Riu Jalisco was a great resort. The buffet and the a la carte restaurants were great except the oriental / Asian one (think it's called the Grand Dragon). Service was great. The room was clean. We also did the "amazing day" excursion and it was truly amazing.
Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Our trip - Decameron Los Cocos in Rińcon de Guayabitos
This was our second trip to this location and hotel and we weren’t disappointed. Although listed as a 3 star hotel probably because it is an older hotel, we cannot say nice enough things about the cleanliness and especially the staff. They are wonderful in all respects. Although there is only 1 buffet restaurant and 1 à la carte, the varied selection of food was surprisingly good. There was a different ‘food’ theme each night going from Italian to Asian, BBQ, International and Mexican [... read more]
Las Palmas by the Sea: Very great resort for the price!!
I loved this resort through and through. Beds were a little hard and the food is your typical resort food. Other than that for the price it was well worth it! If you are looking for a good resort for a family this one is perfect.
Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Excellent Resort
Hotel is clean , close to the main town and on the beach. Food ,pools, rooms , hotel staff and etc. Met all our expectations. Can not say anything bad about this hotel. Rooms had a great view of the ocean. In the morning we could see dolphins in the distance. All the staff is friendly and helpful. We would return back to this Resort.
Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Great resort
Hotel was old but it was great - friendly and b]very help-full staff. great activity, only issue we had was that the room we stayed in ( room 3301) the air condition switch wasn't working , we had to climb on one of the beds to press the air on .... ( I understand from another Canadian tourist that the switch hasn't been working for past two years.... this is not a complain as we didn't really have any issue with the air it self
Grand Palladium Vallarta: Relaxing!
Awesome food, drinks, staff and location. Not too far from the airport. Shuttles were on time, easy check in. Everyone was helpful. Clean grounds, nice rooms. Beers were cold, rums were strong. All you need.
Riu Flamingos: Wonderful place
The hotel not bad ,when we book in Tripp central they told us we don't need to reserve for fine dining restaurant but we went toItalian restaurant ,and the hostess told us we wait for an hour in order for s to eat but it looks like we need to reserve earlier In. order for us to eat.We are so hungry so we go to steak restaurant and its close again we try the Chinese also close we end up eating in the buffet.Ivan the manager of the restaurant is very helpful he resolve our problem .the next [... read more]
Las Palmas by the Sea: FUN RESORT!
Las Palmas by the Sea in Puerto Vallarta would be classified as a 2 or 3 star. It is very old with no apparent updates and the hallways echo a lot of noise. However, it is remarkably clean, very authentic Mexican style and the staff are amazing. The pools and hot tub are great and well kept. It is not the cleanest ocean area I have seen but you could still sit in the loungers on the beach and swim when the waves aren't too strong. Great place for meeting people and going on excursions as it [... read more]
