Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Great stay!

Stayed at the Be Live from Feb 20-27th, hotel was a tad runned down but overall a great week with lots of wonderful staff and people. Food was also good with lots of variety. Would come again for the right price !

Grand Palladium Palace: Great vacation

We were upgraded to Royal Suites and the rooms were exquisite. Free WiFi was included but was often slow and it didn't work on all of our devices. Staff were extremely friendly and the grounds were well kept. Meals were all good, particularly the Japanese Restaurant. We've stayed at the Palladium before and were not disappointed with this trip.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Tired resort

We arrived at around 12 noon and checked in but could not get a room till 3, unless you wanted to pay extra, The Wi Fi is extra and is only good for one device, the safe was extra, I would rather pay more for the trip instead of all the extra fees. The food in the buffet was very good, The resort is clean and very safe just old and tired.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: amazing getaway

Hotel is big but lots to do. Carts on the hotel take you from building to building. Great for kids. My daughter is 2.5 and she had tones to do from the beach, kids pool and kids club. Second time back and would definelty recommend this hotel.

Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata: Nice place !

Nice place to stay in family or with friends. Clean and cosy, every body is polite and smily, Good animation staff young and very energetic that they share during the day and at night show, special congratulations for the show fire and water! The

Occidental Punta Cana: Absolutly great place

Grounds beautiful, rooms very clean. Food was excellent quality and variety was good. Beach was awesom. Lots of chairs at the beach and the pool area was excellent for all ages. Would go back againfor sure:)

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Exceeded our expectations

This was a fantastic resort for families. Lots to do on site if you don't want to spend the extra $$ to do excursions. Water park awesome, pool even better, beach beautiful. and the grounds gorgeous. It was a pleasure just to walk around! While this is a huge resort, we never had trouble getting a pool side or beach chairs for 5 of us!. Ample sun and shade for all. Monkeys, lizards, birds, snakes. These pictures can then be purchased if you want.

Riu Merengue: Had a great trip !

The resort and beach were very clean, rooms were always taken care of. However we had no hot water during our last two days there. The food was good but got very redundant, there was never a change in selection from day to day. The daily and nightly entertainment was okay, Ive seen better, and Ive also seen worse. the beach was okay, alot of seaweed, but still enjoyable. Service at the bars was great, however all bars on our resort closed at 11, and we had to walk 10 minutes to Riu Bachata, in o [... read more]rder to get 24 hour bar service. Overall, we had a great stay at Riu Merengue but I would never stay there again. We made the best out of what we had.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Beautiful resort !!!

I loved everything about the resort except the food. The VIP upgrade was a good decision as this gave us access to all bars which had premium liquor and to a snack bar and our own supply of towels.The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the staff (Ramiro and Irwin)in the VIP area. The resort had lots of fun activities. 0veral very good but there really needs to be improvement in the food category ! We ate lots of fruit !!!

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: beautiful resort

grounds are lovely and well kept. the beach is beautiful but there were not enough beach chairs . the dining was excellent and the service was excellent. Junior Sanchez and Ysabel Payano of the Gourmet resto were very welcoming and knowledgeable. not enough pools.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Good hotel, room view terrible

Overall the hotel was great. Very disappointed spending the amount of money we did and was put in a room facing a green fence and hearing the workers driving and walking down the lane by the green fenced all the time day and night.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Average vacation destination

The resort was nice, the rooms a bit dated and could use a refresher. The food wasn't the greatest and we had to ask for things they kept running out of like bacon, syrup, etc. The service was average and nothing outstanding. There was the odd person who appeared to really enjoy their work but for the most part, nothing special. The worst part was the constant badgering to "come to their meeting and recieve a free gift" which was all about time share type deals. These people were everywhere in t [... read more]he resort and always on your heels. I could see asking once, maybe twice and they should only be allowed in a certain area, not throughout the resort. We actually had to be rude a few times to get these people to leave us alone. The beach had a lot of seaweed and swimming was not enjoyable. Thank goodness for the free alcoholic drinks!

Occidental Punta Cana: Nice Hotel

Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous lobby and stunning pools. The grounds were well manicured and clean. Close to many attractions, hotel provided daily excursions to enjoy. Service by hotel staff was impeccable.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Good resort some good staff good food couldn't ge

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: A great vacation

My wife and I took this trip with another couple and I can say it was well worth the money, great service, great food, no reservations in the premium restrunts, lots of tiki huts on the beach to relax under, even had amazing bar service right on the beach, nothing but relaxation. You have to check out the private Cabana's in the pool area, for a little over a hundred dollars a day you can have a great place to relax with premium service, one cabana was plenty of room for two couples, bar fridge, [... read more] food, and bar service are brought right to the Cabana. The best part about these cabanas are the service staff working them, if you decide to get the Caban or even if you want a tour of them and the services offered ask for Algenis and/or Junior, these two guys really went out of there way to make our vacation a memorable one. A couple things that could use attention would be: - Bars running out of some fruits and liquors so some drinks weren't available all the time - The resort should invest in some sort of tractor or other device for raking the beach, the staf on the beach tried to keep up but there was allot of sea weed. - The "meeting" that they wanted to have was some sort of vacation resort time share setup, they convinced us to go with a $75 voucher for 90min of our time, it took almost 2 hours. I don't think this was anything to do with the resort, more of a private company offer.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: A Good Vacation

This was our first trip to Punta Cana. Overall, we had a good time and the resort is lovely. I thought we were booking into a smaller resort, but found out that there are actually three Iberostar resorts side-by-side, so all in all it's a huge complex and very busy with lots of people. A fair bit of walking is required to get around to all sections/restaurants. Sandy beach was very nice and long, good for long beach walks. At the end of Feb/early March it was very windy at the beach and water wa [... read more]s very rough. Only a few people actually ventured in to the water as a result. But the pools were protected enough that the wind was not a problem. Pools are very nice but the water was cold, not heated. Both the beach and pool areas have plenty of palapas for shade, but they are taken early, so you do have to get there early to get a lounger in the shade (after 10:00 you'd have a hard time finding two loungers together). Overall the food was adequate. I thought the buffets were pretty good, but none of the specialty restaurants were great, they were mostly just adequate ... if I had to choose, I'd say the Mexican restaurant was the best of the bunch. We stayed in a junior suite which was a little more expensive than the standard rooms and situated in a building close to lobby, bar, theatre and buffet restaurant. The standard rooms are situated in two buildings close to the pool and beach and a beach buffet restaurant, but a little walk from the lobby, etc. With the junior suite you are a 'club' member and are supposed to get a number of upgrades. When we checked in we received none of those and we had to ask several times to get most of those upgrades but we never did receive the nightly turn-down service (not that we cared that much). One of the 'club' upgrades was one hour per person/day wifi which normally costs $3.00/hour. All in all, a good vacation and I'd recommend the resort, but I'd personally try a different resort if I visited Punta Cana again.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Our 3rd time there and I know we will be back!!!

We were at the Majestic the week of Feb 21 to 28..and what a wonderful week it was! Our friends went for 10 days and we met up with them there. This is a CLEAN resort! the bathrooms by the beach are always being cleaned! That is a big deal - at least to me! To start Robertson made sure that we had a room next to our friends which doesn't always happen. Breakfast was always at the buffet where we were greated by Paola Diane who always had a big smile and hug for us in the morning. There were always chairs available but we usually went to the beach early to make sure we got the space we wanted. The beach is beautiful and goes on for miles and miles! It is a popular wedding location and we usually saw a wedding every day.Lunch was always at the buffet at the beach and there was always a lot of choice. We ate supper at he Mexican restaurant twice - I think that was our favorite. The Chinese was great! the Steak house was down by the beach and no matter what you had there you had to enjoy it just for the atmsophere. Did not do much of the night life - by the time we had supper we were usually ready to santer back to the room and relax. The rooms were perfect - I would recommed the swim up room. After the day at the beach we would relax by the pool and wander up to the pool bar for a couple of drinks before getting ready for supper. There was a couple of shops to wonder around in for someting to do...We didn't have any children with us but there seemed to be a lot of families there. All in all the people are amazing...the staff are friendly and really do care that you are enjoying yourself. I would definately recommend this resort to eanyone who wanted a worry free holiday!

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Amazing Resort !

Alex and his entire animation team were amazing ! Never a dull moment, always had you smiling! The food, service, including , and especially the house cleaning team (Rooms) were second to none. And the view.... Absolutely breathtaking. We will be back for a third visit.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great resort!

The hotel was very nice, clean and the people that worked here are amazing! The a la carte restaurants were fantastic!! We ate at them all, and enjoyed every meal. The room was spacious, and the cleaning staff did an excellent job. We would love to go back again!!! We even had friends staying locally come to spend the evening with us.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Awesome Beach!

The resort grounds were well manicured. The food offered at the buffets was very good; steak at the Rodeo Steakhouse was great; our meals at the Italian restaurant was good - the dessert was delicious. We quite enjoyed the beach as there was a constant wind to keep the temperature down but still able to enjoy the sun/shade. Staff was friendly. Our only disappointment was the nightly entertainment - just not our style.
