Sunscape Puerto Plata: GREAT RESORT WELL SETUP
It was a last minute decision to visit this resort. Grounds, pools, food, beach, staff, public places all awesome.for us, the rooms were dated but if you spend much time in them, you are not on vacation. sunshine :) Tks;Tripcentral
VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Amazing Resort
Very clean, good food, staff were very nice. Loved my room view of the pool and ocean Specialty Restaurants awesome Octopus one was great. Would go back for sure. Mixed age group Good for families and older people. No disco so if your looking for night life after midnight not the place to go. Close to the airport so you don't have a long drive to get there after travelling.
Cayo Levantado Resort: Paradise !
Amazing location! Gardens and beaches are very beautiful. Villas more than meet your expectations. An abundance of good food choices. Always friendly service with a can do attitude. Quiet and relaxing. Simply paradise.
Grand Palladium Palace: Great resort!
Abundance of foods to choose from. Friendly and hard working staff! Nice lobby, accommodations, and beautiful beach! The massage on the beach was terrific! Things that could be improved: don't allow vendors to harass guests into buying their products. Too aggressive! Evening entertainment could have been better. Some of the male waiters frequently made animal sounds around the tables when serving drinks. Doesn't appear professional. All in all it was a great experience and we would recommend t [... read more]
Punta Cana Princess: Wonderful resort
Punta Cana princess was wonderful. Great service, everyone is very friendly. Rooms and resort were very clean. Food was good. Love the no reservation rule.Had an amazing trip and would defiantly go back.
Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach: Very nice
The resort itself was beautiful, well maintained and a pleasure to stay at. The staff were very helpful when the airline lost my luggage and were the primary reason that I was able to recover it while at the resort! Thanks for the great memories!
Occidental Caribe: It was an ok resort
Well it sure had its ups and downs. The downs being the water was hardly working in our room so we couldn't flush the toilet or shower, and I found some of the employees really not friendly. Also I didn't find that the entertainment staff tried to get people involved as much as they could have. The beach was lovely and the pool was nice.
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: 600 university students staying at GBP Punta Cana
We stayed in the Royal Golden Club of the GBP Punta Cana. The GBP is a resort that has 5 smaller resorts combined into one big resort. There is a total guest capacity of 5000 people. The size of the resort worked well for our family as we could chose to walk or take a trolley - the trolleys were constantly running and there was very little time to wait for one. The beach was a typical Punta Cana beach, although there were few chairs available in the shade. The pools were nice, we preferred the ' [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Don't pay extra to go there
definitely not a 5 star as service was the pits. Grounds were nice, buffet good but had nothing but issues. Went to Cuba last year and found the people spoke much better English than DR xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: good resort!
Pretty good resort! Entertainment its great, food gets boring, restaurants are average. The beach seems to be nice. Lots of people and lots of chairs. Be sure to wake up early to get a spot at the pool, people tend to place there "towel" on chairs to save them as early as 6 am
Blau Natura Park Resort: The 'new' number one World Resort

Paradise Playa Dorada: Best Week Ever
I went with a bunch of friends (university students) for February reading week and it was a blast! It was a great place to go to meet other young people (though there were also families and retired individuals around as well). The food was delicious (especially the fried chicken)! The drinks were also well made and very strong. The beach was beautiful (I noticed walking down to other resorts they had more stuff washing up on their beach). The hotel staff were professional and friendly. The rooms [... read more]
Paradise Playa Dorada: Fun Times
The resort is a great place for university students to go to. The food was great, drinks were strong, and there were a ton of other university students there during the February reading week. The workers at the hotel were all super friendly and made an effort to get to know your name and give you a high five when they saw you. They also went out of their way to provide great service. Overall, I had a blast with my group of friends and made a ton of new friends as well!
Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Good Value for the money
Nice gardens, similar to other Bahia Principe hotels I've stayed at. Nice long beach, due to the layout of the complex. Instead of the buildings running from the beach to deep inland, it is spread out widely along the shore with only 4 or 5 bungalows deep. The beach is longer than it is wide, with lounges spread from one end of the complex to the other. But the water is murky (probably due to the wave breakers they have in place). Food was great and the Mediterranean restaurant was amazing! Servi [... read more]
Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Diamond disappointment
We originally arrived at the airport at 6:00 am to be told our 9:00 am flight has been delayed until 3:15pm. We could not leave as we had just paid $100.00 for a week of parking and were told there are no in and out privileges, and SunWing would not reimburse us for parking if we left and came back. We were each given a $15.00 meal voucher. This didn't even cover our airport breakfast. At 12:00 we were forced to go through security after the ticket agent ensured/promised us that the flight woul [... read more]
Sunscape Puerto Plata: Wonderful - IF you stay on the resort
Barcelo Puerto Plata was a beautifully clean, well managed resort. The rooms were clean and large. Mini bar really means pop and water, but if you wanted alcohol it was never very far away. Live entertainment every night was fun and entertaining. The 2 pools closed at 6:00 pm would have been nice to go for a evening dip but we understood about the safety factor. Truly the only thing and probably the biggest thing that will make me NEVER want to go back was the overly zealous in your face, don't [... read more]
Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Fantastic
Big resort but you don,t notice it as it is so well planned. Everything flows so well. Loved it. Would not hesitate to go back. Beach is beautiful. Right in front of sunken ship. Beware of time share people though.
Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Great Resort - we would go back
Hotel is close to the airport. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, well groomed grounds. Service at the bars/restaurants was quick, food was great with lots of variety at the buffet, as well as plenty of restaurants to choose from. Make your dinner reservations for the week as soon as you get in to get better choice of seating time. Evening shows at either resort were very entertaining. We stayed at the adults only resort, but both pools were extremely busy so we were on the beach ever [... read more]
Punta Cana Princess: beautiful resort
the resort was not only beautiful it was kept very clean and the staff are all very friendly people. we could not believ how well the resort was kept so clean and the grounds how well kept they were.the rooms were beautiful also. luv,luv loved it .:)
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Very Nice Resort
We went in early Feb. peak time, hadn't been to a resort at this time before. Lots of staff & very attentive to your needs, except the Resort was HUGE we got dropped off in our villa, they didn't take the time to tell us which trolly to get on, so we got lost that night & felt like we walked 10 miles. And the next morning was orientation & we got on the wrong trolly so got lost again & missed the orientation, oh & no map. We spent the whole week helping many people who were lost. We really enjoy [... read more]
