Playa Costa Verde: Great resort

Great place to get away just came back from an 8 day vacation stayed from April 7th to the 15th had a great time food was great beds where comfy everything was kept cleaned. The only thing i didnt like was the beach it was to rocky for me but that really didnt bother me the pool was great i would differently go back.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Beautiful resort

Paradisus Rio De Oro: First class resort

We recently went to Cuba for my wife’s birthday. This resort is by far one of the best we have ever stayed at. The rooms very clean and the service was top notch. After the first day we decided that we would return again and again. For Cuba this is a 5 star resort. The staff cater to your every need. I would highly recommend Paradisus Rio De Oro

Brisas Guardalavaca: Amazing

I loved everything about this resort!!!! The location was stunning, the beach was beautiful, the pools were fantastic and the food was soooo good!!!! If you want a great place to stay where you feel welcomed and spoiled than this is the place to go!!!! Lots of food choices and so many different bars to experience!!! Do not hesitate....Book now!!!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: A Slice of Cuba

This was my 9th stay at Club Amigo. I return because of the Cuban friends I have made here and the general laid back atmosphere. I went a week later this time and it should be renamed Club Comrade due to the high number of Russian tourists. No real problems with them at all..they just looked glum all the time! The water and sand are another reason I return...the food and rooms are only 3 star but thats fine with me..I bring lots of my own food and a good pillow. Playa Costa Verde: Nice Resort

The beach was beautiful and very relaxing. The grounds were well kept and everything was very clean including the rooms, restaurants, public washrooms and the lobby. The food choices were always the same not much variety! Liked the fried rice station but never any protein choice.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Truly a 5 star experience

We booked Royal Service and the "Royal" experience starts the minute you exit the airport, you have your own private car waiting, and after a long flight, just that one small detail makes it worth it. The hotel itself is great, and everyone on staff really will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. Your butler will make all your reservations at the a la carte restaurants for you, as well as mak [... read more]e sure you have whatever you need in your room, beer, wine, cava, rum, etc. The fare in the restaurants is above average for Cuba, and the bars have a good selection of brand name and premium liqueurs. The property is very well kept, with a great variety of flowering bushes, palm and other trees. The beach has plenty of palapas so finding a spot in the shade or sun is never an issue. All in all this resort pays attention to every detail and it makes the whole vacation experience truly relaxing.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Excellent resort

Grounds were kept very clean can see improvements in many places that needed up gradeing have been to this resort several times and will return food was good. Front desk needs to be more organized check out and in areas should be labeled.Arrivals and departures should be stagared .old reception area should also be used so there is less crouding

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Loved this resort!

We travel every year but this was our first time at fiesta Americana Holguin. This resort was amazing! The food was so flavourful and the amount of food and choices was amazing! The restaurants go way above and beyond! The pools were clean n beautiful, the resort was clean, the grounds were breath taking! We are already planning another trip there and have a couple other couples coming with us this time! We look forward to going back!

Brisas Guardalavaca: Enjoyable but Some Issues

This was our 5th time here. We love the location, staff are great, grounds are lovely and well maintained,ground level room was convenient, comfortable and the shaded patio was lovely. We had a wonderful housekeeper, Evia . However,the food and beverages were not up to the standard of past visits. No pizza after 2 days ,no pork though it was on the menus,no coffee liquor, beer appeared weak,soups were not as good as in the past. We were disappointed in our meals. Lots of bars ,places to eat  [... read more]and nice walks to be taken . Beach was great. We enjoyed the little Trolley tour from the hotel into the countryside. The wonderful staff make the hotel feel welcoming . It would be nice if the return trip was not as tiring with 3 plane loads of tourists arriving at the same time to depart for home . The waiting in line is exhausting and we felt the Air Transat agent for our line was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. There were problems with some passengers documents and he took forever to,sort them out with nary a smile or acknowledgement of the people he was serving .

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Beautiful beach!

Great resort. We requested a room on the Luna side, which is quiet. Our room was in building 6. Down the stairs and around the pool was the 24 hour snack bar where I picked up a cappuccino every morning. The snack bar also served breakfast. The menu included eggs, bacon toast and pastries. The service was excellent. The beach was beautiful. Only 2 resorts on this beach.Great snorkeling...if you walk up to the other resort you can drift down the beach along the reef to the Luna. Lots of fish t [... read more]o see. The rooms were old but clean. My only complaint was the pillows. Very flat and uncomfortable. When I return I'll take one with me. Activities are listed in the Mares lobby. Everyday Roberto has some type of a excursion. My daughter and I went riding at the stables across the road and on another we went on a short hike through the community. Roberto is excellent at his job!

Brisas Guardalavaca: Not happy, not a complainer....however

Third time visitor at this hotel, 10th time in Cuba and i have to say this was the worst. Get to our villa and right off the top we smell sewer, the toilet is plugged, air conditioner not working and neither is the fridge. 1 bottle of water in a musty fridge that was warm. Toilet was fixed but no attempt whatsoever to repair fridge or air conditioner. Requested a move, took us to a room that smelled like it had been closed up for somerime. My throat and chest instantly closed up. I even tried sp [... read more]raying a scent to mask it....nope back to front desk where they proceeded to say no rooms left. So back to original room as at least i could breath in it and there was no white fuzz on the walls from dampness or flooding. I found an unusual amount of the staff miserable and not very helpful. Maid wouldnt replace water, we now had to pay for water once first bottle was done. Or get refills at bar, of which did not taste good. I specifically look forwaard to the coffee in Cuba and couldnt get a decent one until the last day. Not sure why Ive never had problems in past. Wont be going back to Brisas.

Sol Turquesa Beach: First time in Cuba, many more to come !!

The entire stay was amazing! Only thing that could use some work Is the food. Pools were awesome , minus the time the filters kicked out. If this resort had more maintenance staff and just more staff in general it could really thrive as a resort people would want to come back to time after time!

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Best Holiday ever

Was my first visit since the changeover to fiesta Americana and I was not disappoint Ed. The food was amazing and alot of the same wonderful staff. I see changes for the better every time I come back. The beach was amazing. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean. Can't wait too come back

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: The Place To Be

This was my third trip to Cuba but I would rate as my best. Everything at the resort was top notch. The wow factor had to be the snorkeling.......absolutely amazing and readily accessible to all who would like to try. The food was pretty good......always something for someone...... Peaceful and relaxing.....this resort is worth looking at if you are considering a Cuban getaway...

Sol Turquesa Beach: scarry and NOT MUCH SECURITY for this resort/

the resort was nice, too many stairs we counted over 93 to get down to beach area.. BEACH WAS NOT NICE TOO MANY WEEDS .. U COULD WALK UP TO UR KNEES AND THATS IT................. pools on different levels, NOT RECOMENDED FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE TROUBLE WITH STAIRS... food was ok, SECURITY WAS POOR, we had people trying to get into our room 3 nights in a row,, the last 3 nights we were there WEDNESDAY APRIL 3.. 2019 AT 2;00 AM SOME ONE TRYED GETTING INTO OUR ROOM THERE WA [... read more]S NO SECURITY my friend i sat up starring at the door, they eventualy left THURSDAY APRIL 4TH, 2019 AT 11;00 PM SOME ONE TRYED GETTING INTO OUR ROOM AGAIN MY FRIENDS AND I JUMPED OUT OF BED TURNED ON ALL THE LIGHT .. WE EVENTUALLY SLEPT BUT NOT WELL we complained to front desk and customer relations they laughed and sAid it must be water boy, we said at 2;00 am and 11;00 at night no way they said they would post security out side our room that night on friday UNFORTUNATLY AGAIN ON FRIDAY NIGHT AT 11;00 PM 2 MEN TRYED ENTERING OUT ROOM WE HAD OUR LARGE TABLE PUSHED UP AGAINST THE DOOR WITH TV ETC.... THEY GOT IN AND PUSHED TABLE OUT 4 INCHES ,, THE TABLE SCREECHED AND WE JUMPED UP SCREAMING I CALLED FRONT DESK YELLING HELP 3 TIMES THEY SAID SCECURITY IS ON WAY . OUR ROOM WAS RIGHT NEXT TO LOBY NO ONE CAME 7 MINUTES LATER WE CALLED BACK AND ASKED FOR SECURITY TO COME NO ONE CAME,, I TRYED CALLING BACK TO LOBBE 3 MORE TIMES AFTER THAT AND NO ANSWER I CONTACTED MY DAUGHTER HERE IN CANADA AND TOLD HER IF WE END UP DEAD,, HERE IS THE INFO OUR ROOM. OUR RESORT, THE TIMES WE CALLED FRONT DESK AND THEY SAID SECURITY IS ON THERE WAY BUT NO ONE CAME HALF OUR LATER I CALLED BACK TO FRONT DESK SCREAMING FOR THEM TO COME AND GET US NOW AND BRING US TO LOBY THEY MAN THAT ANSWERED SAID... WHY..... I HAD TO SAY DID NOT ANYONE TELL U WHATS HEAPPENED OMG... SOME ONE GOT INTO OUR ROOM ITS THE 3RD TIME IN A ROW SOME ONE TRYED GETING INTO OUR ROOM AND THE 3RD TIME THEY DID GET IN WE WERE CRYING AND SHAKING ABOUT 25 TO 12;00 2 MEN FROM LOBY CAME TO OUR DOOR LAUGHING TELLING US NO WORRY CUBA IS SAFE WE CAN STAY IN OUR ROOM THEY WILL ASIGN SECURITY WE SAID WE HAD COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS A HAPPENING A 3RD NIGHT IN A ROW, they said nothing had been documented and no security was asigned out side our room the office staff thought this was pretty funny we said NO were not staying in this room take us to loby were staying there for night AS WE HAD TO BE UP FOR 5;00 AM TO EAT AND CATCH BUS BUS TO AIRPORT.. THEY SAID GET OUR STUFF TOGETHER AND THEY WILL BE BACK IN 5 MINUTES 1/2 HOUR LATER SOME ONE CAME BACK AS WE CALLED FRONT DESK AGAIN AS TO WERE THEY WERE THEY SAID 5 MINUTES THEY CAME BACK AND SAID THERE TAKING US TO ANOTHER ROOM WE SAID NO WAY TAKE US TO LOBBY SO WE STAYED IN LOBY FOR THE REST OF NIGHT NOT SLEEPING THEY TOLD US THE FRONT DESK AND BAR THAT WAS OPEN 24 HOURS WILL LOOK AFTER US BUT WHEN THEY LOOKED AT US THEY LAUGHED AS THOUGH IT WAS FUNNY WE WERE TERRIFIED NO ONE DONE ANYTHING BOUT THIS IF 2 WOMEN ARE TRAVELING ALONE MAKE SURE U PUT UR DRESSER UP AGAINST UR DOOR AND ANYTHING HEAVY JUST IN CASE MAKE SURE U HAVE A PLAN IN CASE ANY OF THIS HAPPENS TO U WE DO NOT RECOMEND THIS RESORT,, the room they gave us had a damaged door held a piece of wood in with 2 pieces duct tape THE PEOPLE IN MAIN RESTAURENTS AND A LA CARTES THERE WERE AMAZING, VERY NICE AND KIND...

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Great snorkeling

Hotel in general was nice but was very large. Be prepared to walk a lot either to the beach or the buffet if staying in the updated section. There are no golf carts to take guests around the grounds and you must drag all your luggage up 3-4 flights if staying at an ocean view room. The food was always cold even when just brought out and the buffet and the a la carts were not much better. The buffet was basically the same thing every day.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Outstanding beach

The resort bedrooms are a little dated. But everything is very clean and well cared for. I loved the layout of the two resorts merged into one. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The mini club was great! But the number one part of this resort is the beach, it is spectacular. Would go again for sure.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Amazingly/Friendly resort

Superb .Staff always upbeat and work very hard to make your stay memorable.Front desk staff are friendly and helpful and bank is conveniently located in lobby.Entertainment is excellent for adults and kids.Already planning next visit.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Somewhat disappointed

My first impression of the resort was that it looked a bit dated. The lobby was clean and looked comfortable. Check in went smoothly and we were taken to our room. The room smelled musty and the bell boy turned on the air conditioning and helped expained things to us. We then changed so we could get to the buffet for lunch then hit the pool. When we got back to our room, it was still very warm. After dealing with the front desk multiple times, they sent a technician who tried to tell us it  [... read more]was working fine. We then asked to be moved to another room and then ended up walking to the lobby. After waiting over half an hour we finally got to speak to Marcos the customer service manager who managed to get us into another room. We thought that everything was good to go. We got ready and went to dinner. When we went back to our room, the key card did not work. We had to walk back to the lobby and get our cards re- progamed. We got a ride back to the room and had the driver wait to see if we were able to get in. It still did not work. We then had to wait for a technician to come and help. Marcos was great and had a bottle of champagne sent to our room. The rest of the week went pretty smoothly. The food was ok, got a bit repetitive but we made the most of it. The weather was great and we were having a good time. On the last day after spending the afternoon at the pool, we went back to the room and the key card did not work. We managed to find someone to call the front desk for us. After waiting a while, my husband walked back to the lobby. By the time he got back and we got in our room it was over an hour. I was very upset as this was our last night and we hoped to go to the beach and watch the sunset. We talked to many other people who also had this problem. I love Cuba but I wouldn't go back to the Memories Holguin
