Riu Flamingos: Wonderful place

The hotel not bad ,when we book in Tripp central they told us we don't need to reserve for fine dining restaurant but we went toItalian restaurant ,and the hostess told us we wait for an hour in order for s to eat but it looks like we need to reserve earlier In. order for us to eat.We are so hungry so we go to steak restaurant and its close again we try the Chinese also close we end up eating in the buffet.Ivan the manager of the restaurant is very helpful he resolve our problem .the next  [... read more]day he sure we can try the Italian restaurant and the Steak restaurant too .we stayed at Iberostar in Cancun couple of times with the family but the Riu Jalisco is one of our favorite we definitlely go back because of the best atmosphere and the employee very polite especially Ivan and Barbara the waitress in buffet .

Las Palmas by the Sea: FUN RESORT!

Las Palmas by the Sea in Puerto Vallarta would be classified as a 2 or 3 star. It is very old with no apparent updates and the hallways echo a lot of noise. However, it is remarkably clean, very authentic Mexican style and the staff are amazing. The pools and hot tub are great and well kept. It is not the cleanest ocean area I have seen but you could still sit in the loungers on the beach and swim when the waves aren't too strong. Great place for meeting people and going on excursions as it [... read more] is a 15 minute bus ride or a quick and inexpensive taxi ride to downtown Puerto Vallarta and 1 to 2 hours from any other town you might like to explore. Also close to airport, marinas, malls, casinos, etc. There was plenty of food but I had mixed feelings about it. No nachos, guacamole or salsa and a lot of authentic family foods that I didn't really like. However, there is a hot dog, hamburger and fries stand open all day. I would go back again but I would see if I could afford a 4 or 5 star resort first.

Crown Paradise Golden: Great resort

The resort was clean, on the beach, food was good, staff was friendly, and lots to keep you busy. We enjoyed our stay and would love to go back. We could easily access a taxi from the hotel to any destination for a reasonable price. We enjoyed the privacy of the adults only. The spa was wonderful but a little pricey.

Riu Flamingos: Great vacay with teens, I KNOW!

Taking two 16 year old boys with us to the RIU I was a little unsure that there would be enough for them to do but Nicole’s suggestion of this hotel was the right one. I was considering another hotel but she thought this one would be better for us. She was so right! The boys had a blast playing beach volleyball, waterpolo, boogie boarding and hanging with other kids they met through the week. The food was really good at the buffet and it changed daily. We did not get the rooms we requested but one call and they made it right. We also had air conditioner issues but the hotel fixed it promptly. Rooms are average looking but very clean and fairly well maintained. The only thing I truly hated was the bedding. They use a protective mattress cover that is so plastic that you feel like you are in a toddlers bed and it makes for a very sweaty and uncomfortable sleep. We stayed during spring break so it was very busy and you had to get up early to get a good spot at the pool but there were also spots on the beach. Kudos to the bar staff who work so hard, as well as the restaurant staff and housekeeping, all staff were excellent at the RIU. The lineup at the Sunwing airport check in at Yyc was horrendous and took almost an hour to get through. Surprisingly the checking in Puerto Vallarta for the flight home was only ten minutes, so very efficient. The flights were pretty good for a charter and I would probably use sunwing again. For sure I will use Tripcentral again and specifically Nicole DeForest as she really tried to recommend the best place for us and turned down a higher commission to find us the right place, Thanks Nicole!

Samba Vallarta: Samba Vallarta

The images from the website were very deceiving compared to the actual resort. The resort was clean but REALLY RUNDOWN! There was always something in the buffet that all of us could eat but very Mexican styles of food for those fussy eaters - beware. There were no "time share" hasslers which was nice and it is a smaller resort with no line ups or fighting for beach or pool chairs which I also appreciated. Las Palmas by the Sea: Cute little Resort

We enjoyed our trip. Their was 6 of us and had a great time. A la Cartes (2) were utilized 5 nights out of 7, awesome food and staff. Nothing fancy but clean. Internet was down one full day which was a requirement for me.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Beautyful resort

Yes the resort was very beautiful well kept and clean the staff was very friendly the food was good and the weather also excellent .The only problem we did not liked that we have to pay paying for the safety box and it was to expensive other vise we liked very much

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Fantastic Resort

Hotel is a short 20 - 30 min drive from the airport. Greeted and checked-in fairly quickly. Initial room was loud the first night as we were directly around the corner on the main floor by the lobby. We ended up transferring to the Residences (sister resort) the following day. Beaches, pools, grounds, etc. are kept very clean. Pools can be busy, lots of children! Fantastic hotel. The service staff was excellent, as was the food (especially the Mexican dishes). We have food allergies in our family and the hotel was proactive and helpful to ensure that we didn't have any issues. The facilities were very well maintained and clean, and the beach was immaculate. As will happen in any resort, we experienced a couple of minor issues. The response was quick and focused. For example, the air conditioning in our room didn't functioning properly. The ho [... read more]tel sent service staff up immediately, and when they determined that the repair was going to take extra time, they gave us the option of moving to another room. We accepted, and they worked hard to make the process trouble-free for us. We would return without any hesitation.

It is very beautiful we had a good time staff was nice and help full the only think we did not like that we had to pay $ 30.00 dollar for the safety dep. box Because every other resort is free. We did not liked our room when we got there but the staff was very helpful and the next day we got vat we ask for

Secrets Vallarta Bay: great resort

Well organized and excellent staff Food was great the restaurants were great and the atmosphere of the hotel was excellent. The pool area very clean and appealing. The room was good and clean with a gorgeous view.

Samba Vallarta: Excellent Family Resort

This is a small resort that was perfect for us travelled with school age kids over spring break. All facilities and grounds kept immaculately clean. Staff were amazing. Beach sandy and safe for playing in the waves. Evening shows Mexican, Prehispanic, Circus, & Magic nights very entertaining. Would not be suitable for young adults wanting the party scene. Great beach for long walks. Lots of shade palapas on beach. Don't expect Caribbean blue water or huge brand new resort.

Riu Flamingos: Excellent resort!

From the stunning courtyard, fabulous food, clean rooms, friendly and efficient staff, beautiful pools, and uncrowded / breathtaking beach, I will recommend this resort over and over as well as visit again myself. Never have I had reception call (with perfect English) the room to make sure everything is to my liking, and again to follow up on a delivery request to confirm it arrived and was to my liking. 5 stars +++. Well done, Jalisco!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: royal decameron section 5

I all nice resort but some areas were very noise and lots of people. section 5 and 6 seemed the nicest. Lots of Canadian from British Columbia which was nice as they seemed very friendly. Would have liked better arrangement for reservations at restaurants than meeting at 8:00am in the morning.

Riu Flamingos: Great vacation

This resort was picturesque, beautifully kept grounds, clean. Food and drinks were very good. The Spanish coffees at the main buffet were amazing, as was the service. The beachfront was quite large with a great view of the mountains. The fridge in the room was always stocked with water, beer and pop which was a nice feature. The only issue we had was our ground floor room had a terrible smell at times (sewage) that seemed to be coming through the ventilation system so we would have to leave the [... read more] door open. There also weren’t any umbrellas on the beach for shade unless you wanted to pay 200 pesos per day! We thought the nightlife/entertainment would have been a bit better/ran later into the night, especially with a disco on the resort. Overall it was a good trip!

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Excellent resort

Beautiful rooms overlooking ocean. Very good restaurants and choices. Ability to open windows and turn off air-conditioning. Staff wonderful - kind and welcoming. I have no intention of entering 200 characters!

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Small resort lots of children

Time share presentation was very pushy and not an enjoyable experience, you are encouraged to go before you get the key to your room - what room you get is dependent on whether you attendwnt the presentation- we did not like this approach at all. Food good, too many children everywhere. To quite in the evening.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Great getaway

This resort had a lot to offer to all types of visitors. I joined my daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons, ages 10 and 7, who were on their school break, and we all enjoyed our stay. The staff, amenities, programmes, food, drinks, and of course, the beautiful Pacific, made for a wonderful time for all of us.

Crown Paradise Club: Great place

Great location. Clean. Lots of excursions to choose from around this area. Something for everyone. Glad we picked this resort.Lots of different activities for all ages groups all day long. Layout of resort was perfect.
