Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: good resort, average
- Food was good, drinks have lots of variety... only issue is that each morning you had to book your a la cartes by 7am for that night only..no sleeping in. - Entertainment was alright, better at meringue though. Repetitive. - Clean and welcoming resort, friendly staff. Rooms were good except bed was very hard and the tub/shower small. - Waterfall excursion was amazing :) - I would give this resort 3.75-4 star
Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: bahia pricipe ambar
Great hotel. Pool area and beaches excellent. Food was good. Japaneese restaurant was the best! Don pablo restaurant always booked. Best to reserve beforeyou go. Check in was fast and easy. Ground beautiful.resort is big. Good for strolling.
Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Excellent...but with a few letdowns...
I really liked the LGBPA..food was good, staff were awesome, layout was great. Though I was disappointed to see things like $28USD sunblock and $11USD Lays chips. Wifi was equally expensive...$50 for a week? Yeah I pay that a month in Canada, and this is the DR? Lots of little clawbacks...not my fave all-inclusive, but certainly still pretty good...
Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Place is HUGE! between a 3.5 or 4 star
I hope the owners and management teams read and take note. 5 star vs, 5 star. We visited the Royalton Resort last year around the same month in February and this year the Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda so writing a fair review on the Royalton last year was not really a fair option as I had not visited a comparable 5 star property resort. So I am doing both reviews together for you with the pros and cons of your resort. First I would like to thank everyone at the resort for the hospitality and [... read more]
Be Live Experience Hamaca Suites: disappointed, but tried to enjoy myself anyway
I was disappointed with our room. It had a very old shabby sofa, faded old wicker chair and two small beds. It is very different then the photos on the website. The service wasn't great. Food was probably the best part. Weather was great.
Be Live Experience Hamaca Suites: Beautiful location, terrible accomodations
Any place on the ocean is beautiful to me, but the Be Live Hotel in Boca Chica failed miserably. Out dated, run down, broken, with filthy rooms and smells. Food was always cold. Some of the "huts" and grounds were beautiful though. The staff did the best they could.
Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Great resort
Very clean and well-run. When the safe in our room wasn't working, a manager accompanied the maid while she was cleaning our room to make sure nothing was amiss (and the safe was fixed quickly after). For a resort, the food was surprisingly good -- especially the steak restaurant. In terms of entertainment, the Michael Jackson impersonator was one of the best I've ever seen, and the beach party was super fun.
Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Good resort for the money
The resort was clean, and the food was as good as we expected for the money. The beach was OK, although there was a day or two that there was some seaweed that came in with the tide, but since we don't really go into the water, it didn't bother us. Staff was friendly and most spoke good English.
Blue Bay Villas Doradas: That is not a 5 star and the pictures are badly
Never again ... I was totally disappointed the pictures on the site are misleading no furniture in the room like chair table bureau ...Food is so so well I think I have said what I think of this place
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Nice HUGE Resort-Vegas in the Caribean!!
This resort has almost 1800 rooms. It was sold out during our stay. Most staff are friendly. No dress code for dinners, which was terrific; however, wait times to get into restaurants were over an hour and to eat was even longer unless you went right when they opened. The grounds are very well kept.
Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Good
It is good but service still so so and maintance not good and there was a lot of grass on the beach, the pools are not clean very well and shallow but the food is perfect and fresh with soft drinks no jucies
Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Absolutist Amazing
This resort has everything you'll ever need. White powder beaches, pristine waters, great food and beautiful surroundings. The grounds are immaculate, pools are great and let's not forget those refreshing drinks! Staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is everything you've ever wanted. You will want for nothing! This resort has everything. All I can say is Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!
Caribe Deluxe Princess: nice beach and accommodation
the beach and its location is just amazing. The hotel and the friendly personnel is amazing. The only down side is that we have all been sick ank so are people that we have met on the resort (not sure if it`s just a fluc)
VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Good Family Vacation with 1.5 Year Old
We stayed here with our 1.5 year old from Feb 9th to 16th. Overall a good resort for a young family. It is not too big, clean and updated. It is not a big party resort and a quick drive from the airport. We spent most our time at the pool, our son loved that he could walk into the pool on his own. We did have to get out early to get chairs with an umbrella. Beach always seemed busy. We would only go play in the sand for small amount of time every few days. So I cannot comment to the chair and [... read more]
Punta Cana Princess: Excellent Resort
My wife and I stayed there for a week in February 2015. After doing a lot of research we decided upon the Punta Cana Princess, and were not disappointed. It is more a 4.5 star resort. The best meal we had was actually at the sister resort, the Caribe, at El Rodizzo.
JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Most welcoming resort!
The hotel as well as its location is beautiful; the people so wonderful I miss them like old friends! Sander, Ramon, Ortiz, Elizabeth, Ivelisse, Jensel ,Orlando, Diana, Victor, Romeo... Other than missing stir sticks for coffee in the morning, and nightlights on the balcony and bathroom that don't go off (so you close the door and blackout drapes...) the rooms were very comfortable. Food was plentiful and varied, if occasionally not as hot as it could be but then I have trouble keeping Christmas [... read more]
Sunscape Dominican Beach: Dominican beach
Rooms and hot water( lack of) need improvement. Paid 30$ US for the worst WiFi ever. 2 minuet walk and got excellent wifi for FREE. The pathways are a stamped concrete and hard to walk on. The English translation at buffet needs to be reviewed by someone fluent in English / Spanish.
Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: perfect holiday spot
excellent spot to relax. food and liquid refreshments great. beach cleaned every day and the water temperature in ocean warmer than air. the beach bar was our favourite place to have lunch. the staff was accommodating and knowledgeable
Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Worst food
This was our first time at this resort. Although I really enjoyed many things about the resort I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I'll start with mentioning the positive things I did like. Resort is truly beautiful, it's not too big and extremely clean. We paid for the upgraded package which gave us "better" food and alcohol as well as private services areas of the resort. Without that package the resort would have sucked. So again, beautiful and clean, mediocre services staff as most didn't sea [... read more]
Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Overall, a plesant stay . . .
The pool areas it was impossible to get a lounge chair by the pool. There was a lot of noisy people in the corridor at night, and the sound of slamming doors made it hard to sleep. It's too bad you can't drink the water . . .
