Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great Vacation

Our family of 3 enjoyed our trip to Royalton Riviera Cancun. Pros: Excellent service with Sunwing from the airport to the hotel, very quick and easy check in. Room was very nice, cleaned daily, air conditioning worked very well. Pools were not very busy, easy to get lounge chairs. Food was DELICIOUS! Excellent service and did not need to wait for a la cartes in the evening. Cons: Mattresses were firm (we are used to a soft mattress), could have provided more towels in the rooms, the beach  [... read more]was not the greatest (a lot of seaweed and water looked murky) and restaurants opened for lunch too late (this was only due to us travelling with our toddler and trying to follow her schedule, if we were on our own would not have been an issue). Beautiful resort overall and would definitely recommend to friends.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Favourite resort !

This is my second visit to this resort and I will be going back for a third. It is very easy to get to everything and because it is smaller you interact more with staff and guests. Great food and the staff can't do enough for you.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great resort!

Food was amazing, service was geat, well maintained with impecably groomed grounds. Stretching in the pool with "Angel" was amazingly therapeutic! Thank you again Grand bahia Principe Coba, for a great vacation!  

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Excellent value!!

The grounds, public areas, pools and rooms are kept very clean. All staff was very polite and helpful. The food and drinks are premium. Transportation among the different resorts available for your pleasure was always punctual and the staff was very helpful with directions. We would definitely revisit and recommend.

Riu Vallarta: More than Amazing Resort!

We liked everything! Luxury ACCOMMODATIONS, features the most luxurious hotel rooms! The location of the hotel and amenities are the best! You can escape to the natural tranquility, beauty, and comfort!

Ocean Maya Royale: Great Value

Ocean Maya Royale is a great resort with immaculant grounds, delicious restaurants, comfy rooms. The staff are all very attentive and ensure a great time is had by all. Any problems we had, such as being given a double room rather then a king (unfortunately not requested by our agent as we asked) was corrected ASAP! Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Relaxing Holiday

Just returned from a 1 week relaxing holiday in September. Check in was efficient with details of the resort offerings and map of the 4 resorts. We stayed in a Superior Junior Suite which was very spacious and clean. We dined only at the Sian Ka'an and Akumal buffets and Cenote Grill. The food was delicious with a large variety of choices with different themes each day. The grounds were always manicured and the flora and fauna were a delight to look at and listen to to. The exclusive Sian Ka'an beach section with drink service was beautiful and relaxing.

Grand Sunset Princess: Like Many Said While There- Never return

From the instance I arrived I had to change rooms, the view I was expressed I would have was depressing & why would a single person need a room with two queen beds and the jacuzzi on balcony was badly rusted, but the room it self were seemingly attractive , but after a little financial inspiration I was able to get moved to a room with not only one bigger bed, but more liquor. Now breakfast was kind of ok same for 9 days and not a large variety like some, but it may not have been the variety a [... read more]s much as not changing it up, now staff were mostly all nice but in the restaurants or buffets it seem like a contest to get the customer to sit in their section, I tipped my first server 7$ American when I asked if she would be my server for the next few days she said yes & I never seen her again, the host said she had booked off because doctor said she had flu Now the entire time almost all meals in buffet were same , after while you lost interest & no one tells anyone about cooking show , everyone I spoke to never heard about it I was blessed to over hear another talk about it, it was delightful . Another night I was suppose to attend the dinner with music entertainment, but it said no where on it Riviera , it had a long name many could not pronounce and several staff new nothing about the place, actually many new nothing about hardly any parts of resort, I ended up walking to the Riviera twice because staff and others would say you have to go to Riviera, in all new clothing , I walked to Riviera Hotel twice with staff there sending everywhere & the buffet at Riviera said it closed was no longer open The Platinum beach was farthest from Platinum area, walking was crazy , I lost 9 pounds there, everyone complained about walking & transportation. I mean honestly I would give the staff about the best review & I went with 1500$ American & never left resort went no excursions yet tipped nearly 1300$ American I gave real silver bracelets many name brand Running shoes near 600$ worth name brand new brand name shirts , shorts socks. Even one person working in lobby , said he had been robbed of wallet watch cell phone And I gave him my 175$ divers watch, The Platinum pool was small & non eventful not interesting cheap snacks, beds only on one side of pool so if sun is shining from one way no use using the bed, Sports Bar was nice but very bad that they had no control over what was watched and sent to a farther lobby just to ask if I could get World Cup Hockey on, but it was nice in there And Archery & children's play ground were in middle of nowhere and had no idea how to sign up for events or archery and I had to take a cab to Airport when the girl for Nexus assured I would get a room call & ride left at 6:50 & it was 5:50 and I tried to tell her my new room number but she assured me I would be located so I was in my room till 5:47 and no one called because I booked late check out for 6 so I could be ready for 6:50 and event sent my suitcase over at 11:15 AM to the main pick up lobby and while I sat in Platinum beach area while the bar was open & I was told I could wait and a server would come by I waited 1 hour 11 minutes for one drink and Chill was good for 10$ but for food it was not worth eating there and small menu, but out of all honesty I wish I could see the staff again but the amount of complaints I listen to seen and experienced it was not a very joyful place. I love the Mexican people will still go back, but not to that Hotel or Yucatan which I already wrote about & I don't even want to try Riviera and Photo Lab is complete rip off to people especially honey mooning people newly weds or just whoever they think they can rip off, many could not come close to affording to being taken ransom for our pictures. I bought there jump drive & I had 23 pictures & it would take 29 seconds to put them on the stick and they wanted 300 after I already paid 110 the day before for 9 and 5 pictures 6x8 and so many people had to just say no and that was sad I had tell them to keep 14 I could not be black mailed like that.. All in All I was disappointed for the cost and hype. Sorry again but truth hurts but truth is best..

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Awesome Resort!

This resort is very clean. The food was very good. If you like snorkeling it can be done right from the beach. You can swim with the dolphins at the resort. If you don't want to swim with Dolphins you can watch the show for free. The rooms are nice, the bed comfortable. The staff are awesome! My Air Transat was always available and very caring. We enjoyed a couples massage on the beach it was well worth it. This resort is built on a jungle and has some wildlife on site. The animals are friendly, [... read more] the signs say don't feed the animals. I recommend you don't feed the animals. For people who enjoy walking or running there are many trails.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Luxury!

This hotel was beautiful and luxurious. The grounds were extremely well kept and clean. The exotic flowers everywhere were so colourful and amazing. The beach was very well maintained and the sunrises were extraordinary. The restaurants were fabulous. The food everywhere was delicious and fresh.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Good resort

Good hotel food was good service was good a relaxing holiday relaxing time on the beach and pools went to town the last two days love the mall in the resort and the market mini golf didn't think you should have to pay for bowling and the water park the al- carts were very good

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Wonderful stay

Overall we were impressed with the resort. The grounds were well kept and impressive. The many varieties of restaurants were quite enjoyable. There was a beautiful beach that we could enjoy in a multitude of ways. The only thing I did find unsatisfactory is that the level of service from waitstaff varied greatly throughout our stay

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Great Property

The property is lovely and so are the staff. Rooms have some. Maintenance issues. Mood on the curtain at the sliding door. Sofa bed was too old and creaky for our grandchild to sleep on. No lock on balcony door. Jacuzzi tub sprayed water everywhere. One day the safe wouldn't open with our code. Selection in the shower fron shower head to hand held to spray jets was broken and one jet was missing. Make sure if you pay for dolphin pictures you pay at the time in US we were told $60 but when we wen [... read more]t tot reception to pay they wanted $73 US$. Many Coatis roam the grounds, also Iguanas. Isolated.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: beautiful resort

the dining experience was exeptional, our room was the junior jacuzzi suite and was clean and spacious... but the show stopper was the beach and pool area, the sand was groomed every morning and the water warm and lovely.

Riu Tequila: Simple vacation

Riu Tequila is a slightly older resort and it's age really presents in the accommodations. Not that the rooms were unbearable, because who's actually spending that much time in them anyways?, however the beds were very uncomfortable an made for long nights and early mornings. The location of this resort was great. It's tucked away in a gated community that really makes you feel safe. The beach can only be accessed through the sister hotel Riu Yucatan. The walk to the beach isn't too long (maybe  [... read more]10 mins) and is completely shaded. Worth noting that the gates to the walkway lock at 11:00 pm, so a night beach visit always required some quick runs back. The best part of Riu Tequila is the food. There are not many restaurants to choose from but what is available is always delicious, including the buffet. Staff are very friendly and willing to help in anyways possible. The resort grounds are nice. It has more of a forest type feel rather than a beach resort. There are many animals on the premise including cats and cootes!! The pool is very small and the pool bar was always crowded. However there is bar in the lunch area that is only a few steps away. The nightly entertainment was disappointing. Often it was shows filled with amateur dancers an very revealing outfits. The Yucatan seemed to have better entertainment. Daytime entertainment wasn't anything special either. Most people were at the beach during the day so there was not many groups of activities taking place. Although there always seemed to be a game of bingo going on. Overall the resort was satisfying and provided a relaxing vacation, although If you are beach people then I suggest staying at the Yucatan and saving yourself long walks after tired days.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Huge Super Clean Resort

Just me and my 2 boys (age 14 and 17) made the trip.The rooms where very clean and nice .They had a cot/bed all set up when we got there so we each had our oun bed.Room service was amazing. The resort is Huge.We only saw about half of it.Really easy to get loungers at the beach anytime of the day.The snorkelling was great right off the beach. Adhara Hacienda Cancun: luxury at affordable prices

adhara was a very peacefull, quiet,clean and friendly place to stay on our vacation. Spacious room, helpful staff, ground security, large pool to relax in, great amenities and not too far from the airport or bus station. only a couple of draw backs for me was lack of movie channels or just more selection and not being allowed to bring food or drinks from outside the hotel to your room.

Riu Palace Peninsula: Amazing resort!!

I went there for my honeymoon and I loved every minute of it. I have been to all the RIU'S in cancun without any doubt this is the best one it's only 5 minutes away from the cancun strip and you have access to all the other rius. Beautiful resort, Great food, great service!!

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Amazing quick vacation

We went to now sapphire for 3 nights 4 days and had a great time ! Huge pool and excellent service . Food was good ! Overall my first impression of Mexico was amazing and I would recommend going here to anyone that was looking for a great destination

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great food

This was honestly the most beautiful all inclusive resort I've been to. Food is better quality than the keg. Even the buffet as everyone else says is unreal. They have every thing except for lobster, crab and scallops which is understanding. The cooks at te buffet will cook anything for you fresh from prawns to steak chicken lamb duck tuna steaks... I got the petit fillet but have choice of cut u want. Beach grill ( Caribbean) open for lunch and dinner. Loved the clam chowder for lunch but who eats soup in Mexico right? Me my goodness was it flavorful and the clams were so fresh and tender. You could get a lobster there for Lunch at an extra charge but get this, you get a lobster tail for FREE at dinner as its on the menu. That made my trip right there. Italian restaurant great menu as well beef tenderloin calamari, wood stove oven pIzza. I mean even the sports bar had great food . Can't say anything bad about the food and if you can you're way too picky. Even if u did have a bad experience at a restaurant go to the buffet after and satisfy for you're belly. The beach, ya some days it was more beautiful than others and yes there is some seaweed but not much and it's white sand has palm trees and an infinite lookout into the horizon. Plus servers come out to your lounge and get you drinks. What more could ask for. Bars everywhere except for maybe near kids pool but that being for a good reason.the have medelo, corona and deixsecies? On tap and all the liquor were premium. Unreal
