Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Amazing resort and vacation

Overall a great resort vacation from the flight, hotel transfers and the resort itself. More than enough things to do and see at the resort for adults and kids. My son loved the kids club program. The dive shop at the resort was a bonus for getting in some great diving. The a la carte restaurants were great and food selection and quality was also great at the buffet restaurants. Pool choices were plentiful, and staff were very accommodating to help out. The resort is also fairly close to t [... read more]he airport so the bus ride is not long once you arrive. El Dorado Royale: Amazing honeymoon retreat

Beautiful resort, Loved every second of the beach, pools bars, and restaurants. Staff were so pleasant and willing to accommodate you in anyway they can. Food was phenomenal and exceeded our expectations. Our room was gorgeous although a/c was very hard to regulate and we were on the top floor so next time I think we'd prefer a ground floor room.Just a couple complaints, the first one while 24 hrs room service sounds great in theory we were very disappointed on the length of time it took to get  [... read more]it. It took 2 hrs for us to get a cheese plate and fruit platter. We also tried to order room service for lunch one day and I was on hold for 30 min and never go anyone to place our order. While most restaurants are always accessible it would have been nice to enjoy room service in our rooms. The second complaint I had was we were not informed by anyone at the hotel that our shuttle pickup and flight times had changed. We spent an hr waiting in the hotel lobby and asked a few people until finally we found out our flight was delayed their for so was our pick up time. It would have been nice to have known so we would have planned to not check out and enjoy more beach time. Neither of these things ruined our trip by any means and we would definitely come back to this hotel. A Paradise Oasis for us it was!

Canto Del Sol: very friendly service

The Canto del Sol was pleasant. Food was good. The nightly shows lovely. They had some premium alcohol if that is important. I loved the pool. Location was very good as well. Cons: Only one bottle of water in the room per person and then you had to fill by the elevator; no guacamole (anywhere); used mix instead of real fruit in the drinks, otherwise was good

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Changing resort

Hotel has changed for the worse since the last time we were here, air conditioning was not working, no privacy on the balcony. As you can see the people beside you. No coffee pot In the room, no shower holder for your shampoos and gels, not satisfied at all

Riu Palace Peninsula: Wonderful!

The Riu Palace Peninsula was a lovely hotel. Excellent service, delicious variety of food, several pools to choose from, the beach was lovely with soft sand, premium liquors. Our jacuzzi suite was just beautiful with an incredible ocean view and was always kept spotless. Overall, a lovely relaxing honeymoon and just what we would would expect from a Riu Palace!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Good Price

Hi, Booking the trip was a bit stressful, as the tripcentral website didn't work and we called in to book in the end, after several attempts to do it online. The hotel was good. Staff were all very friendly. We didn't get what we were promised at booking time-a beachfront room, but our room was okay. Also, the alcohol at the resort was very watered down. The food was good, but I would reccommend sticking to cooked food because I ate a lot of raw vegetables/fruit the first few days and had  [... read more]stomach problems. Overall it was a good trip. I'm not sure if I would go back to be honest. But I'm glad I got to see Puerto Vallarta. B

Iberostar Selection Cancun: Good hotel

First time at an Iberostar. Arrived before room was ready and was sent straight to a concierge who began telling us about this great promotion that week. It turned out to be a time sharing presentation to join their club. Was not very impressed. We had a few issues with our room - TV remote defective, no hair dryer, and air conditioning was not working properly. However, these were taken care of shortly after they were reported. The one thing that freaked us out was the sliding glass door  [... read more]on the mini balcony, the door came completely off the track one night when we returned to our room after a show. My husband had to hold on to the heavy door whilst I called for maintenance. It took them over 15 minutes and 3 phone calls to respond. Due to a miscommunication, we felt as though we were being blamed in some way for the door coming off and an argument ensued. When I pointed out the potential hazard and injury that could have resulted, their solution was to offer us another room, this was 2 nights before we left and we were not interested in moving. So we chose not to use the balcony for the remainder of the vacation. Overall, staff was very friendly and the hotel and beach were very nice.

Grand Sunset Princess: So beautiful

The grand sunset princess is such a beautiful, big resort. The staff do such a great job on maintaining the grounds and they are so friendly. I really enjoyed the options they had for food and all the different types of a la carte restaurants. I am very happy that Teresa recommended this hotel to my friends and I.

Riu Tequila: Great Resort

This resort was one of the better Riu resorts that I have been to. My main complaint with most resorts is the food but I have no complaints just praises for the Tequila. I am a very fussy eater with a sensitive tummy but I had no trouble finding foods that I not only liked but enjoyed. We did go to the beach everyday because the pool water was like a warm bath & not refreshing at all. The beach was beautiful & the walk or short ride was not a problem. We did encounter a problem with the line up  [... read more]for the beach shuttle as their is no control over the clueing process so many rude people just rushed up & got on before those of us waiting in line. This needs to be addressed as it can be very annoying & that is not what vacations are all about. The rooms were dated & a bit musty smelling. There rooms & resort in general were well attended too & clean. Bed & pillows were comfortable. All in all a perfect spot.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: More than we were expecting.

We booked 8 days at The Royal Playa Del Carmen. The reviews raving about the facility were well warranted! Lovely pool, clean, exemplary staff, lovely beach and the restaurants were way beyond our expectations. Great location, nearby excursions.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Such an amazing resort!

Our stay at the Luxury Bahia Príncipe Don Pablo Akumal was amazing. Everything from the food, to the rooms, to the customer service was excellent, we had no complaints. The resort is beautiful and all of the staff were extremely friendly and happy to help with any questions we had.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Great 7 days

Very satisfied with service and the hotel It was low season but restaurants were fully staffed and food was exceptional. Never had issues with booking....make sure you eat at the French and Italian you won't be disappointed Only one criticism was that smoking and E-cigarettes at the pool is allowed,

Iberostar Selection Cancun: A bit dated, food unimpressive, good service

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Had a great week

My wife and I arrived at the Catalonia on September 4 for a week of relaxation...It didn't happen. It was our 34th anniversary. The first night there was a beach party...we danced all night. Good start to our vacation, and the rest of the week got better. There was a party in the lobby one night, Karaoke another. There was a pool party with a form machine and more dancing in the pool. The staff is what makes this resort. You can relax on the amazing Maroma beach or you can dance all week long. A [... read more]s I stated it was our anniversary, the hotel sent us cake and champagne to our room. We were surprised. The food is good but I must warn you when going to the Mexican restaurant, be sure to bring bug spray, this is a green resort, meaning that it in the middle of the rain-forest and Mexican restaurant is outdoors. The bugs are a bet annoying after a rainfall but other then that...It's fine. This was our 7th time in Mexico and I liked the fact that this is a small resort, only 400 room. It has something for everyone. We had such a great time that we need another vacation...just to relax.

Riu Santa Fe: First time, not the last!

Riu Los Cabos is one of the places ive been to where I could say I was treated as a royalty. From different areas such as their bars and restaurant to all the people behind the scenes in the resort whether it be a server or a housekeeper, it made me feel I was welcomed and they want me to stay. Ive seen a lot of smiles from the staff and the tourists as well. The Nexus group made my stay worthwhile as they told us almost eveything about Cabo. I was still in the resort but im already talking about it with my family and friends online. I have decided! Ill definitely come back with more people! Smart Cancun By Oasis: Oasis Smart in Cancun, review

Not many staff speak English. Even a girl in front desk barely understands English. Lady who cleans the room everyday made it very obvious that she wants tips. Otherwise you will not see towel rack empty and you have to ask front desk for towels. Front desk phone barely ever got picked up when you call from your room. When you ask front desk any questions, they never said they didn't know the answer. Instead, they gave you wrong answer. For example, you ask him to make a wake up call. [... read more] He would say ok. Then he never did. Also, you ask what is country code of Mexico, he would say 54 while actually it is 52. Even in the room, the instruction of how to dial local or international or dial a room are all wrong. There is no fan in washroom so it stinks. When I told front desk about this, instead of telling that is the way it is, I was told the fan works slowly and that you wouldn't feel the wind. I said there was no wind at all, then they said they would get it fixed the next day. Next day was told it is fixed. It never was. I bought cigarrets from across the street. I asked front desk if I could exchange in the store. Was told no. I someone still brought them back to store, they were changed very smoothly. I asked front desk if hotel business centre has different wifi username. Was told there is no special wifi but the fact is there is. Different user name and password and it is faster. I found some bugs in the room on the desk I killed 2. Size half of flea. Grey colour very light weight. Jumps. Not sure what kind of bugs. I had some bites from someone in bed after sleeping. Saw small bumps on my elbow.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Amazing Vacation

We have just had an amazing week here, traveled Sept. 3 - Sept 11. This was 3rd visit, to the Riviera Maya first time at the Grana Palladium What Can I Say : "IT WAS A PARADISE" Hotel This resort is huge it is made up of at least 4 resorts, where you can move around in 3 of them. but once you get your bearings it easy to navigate around. Within the 3 resorts you can move around in there are large pools with great swim up bars and then there are scattered smaller Adult Only pools. Ther [... read more]e are plenty of trains to take you around the resorts where the maximum wait time between trains is 15 min. The beach is only a 5 minute walk. The rooms are large and spacious and amenities are great. Tea/coffee facilities and mini bar constantly stocked with water, beer, coke ,fanta and sprite. The grounds are immaculate and maintained constantly by the army of gardeners. BEACH The Beach is beautiful, with nice white sand and clear blue water. There were enough sun loungers available, even with the resort as full as it was. The Beach although is very long many parts of it are very rocky with few areas where to swim a bit full of people, but the rocky areas are absolutely great for snorkeling right there on the beach The 24 hour snack bar is on the Beach right next the bar which is also open 24 hours. FOOD BUFFET- The buffet was GREAT! Lots of choices, you would never go hungry. There is all kinds of options with mostly an international selection, only downside is that Mexican food is a bit scarce. A LA CARTES We did the following....... Mexican This was a great simple and elegant restaurant to go to. Japanese The tepenyanki show table is a must. The show was good, it was entertaining and involved all at the table helping us make friends with those at the table. Overall, we had the most AMAZING time We will definitely be back...... The customer service is exceptional Thank you. The staff is great the customer service at this hotel is above and beyond and we will be returning in a few years to annoy you all again! Holiday was fair for the money, the greater majority of guests were Mexican locals and thus the food, pool music and entertainment was almost entirely catered to them. which is fair enough really I suppose. But with the hotel being touted on line as a second home to Canadians and minimum one plane load of Canadians per week, I was hoping for some familiar food in the buffet and to be able to be understood a little easier. Quite honestly I was glad to be out of there, it was a long week. No more  [... read more]rock hard beds/pillows, very loud Spanish bump bump music and barely edible food ( desserts were good though ). It was an OK break but hotel was no way a 4 star though. I know I could make a few very minor changes and more than triple their Canadian visitors!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Beautiful resort, Great Service!

This was our first time to Mexico and we were not disappointed. The resort was amazing, and had all the amenities you could need. The food was fantastic and offered a large variety. The a la cartes were fantastic as well.
