Grand Sunset Princess: I wasn't that happy there

The main office was great. Put the Platinum suite smelled swampy because it was right there at the swamp so we could sit out side at all near or rooms. and the pools where dirty big time so we went to the beach and that was ok rocky but ok.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: An excellent family vacation

We stayed at the Now from July 30-Aug 6th and had an incredible week. From the time we checked in to the time we left, I can’t say enough about this resort. Check in was easy and we were greeted a warm smile and cold cocktail. Our room was ready and we were in room 1320. This was a great location; it was close to the main building and not to far from the pool and beach. The room was very quiet and we had a beautiful balcony surrounded by lush trees. We love the fact that the hotel didn’t require wristbands, reservations for the restaurants or towel cards. I read the reviews and expected waits at the restaurants so we went early. We never had to wait long and on the one occasion that we did wait, they provided us with a pager so that we could go for a walk, the wait was only about 20 minutes. We enjoyed all of the dining options, with the favorite being Cibu and the Blue water grill. I’m a vegetarian and had really nice options. My son and husband enjoyed the selection of seafood and meats with the variety always changing. Cocktails were easy to get and if you wanted them a little stronger, this was always provided or you could choose from many delicious choices without alcohol. The service is outstanding, so many amazing team members that go above and beyond to make your stay the best possible experience. A few tips – bring strong sun screen, rent a car and do Tulum on your own. It was safe, easy and you could go at your own pace. We stopped at a Cenote and in Playa del Carmen. I brought snorkel gear but didn’t use it.. I did bring a spring float and this was great as the resort only has a few floats. Get your chairs early in the morning for the best selections. We walked to Puerto Morelos – had an amazing massage on the beach by Sara – I think it was the third massage place down the beach about a minute or two before town. This was the best massage I’ve ever had!! The walk was about 30-40 minutes. We did cab it back for $12.00 Us. Town had nice people, cute shops and is safe to walk to during the day down the beach. We brought pecos, but I would just do US in the future – I was way to confused from CDN and US is excepted everywhere. Enjoy your stay, embrace the people and I hope you enjoy as much as we did!!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Not as good as a year ago

Went to the Royalton for our second time in about a year. The resort was only a few months old when we went then and we had an amazing time, so we figured we would go back because of our last experience. This time around however , although the resort service is fantastic and the food is beyond good , in a year the resort seems tired. Our biggest complaint however was that we requested an ocean view or for that matter a partial ocean view room and we were put into a mangrove swamp view room , whi [... read more]ch is absolutely beyond disgusting because of the smell. The two minutes you need to go out to the balcony and hang your bathing suit to dry is an adventure in agony. The other complaint is DO NOT WASTE EXTRA MONEY and book into the diamond club to get the extra priviledges , it absolutely of no use this time around. Asking for extra towels over and over again did not happen, even though our "butler" said the request was maid several times. The last thing you should know is that the class of people this resort now attracts is far from clean and proper.

Secrets Vallarta Bay: just ok

We were at Secrets Vallarta Bay in early August for one week. A few hiccups upon arrival and we felt the situation left a bad taste in our mouths right from the start. We did not feel the front desk staff to be warm or happy to see us... there was a good deal of pressure to sit thru vacation club sales which we refused. The pool was fine and since that is where you spend 90% of your time, it was a pretty good resort in that regard. We felt the food was inconsistent as well as the service in [... read more] the restaurants. I do believe it was at 70% capacity and I am not sure if that had anything to do with it. The rooms are nice, water hot in the shower, comfortable beds. Get a room as high up as possible as the night life can get quite noisy. - Room service was terrible so we had it only once. Travel to pool, beach from your rooms is via elevators - very HOT elevators. You have to go over the the NOW Amber side (where there is children and families) for a great deal of your meals so if you want quiet dinners... you have only a few choices on the Secrets side. The coffee shops are great . There is no denying the wonderful view, the beautiful sunsets and the benefits of being close to the airport and to the downtown. The swim out rooms here looked to be your best bet and would consider returning only if the price was right and we booked swim out room.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: comfortable stay

Pleasant rooms Plenty of very good food Easy access to a good beach with little trains Wi-fi surprisingly only for 1 hour a day free. Lobby, theatre and dining room uncomfortable and risky licking on natural palm leaves roofs on rainy times that happens often

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: A great week at Royal Decameron Complex

This being our 4th visit to the resort, we were aware of the hotel layout, buffets, a la cartes, bars, etc. The hotel does not portray itself as 5* -- I would rate it a solid 3.5 to 4* by Mexican standards. Do your homework before travelling and you will know that there are no refrigerators in the room and the hotel provides minimal extras in terms of lotions, shampoo, etc. We had booked with Transat on their "free upgrade" offer however we were not granted the upgrade. We had requested a ki [... read more]ng bed and ended up in building 3 (room 3421). Although we were happy with the building and the room in general, the air conditioner in the room was extremely noisy. Maintenance did look at it, but it remained very loud for the duration of our visit. The resort seemed to be a little quieter than in past visits, with a good mix of nationals and international guests (Canada & Great Britain mainly). During the summer there is never an issue with getting a seat at the beach regardless of what time you arrive. Staff are consistently friendly and the resort is clean and well-maintained overall. We have never found that staff treat the Mexican guests any differently than foreign guests. Although we have no plans, we would return and we would recommend.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Beautiful resort

Not a single complaint! Everything was fantastic...weather, grounds, food, service and drinks! Loved the fact it's 18+ but with that it was a little too quiet in the evenings sometimes but that's just my observation. Worth every penny! Planning our next trip back in a few months!!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Good resort- 4.5 stars

The resort seemed like a village- which was too big for us. They had golf carts to bring you around the resort. Overall, the food was good but we have had better food at another Mexican resort. They did have premium liquor which was nice. You need to book restaurants right away. Many were booked but when you went to your reservations there were empty seats. The beach is not too great- very rocky and many wave barriers. The pools were nice. The entertainment was good. Riu Caribe Cancun: Overall great resort

Resort was great. The beach was amazing and the food was good. Pools got loud and rowdy some days but it is Cancun... Service was great and rooms were clean and spacious. Overall good resort and would go back again.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Hugh resort

We have been to many resorts and this one blows everyone of them. 18 a la cart restaurants 3 hugh pools including a sick infinity pool where you can watch the ocean waves crash onto the shore. If thats not enough,try the cove where its blocked off to make snorkelers have a crazy clam water bay to feed hundreds of fish with bread or bananas. Feeling tired and want to get off your feet? Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Great Resort

Great Resort, Beautiful beach, staff is amazing from waiters to bartenders to concierge and front desk staff. Clubbing promoters could be more accomodating at the clubs themselves instead of leaving you there, Had a good stay.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Absolutely beautiful !

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this past July at this amazing resort. We enjoyed part of our stay with good friends and the four of us had a most enjoyable stay. The staff was friendly and so very accommodating, paying close attention to my husbands nut allergy. The food and drinks were very good. The Italian and French restaurants were our favorite. Our very favorite part was the exceptional house band The Imperial band which provided us with a great time each night [... read more]. We loved them!!!! Lester and the entire band , you rock! The beach is gorgeous. Waves rough but swimable. Could use another beach bar due to size of beach. The massive pool was unfortunately way too hot and taken over by some very loud and rude guests. Overall we loved the resort and will definitely want to go back. We do recommend staying in the Silver club rooms, lovely and perfect location. Thank you to all staff for providing us with an absolutely beautiful vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Excellent time all around!

We were impressed with the service, the food and the resort In general. The drinks were good and there were lots of choices when it came to food. The beach was great and the beach service was good. You could go up to the bar if you didn't feel like waiting. The shuttle between the resorts was quick, we never really had to wait too long for one. The one key piece of advice we can offer is to make your dinner reservations ASAP. Even using the app we were left with limited choices and without [... read more] a reservation at all on one night. Luckily the buffet offered lots of choice so we weren't too disappointed. Overall, the service was great and the resort wasn't overly large so as to make it difficult to navigate. Highly recommended!!

Spread out, very we'll organized with golf carts drivers great, buffets were amazing, some restaurants were not ! Beach extraordinary , entertainment good, staff and concierge attentive, w/c on bus was problem

Grand Sunset Princess: Beautiful resort!

Hotel was beautiful, clean, great variety of food. Hotel staff were exceptional! Mini bar always stocked and room cleaned every day. Beach is clean, well kept. Easy to book restaurants but accommodated without reservations. Food was plentiful and a great variety. Must do the Japanese restaurant where the chef cooks at your table. Did the ATV through the jungle, zip line through the jungle and into the cenote ended with a snorkel in a cave... $99 double ride ( lunch included ) ... booked with  [... read more]the tour group at the hotel. No complaints ! Family of 4 ( children 19 and 20 )

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Very modern and clean resort

The food was just okay. Surprisingly the buffet was better than the al la cart restaurants. Staff and animation crew were fantastic. Drinks were extremely watered down !!!there was a lot of smokers on the resort and the smoked where ever They wanted, even in areas clearly marked no smoking. The rooms were gorgeous and very spacious. Especially our swim up room was great.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Excellent resort! Will definitely go back.

My husband and I just got back from a week at the Royal Decameron Complex and we loved it! The resort is so interesting to look at with the bright colours and beautiful gardens. We were so impressed with how immaculate the grounds and beach were. We also couldn't get over how well set up the resort was and how organized the staff and crew are. It's clear they put a lot of thought into the guest experience when creating this resort. Food: We though the food was fantastic! The pastries we [... read more]re to die for and they clearly took time to study the international cuisines as that was some of the best lasagna I've ever had outside of Italy. The freshly made tortillas were second to none and the bread was exceptional. We also loved having freshly made tacos available every evening and the nacho bar was often frequented by me...a lot. Who doesn't love fresh salsa and guacamole? Accommodations: The rooms are basic but very clean and pretty comfortable. We actually did change rooms because our first room had a gap between the sliding doors that was letting the neighbour's cigarette smoke in and that bothered my husband's asthma, but the transition was really easy and efficient and they could not have been more accommodating. We ended up in a room by the adults only pool and it was amazing. So clean and well kept. They are certainly a hard working and conscientious group! Activities: This is not a place where one could get bored! They have all kinds of activities for all different age groups ranging from sports to crafts to yoga and then the independent water sports. The kayaking and boogie boards were a huge hit - especially in the waves. The iguana feeding time is particularly fun. I'm pretty sure it's for the children, but my husband and I joined in and had a great time seeing all of the iguanas at feeding time. Surrounding area: The beach is beautiful and great for walking. If you'd like to see some really great houses and condos along the beach, you'll love the walk in either direction. It appears to be in a fairly wealthy area of Bucerias with some really fantastic houses and interesting landscaping. The nearby flea market was pretty fun. We heard there was a market that was more for local people, but didn't get a chance to go there and were disappointed we didn't make the time. We'll absolutely go next time. Neither of us are big fans of touristy stuff, but the market we went to was still fun to walk around. Just know your prices before you go. All in all, it was a fantastic experience with top notch customer service and really, really great food. Vacationing with people who were mostly from Mexico was also great as we really felt immersed in the culture. I absolutely recommend it to others.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Newer Hotel - Limited Recreation Staff

Ample staff in buffet restaurants, large food options, something for everyone. Opposite at the lunch pavilions and health/smoothie bar near the beach - only 1-2 dedicated servers, limited menu, (chips/hamburgers/nuggets), long lines due to small batch preparation at high peak times. Staff needed in populated social areas for disruptive - loud guest. Restaurants reservations blocked, first or second choice unavailable. Walk by showed restaurant half filled - few servers.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Blew us away!

Gorgeous resort with luxurious finishings throughout. One restaurant better than the next. Had an incredible 5 day getaway for our 10 year anniversary. Super friendly staff, amazing room and great entertainment. Solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
