Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Beautiful Resort

everything was very clean beautiful grounds The service was excellent and the beach spectacular. This was my third stay at Grand Catalonia. Drinks were great and restaurants were clean and not much waiting time for meals.

Riu Dunamar: Great place

Great hotel food and best customer service we experienced for years…we travelled to many places in down South. Overall 10 plus experience for adults and families. Staff was friendly not in your face asking questions and never waiting for anything from front desk to beach service just amazing.We will return and recommend to others

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Another amazing vacation!!!

Iberostar Paraiso never disappoints. My 21st trip and this trip was no different. Love the lush tropical location, amazing staff and great food. Perfect for a single, couples or families. Been coming for 15 years.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Good time!

This was our 5th time at this hotel. The check in process was very smooth. The rooms are always kept clean although there were a couple of days when the cleaning staff were very late to clean our room. The restaurants are very good, from the buffet to all the a la cartes. The french was our favourite. There are always lots of choices at the buffet especially at breakfast and lunch. A special shout out to Alejandro for always greeting us with a smile and making great custom eggs and omelet [... read more]tes. There is construction of a new resort on the south side of the hotel so noise may be an issue going forward. The staff are always very helpful and with a smile. Our main complaint is, again, the shortage of umbrellas and loungers on the beach. It was a problem every day. Overall, we had a lovely time and would return.

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Grand Palladium Riviera Resort and Spa

What a great time we had as a family. Recommended for families with small kids, lots to do and entertainment was good. Staff were always helpful and polite. Rooms were decent but that is expected for a hotel that is a bit old and isolated. Overall we were very happy and would recommend it.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Great resort for families!

We had a great time at the Lindo. The resort is massive and contains many pools, restaurants, and things to do. The pools are awesome. There is a wave pool, a lazy river, and water park and slides. We found the ocean to be rough and did not swim in it, but we enjoyed walking on the beach and sand. The food was very good as well. We would return!

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Overall Good Resort

Overall, my husband and I loved the resort. Its very big, so lots to do since you have access to all 5 resorts. Kept very clean and nice. A great family resort for kids. Beach is very big, lots of sand space and chairs so no issue not finding a chair. Its currently hurricane season so lots of seaweed coming in. Pools are very nice and clean. When we checked in, they gave us absolutely no details of the resort or information. Didn't give us our towel cards or direct us to our room. Then our fob didnt work so we couldnt get into the room, it was a dissappointing start. Service at buffets was quite slow. Most of the works also speak Spanish only, or English is very limited so there is definitely a language barrier. Location was nice, about 1.5 hours from the airport Overall everything was very nice, we loved it. Our only complaint would be lack of service and friendliness from the workers.

Review of Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun My recent stay at your resort left me with mixed feelings — a disappointing first impression that was thankfully turned around by some of the hardest-working and kindest staff members I’ve ever encountered at a resort. This review is meant to provide constructive feedback while also giving sincere thanks to the incredible individuals who made our stay memorable. ❌ First Impressions: A Rough Start I booked a premium full ocean view room throug [... read more]h a Canadian travel provider and was given Room 1622 on the first day. This was not an Ocean View room. Even though we were told this was a premium room. The room was far from premium — it hadn’t been cleaned or refreshed. Thick dust covered the room, especially the mat near the bed. As someone with severe allergies, this was unacceptable. I had also paid extra for a full ocean view, but this room did not meet that standard either. However, cleanliness and health concerns outweighed the view issue at that point. The room design and furnishings felt outdated, not in line with the luxury branding Secrets promotes. Thankfully, the next day, the issue was resolved by Karen and Rebecca, who reassigned us to a much cleaner room on the 4th floor of Building 15, with a lovely ocean view. That room was what I had expected from the beginning. One recommendation: the bedside carpet/mat should be removed entirely. It traps dust and sand and serves no functional benefit. I physically removed it myself to prevent allergy triggers. Dining & Buffet Concerns: The buffet food lacked freshness, which surprised me. Unlike other resorts where food is prepared fresh at stations, most of what we tried seemed to have been sitting for a while. The room service meals and breakfast were excellent and consistently fresh — a stark contrast from the buffet. The Hyatt timeshare sales pitch right after check-in was not appreciated. After 24+ hours of travel and little sleep, being bombarded with information and pressured to attend a sales breakfast was the last thing we needed. We declined everything. Language Bias: A Disappointing Experience As someone fluent in both Spanish and English — and proudly Latina and Canadian — I was disappointed to experience different treatment when I chose to speak Spanish with the front desk concierge staff. Suddenly, my concerns felt minimized or brushed off. Once I switched to English, only then did I feel taken seriously. Spanish is the native language of Mexico, and no guest should have to forsake their roots to be respected. We pay the same price as any other tourist, and we should be treated equally, whether we speak English, French, Spanish, or anything else. I say this with sadness and sincerity: it felt like I had to turn my back on my roots to be treated as a paying guest, and that should never happen. The Positives: A Resort Full of Beauty and Heart Despite the challenges, there’s no denying that Secrets Maroma is stunning. The gardens, tropical setting, and beach are breathtaking. Truly one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen — and I’ve been all over Mexico and other countries. Maroma is at the top of my list. The room service food, the Seaside Grill, and the Italian and Mexican restaurants were standouts. Thank you for those culinary highlights. The staff at this resort are the true stars. Many felt like family, and I left feeling like I was saying goodbye to dear friends. Facility Suggestions: Replace the two white water tubes near the main terrace with a traditional Mexican fountain — it would elevate the atmosphere and better reflect the cultural beauty of the space. In the theater, please consider adding step lighting or reflective tape — I saw a few seniors trip in the darkness, and this could become a safety issue if not addressed. ✅ Final Thoughts While our stay began with frustration, it ended with heartfelt gratitude — all because of the amazing team. The staff is the soul of Secrets Maroma. They are the reason we will consider coming back in the future. To those reading this, if you go, speak up if something isn’t right. But also take time to thank the staff who give their all, day and night, to make your vacation one to remember.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: It is really beautiful resort

This resort is located in wonderful tropical forest with numerous paths and pools crossed bridges. You can see spider monkeys, coatis,agautis,deers, iguanas and o lot of different birds.In addition,there was 15 minute walk away from hotel to the parc Xaret, where we could go all the time. Food was delicious. All personal was very friendly and polite. Rooms very clean. However, there are not enough umbrellas near pools to provide shade from the direct rays of the sun. In the room in the bathroo [... read more]m there was no fan and was damp,in addition one wooden door with holes didn’t isolate the bathroom from the main room. If one from us went to the tolet, the other had to go to the balcony. There was no fan and, as result of which it was damp and not good smell. Especially, when you enter the room and the bathroom.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great resort

The grounds are very clean as is the rooms. Bedding changed daily. Excellent meals. First time to this resort but would not hesitate in booking it again. Has pool activity daily. Free bars all around the property. They also have a market and casino.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Jim O'Neil

Everything was great. Jim with trip central was excellent to deal with and was efficient at every request/question we had. We will be booking through Jim in 2026 again thank you so much! The resort itself was a great upgrade compared to coba last year, I also did the pga pro course and was extremely impressed with the conditions, services, and pro shop.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Great Family Resort

Our Family had a great time at the Barcelo Palace and booking through Tammy Beamish @ Tripcentral was easy and worry free. (Was my first time using Tripcentral and was very pleased). Everything at the resort was great. Only comments we have are that the resort is huge and if you have issues walking that could be an issue, lots of towels but no face cloths in room, and a paper map with all 6 resorts would be beneficial, and the beach is rocky in places (water shoes come in handy) We only saw 1  [... read more]show and it was average at best but we enjoyed snorkeling with fish and turtles right in front of the resort and at the pier for hours. Bring your own snorkeling gear.

El Dorado Maroma: Good resort

Resort was very good! Staff were very friendly and polite. We had junior suite, which was very spacious with big kitchen , big room and nice terrace with ocean view. Housekeeping was on a high level. Everything was clean and well maintained. Grounds were nice , food was delicious. The Mexican party was amazing ! Jeryk was amazing with dance and yoga classes ! Only one disadvantage - last 2 days there were a lot of seagrasses. Staff were doing their best to clean it up.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Mostly Good - Except the Food

Pros: + The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well kept. + The pools are great and the beach is lovely. + Facilities are top notch. + The staff is friendly and welcoming, for the most part. Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Great Resort, but put in wrong room

When we showed up to the resort at 9:30pm we found out we were in a single bed room without a pull out couch. We had to fight for a different room the next day. We have a 6'2 13yr old and a 3yr old. The rest of the trip was great, the resort was awesome. Beach is terrible.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Not great

Took 2 hours to check in at which time our room wasn't ready so we had to return to the line at 3pm. Buffet wasn't great. Long walk from our room to the main pool/beach. Long lines at bars and slow service, we would wait up to 15 minutes sometimes. Beach is awful, small,smelly and full of seaweed. Chairs are a huge issue. When all reviews are about the lack of chairs, why don't you buy more chairs??? Spend extra money and go somewhere else!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great for families

The people are so kind and friendly! So much food!!! Beautiful presentation! Lots of free activities in this resort - by the pool during the day, bowling, ping pong, billiards, karaoke, evening shows, dancing etc. Waterpark is for kids only (no teens, no adults) If you want to be close to the buffet, Daisy is where to stay, if you want to be close to the beach, ask for Eden.
