Riu Playa Blanca: Great value
We like the RIU hotel chain. You can count on it being great. The hotel it self was great, not so much the food, not that it was bad,it was boring, every not the same thing not what RIU’s are known for. At Other RIU’s the would often be theme nights! Better variety and well Cooked. The fish was often raw not my thing and this was “ of the hot Grill†It was great that the ride from the airport to the hotel was ten minutes 🤓
Riu Guanacaste: Great trip!
Great Hotel would be great if there was a bar closer to the beach, and they didn't limit refilling fridge to every 2 days, other than that no complaints. Really enjoyed seeing monkeys next door each day.
Riu Playa Blanca: Not to bad
Every thing was good food was the same every day. This was the only place where the fish was terrible not cooked enough The rooms where nice and the grounds where done nice. Pools kept clean. They rally spoke English when they had games or shows
Riu Palace Baja California: Resort offered great dining but activities were limited.
We enjoyed our stay despite the unseasonably cool temperatures. We were initially disappointed with our room allocation given my fiancé is a gold club member. After 3 days we were upgraded to a larger room with an ocean view. Unfortunately, two days into our holiday the resort was without water for 12 hours. Not sure how often this happens? We were not aware that there is no swimming on the beach so our stay felt a bit restricted regarding walking and enjoying the beach.
Riu Playa Blanca: Great Hotel
The hotel is spotless. The front desk people are good. Our room was on the 5th floor facing the courtyard view, we could see the ocean it was beautiful and clean. There are double sinks and a great walk in shower. There is a blow dryer but bring your own shampoos and body soap. The plugs are the same as home, no adapters required. The airport is 7 minutes away. The bar drinks are all great. You can ask for top shelf liquor. I was happy the bar had clamato, but no cranberry juice. Th [... read more]
Riu Guanacaste: Great Experience
I thought the hotel was great. Plenty of seats in the shade. Friendly staff. Was a great time. The only thing I did not like is you have to line up to get into any of the 4 restaurants that were not the buffet. But that was a minor irritation. I also appreciate that smoking is only allowed in certain places - not everywhere.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Fantastic resort!
This hotel was amazing, staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The grounds were clean and beautiful. The restaurants were first class and the atmosphere was superb. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday or a piece of paradise.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Wonderful resort
Great hotel service very good .Good choices of food and drink.Room was good could use a little work like new furniture but was comfortable.Maid service very good did great job cleaning room daily .Staff very helpful and pleasant.Would travel there again .
Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Our Vacation
What a great overall trip. Loved the rooms, Food & atmosphere of the resort. The amount of pools allowed the guests to be spread out and not overcrowded. Wished there were more rooms with ocean views though. The stay was great and was sad to have to leave.
Riu Republica: Great Resort!
Many thanks to Bill Gentry from Trip Central in Hamilton who recommended the Rio Republica Resort in Punta Cana. The resort was beautiful, the rooms were clean, we enjoyed the food and the staff was friendly. A week went by very quickly and we can't wait to return next year. Ana & Steve, Brooklin.
Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Great Holiday
The resort, staff, food, and activities good and the whole family enjoyed our vacation. The only downside with the resort was that most excursions and shopping was an expensive trip into town. Some free shuttles several times a week would have been nice!
Riu Guanacaste: Great location
Was lack of restrooms near beach and a constant line up at women’s washrooms at nearest restraunt. There was no beverage service at beach . Overall a great vacation and excellent dining facilities . Would definitely return
Riu Palace Costa Rica: an amazing experience
i took my wife to this wonderful resort it was our first time in costa rica..the RIU palace was amazing i knew we were in a very special place because the bell boy made us feel very welcome the general manager and the reception desk made our stay extra special this trip was to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday..and we love it..
Riu Guanacaste: February stay
This was our second stay at this hotel. Everything was great. The only thing that was not as expected was the beach. It was rockier than I remembered but that is due to the tides. Sometimes there was rocks then a few hours later it was nice and sandy. If you walk just past the Palace there's a nice stretch of beach there. Lots of wild life to see. Overall nice vacation
Riu Ocho Rios: fantastic resort
very nice resort ,staff were very friendly, well maintained and easy to find your way around the resort , very nice beach with lots of lounge chairs available , food was very good at all dining locations , bar staff very friendly and eager to serve you , room was well maintained and cleaning staff did a good job room was always cleaned when we returned in the afternoon .
Riu Montego Bay: Resort super
Clean rooms Nice crew Amazing shows Restaurants are ok but they should change some menu Fun time for kids Resort very clean Lots of greens Safety area Clean beach I recommend for everyone I hope I will back
Riu Guanacaste: Great Value for this Resort
This resort is considered to be a 5 star hotel, but based on my opinion, I believe it is a 4 start hotel in international rating standards. For the price we paid, the food quality and variety is strong. The nightly entertainment is fun to watch, but a few more optional nightly entertainment options would be great. The hotel looks nice, and the pools and beach are typical to other resorts. The staff are nice and friendly. The sports bar and the 24 hour snacks is the worst part of it. They p [... read more]
Riu Negril: Amazing trip
The rooms were clean and very nice. The grounds were kept well maintained. The food was great and always available somewhere on the resort. The pools were clean and perfect temperatures. The beach was fun to walk and see all the different fish and underwater life. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We would definitely go back to that resort again
Riu Republica: Great resort
Loved most all ...the ala cartes could you use better lighting, and better food. All in all a solid 4 !! Oh ...the jerk chicken a four plus !! And the staff fantastic. Very good bar service, a wait of no longer than a minute or so.
Riu Playa Blanca: Mixed Feelings
Our holiday was the end of November 2019, 22 - 29 We love Riu, and loved the room - top floor, ocean front. The food was great. The service was great. The set up of the pools are not optimum. 4 pools in front - no quiet pool. We were there while there was a holiday for the area, so the resort was packed and very noisy. The beach and water were dirty. We are happy we went and saw the canal, but we would not go back to Panama.
