A Great Hotel very Modern, and Clean all over the Room to Great food very Nice Swimming pools, the Staff was very Friendly! and Beaches just Amazing the Beach Bar the drinks and the Food at the Beach!

Front desk staff are not too friendly all the other staff are pretty good. Everything is centrally located. Rooms are excellent the views are outstanding. Beach is nothing to write home about. Kids cloud is great. Food is repetitive. Pools are great. Transfer time is way too long

This hotel is perfect only downfall is the transfer time and the beach is not the greatest. Food is the same but good. Majority of the staff is excellent. Great family resort not a lot of walking required to get to things

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Sanctuary at Grand Memories

Very pleased with my recent stay at the Sanctuary. The check in and out process was the fastest I have ever experienced. The staff and service we excellent for the most part. The food was good, but being Cuba, there were times when some things were just not available. Our Butlers, Mercedez and Diyan were most attentive and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. Pedro from the lobby bar at Grand Memories was fantastic. All in all, it was a pretty good value for the price.  [... read more]I would recommend the upgrade to butler service and unlimited a la cart dinners though as the buffet can become a bit monotonous after a few days of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing!!!

It's very clean resort, very clean room, 3 pools across the lobby (one in process to repair broken tiles) and one located on the West side of resort. The Ice Cream place operational from 10am to 4 pm, Kids Club, Beach towels, Buffet restrain, Snack Bar, beach bar, two pool bars, bar on Lobby, GYM, tennis court, mini bar, Free Safe Deposit in the room, and free 1hr wi-fi per person daily. (Me and my wife had 14 hrs of wifi for one week). The amount and varaity of food were enough for me and my  [... read more]wife, however, looks little bit less than in other resorts. (I been on Cuba 11 times already). If you decide to be a vegetarian, its a perfect time to start in this resort. I don't care about the food, I'm here because of ocean and beautiful beach. Not enough lighting at evenings outside of room, so make sure you have a flashlight. The big issue with safety on the beach, if you see the red flag and you'll decide to swim, probably you'll not get any help when need it, so you on your own. One women nearly drowned, the swell took her to deeper water and she had a problem to come back. While the lifeguard was blow his whistle, I swam towards her. Its takes about 10 sec to reach her, but took long time to come back, the tides been pushing us to the ocean. I almost drowned myself, thanks to one guy for helping us to get on the shoal water. The Customer Service promissed to overlook safety issues on the beach. Its very nice people, not spoiled like other employees in Varadero. I saw a real working people there. I'll come back again.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Pleasant vacation

Pleasant place. Food was good, lobby area very pleasant. If weather allowed, beach was pleasant. Good size, clean pools. Time to time has negatives, things that could be better, like where they throw the algae on the beach, in order to avoid unnecessary bug problems, or small room issues, but overall it is a pleasant place.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Beach Heaven!

This hotel while a little dated is in good shape. The staff are incredible. I was with a group of 13 and we had an awesome week November 2-9, 2019. The beach is stunning. Food was good. We did an excursion from the hotel with Air Transat and it was well synchronized.

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Worst ever resort in cuba

Attention Canadians trust me when I say do not go to this resort. Hotel looks older than 3 years old. Service is terrible. Food I wouldn’t even give to my dog. They ran out of beer, coke, sprite. No butter no bacon. All that is good is the beach and thank god the weather was good. Otherwise I would have booked a flight home the next day.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Fun week at the Playa!

Grounds were very well kept,room was great and mini fridge was restocked daily with pop,beer and water.Beach was not as big as I am used to but ot works.Some staff not as receptive as others until you engage them then they would open up.Tons of bars and places to grab a bite.The buffet was like all Cuban buffets but I usually get meat grilled in front of me which was very good.I did not do any of the a la cartes.Cigar Lounge,Mojitos Bar and Cappuccino Bar are excellent places to stop at.Animatio [... read more]n was good I will be back to Playa for sure.Gracias!

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Spectacular Beach and resort!!

This resort is spectacular, beautiful beaches, great staff, stunning views. Staff went out of their way to please. Rooms are clean, fresh towels and Beach towels in the room. Food was good. Typical for Cuba.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Good resort

Our Montecristo room was spacious and well kept. The king size bed was very comfortable and linens were fresh. Grounds well maintained. The beach was amazing. Although we had a couple days when the ocean was rough we enjoyed every minute we spent on the beach. We were served drinks on the beach as we did not have to go to the bar every time we wanted a drink. The staff was amazingly nice and polite and always available to assist. Long lineups for grilled meat and fish and from my observation the grills were not hot enough to cook the food fast. Food lacks the taste and flavour. Overall there are a lot of opportunities to improve the food.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Beautiful Resort for a couple on vacation

Property was beautiful and people were amazing! White sands and turquoise waters. Only fault was the selection of food the first few days. Got much better towards the weekend though. Awesome being able to go to the market for just $10 pesos and take a ride back in an old school Cadillac

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Wonderful Trip!

Wife and I travelled in Nov 2019 - staying 7 days at Sanctuary. We occupied a room on the 3rd floor of building 59. Resort was great value, and the food was very tasty. Lots of great flavours and variety. Many options throughout all the different a la carte restaurants, and buffet. Beer was always ice-cold, rum was dark and the drinks a plenty. Often ran out of the disposable cups around the pool, so bring your own refillable mug. It's better for the environment anyways. The hehe or no-see-um's [... read more] sucked. We got bit a lot. It was not the first time this has happened in Cuba for us. We didn't bother with Bug spray, that may have helped? Lavender & coconut oil came to our rescue. Beach was lovely. Waves were fun, water was clear & sand was beautiful white. Pool at Sanctuary is amazing. Best in the Caribe. Book a trip here, you will not regret it.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: A great family resort

My family and I stayed at playa Cayo Santa Maria from November 8-15. This was my second time in Cayo Santa Maria and we were not disappointed. The hotel was great, the beach is beautiful but the most beautiful thing about this trip was all of the staff. They are such hard working, caring individuals who go above and beyond. They were so wonderful to us and our two little ones. A huge thank you to Mario, he was amazing. We will definitely be back! Thank you to everyone at playa Cayo Santa Maria!

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing Resort!

This resort was awesome! Perfect resort for relaxing and if your looking to have fun! Entertainment through out the whole day by the beach/pool and nightly entertainment was awesome. The food at the restaurant’s and snack bars are great, didn’t love the buffet but can’t complain. The beach is beautiful just be careful I got a few bug bites while at the beach! Overall I had a great trip!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Disappointing.

The people were fantastic but it became evident early in that the hotel had some issues which we attribute largely to its management. Bathrooms in main hotel were frequently filthy with no toilet paper. Room service poor, we were shorted towels daily. Only 19 covered areas on beach...totally inadequate for number of visitors. Food adequate and meat tough and in short supply. Two members of our group had stomach issues from the food. This resort was beautiful, a lot bigger than I was expecting, grounds was well maintained, Rooms were clean and adequately sized , however the beds could use a bit of upgrading in the comfort department. Grounds very scenic, & extremely spacious. Beach front was great lots of real estate to lounge on. The condo hotel concept I found to be unique. For somewhere to relax, unwind, quiet & peaceful it’s a 10. For an all inclusive I’d say they delivered. 24 hour bar & 24 hour snack restaurant - breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Yes we are going again this time for a longer stay. Word of advice-Get the all inclusive, book all excursion B4 U arrive, otherwise, it will cost U more, because they seriously over inflate there $ by almost 37%. If U don't need to spend Dont. Tip in your own currency Don't convert otherwise U lose.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Things have changed.

We came back this year because it was so peaceful and laid back when we visited last year at the same time. The staff were wonderful, and we were happy with the food and the beach again this time but.......our tranquil pool bar was taken over by rowdy, foul mouthed yahoos intent on forcing their disruptive noise on the rest of us. Perhaps the price reduction played a part. Hell....we were very happy to pay 200 bucks less this year too! We like to do a little day drinkin' and have a few laughs [... read more] with new friends, but it really got stupid when the sloppy drunks started writhing around on the bar we had our drinks on. Hopefully we just pulled the short straw time wise and Sanctuary is still the best bet in Cayo Santa Maria. We may give it another chance...but maybe not.

We had a great time. The service at this resort was way beyond expectations from the chamber boy who cleaned our room to the waiters at the bars and buffets. Everything at the resort was really clean and well maintained. The pools were beautiful and the beach amazing. Plan to return as soon as feasible.
