Viva Maya by Wyndham: Great Vacation

1st of all I rated this 5* for what I expected in a 3+ resort. Beach-amazing, a la cart food-awesome, staff-great, lay out-easy, rooms-better than some, basic but clean, liquor-top shelf, very clean, staff enjoyed working there took pride in their resort

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Huge resort!

We just got back from this resort yesterday. It's not our first time to Rivera maya. We stayed at the royalton last year which was a wonderful resort and it's only 15 mins away from the airport :) we absolutely loved our stay at the royalton. We were gonna go back this year but we have a four month old and there was a few cases of hand foot and moth disease going around so we had to choose a different resort so we were recommended luxury Bahia principe Akumal. This is a beautiful resort. The roo [... read more]ms are really big and nicely kept. It's a massive resort. U literally have to take a shuttle bus everywhere. There's two other resorts that are contacted with the Akumal resort. We didn't really explore the other resorts as we had a little one travelling with us. So I can't really say anything about them. I know the Cabo resort had a kids pool section. We checked it out quickly. It was nice. Lots to do for the kids but just not our little one yet. I know tulum the other resort had one shopping huts. Which was nice if ur looking for some keep sakes. The bus ride from the airport to the resort was an hour and a half. So it was a little bit always but not too bad. I like to look out the window so the time went by fairly quickly. When we got to the resort check in was a long process. It took us awhile to check in. Than when we finally were checked in we had to take a shuttle bus to our room without our luggage. They said they would bring our luggage to our room in a few mins. We got to our room n waited for our luggage to come. It was taking awhile. Our little one was hungry and needed a bum change n nap time. We had to call the front desk a few times to get our luggage to us. That was a disappointment. But not a big deal. We finally received our luggage. Our room was really nice n we were able to get a play pen for our daughter to sleep in ;) We had a stroller with us for our daughter and the villa that we stayed in which was by the ocean was not wheel chair or stroller friendly. There wasn't a ramp for us to go up n down we had to keep picking up the stroller to get in n out of our villa. Which was annoying but yet again not a big deal. I'm assuming they would have wheel chair assessable rooms. But I'm not sure. I also found that the resort isn't really wheel chair or stroller friendly. Some specialty resorts did not have ramps to get in. We went to the Italian and French restaurant. The Italian restaurant did not have a ramp and there was a lots stairs that we had to take the stroller up. The Italian restaurant is connected to the seafood restaurant which does have a ramp just not sure if u can get to the Italian restaurant thro the seafood restaurant. Also the French restaurant which also had alota steps did not have a ramp. But we did discover that u can go thro the buffet to the main lobby to use a ramp. What I'm trying to say is if u have a stroller or wheel chair u literally have to take the long way around to get anywhere. For us it wasn't a big deal just more annoying. The food at the French restaurant was really good. The Italian one was okay. And we went to the seafood restaurant which was good. The French restaurant was so good we went back twice lol.... There are 16 specialty restaurants within the three resorts. We liked the beach. It wasn't ur typical beach but we liked how there was no seaweed n that there wasn't waves. They had a section blocked off. It was perfect for our little one but the water didn't get really deep so if u like the typical ocean swimming than this beach isn't for u. Everything bout our stay was good. The room service throughout our stay was good. When we needed water they always brought it to our room. The drinks where also good. The nightly entertainment was good. You had ur choices of wat u would like to watch between the three resorts. The Michael Jackson was our favourite show to watch along with the opra show. The maids would do a good job cleaning our room. We would always leave a tip for them. On our last day two of my daughters drinking bottles dissappeared. Not sure if they got thrown out (don't know how u would mistaken a bottle from garbage ) or they got taken. We even tipped the maid 5 bucks that day since it was our last day. We were greatly disappointed as we had a whole day of travelling the next day. And we were gonna run outta formula for my daughter. We did report the incident but there was nothing they could do. They couldn't even replace our bottles since they didn't have any on the resort. So on our way home we had to buy water to wash our daughters bottles at the airport in the bathroom. I was not happy bout that. We always travel to luxury resorts n this is the first time anything like this has happened. Therefore we will not be returning to this resort instead we will travel back to the royalton . Although it was a nice stay the last day kinda ruined it.

Riu Tequila: Excellent food, beach and service

Rooms and grounds are clean. Friendly staff. EXCELLENT food. Beautiful beach half hour walk to Playa Del Carmen. Not a resort for non smokers, beach, lobby, balcony, grounds Lots of fume emission from motorize sport at beach.

Riu Santa Fe: Very nice, resort.

Hotel and grounds very clean, Great food, and wonderful friendly staff. Younger crowd, but it gave our slightly older crowd some good entertainment. Second floor is better, less noise. The seafood at the restaurants was a nice treat.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful Resort

Grounds were beautiful and well kept. Rooms were good. Lots of options for food which was nice - can always find something you like. Pools and beach were beautiful! Staff was friendly and hard working. Overall a great week!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing vacation!)

Beautiful grounds, excellent food, great service, wouldn't change a thing. So many choices when it came to restaurants and loved how you have access to all the other resorts as well! Loved the waterpark, shows were really good, couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Would love to back soon!) we stayed in Akumel and we loved it!)

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Faboulas hotelvacation

I can't think of a single bad thing about this resort. Nice rooms, beautifully kept grounds , clean, delicious food, friendly staff, great bartenders, nice beach. Lots of activities to keep you busy, as well as quiet areas if you would like!

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: RIU Fabulous

The Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas was fabulous. Beyond excellent staff, so clean, variety of foods, entertainment, never a boring moment. Sit at the quiet pool on a slow day and then the action pool when you are ready to party. Such a variety of drinks to enjoy at the poolbar or just sitting around. The Camel ride excursion was fun not to mention the Tequila tasting during our authentic Mexican lunch. Great staff there. Be prepared to pay large for pictures on the camel though. Las Palmas by the Sea: A good budget hotel if you're not too fussy.

The beach area was unattainable because there were not enough beach loungers which were always taken. The red flag was always flying in any case. The area around the adult pool was very pretty. The pool was large enough. There was absolutely no music at all except at the overcrowded kiddie pool and was very loud. Appropriate music at the adult pool would have been very welcome. The food was edible except for anything that contained protein such as chicken, fish or meat. No bacon at all - a disap [... read more]pointment. Lots of fruit in the morning which was very enjoyable as well as omelettes prepared to order. The flank steaks aka beef tornadoes at the a la cartes were too tough to eat and the soup lukewarm but everything else okay. Our room was quite clean, the bed not soft by any means but we were able to manage sleeping in them. The common areas such as walkways, stairwells and main lobby area could certainly do with a thorough scrub up. They need cleaning and refinishing to a large degree. The staff were friendly and worked hard. Alcohol used in the drinks as well as the mix were very low grade and I found them almost undrinkable so therefore drank very little. The time share fellow no longer spoke to us after we refused to attend his presentation at the new hotel. I was very surprised that throughout the 2 week stay, the clientele consisted of around 99% Mexicans with lots of children. They were polite, gracious and reserved. We saw only 3 Caucasians.

Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa: Nice Resort

The resort was nice, the food and service was great, however the drinks were okay and night time entertainment was so far from the lobby. It would have been nice if the resort was set-up in away that all the restaurants and bars were central the lobby area. The seating was uncomfortable and so was the bed. The room was nice, however the air conditioner could have been better.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Very good resort...lots of fun and relaxing!!!

We stayed 5 nights at Tulum. We stayed at the Coba before but wanted to stay closer to the beach. We arrived at the airport at 12 and didn't arrive at the hotel until 3:00 and check in and trying to make dinner reservations took an hour, which we couldn't get any at all. Had to eat at the buffet every night..it was good, but disappointed being our second time here as well, we couldn't eat at an a la carte. By the time we found a snack bar, it was 4:30, hinry after not eating since 8am!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Simply Awesome!

Stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal from May 5th to May 12th. We had a fabulous time. From arrival to departure, this resort exceeded our expectations. The grounds, restaurants, bathrooms and rooms are CLEAN. The food is very good, and there is a nice variety in the buffets. As for the a la cartes, WOW - Try the Japanese, and the Italian. I also heard the French as wonderful, but did not try it myself. As a side note, this place is BIG, not that it's a problem, but there is just so much t [... read more]o do. Read your program guide, download the app to book your a la cartes. This might help you not miss out on things. We were still discovering stuff on day 5 - LOL. Book with confidence and enjoy.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Fabulous resort

Was prefect. Where ever we went on the grounds .Very nicely manicured ,from the grass ,trees ,brushes. In the evening the care takers maDE sure everywhere was cleaned up all chairs put back they even washed the decks by the pool. And they really catered to their guests.wonderful place to go to.

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Beautiful, relaxing resort!

The hotel was so beautiful. The drinks were great and made with fresh juices. The food was good and the service was great. We had Oscar serving us around the pool and he always went above and beyond for us. Our room was very nice and the AC worked beautifully! This is not a place to party...if you want to do that, I would recommend staying elsewhere. We went to relax and loved the resort. Can't wait to go back!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing Vacation! 5* experience for sure!

We had an amazing time at the Grand Bahia Principe Coba. The staff was very friendly, the grounds/rooms were very clean and well kept, daily/nightly entertainment was always available (and the resort was only about a 30 min drive to playa del carmen and other popular excursions) with a good variety and the food was incredible with a lot of variety as well (at the buffet and at the a la carte's- especially at the Mediterráneo, our favourite). We weren't too concerned, but we did find it a bit ri [... read more]diculous that it cost extra money for the safe. I have been to many resorts and have never had to pay extra for a safe. The pool was great and lots of activities during the day, however we really enjoy going to the beach but found there were a lot of sharp rocks in the water at the beach. Luckily we found a small area with fewer rocks. Other than that, everything was wonderful and the resort was beautiful. We had an unforgettable experience and would not hesitate to return to the Grand Bahia Principe Coba :)

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Too Many Children

The staff is amazing Bartolo and Carmen at El Fogon greated us everyday with a smile and 2 Mimosas and thank-you Bartolo for the gift I will always treasure it you made us feel like Familia! Alejandra you helped me so much and every problem I encountered was fixed immediately..loved that you took time to chat with me and you truly made our stay memorable! This resort is v [... read more]ery nice but it was not a place for singles there were babies crying even at the restaurants at 11pm which for us spoiled our enjoyment of the resort.I would only recommend this resort to people with young children.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Amazing Resort!!!!

The Hotel is exceptional. Great decor, very clean and typically great service. There is lot's to do but I went there to relax and did just that. Food was also the best I've had in my 30 + years of traveling

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Excellent Resort

Grounds were great. Pools were well maintained. Food was excellent. Room needed a little work. Bugs in room. The service was very good. Staff was helpfull catered to whatever you needed. Check-in was a little disapointing because the flight was early and the room wasn't ready.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Palladium Vallarta

Highest caliber food we have ever experienced at a resort. Mexican food 5* and Mexican beef especially prime rib WOW. Pools in excellent shape. Small thing Beach needs a tractor to remove sea weed volume. Staff is 6*. Grounds are stunning! Love the Eco resort style and the resorts botanical garden paths and the animal rehabilitative zoo. Saw a beach wedding reception WOW!

The Pyramid Cancun: beautiful location and hotel but disappointing

The hotel was gorgeous, the rooms were clean and well kept. The resort grounds are truly lovely but everything else was a little disappointing. The food was very plain and not good at all. It was hard to find anything without a map as the resort is massive. There were no loungers that you could take to a spot on the beach either which I thought was odd. It's definitely a bit of a party place and not for someone looking for a quiet holiday.
