Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Caribbean Paradise

My seventh trip to this resort since 2010 and again it did not disappoint! Following a quick getaway at the airport we were able to enjoy a most enjoyable 7 day stay in Paradise. This resort continues to outdo itself in its splendid natural beauty and its well laid out and easily accessible, well kept villas. The grounds are always well maintained, litter is as rare as sightings of the dodo bird and the grounds staff is both friendly and accommodating. Fine dining got its name here, as both the quantity and the quality of food is exceptional, topped only by the customer service excellence of the staff. The staff always greet you with their warm, caring smiles! They are passionate in ensuring that you enjoy every meal to the fullest. The management team is there to serve you, and is fully committed to doing just that- they were visible and helpful throughout our week - they talk the talk and walk the walk!

Occidental Punta Cana: Had a great time!

This is a nice resort. Beach is nice. It is a little rough at times it wasn't calm at all the week we were there. Rooms are clean and that's all I really care about. Never saw a bug!! Food was good but didn't really bother with the A la cart. Customer service sucks!!! Front desk wasn't always nice until we tipped her. Then she was nicer. Terrible service in the main dining area. Have your lunch at the beach buffets it's better and the service is great!!! Plus you can't beat the view!!

Vista Sol Punta Cana: First time there

The room was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful . Very clean and we'll groomed grounds. It's a great resort except for the buffet and coffee. (breakfast was okay). The a la carte restaurants were very good. The ocean was great as well as the pool and the evening entertainment was fun.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful resort!

After a few minor hiccups to start, we had an amazing vacation! The resort is stunning...paradise!! The rooms are huge and comfortable. The staff is mostly friendly and polite. The food is outstanding. Overall...highly recommended!

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Great option for all inclusive

The hotel was maintained daily, friendly staff, great crew of entertainers. Food wasn't the best but was fresh. Rooms were always cleaned daily and mini bar stocked daily. Beautiful beach access and great pool side options to catch the sun. It's a great hotel for the value, I would recommend upgrading your package to gain wifi perks!

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Good mid-priced resort

The resort is average. Buffet is similar to others. Al la cartes were quite good, although you did feel rushed in the Mexican and Italian restaurants. The grounds are nice, beach and pools are all nice and the drink selection is quite good. Rooms are average. A good choice if you don't want to pay for a higher priced resort in Dominican.

TRS Turquesa: Fabulous Adults Only Resort

As always this is a fabulous resort. Traveled Jan 4-11, 2015. Quick check in. Greeted with cool towel and cold drink. Room was not ready as we were there at 12:30 Check in is 3:00 but our room was ready earlier. Escorted by bell hop to our swim-up suite. Building 54. Very nice room. Now to the pool just outside our balcony door. The pumps were not on, and did not seem to be cleaned as there was lots of long dark hairs in the pool and small bugs and the pool never smelled clean. Fresh water did n [... read more]ot seem to be filling into the pool. It was slimy. We mentioned this to our Butler and he passed on the information. They say they clean the pools before we even get up in the morning. ?????? Pool was still slimy and very slippery. The main adult pool always smelled like chlorine and just smelled cleaner than our pool. In a nutshell the pool by the swim up suites were not as clean as I would have hoped they would be. Kind of disappointed in that. Restaurants were great, great buffet for breakfast. |Great servers in the restaurants. Just remember that your dollar goes a very long way down there. You do not need to tip always but it buys you greater service. ENJOY !!!!!!!

Grand Bavaro Princess: WOW with a capital W!!!!

The rooms make you feel like Royalty! The staff are absolutely lovely but I did hear of some theft at a wedding. Sad. The ala cartes were good except the Chinese. Service slow and food cold. But the Japanese is an absolute MUST experience. Even the buffets were fabulous. Wished we found the one down by the beach for breakfast sooner. It was magical watching the ocean while you enjoyed morning coffee.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Fabulous for families, but 3 items of caution

Overall, if planning a family vacation, especially with little kids, one week at this resort is perfect!! And excellent value, especially with Air Transat Room Tip: The tropical suites are like a room and a half with a separated area that has a pullout or where you could put a crib. Closest thing you are likely to find to a suite at this price.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Misinformes

The hotel lounge and grounds were very nice. It was listed as a 5 star, But today's standards are far different then before when this hotel was built. Rooms were not equal to rating. We booked thinking we were going to recieve Royal treatment as we were informed by our agent, but this was not the case. We were not able to visit other Bahia resorts, however the accompanying resorts were able to come to ours which was slightly bigger, Because of all the other guest. It was always packed. I was sadly mislead by my agent and some of the print on their web site. Being a part of the royal golden club did not give us any advantages. It was embarassing. We turned our bracelets over... I actually saw lots Of ppl do the same. The tub was yellow:( If you speak the language it helps. The people do not seem to want to go over and beyond. Basic help at best. Except for the preformers. You can tell they train hard. They seem to enjoy what they do. We payed almost $3000. I don't have a money tree!! I spoke to the manager, she did help us. After lots of work on our part. We paid to relax not to discuss our room and other situations not worth mentioning. I guess I really expected 5 star. It felt like.... 2 star in a 3.5 star resort. With a 4.5 star lobby. Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: worst resort I have been to

The rooms have mould in them. The staff didn't come to evaluate the problem. the rooms are very out dated and were not clean upon initial entry. There was filth on the outside of the bathtub from previous guests. The breakfasts were disgusting. Boiled potatoes,peas carrots, peas and carrots mixed,corn boiled yucca,spinach,squash,beans,hot dogs that they call sausages and boiled eggs with flies floating in it's bath of water. When explaining to the manager that hot dogs shouldn't be labelled as s [... read more]ausages,the next day the sign read "hot dogs". When showing the food manager these issues , he said the flies die when they hit the water. He then attempted unsuccessfully to remove them with the serving spoon, and walked away. The deli sliced cooked ham was severely dried up on the edges. This was every day. I had the runs for three days before trekking into town to the pharmacy to get a prescription. Most of the people I talked to at the resort also had fallen ill because of the food. I will never go to a BE LIVE resort again. The staff doesn't care about health and safety, weather it be mouldy rooms or substandard food. Stay clear of this resort.

Rooms were nice. Beds are hard. Grounds are very nice. Beach was covered in seaweed. Shows start too late for kids. Nice staff. Water park was good. Venders are too pushy. The weather was great. It only rained at night. The party boat was great but you should pay cash for all excursions so you don't get taxed twice.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: One word: Awesome!

My husband and I, my 20 year old son and 18 year old daughter spent 7 nights there. We had an amazing time. The rooms were clean, the food fabulous, the activities super fun. The staff were excellent. A special shout out to Danny the "towel boy" who charmed us with his smile.

Riu Bambu: great resort

The grounds were beautiful. The food was excellent. I really enjoyed the pool. The rooms were okay a little disappointed there were no machines in the rooms. Overall a great stay. I'm not as big on Punta Cana. I perfer La Romana. But would go back to a Rui

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great place!!!

Wonderful ocean, great pools, lots of chairs, great food and fun entertainment! Will go back again. Had a great time in this small resort. Allowed you to see the same people again and again and make great friends.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Just what we needed

The hotel was very clean and up to date. Always stocked with everything we needed. Pools were awesome. A variety at each of them including different genres of music and entertainment. Lots of excursions to choose from. The food was excellent! The Rock Spa was FANTASTIC!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Very pleased with the resort

The resort was very well kept. Accommodations were excellent and clean. Good service everywhere.The grounds are beautiful, and maintained daily.The food was very good. We ate at some of the special restaurants as well, and found them very good. The beach and restaurants there were clean and the food was of good quality.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Nice

Loved that the main restaurant and pool were on the beach and that the beach was lit up and usable at night. We traveled as a group of 6 which included two children. We all had a very nice time. The beach was beautiful.

food was good 90% of the time - lots of sun shine - resort is clean rooms are nice - not enough lawn chairs for beach or pool since people seems to get up sat 7 am to reserve them ( i even got pictures of that that i'm happy to share with you ) 4 to 5 times a day i got approched for time share ( every day ) that i did not like ( very bothersome ) i would warn people about this if i recommended the hotel ===

Grounds were absolutely beautiful...food was ok.. Got sick from the Asian a-la-carte..so I wouldnt recomment ordering shrimp..because everyone else didnt get sick..But all they other a-la-cartes were very good..especially the Japenese!!!!!
