Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: fun in the sun

4 of us went - the resort was clean and the service was great the food was excellent, but the beach was bad, and there wasn't any adult entertainment which I really like.we had a great time and the week went to fast.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great resort

Very clean, well groomed resort. All staff were very friendly. Room was very nice. Only bad thing, when the air conditioning was on the room did smell mouldy. Trolley cars came often, very little waiting, easy to get to other hotels.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Barcelo Mayan Palace Deluxe

this was my 3rd time to the Palace and always loved it. The Palace staff are amazing, friendly and honest. The only complaint I have is that they replaced the little trolley with a bus which gets pretty hot sitting inside going to the other Barceló resorts. We spent our time at the Adult pool or at the beach relaxing and feeling pampered. There is so much to do that you never really have to leave the resort. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Cape Breton Family Wedding 2016

I would have to say that this is one of the most Beautiful Resorts that I have ever been to... It's not too big, easy to get around.. All the Staff are VERY Friendly, and VERY helpful. Rooms are big, nice and clean, with a well stocked bar fridge. Food is delicious no matter where you eat, no complaints about the food.. The beach is beautiful along with the pool and lazy river... Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Wonderful Vacation!

I loved this resort! Food was very good with lots of variety. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the adult only select section and thought it was awesome. The only thing I would say that's negative is that they need a bar that is accessible to the people so they don't need to rely solely on the service staff who are doing the best they can given the volume. Lol Perhaps some music too and the odd pool game from time to time as well. We understand that it's the adult only pool but it doesn't mean we're dead...it just means we don't want screaming children around when we drink and play! ☺

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Service is amazing!

This resort has incredible staff. They are top notch when it comes to service! The room was very nice. As were the pools and gardens. Food was the best we've encountered at an all inclusive. But in saying that we did have some dinners that were not as good as the others. We didn't like the beach, and for us, that would mean we would not return. We are used to long strolls on white sand and clear turquoise water. It was too rough and dirty looking to go in. We knew that going in but thought we'd  [... read more]give it a try. The other problem we encountered was the noise. It is very loud in the hallways. And also the music coming from one area would be great but between the lobby bar at both Secrets and Now Amber as well as weddings or events at the pools it was insane. Four different types of music echoing off the walls is a bit much.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Awesome resort

Everything was fabulous! From the rooms to the pools. The beach was very nice! The service was very good. The entertainment team was very good as well. The a la cartes provide great service and food! The buffet restaurant had lots of choices and there was a lot of variety. Mikes coffee shop was a nice added feature to the resort. Route 66 offered some good midnight snacks. The spa service was great and relaxing.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good resort

Pool and beach are very good. Food was amazing. Room was very clean. The Dolphin's show was not so good. And photos with dolphins were very expensive 80$ per 3! The Hotel is very huge. Using trail is uncomfortable. Buffet and restaurants doesn't have AC.

Grand Sunset Princess: Great holiday

My daughters and I enjoyed our week at the resort. The food was delicious , so many restaurants to choose from. The swim up room was the best. The beach was perfect for taking long walks. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We would go back again.

Grand Sunset Princess: Great Vacation !

This was my third trip to the Mayan Riviera but my first time at this resort. Our family prefers large resorts as there seems to be more of a variety so this resort appealed to us in many ways. The grounds are beautiful...lots of wildlife. If you are a pool person then you will love it here as there are many to choose from. I am a beach person myself and although I loved the beach area and setup, I did however find some smaller rocks in the water. I would only give the beach an 8/10 for this rea [... read more]son. The rocks are manageable, but I just don't like it. We stayed in Playacar at the RIU last year and the beach there is a 10/10. The Playacar area in general has the best beach strip in the Mayan. Now for food. We were happy with most of the choices but I found the food at the RIU last year to be a step up in variety and quality. All in all I would give the food an 9/10. Overall, the vacation was a 9/10 for me. We had great value for our money and as I mentioned the resort is beautiful.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Wonderful Resort

We were a group of 6 sisters on vacation for a week beginning Apr.17/16. Three of these had been on a trip to Africa last year and loved it. The jungle and animal atmosphere at this resort with its own eco tours, ruins and cenotes was especially appealing. We were not disappointed. The grounds were absolutely stunning. Lush vegetation and jungle-like surroundings were evident all through the walking paths and trails. We got up early to explore the trails before it became too hot, had breakfast and then headed to the beach for swimming and sun bathing. We stayed in the adult section and enjoyed the pool in this area as well. Our rooms were lovely although there could be more drawers or shelves for storage. Beds were comfortable and the maids were great. We loved the a la carte dining. We tried every restaurant except the vegetarian and loved them all-especially the Italian. The service at each one was amazing - as it was everywhere from check in to check out! Four of the girls took one trip to the Tulum ruins and enjoyed it, but we found that there was so much to do at this resort that we really didn't have to leave. Although we didn't use it, this place seemed to have the most active childrens club I've seen down south-they even had some of the children in their evening shows which were all geared for families. Our favourites were the Heroes, Freddie Jackson and the Disney type show. The weather was great every day and we had an amazing time!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: High five for Azul Fives

This is a great resort. There are several pools all of which have a swim up bar and or food nearby. The main pool is beautiful and overlooks the beach. Well situated with several good food options in the main pool/ beach area. Pool activities are fun and well spaced out throughout the day. Pool chairs were comfortable. We also loved sitting at the beach- especially in the swing beds. What more could you want when relaxing on the beach! Kids club was excellent. Good staff and nice choice of daily [... read more] and evening activities. Adult activities were also good ie yoga by the beach. The food was of a very high quality for an all inclusive. Great job. The view from the Italian restaurant was great. The Mexican seafood place by the beach was great for lunch. The Thai restaurant serves surprisingly good dinner. The brasserie was very good and the breakfast is very nice there. The main buffet at flavours serves great Mexican. Bar 1917 had an excellent bartender and cute Mexican atmosphere. The only restaurant that disappointed was meso. Room was very large and we got upgraded. We choose older rooms closer to the pool and beach. The room was fine. Some upgrades would be nice but location and space were excellent and the room was pretty decent. The newer rooms look pretty but are further and smaller. Choose what better suits your needs. I think for families the larger older rooms are better. Overall we had an excellent stay and would recommend this resort.

Riu Cancun: Great resort

Very clean resort with amazing staff. Every room has a beautiful ocean view. Pools were great ranging from a waist deep pool bar to 5'5" deep infinity pool looking over the ocean. The buffet was great, everyday lunch seemed to be the same but there was so much to choose from you couldent go wrong.

Catalonia Yucatan: Fantastic Week At Catalonia Yucatan...Give It Try!

Stayed on the Yucatan Beach side, with privileged upgrade, 2nd floor oceanfront room. This resort is quite compact, which makes it easy and fast to get anywhere. I feel that the upgrade was worth it. I mostly upgraded for the oceanfront view, but got some other perks along with it, like use of the privileged section of the beach, super service at the Pure Chill Out bar, coupons for a free spa service, and an extra 4th a la carte dinner. There weren't many spare outlets in the room, so if you have more than 2 electronic devices, maybe bring an outlet splitter. The food was GOOD! A nice selection at the buffets & snack bar, with something for everyone. Basics like burgers, hot dogs, pizza, and fries - to seafood & steak. Lots of vegetable dishes, Mexican dishes, rice, pasta, soups, and bread choices. Breakfast had the usual eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, plus lots of sweet choices like pancakes, waffles, and donuts! The beach was gorgeous. Swimming was very nice. There is a break wall that keeps the swimming area fairly calm. No vendors selling stuff. No timeshare people. Nobody bothered us at all. Only the waiter or bartender asking if we wanted another drink. I saved the best for last! The staff. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly above my expectations. There was a small problem with the safe in our room, and the power went out twice. Both issues were fixed right away, within 10 minutes of letting the front desk know about it. I usually want to try new places for each of my vacations, but I had such a nice time, that the Catalonia Yucatan has given me a good reason to consider going twice!

Grand Palladium Colonial: Another amazing visit to Palladium

My 5th visit to Grand Palladium RM. Delighted to see many upgrades and improvements such as renovated rooms, more comfortable beds, awesome free wifi across the resort, and even better food. Can't wait to return again!!

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Could have been better

The nightly entertainment was very poor. The room service was very frustrating. Our room was never stocked with drinks, toilet paper etc. The front desk people did not understand English which was very frustrating.

Tropicana Hotel: Great location, pretty good accomodations

Location is 10/10; five minute walk from downtown and the boardwalk. No Wifi in rooms, and wifi just okay in common areas. They gave us a double bed instead of two singles, which is what we booked, but we managed okay. Also there was some confusion about check out time so make sure you understand when exactly you have to check out for.

Grand Oasis Sens: Not great for mobility challenged

Good hotel, however there were too many stairs with the elevator not going down to the floor the buffet was on thus 31+ steps to get there & no A/C in that area. People were calling this "The sweat box". I passed out at the buffet my first night there because of the heat! Service/rooms/restaurants were all good. Hallways were too dark, more lighting in most areas including the lobby would be great. Also lots of steps to get to the beach. Stairs are a bit of a challenge for my Mom who is 88! Grand Palladium Colonial: Amazing resort....something for everyone!

This is my 4th visit to Grand Palladium Riviera Maya and I was not disappointed! I noted improvements in food quality (which is very good to begin with) and overall service from my last visit. This resort is great for families, couples or groups of friends. Each time I return I marvel at the beauty of the resort. They left much of the lushness of the forest in tack when they built the resort so you don't realize how big and sprawling it is.
