Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Excellent Choice

For a family of five, with three young adults, it was a great resort. It was very clean, lovely suites; the staff were very friendly, professional and helpful, and the food and beverages were very good.

Punta Cana Princess: Great resort

Resort was clean, rooms were very nice but no drawers for storing clothes. Ocean view room (not) misleading, pool view. Bed was not comfortable (too worn), asked for extra pillows but did not receive. Staff did not speak English and played favourites with some guests (they got all of the attention).

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Ist time All-Inclusive & we went @ Christmas!

As 1st all-inclusive travelers, we went with absolutely no expectations. West Jet via Ottawa direct to Punta Cana was fantastic, we walked off the plane into sun and "ola" and onto a bus for a quick trip to the resort. The ocean view rooms were spacious (we received 2 side by side!!!) and with a tall palm in front we also had the pleasure of a constant breeze. I found the cleaning staff reluctant to replace towels with new ones or ensure we had enough toilet paper until they realized I was leavi [... read more]ng daily gifts. For our last 3 days we had plenty of towels, lots of toilet paper and they left flowers for us and prettied the bed. We dined in the main dining hall for the 1st 3 days until we realized we needed to reserve @ other restaurants. The Brazilian and Gourmet were our favorites. Richards from the main dining halls was a joy to meet and get to know. He is a wonderful ambassador for Be Live Hotels. The beach was simply fantastic. I was always the 1st one out in the AM to reserve chairs and it was always in order and clean. I miss the beach. Our last 2 days were spent at the pool which was fun. Extremely clean and very refreshing. At no point did I ever feel like I was at a busy resort. It is unknown to me if the resort was at capacity, but at no point did I ever feel like it was.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: a nice resort

Our flight was delayed 3 hrs. I was in a wheelchair. When we arrived at the airport one bag of luggage was missing on a direct fight from toronto Canada. When we arrived very late for check in. There were no rooms available. I paid extra for a 'superior room'. We finally got a room after midnight. Keep in mind I was Transported by wheelchair due to a back injury. Our room was under construction. My travel mate got locked in the bathroom because the door handle was missing plus the toilet wouldn' [... read more]t flush. Next day we asked for another room but none were available at that time. Later that day we checked out another room that was better but Certainly was not a 'superior' room. It overlooked the shipping receiving area to the hotel and beach merchants. The resort is very nice. If I had have got the room and view that I paid for due to my back injury. The trip would have been a complete success

IFA Bavaro Village: Beautiful resort

The restaurants were very nice. The buffet could have had more fresh fish and salad items. The Christmas Eve dinner was amazing and champagne was included - champagne should have been included all the time. The housekeeping service was excellent - beautiful room layout - biggest room complaint: poor lighting/mirrors (very difficult for make-up or contact lenses). The wi-fi, which was $40 per week per person, was terrible - wi-fi should be included.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: TERRIBLE RESORT *FOOD POISONING*

this resort is described as a 4 plus star however they should be lucky to have 3 stars. I am a sous chef with many years experience and I have to say I am very upset about what the hotel actually looked like when I got there. The food for one is about 2 Star service our first day there i found toilet paper in the iceberg lettuce at the snack bar. The second day we ate and at night I started throwing up and having severe stomach cramps with diarrhea about 4 hours after i ate. This is what food po [... read more]isoning feels like. I was sick for 4 days and my boyfriend was sick two days after me. On our last day we were both feeling better and finally went to go eat we bit into a piece of chicken nugget only to see RAW COMPLETELY RAW chicken inside! SALMONELLA is no joking matter and at that moment I knew why we were sick. The problem is that nobody really cared SUNWING adviser laughed in our face saying it was probably outside food. (we didnt eat outside) All in all NOT RECOMMENDED whatsoever. The drinks are also quite terrible, the wine undrinkable, and the grounds havent been very well maintained since the resort has opened it seems. GOOD LUCK!

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Very disappointing

While the grounds, pool and beach were fine, the food and the means of obtaining it were anything but. The room and the bathroom were old with no pressure on the old fashioned shower. I will be in to talk personally to the travel agent as I believe I did not get the product I requested and it was vastly overpriced.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Wonderful Week!!

Just got back from a wonderful week away! My husband and I went with our two daughters, their boyfriends and my Mother. A good time was had by all! There was definitely something for everyone on our diverse group. We were at the resort for New Years Eve and they went all out-- one of the best New Years I've had to date!! What a fun night and the food was incredible. But the whole week was filled with fun and positive experiences. Another day the whole group went out on the catamaran excursion and had such a great time. It was nice to get out on the water and see enjoy the beautiful scenery! The rooms were fantastic and the hardworking staff was friendly and always willing to help in any way.We enjoyed the buffet as well as the restaurants on site. Overall, I would highly recommend! A beautiful, very clean resort. Great staff, great food. Lots to do even if what you choose to do is nothing at all! There are many quiet sections on the beach for total peace and relaxation as well as quiet pools. Thank you for a fabulous time. Look forward to returning!!

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Great Family Resort

We found the resort clean, even though this resort is for familes with kids because the water park is not in the main area we found the resort pleasant because we did not have kids there but were not overrun by kids because those families were at the water park all day. The food was good (never got sick) Had all the things needed to relax and enjoyed the trip.

Riu Palace Bavaro: Not worth the money!

Beach was nice,pools were dirty,the resort was small so easy to get around.Service was mediocre,entertainment staff is pleasant.Shows were good.Food is terrible,rooms are terrible.Wine and beverages were terrible.Too expensive for what is offered.Place needs a refacing.Difficulty getting internet access and phone access.Staff does not speak enough english.Definitely not a 5 star as rated.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Fabulous Holiday!!!

My wife and I spent 7 perfect days at this resort. We loved the grounds, the beach, the pools, the service and the food was top shelf !!! We are already planning our trip for the same time next year.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Wonderful access for handicap needy

We found our room to be adequate. Unfortunately we asked for a handicap room with at least a grab bar in the shower and didn't get one so they brought a bath chair. Which collapsed on a daily basis. Our travelling companions found their room very noisy.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Very relaxing stay

Easy transfer from Airport, we were greeted with a cool drink , Rooms Room was facing the Ocean -Amazing view, AC did not work with the card they give you so called and within 10 min gave me a new card ----worked like a charm .Rooms were clean and bed comfy, Make sure you ask for a remote for the TV when checking in or as soon as you can , they are not in the rooms and apparently in DR thier is a TV remote shortage, Food & Drinks Only ate at the Buffet , it was very good always a new entre avai [... read more]lable-i.e Turkey -chicken , ham, Roast Beef----,Service was good , no complaints, Mainly drank Beer and wine , very cold ( bring a bubba or travel mug very small cups) Beach very nice , great view , you can walk for miles , Vendors can get a little tiresome but simple no thanks and they leave My Wife and i wanted a nice relaxing do nothing but sit on the beach and have a few drinks vacation , for the price we paid it did the trick

Grand Bavaro Princess: great resort

hotel was very nice , rooms were great, stayed in the delux ...food was good (not great, but better then cuba) service was very good , nightlife wasn't very good other then hanging out at the lounge or going to casino/ disco (off resort but sort of connected and by shuttle) I'd recommend going to coco bongo if you like to party and see great entertainment . beach had seaweed all over sand and in water which was annoying , other then that it was fantastic.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great Family Resort

Tropical gardens with lush foliage, rooms are spacious and clean, buffet has many options for adults and kids alike. The beach area is a little tight for space, so if you are looking for peace and quiet without children, book an adults-only resort.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Good Family Resort

Had a good time with my 12 year old daughter....Food was good, room nice. Waterpark added a different element to a resort then I am used to and it was a good waterpark and none of the lineups you see at waterparks here! Was a great way to break up the day. Had room key problems and a heck of a storm the first night...ground floor rooms beside us were flooded and we couldn't get into our room for almost 2 hours...That was the first day there and with my daughter tired and the flooding she got ups [... read more]et waiting outside the room...Only other "concern" was the tub wouldn't drain while showering had to call multiple times to get the drain cleared...and although they helped it they never fully fixed the problem. But even with that being said the value and the fun by far out weighed the minor difficulties... I will look at going again. Ocean Blue and Sand: Had a great time loved it

it was wonderful the staff were great my time was perfect the place was very clean , the ocean front needed some repair but the pool was wonderful keep up the great work I was there 3 years ago and was not happy but decided to try again and glad I did

Paradise Playa Dorada: Loved the Resort!

The hotel was very nice, rooms clean, food was great! and very friendly staff! The beach was amazing, all sand no rocks, the only annoying part were the people on the beach that kept trying to sell us stuff.

Occidental Caribe: Disappointed

Nice pools and restaurants, but the rooms need renovations, specially the bathrooms. The service was very slow most of the time and many scheduled activities started late, yet once we were a bit late for dinner at the restaurant and the waitresses was very arrogant and almost didn't let us in.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Amazing and beautiful resort

This was the best vacation so far. Resort is absolutely beautiful and very clean. The food was absolutely amazing with many different varieties for all kinds of tastes. The staff are very friendly and outgoing and professional. The room was very clean and the resort was family friendly with activities during the day/night to entertain even the younger crowds. We had a problem with the water pressure in our shower which we called the front desk. They fixed the problem by the time we returned from [... read more] the beach and called a few times to make sure that it had been fixed and was working fine. They truly care for their customers and we will be booking our vacation with lifestyle resorts again in the future! The resort is full of hills and stairs so it is not the place for people with mobility issues. There is a shuttle bus that comes around every 10-15 minutes and golf carts for VIP members that will help you get around. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend it!
