Sol Turquesa Beach: Great resort and memories

Amazing time at this resort. Food was great. Staff was somewhat friendly. Lots of stairs. If you have bad knees or legs don't go here. Beach was horrible. Seaweed all over the beach and in the water. Sand was gold and not white like all the beaches around us. Pools were great. Nightly entertainment was boring. The water ballet show was the only real good show. Front reception staff need to be friendlier.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Good resort Good value

Large resort, always lots to do and see. Beautiful beach and some smaller beaches. There is a village not far, do yourself a favour and go to the village for lunch or dinner. 2 beers, 1 shrimp dinner, 1 fish dinner, total cost $ 4.00 . Yes, for everything. If you are a single traveller you will meet lots of new friends. Enjoy,

Playa Costa Verde: Nice people

The rooms are clean. The beds are comfy. Right now the buffet is lacking because of the political problems. The same food every day for a week. They could use more staff. There's a gap. The staff has decade's of experience or none. Depending on who you get.the beach is nice. Decent snorkeling. Pool is good. Staff at the pool are also good. Alot of planned events don't happen. Brisas Guardalavaca: Yes it was an amazing resort!

Beautiful resort, beautiful people who work there! Beautiful beach! Our second visit there and will definately go again! Only slight downfall were the mattresses - seemed old and not comfortable, Food was good but quite repedative. Good Cuban Beer! Cristal!!

Playa Pesquero: A disappointment

We have been to this hotel 7 previous times. The most noticeable le change has been the food selection, in short it was deplorable. Cuba is not known for the greatest food, but in our past visits it was not bad. This time , if you found something you liked it would be gone within 2 to three days. It was as if they put yogurt out for example, and it was a popular item, they wouldn't put it out again. Long story short , we wont be returning to this resort for some time. Ken Milburn

Playa Pesquero: Exceptional resort!!

This was our first time in Cuba and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The service was top notch, food was fantastic, accommodations were immaculate. Everyone helped us with any little thing. Pool is simply spectacular. Beach is so beautiful. Cannot say enough good things about this place. We'll most definitely be back someday soon.

Playa Pesquero: Still a gem

This hotel is still a gem great pool area, fabulous white beach and great a la cartes staff are so friendly, after 15 visits to Cuba this is still my favourite, I have visited this resort 4 times in the last 3years and intend to return Nov 2019, can not say enough about the service, food is as expected on the buffet but the a la cartes exceed themselves rooms are very clean and well stocked with necessities.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Still the same great place

The staff people are still wonderful and friendly, the food varied and delicious, the site spacious and beautiful. After going for 5 years in a row we're looking forward to visiting again next year.

As was the case in four previous holidays, this resort is exceptional in all aspects and most deserving of its 5 star rating. The accommodations along with chambermaid most pleasing and innovative. Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Bad Experience

First night I slept and woke up with a colony of red ants all over my bed and all over the hotel room floors. Next night woke up with a big cockroach waiting for me in the bathroom. Last but not least they ran out of beach towels and the public relations lady knew about the problem but decided to hide in her little cubical with her cockroach friends. Simply put I will never even go back to Club Amigo Amigo Atlantico in holguin Cuba ever.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautiful resort

This is my fifth stay at this resort. Third time in royal service. I love this place. The grounds are wonderful and the staff are amazing. That being said, things were not quite up to par with previous visits. One of our favourite restaurants were closed which limited our food choices and there seemed to be a cut back in staff. Meals in Cuba are often inconsistant due to the lack of supplies but it seemed more so during this visit. Playa Pesquero: Beautiful people and setting

The very best things about this resort in order are: pool, beach, people, weather, grounds, room, and food. We knew not to have high expectations of the food but the quality and selection was worse than expected. My recommendation would be to focus more on offering fewer selections that can be delivered at a higher quality. We paid an additional $260 to upgrade our room and it sounded wonderful but the room had repairs to the bathroom that were sloppily done. Some of the woodwork was in need of [... read more] replacing and a fresh coat of paint would have made a huge difference. The shower was great! The patio was great except there was bird droppings on a chair, located just where your head would rest!! The bed was very comfortable. Entertainment was provided every evening near the coffee bar and that was very enjoyable. Tip to get a good cup of coffee: order an espresso and a cappuccino, drink a bit of the cappuccino and add the espresso. I would only recommend this resort if you are looking for great weather and a great beach.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Wonderful resort

This was our 4th stay here and we have enjoyed the people and the wonderful family atmosphere. The food is excellent very clean pool. The dining room is very spacious and comfortable. Great entertainment. Plan on coming back next year.

Don Lino Hotel: Decent

Accommodations were good. Good rooms. Hot water 24/7. It is a villa not a hotel. The food was ok. Drinks were ok too if you are not picky then you will be fine. Bikes and horseriding included. Beach was not swimmable but decent one 1km away by bike. Overall not bad. You get what you pay for.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Not too bad for the price

Memories resort was ok. Grounds were kept up well, pools were real nice, if you didn't like one, just move to the next one. Not a good resort if your out of shape or have bad knees. A lot of climbing stairs from the bottom pool to the main lobby and buffet. Service was very friendly all over the resort except for the front desk. They always made you feel like you were bothering them, instead of them wanting to help resolve your issue. Front desk was like that pretty much all week. It's Cuba, so  [... read more]buffet quality is ok, you wont starve to death, but make sure you get there earlier than later for all three meals, or else you might be forced to eat stuff out of necessity as apposed to what you actually want. Beach was nice if your not looking for a good snorkeling experience. Not many things to see under the water except one or two straggling fish and lots of sea weed. I noticed quite a few large spiky sea urchins out in the sea weed sections, so you might want to be carful if you venture out into the seaweed in your bare feet. Snack Bar was a joke, we missed lunch one day and headed to snack bar for a bite. When I asked for a menu, the waitress said we only have hamburgers and hotdogs, with no fries and no buns! I got a round "mystery meat" patty with a few slices of tomato and cucumber on the side. I could have lived with that, except I had to spit out every third bite because there was so much cartilage in the "meat". Personally I think the resort is ok, but definitely spread out over too big of an area.

Playa Costa Verde: Great Vacation

The resort was very clean and pool area was awesome. The beach is beautiful and the catamaran rides were so much fun! Rooms are dated but very clean, sometimes there was lukewarm water for showers but other than that not bad at all. Lots to choose from at the Buffet, the only Ala carte restaurant that was good was the Japanese. The staff was very nice and fun.

Playa Costa Verde: Resort was Clean

The resort was very clean but a bit run down. There was a large group of us so we discussed our rooms etc. Most of us did not have hot water, some rooms had no toilet seats, some safes weren't working. There is only 1 large pool which had a lot of children. Also, 1 large eating area where you had to wait in line for cooked eggs, and then wait in line to make your toast. Had to keep waving the flies away because it is all open. The 3 specialty restaurants were booked solid unless you wanted [... read more] to eat at 8 pm or 9 pm. but that may have been because there were so many of us. It may have been better for 2 - 4 people. The beach is bumpy because of the storm they had last January so it's not smooth sand anymore. You need water shoes to go into the water because of all the rocks and coral. Bar service was non existent so you had to go to the bar to get drinks and even then they were slow to serve you.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Second time here

Although it seems the resort has gone down since the last time We were here, it was still a great expirence. They are renovating the older buildings, and they new ones look beautiful. Staff is lovely, food Is typical Cuban food but anyone can find something, beach is still the most beautiful And weather was fantastic. What more can you ask for. We will be going back again.

Best food I have ever had in Cuba, great service, older resort, staff works very hard, grounds well maintained, beautiful beach, amazing pool right by the beach, excellent snorkelling, book a deluxe room, would return for the right price

Playa Costa Verde: A disappointment

Not impressed. Rooms were dated and smelled “stale”. There was very little hot water in my room so showers felt like the temperature of the ocean for 3 out the 7 days we were there. Food was “ok” and entertainment was a joke. Will not be returning to this resort again.
