Grand Palladium Palace: Clean Resort

Overall, the resort and holiday was nice. We had upgraded to a loft suite for the purpose of getting adjoining rooms, and they were unable to accommodate. My son had things stolen from his room (cell phone and $) and the front desk was very indifferent and unaccommodating. Aside from these two issues, the service, food, and resort were all quite nice.

I have been traveling to the Dominican Republic for the past 18 years as well as having spent extended periods of time working on the island. Wyndham Alltra Samana: Great Holiday Vacation

Well maintained resort, clean, good food with a fair variety of options on the menu, friendly staff enjoyed making friends with the photographers, entertainment crew and bar staff, beaches cleaned everyday. Since Resort is on its own Bay, enjoyed the fact that there was little outside intrusion. Great for a relaxing week... ocean is wonderful to swim in at anytime.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: One of the BEST

We liked the size of the resort overall. (Booked in Bldg. 2) Everything was accessible within short walking distance. Service was excellent! Went with a group for a wedding - some upgraded to preferred service which gave some extras but we did not and were happy.

Riu Bambu: wonderful time

I want to start by saying this is my second time at the rui bambu an I just love it there it has everything you would want in an al inclusive resort.It has free 45 min of wifi a day exellent al cartes an the pool is right by the ocean so you can have the best of both worlds if you want.The buffet has everything you could ask for pasta pizza steak pork an fish an a huge salad bar it has a self serve drink coffee pop water so there never line ups.If your looking for a real quiet resort the palace  [... read more]is next door.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Elegant and relaxing resort

I liked the overall architectural design . The way the swimming pool and laguna are all connected and close to the beach created a climate of hospitality, coziness and spaciousness. Service was marvellous as well as food.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Awsome resort

Great hotel, clean room, airport very helpful people, walking distance to go at the buffet and we were also walking distance to the beach and if you dont want to walk you can get a ride we enjoyed playing volleyball. Great buffet for breakfast never have to wait to get food and there is always lot. The only thing I did not like was one of the little store there is no price tags on the items and tgey charge you whatever price and if you say that you will walk away because it is too expensive they [... read more] keep bugging you. The only thing that I could say that the resort could improve on is that they could remind people about some of the free stuff that oeople can do such as the tennis court etc. We always left some if our stuff at the beach and nobody ever stole anything great place to relax

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Not exactly what I expected.

People who like to swim at the beach will be very disappointed. We visited first week in December 2014, the ocean and the beach area was dirty. The accomodation and the food was acceptable, the service was not.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Not a 4 star!

First of all, just to say....We have been to Punta Cana and would definitely go back there again in a second. Peurto Plata, not so much. The nicest things about The Gran Ventana were the room which was ok and the a la carte above the lobby which I believe was call the Octopus. The grounds are very small and are not kept up as in swept or cleaned walkways, everythnig looks like it's cracking and run down including the pool, the beach is covered in seaweed and palm droppings which were not being c [... read more]leaned up, there were hardly any people there and we arrived on a Sunday, thehe main buffet was was very small and small selection of food was just ok. If you are looking for a beautiful resort to have fun at, this is NOT the place. We talked to our Sunwing guide who was great, and moved to the Riu Merengue the day after we arrived in Peurto Plata. I will give the Sunwing reps a good review, they are very helpful and pleasant. At the Riu Merengue things were a lot better! Fun, good food, lots of people. Right beside the Riu Bahata and we could use those grounds too. Grounds were well kept and in spite of the one section of reconstruction of a restaurant area, the Merengue was nice. I will say the rooms and bathrooms and showers were on the small side but the rest of the resort made up for it. The only other downfall at the Riu was that the free internet in the lobby was limited to 90 minutes a day. Come on Riu, really?? So there you have it....if you are going to Dominican Republic, go to Punta Cana where the beach is white sand on the beautiful Caribbean not on the rough Atlantic like Puerto Plata. This is obviously only my opinion but I have been to nicer resorts with better food, service and beaches in Cuba, Mexico and Punta Cana.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Fabulous Alround - Exceeded Expectations

my husband and I were at the Punta Cana Iberostar from December 4-11 2014. Doris, took care of our room, Richard helped us at checkin, Marcos was amazing at the restaurants! Buffet and a la cart restaurants were some of the best we have ever had, and even the red wine was good! would go again and i rarely go back to the same place twice.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Fun, great food and wine

Only good things to say....we were very lucky with blue skies and great temperatures. l was surprised at the quality of good Spanish wine and premium brands alcohol....generally they are watered down, and not the case at all. Food was of well variety and taste. Beach, pool, staff and the Dominican people were all warm and friendly. Truly a great stay, especially with the fantastic price.

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: Yet Another Great Time at this Resort

Even though we were at the Tropical instead of the Confesi Resort . we still had a wonderful time . The resort staff was very respectable and Friendly . We enjoyed the animators even though we missed Speedy but did see him on occasion. A Very special thanks to Papi . Lenny,, Jorge. Romeo and Candy Love . We will try to come back again soon.

TRS Turquesa: That's 5 days we will never get back

Beautiful grounds, big rooms.....and nothing else The beach is wonderful for those wanting shade, but there is little sun due to the number of Palm trees covering the beach area. The food was inedible. The service....wait, was there service? The resort staff barely looked up from their own inter staff socializing to be bothered to serve you. Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Great and relaxing resort

From the moment you step off the shuttle you enter into paradise. Clear and fast check in. Very large and diversified resort, fun, rest, food and service for all tastes and ages. This was my 2nd time at the Palladium Bavaro Resort and Spa and I'm sure there will be a 3rd stay. Cleanliness and impeccable gardens. Rooms are large, exceptionally well maintained and very clean. I can't comment on the pools, except for one that I witnessed a holding a very festive party of soap suds spraying and the crowd going wild. ('m a beach person) The Cathedral Buffet was renovated since my last visit 2010, wow, food for all tastes and appetites. The Arriceff buffet by the beach is excellent. The A la carte restaurants are all excellent. The Hemingway bar very relaxing after a copious meal ;) and served me excellent Porto! Can't wait to return!

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Great Resort

My husband and I stayed at this resort for 6 nights early December. We have travelled to many resorts in this area and thought the rooms were great. Upgraded and spacious -very comfy. The resort was also very clean. Staying at the Suites side you can visit the 2 adjacent resorts (really it's 1 resort with 2 separate hotel buildings sharing the same amenities.) which is great as you can try their nightly shows, shopping, restaurants. We did like the adjacent resort pool better as we found the sui [... read more]tes pool small for the amount of rooms- the loungers were really jammed together and no adults only pool as I had read there was. We thought the food was good but did not try all restaurants, we heard the Mexican was great from people we met and we really liked the Japanese. We found the staff were very friendly. Nightly theme shows were fun and we found the daily entertainment was fantastic. This truly is a a fun resort. We would recommend this to mostly everyone except those looking for an adult only pool/experience. We had a great time!

We really like this hotel. The grounds are very clean and beautiful. The food is good and varied. The staff is very nice. The beach is great but the ocean is not clear but we knew. It is a good value for money.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Top Knotch

This is our second time and again not disappointed. The Location is great, food great, amenities great. If you want a relaxing vacation, this is the place to go. It is an adult only venue and is superbly maintained. The available restaurants give one a change from buffet food if you need that. All in all a value for money resort.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great resort and great people

The resort was very well taken care of and food was great!! It had very friendly staff who were very welcoming. There was always recreational activities to do if you were to stay there for the day. The shows at night were always very entertaining as well.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Everything we could ask for!

We stayed at this resort from Nov 28 to Dec 5, 2014 and it was truly fabulous in all aspects. From the rooms to the food and drinks, to the service including all of the small details like restocking the mini fridge daily, and providing fresh towels. They just seemed to have everything well organized. We have been to several all-inclusives in the past in this category and price range and this Palladium trio was the best so far.
