El Dorado Maroma: Good to Excellent resort

Good place to stay, no kids, very clean, food is very good, good beach, lots of activities in the area, staff are all friendly, only negative thing was if you arrive via a red eye flight you will have to wait until 2-3pm before they will have your room ready.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Fantastic resort!

Everything was just wonderful! The staff were all so friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. The restaurants were clean and the food was super and we tried all of the different ones. There were so many things to do if you wanted to that I didn't even open the book I took with me.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Friendly,casual resort

We had a great vacation at Sunscape. The best thing was the snorkelling right off the beach. The room was average with a poor view (staircase). The bathroom was in need of new fixtures and water leaked all over the floor when using the shower. Maid service was good. They need more people during check in. We met many friendly people from Canada and the US.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing resort

The resort was way more than expected it was clean and well maintained. The staff were the greatest. All amenities absolutely amazing. Would recommend to anyone going there. My husband was totally amazed at how beautiful it was

Paradisus Cancun: The best week at Paradisus Cancun!

The resort was stunning from the moment you walked in. The grounds were beautiful - the beautiful ocean view as you walked down the main stairs was magical. We upgraded when we arrived to get an ocean view room and i would recommend this to anyone - the view when you woke up each morning was breath taking (not to mention the sunrises from you balcony!). A [... read more]lthough the waves were quite large, there is nothing that can be done about that! We still enjoyed the ocean every day. We never went into the pool (I don't go to Mexico for the pools!) but they looks amazing as well. The service staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing. We felt like royalty from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. During the days, we did not once leave our beach chair for a drink - there were servers always on the beach looking after you. With these servers dedication, a small gratuity each time went a LONG way! The resort is also very centrally located with public transit right at your doorstep and all major attractions in Cancun were just a couple minutes away by bus. We loved this resort and absolutely will be back next year!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great trip, but....

I must say I read reviews before I travel and am always amazed at the negativity in some reviews. You know the ones, people taking pictures of rusty pipes under the sink in their room. Seriously. Having said that I don’t want to seem negative about the Luxury Sian Kaan. Honestly it was great but there are a few things you should know before purchasing this property. Access to all the re [... read more]staurants and booking everything on check in was excellent. Had some trouble with getting 730-8 pm reservations on some days but the resort was busy so understood. We were concerned about having to take a shuttle to the beach and the size of the resort. Didn’t need to worry. Shuttles were never a problem. We never waited more than 5 mins for a shuttle to go anywhere. They obviously became busier at dinner time as people were making their way to various restaurants amongst the 4 properties you have available to you. Lastly my caution. My wife and I are beach people. This is a very high priority for us. This is where we had some disappointment. The beach sand wasn’t the greatest and walks on the beach were difficult at points as you would hit coral sections etc. Also the swimming in the ocean was very disappointing as we weren’t able to go out beyond the breakwalls they created (and you wouldn’t want to because it is rough) but within the break walls it was barely waste deep. Again, pools were awesome so you could get wet, but I love swimming and floating around in the ocean and this really wasn’t viable. So, would I recommend it? If the beach and ocean swimming isn’t critical to you, absolutely book. If it is, I would recommend you hit another area of the Mayan beach. We previously stayed at the RIU closer to Playa del Carmen and that part of the beach was fantastic. We assumed the whole coast line was similar. What is it they say, never assume.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: VERY GOOD HOTEL

I don't have many cons about the resort other than I wish it had more of a beach and that it was easier to walk around the resort. It has a cobble like finish and was very hard to walk on, as it dipped in places, and some stones were missing. But the food, the people, the cleanliness, the assistance was all above board.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Overall, disgusting!

We were disgusted by the smoking, eating and drinking that was allowed everywhere, even in the pool. There was nowhere that you could escape the smoke, and rules were not enforced. Need segregated areas for smokers so that they don't "kill" the non-smokers and the children who are at the resort. I don't feel that the young children were safe in the pool because of the drink glasses and plates allowed in there.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: The resort was awesome

The resort was awesome and food was good need more of variety between lunch and dinner. Service was good. The only complain is the resort couldn't accommodate our large group for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We were always separate in different tables they wouldn't put the tables together. Then one night they had a fire show in the pool which couldn't accommodate all the guest from the resort. They had tables beside the pool but you need to purchase wine which was $40 a bottle to sit I those tabl [... read more]es. The shows/entermaintment could be improve.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: It's a good resort

Pool and bars excellent service very good entertainment poor. Food could have larger variety ran out of seating at one of the dinners our group were scattered all over the place employees did not make an effort to keep the group together

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: Bad Start...But Did Get Better!

Read many mixed reviews before choosing, so my expectations were not too high, just needed a quiet place for my husband and I to unwind and relax. Bel Air was perfect for this as it was not too busy. Clean, comfortable room, lovely pool and good food. However, there was only a buffet on Friday and Saturday evening (when they get a bit busier) and not through the week, which is in contradiction to them advertising a buffet. Food was good. Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Nice small resort

Nice small resort located in a small town, friendly staff. Mostly Mexican visitors and very busy beach. Food is average, wine is terrible. Nice beach to walk and ocean is warm and calm for swimming. Vendors are respectful and not aggressive. Would go back, met very nice people.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Outstanding resort

First let me thank Debbie from Trip Central for recommending this resort! She was amazing to work with and really took the time to find a resort that fit our needs. Well, all I can say is that our first trip to Mexico was amazing. We did have a few hiccups (more so surprises do our lack our knowledge) but nothing that we couldn’t handle. It was a beautiful resort the kids activities and pool were great we were there every day and the “big pool” was large enough we didn’t really get in anyone’s way. The service in general was great (although there were a few times it was slower but service in an individualized thing). The food was delicious…a large selection. here is an excellent variety with the 4 al a carte restaurants and the buffet.......the food was delicious.. We only ate at the Japanese (which was delicious) and the Steakhouse (soooo good). We receive awesome treatment and they do try to make everything so very convenient for you. In fact we are already planning for another trip to the Iberostar Playa Mita for next year and this time we're bring our entire family to enjoy such a beautiful place. Thank you for making our family vacation full on amazing memories!

Riu Emerald Bay: Family Friendly

Because I have stayed with RIU before I had very high expectations of the Emerald Bay in Mazatlan, however I wasn't overly impressed when I got there. The rooms were nice and clean, the staff was excellent and I loved that there were multiple pools to chose from. The food was okay, however it was the same thing in both buffet restaurants every single night without fail. I will definitely stay at a RIU in the future but will switch up locations.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Perfect place in Cozumel - Iberostar!

Hotel rooms: Very colorful 1 or 2 floors little buildings hidden between the trees and gives you a great privacy feeling. There is a hummock for each room. Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Beautiful and relaxing vacation!

This is definitely a place to relax, it's very tranquil.All rooms are oceanfront, with wonderful views of the bay. The main pool is heated, with a excellent poolside service, Alberto was out waiter and he is truly one of the best. We would definitely consider coming back to this resort!

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Great resort

Beautiful hotel. Staff were accommodating and fun. Food and drinks were amazing. Stunning view of mountains and ocean. Spa was so nice and well priced. Only negatives were there was no on site disco to go dancing,but there was a cantina bar with live music. The beach wasn't very nice, lots of sand fleas, small and rough water but all the gorgeous pools made up for it

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: BEST TIME EVER!!

The Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun was amazing! I got Married on April 12th and I couldn't have been a more happier Bride! The resort was stunning with great restaurants and the rooms were so pretty. Grounds were always kept clean and tidy as well as the rooms. The 24h room service is so amazing! Everyone in my huge group had nothing bad to say! I will defiantly be going back! Thanks to all the staff, you guys are Great!!!

Riu Flamingos: Great resort

This was my second time being there and it was just as great as the last time. The beach is beautiful and and lively. The resort is very nice but a bit out dated. The food was wonderful as usual and drinks were great! Beds were very hard and unpleasant to say.
