Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Incredible vacation!

The rooms we stayed in had jacuzzis on the balcony which was amazing! The food was really delicious! And everyone was so friendly and fun. We did a couple of excursions as well and I highly recommend everything this resort offers!

Grand Bavaro Princess: Great hotel

We just return from this lovely hotel ! Beach very nice and lots of place available, food great don't need reservation we try all of them my favorite was the Italian the only things is that the food at the buffet is not hot enought ! Room was really nice and clean and located half was to beach and lobby ! We will return for sure !

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: amazing resort

the resort was just lovely in every way.Every service was greatly thought out ,what resort can you go and not have to book ala cartes,free phone service to back home,free wifi through out the resort,great meals and wonderful service.Great place for seniors not too big you can walk to anything in 5 min.diamond club the best.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Paradise

First time visit to this resort and have nothing but good things to say about our trip. The location is perfect, the hotel is fantastic, food and cocktails are amazing but the service is outstanding. Pure paradise for anyone who is looking for luxurious and peaceful retreat.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Lovely Resort and very pleasant workers!!

Grounds were very well kept as well as public areas. Dining Rooms were very clean as well. Food was better than I was expecting. However, our hotel room shower would not drain properly. But all in all I would return to the Ambar!!!

Occidental Punta Cana: Barcelo Solimar Nicaragua

Example: What did you think about  this hotel? excelent , but need a life garde for the beach .I saw someone close to draining saved by another client ! (grounds, public areas, rooms, dining, features, etc.)

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Blue Bay - Puerto Plata

First time to Adults only resort and loved it! The vacation was excellent value for money. The room was large and adequate. Quiet for sleeping and relaxing. The beach was very nice and great for long walks and swimming. One day we walked the beach and came back along the main road. This took 2 hours and we felt very safe. The food was excellent. We only booked one restaurant because the food was so delicious at the buffet we continued eating here at our leisure. There are two pools; one with a s [... read more]wim up bar and the other pool for volleyball and quiet relaxation. They had games by the pool for everyone to join in around 4 p.m. everyday. It was a great way to meet people. We created our own excursions since we have traveled to the D.R. extensively. One day we went into Puerto Plata, walked the malecon and several streets and finally into the central square. I was really impressed with how much work they've done in this big city (approx. 140K people). We took the local transit shuttle (gua gua) from the central square to the main road and then on to our complex. Another day we took the gua gua out to Cabarete and relaxed on the beach in front of the restaurants for $6. for beach chair rentals and washroom availability. If you want an inexpensive vacation getaway to the D.R. I would highly recommend the Blue Bay. Plus, you have the beauty of all the rolling hills and local action if you take an excursion off the property.

Paradise Playa Dorada: needed some updates

the grounds were nice, the public areas needs to be updated like the washrooms and the guests rooms more ample lighting, screens on the patio doors, better bedding and pillows for sure, air conditioning in the rooms that actually worked. The food was very bland so at lease have some additional herbs and spices available for guests to add to the food. A variety of coffee should be at the buffet each morning for those who do like a change from regular, we had to wait til 10am for the pool coffee t [... read more]o be available. the Beach for the resort needs to have more activities there, we found all activities were at the pool area and not on the beach, shade umbrellas were only at the pool and none at all on the beach, all the other resorts offered them to their guest. It was nice having the events posted on the wall each day but no one offered any information to the guest on the day of arrival, we didn't even know the kayaks and other items were available free with our package. Better info sessions should be organized to tell everyone what is available. Better drink selections, like something made with coconut run or pineapple or baileys. meeting room was so bad and very hot have sessions outside around where we had our check in. Staff was friendly, but maybe you should have an event every day for an half an hour for anyone to pick up some Spanish lessons not much just basic words that would be a nice touch.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great Adults Only Resort

We enjoyed a relaxing vacation at Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar. The grounds are beautifully kept. The rooms are spacious, bed comfy, really enjoyed the Jacuzzi. Everything is within easy walking distance. ie from lobby to room to pool to beach. Great bar service by the pool and on the beach. Room service was prompt but limited. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: 5 star resort? I don't think so...

This resort was recommended to me by a friends of mine who claimed that it was the best place she had ever been at. I on the other hand was not impressed at all. On first impression, the location was nice, there were flamingos in the lobby area which was a nice touch. For a 5 star resort, it was lacking... if you compare it to a 5 star resort in Punta Cana. However putting aside comparing the two locations, these were some positives and negatives about this resort from my experience. Good: - ni [... read more]ghtly shows were entertaining and excellent performances. - introduction to scuba diving lessons Bad: - food was decent, but mostly too salty or too sweet, lack of veggie options at the buffet and restaurants - a/c broke down in our room one night - shower ran out of water while showering - pool was small and dirty (dead bugs, twigs and leaves) - medical health was questionable, unprofessional, and not tourist friendly - staff were half and half on being professional and not very pleasant - the bracelet given to us did not last the week stay, the ink rubbed off on us (took forever to wash off) and thankfully not our clothes In conclusion, I would not recommend this resort to my friends and family. Maybe it was the bad luck or the lack of "wow" factor. This is only my second time being in Dominican Rupublic, and after this experience I will likely to not return to this resort or country.

Punta Cana Princess: 9.5 out of 10

Overall rating is excellent Disappointed with food, service is not impressive. Very nice and clean facility, everything is close, small resort, it is more for relaxing rather entertaining time there. It is 18 over resort, most gests are 30 and over years old

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Beautiful Cove Beach

Good: Beautiful resort, very good staff, wonderful beach and pool area, clean rooms, great location. Bad: Food was average, everything closed relatively early Ugly: Says it's only 25km from La Romana airport. That would be good if you landed in La Romana. It is at least 90 mins each way in a van from the Punta Cana airport.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Beautiful beach

I went to this hotel with 2 of my adults daughters as we were looking for a week of rest and relaxation: the objective was attained ! The property is very clean and the beach is easily accessible. We took a long walk one day and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was fine and I would recommend the Orquidea.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Great resort!

Me and my family had a great time and enjoyed the experience. Pools are well kept and are a good size. Beach front is raked and also well kept. Hotel rooms are spacious and well kept. The grounds are maintained constantly and look lovely. The main lobby is huge and has lounge areas throughout. Food is okay and they have a variety of a la carts to choose from. Staff are awesome, welcoming and friendly.

We had a very beautiful experience, The food was ok, the rooms and décor was very good and our overall experience was amazing.Only one staff member looked kind of mad but our Airport experience going out of Punta Cana was horable. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Perfect Vacation ***** 5 Star service all the way

I love everything about this resort..from the amazing manicured grounds, to the breath taking beachfront..Staff there is absolutely amazing VIP service no matter where you are on resort!! 5 stars all the way!!

Paradisus Punta Cana: Used to be better, still good, BUT mosquitoes!

This was our second visit to this hotel, some things are now changed, some things are still good, some better (mostly for Royal Service guests), some are worse. Good: Grounds - still one of the best in Punta Cana, public areas are very beautiful, rooms are just fine, almost no issues. The sun beds at the pools and at the beach are the best out of almost all the hotels around. The service is pretty good too. So-so: Dining: from just o.k. to sometimes very good, the food and wine choice used to be [... read more] much better. . Bad: We see only 1 main issue with the property, the current management doesn't care much about mosquitoes situation, that almost ruined our stay. We have been to this hotel around 8-9 years ago or so, also September timeframe, there was no single mosquito in the lobby evening time, that issue was taken care of by the previous hotel management. Now the things are different. I would not expect to have mosquitoes bytes all over after sitting for less than an hour in the lobby of a 5 star hotel, that is completely unacceptable for us, and that never happend before to us in Dominican Republic in 5 star hotels.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: amazing resort

The hotel was beautiful and food was amazing! The pool was extremely large and he best drinks were at the swim up bar (banana momma). We went to the show every night with my 8 year old daughter and she loved them. The beach wasn't the greatest but if you walked a bit it got better. I've all an amazing place to be in a wedding.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Everything we hoped for and more!

Our shuttle ride from Punta Cana Airport to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino took less than half an hour, and, tired after a long day of travel, we were happy to be greeted with a glass of delightful Rebelle champagne during our speedy check-in. Our King "Caribbean Suite" was lovely - complete with jacuzzi tub and a spacious deck. The casino offers an added element to the night life - there's also a night club on site, so no need to stray far from the resort for entertainment if you don't want to. [... read more] In fact, we've seen the Zac Brown Band, Lady Antebellum, and Scotty McCreery all at the Hard Rock Punta Cana! Check ahead before you travel to see who may be playing while you're there! No matter what your food preference, there's something for everyone at the Hard Rock - the Isla Restaurant overlooks the ocean and features Caribbean food; there's also an Italian restaurant (I had the fettuccine Alfredo, which was as good as any I have ever had), and a Brazilian eatery. The Zen Japanese restaurant and the pizza cafe were by far our two favorite eateries, and it should be noted that we topped off nearly every delicious meal with a stop at the "Ice Cone" for a couple of scoops of locally-made ice cream! There are many pools, and again, one for every mood. I discovered the Sax Pool, a quiet spot away from the maddening crowd where you can read the latest bestseller and grab a quick spot of lunch at the same time. If you love the aforementioned maddening crowd, music and meeting new people, be sure to spend some time at the main pools closer to the beach. There's a kids' pool as well, which we didn't sample, not having the kids with us, but it looked fun, with a water slide and a "lazy river" to float along. My only tip might be to keep in mind that the room service food is not as good as the restaurant food. As in most Caribbean locales, milk is not the same as we are accustomed to here in Canada and the U.S., where there is lots of refrigeration to keep things nice and cold. The chocolate milk is powdered. The apple juice is quite diluted to what some travelers may be used to. But the pastries make up for any small food disappointments. Remember...even at a four or five-star resort, you're still in the Caribbean...relax...adapt. I try to never compare travel food to that which I enjoy at home, but at the Hard Rock, when you sit down to dinner, you'll definitely feel at home. Again, the restaurant food is great, and the service is top-notch. Beautiful people. Be sure to take along a handful of American dollars for tipping, because you'll want to reward your servers for going out of their way to pamper you on your vacation!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Best Vaca Ever!!!

What a wonderful time. food, accomodations, staff, everything was exceptional.. We have been to numerous places down south, and this was certainly one of the best. The staff actually enjoy what they do. You never felt like they were being nice for the tips. They were just genuinely nice. One of friends travelling with us unfortunately broke her ankle and the staff and medical staff were incredible..Couldnt have had better service. definitely going back
