Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Beautiful resort, Great food, Awesome staff!

This was my first time staying on this resort and i had low expectations before arriving. However, this was by far the best resort i've been to in Montego Bay. Its right on the hipstrip close to the casino, margaritaville, and everything else. The food was amazing and always had a variety of options since we have access to the older resort (which actually has great amenities as well). The pools were cleaned every day and are in great shape and rarely ever busy. The beach was perfect, exc [... read more]ept it's a little rocky (but that's somewhat normal for beaches). The staff was accommodating and very kind. The only thing that i had a slight problem with was that service at times could have been better. At other resorts, i was used to having staff bring drinks to the pool and beach areas - this wasn't the case, so it took some getting used to. The rooms are beautiful and all oceanfront! Also, the resort had something for all ages (young adult/adult/senior). Overall, it was a great vacation and definitely exceeded my expectations.

Hedonism II: Too much Fun !!

The Hotel Entertainment Crew & Staff are super friendly & helpful. Good food selection for all meals. Plenty of beach towels available, & lots of lounge chairs in either shade or sun. Always Activities on Evenings. Rooms are nice, cleaned daily if required. This was our 2nd trip & we will be going back.

Riu Reggae: Would not recommend

The restaurants weren’t spectacular, most of them were just buffets. The staff were great especially the bartenders. We found a burger in our freezer 2 days into the trip from the past guest. After leaving a dress hanging in the bathroom I found a bleach stain on it the next day. I wouldn’t recommend the resort

Sandals South Coast: Beautiful beach

Firstly I astonished the big shoreline beach at this private resort. The one thing not to joy is there not too many choices for the buffet on Lunch. It is not a variety of meats, vegetables, and fruits at lunch buffet.

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Great Resort

I spent 6 days at the Royal Decameron Club Caribbean and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I stayed in a garden view cottage which was lovely. Very spacious and clean. The resort was very clean and all staff very friendly and helpful. The beach was lovely and the grounds well kept. The food was good and I would say there was something for everyone. I would recommend the resort for anyone who likes smaller places to stay.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Good Hotel

Rooms were clean beds comfortable public washrooms very clean bars and restaurants and pool areas are amazing..Meals are very good with lots of choices for everyone... Staff were overwhelmed @ times but all in all they were friendly and very helpful in everything

Riu Palace Jamaica: Gorgeous place

The hotel was gorgeous! The food was very good The weather was perfect Friendly staff Very clean I don’t really have too many negative things to report. The entertainment was lacking, they didn’t really have too many shows or events. The staff were young and catered to their generation. The resort mostly had an older crowd, and I felt as though they should of accommodated all age groups.

Riu Reggae: Nice and relaxing getaway!!

Flight going there got delayed 1.5 hrs and flight coming back delayed about 3 hrs. Hotel is super close from the airport, we arrived to the hotel a little after 10 pm and not restaurant was open or real food was available; the food option we had was sandwiches, popcorn and nachos- no nacho cheese left. Welcome drinks were served 10-20 minutes after we arrived. After a long day travelling we just wanted to relax, eat and drink, we got a bit disappointed. The resort its small, which makes it quick and easy to get from your room to the restaurant, bars, pool and beach. We spent most of our time at the beach, it was always clean in the mornings. We are used to having the drinks served to us while we are at the beach/pool, but they don't do it here. Enjoyed the no-motorized sports a lot and the staff always helpful. Best of the best, was jerk chicken on the beach for lunch everyday!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wasn’t impressed

For what I paid and what I got I would not go back. The Italian restaurant ran out of food when we had a reservation. Mosquitos were in my room ( lots of them). Everything closes early and you have to go to the village if you want to stay up.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Wonderful Family Trip

We stayed as a family of 9 with 4 separate rooms. We decided to pick all Diamond Club and I believe it was worth the extra cost. Our Butler team of Denesha and Damion were fantastic and multiple times went that extra little bit to help make our trip wonderful. We had issues with lights in one of our rooms for the first 2 days, and after a few maintenance trips it was resolved - they were always quick to come look when I called about it. The restaurant staff was mostly great, with a few exceptions around speed of service and one or two who just didn't seem to want to be there. My biggest disappointment was the kids club (broken air hockey and limited toys) and that Max and Ruby weren't around as advertised and my kids were told "they went on a long vacation". One more set of problems I had was that the Diamond Club swim up bar had speakers, but was never playing any music and I was told they don't work plus a few times it ran out of a certain alcohol and they either said sorry no more or someone had to go get some (and only got some in a small cup for 1 or 2 servings). My final issue was some ceiling damage that was flaking down the whole time over top of one of the pull out beds. I didn't notice this until the last day, but my kid told me it happened the whole time (I didn't report it until check out as I didn't know) so I can't say if they would've fixed it or not. All my issues aside, we had a great family trip. The food was spectacular (no ribs the whole time made some of us sad) and the place was well kept generally. The staff always greeted people and some stopped to talk to us and the kids. We had a few team members who were exceptional, especially with the kids.

Riu Montego Bay: People were awesome , Sunwing and food ok

The servers and entertainers were very sweet and entertaining. But the food and amenities were ok. The shows were very good, the bartenders were awesome, the waiters were amazing, the food was ok. Our room was musty. We had to fight for three beds even though we were paying for three adults. The cleaners were good. But room was musty. And decor was out of date and food had a lot of msg. We had trouble with Sunwing: I pre booked extra legroom seats after paying extra for the privilege and paying  [... read more]extra for the seats when I booked them, only to find out that Sunwing switched our flight home to a tiny Swiss plane and bumped us back to crappy seats but kept our money! I'm currently fighting with Sunwing for a refund.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing resort

Very nice hotel, very clean and friendly staff. Great food and drinks we enjoyed a lot will consider Bahia Principe in the future. We enjoyed all the alacart dinners. It was nice and safe for all ages.

Hedonism II: Fantastic stay!!

We had a great stay at Hedo 2! Great people and staff who were always on hand to help when needed. Loved that the hot tub and pool were open 24/7 and that you really had the freedom to do what you wanted. Would definitely recommend this resort and we will definitely be back in the near future!

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: An Amazing Resort!

I would highly recommend this hotel! I’ve been to Cuba and Dominican so many times but this hotel by far is the best we’ve stayed at. Our room was always clean in fact in was cleaned twice a day! Also, every washroom on the resort was always clean no matter what time of day or what washroom you went in it was always immaculately clean and never out of supplies. The staff were so friendly and where there to help you with everything. The food was amazing. And it was plentiful. I can’t begin to explain how beautiful the beach is. The water was crystal clear, we would bring bread and feed the fish every morning. We got lucky with the weather as the only time it rained was when we were pulling away from the resort back home. We are definitely going back next year!

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Lower your standards for service

The good- Rooms were great. Resort is clean modern and beautiful. Beach is beautiful. Food is good for the most part. The bad- Resort is smaller than we are used to. There is only one small pool that we have access to. You must upgrade to diamond club to get full 5 star experience. The service was the worst I have ever experienced from all of my vacation experiences. You will be offered drugs at some point during vacation. People smoke marijuana all over the place. You can smell it. I will [... read more] not be returning. There are way too many better options out there that offer much more for less. This was an expensive vacation and we could have had a better time somewhere else for half the price.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Everything we wanted! Great resort!

The resort was outstanding. Our room was ready right when we arrived. Quick and easy check in. We had a ocean view room for the first time ever and they gave us the highest floor. Amazing sunset views, along with views of the ocean and resort. The food was great and we enjoyed the specialty meals. We loved the beach and always had endless choices of beach chairs. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing stay

The hotel is clean and beautiful. The grounds are well kept and picturesque. The staff was amazing and on point. Alcohol was bountiful. The rooms were clean and the walls were thin and I hear kids in the next room. The housekeepers were nice and pleasant and willing to direct me around as this is a huge resort I did not care for the service from the front desk. The staff huddles and giggles. They preetend they dont see you standing in line. They dont bother to answer their phones. I rang the [... read more]n for 5 minutes and no one answered. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: One of the best!

This is our second time to Jamaica, first time on the north side of the island. We were not disappointed! All staff, including front desk reception, butlers, concierge, wait staff and bar tenders were all extremely helpful, friendly, and if you can believe it..TIMELY! Never had to wait long for food, beverages, even the room service was stated to be "45 minutes' and usually came within 20-25 minutes! We loved the Brazilian steak house they put together, but it was bested by the a la carte "Pi [... read more]casso". Buffets were themed and always replenished, short lines at the omelette stations in the morning and the lunch buffet at the best jerk chicken and pork I've had! We were lucky enough to have a corner ocean view deluxe suite, with 270 degree views off our balcony, looking at the ocean and the mountains of Jamaica, really breath taking views to wake up to and watch the sunset over the mountains! The resort is huge, as with the Luxury Bahia side, you have access to the Grand side as well, opening up even more possibilities and activities to enjoy during your vacation, as well as the quiet solitude of no children at the Luxury side.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Great location!!

The grounds were kept beautifully. Housekeeping very good. Overall hospitality was very good.Jamaica is a beautiful island with beautiful culture..As for the value...For a single traveller I did not find great value in this package. Had it been 7nghts my rating would of been different .

Jewel Paradise Cove: Great vacation!

This place was not exactly as expected. The food was fantastic, staff lovely and comfortable rooms. But the beaches were a disappointment. Not swimmable as it was a small closed off area and the seaweed took over the rest. The pools were good for socializing but again, not deep enough to swim. The grounds very well kept and many areas to explore.
