Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Amazing time

A very lovely place to visit. The resort is absolutely immaculate, the staff are wonderful and the food was great. The beach was clean and the water absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. A beautiful place you must visit!

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Family Friendly Resort!!

The vacation was absolutely amazing!!! The resort is so perfectly laid out and it took us half a day to figure it all out! It took us 7 min to walk from one end to the next…As non-preferred guests I was starting to worry if I made a wrong call, but we were treated like royalty!!! Constant calls from concierge making sure we have everything, how is the room (small issue with the A/C and was fixed within 10 min of calling!!) the swim out room was perfect and so worth it. The buffets were good basically the same for breakfast and lunch but there was a change up almost every night for dinner that we attended. All the extra little food bars (burger bar, taco trucks, ice cream parlour, cafe) were amazing for late night snacks or early mornings. All the bars had exceptional service and they went out of their way to get to know us and the kids!! The shows at night were all great and most were interactive. Even with our flight delay, the staff made sure that we were comfortable, well fed, and enjoyed another full day till we caught our shuttle at 10:30 Friday night!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Overall good resort!

All in all it was a good place and good value based on other similar resorts. The room was spectacular - junior suite, with large bathroom, double vanities, separate soaker tub & glass shower. Large king bed plus comfortable sitting area with sofa & 2 chairs. Resort was nice, lots of hatched roof umbrellas on beach, plus cabanas & umbrellas by pools. Buffet breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices, plus variety of freshly squeezed juices & smoothies. Only downside was you had to ask for c [... read more]offee every few minutes because of the small cups. Found the service hit & miss, some staff very friendly and attentive others just ignore you. The Beach restaurant buffet for lunches was also good. Two negatives, a-la-carte restaurants are not all of equal calibre, 4 out of the 7 were good, the other 3 were less than mediocre. Recommend Yurta, Olivio, Taino & Steak restaurants. Second negative, public washrooms were tiny, you either hit the toilet or door getting in & out & I'm a petite person. Also there were only 2 bathrooms provided at a time, so sometimes there were lineups. One last thing, they should spray grounds more often for mosquitoes. I have a severe allergy and was bitten in the evenings. We've been to Punta cana several times and I didn't have that issue at other resorts.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great time

Food at the Buffet and al a cartes were amazing. Staff in the buffet was amazing. The al a cartes could use some work. If you are not a pool person, seating is scarce. I had requested main floor as I have limited mobility but received the second floor in the farthest building from the beach. With that and many stairs during the journey, we never got to the beach. Therefore, if you have any limitations, this is not the resort for you. Other than that, we did enjoy our stay

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: OK resort

All and all ok. Food was good. Could definitely have been cleaner. Too many people for amount of facilities (pools packed, no chairs at the beach or at the pool). Very busy place. Entertainment was 50/50 I guess usual karaoke resort stuff.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Love love love

This is our third timing staying at this resort and we absolutely love it. The beach was spectacular as well as staff was very friendly always eager to help , the food was ok certainly not bad just repetitive. when we first got there we were told our room was on the third floor we wanted bottom floor and they accommodated us no problem.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great week at Sunscape

Just returned from a very pleasant stay .The hotel grounds are beautiful and every thing is very clean The food was good plenty of choices We loved the cafe for our morning cappuccino.The beach was very nice although the only negative was there were not enough loungers and unfortunately to have one you had to get up very early to reserve.I believe the pool situation was similar but I didn’t use the pool on our stay. The staff were very friendly and worked very hard .The beds and pillows were exc [... read more]ellent the best I have ever had in an all inclusive I would certainly return and recommend this resort I have read some very negative reviews but we did not encounter any problems We stayed in building 5 and was close to everything we needed.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort!

The Ambar is beautiful resort! The grounds are meticulously maintained. The pool is crystal clear and the beach is easily accessed. The rooms are very clean with all the amenities you would expect. The buffet andvthe A la Carte's are excellent. And the sraff are all wonderful, pleasant and hard working. And of course, Nicole Deforest from tripcentral.ca was a pleasure to book with! I would gladly return.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Needs some work

Resort grounds are lovely,beach and pool area fantastic. But like most resorts, loungers taken up by towels by 8am. Buildings need some maintenance and our room had an extremely noisy air conditioner that switched on and off. Asked for ground floor because of bad knees but got 2nd floor so not happy with that.Staff were very helpful and kind. Didn't like to see so many hungry feral cats around either. Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Beautiful Place

We were very impressed with the complex as a whole. The cleanliness was excellent. This is accomplished by an amazing group of people. Anywhere or anytime we interacted with staff we could not have been treated better. Really friendly people who want to make your experience a most enjoyable one.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Good resort that could be Amazing !

We found the Check in and Check out process unnecessarily slow. Loved the room, beach, bar staff. The restaurants seemed very disorganized. Tables seemed to be cleared and reset at random with no one specifically responsible for any particular tasks. Coming from a hospitality back ground, I found this very confusing. It would not take much to take this hotel from just good to amazing. The restaurants and  bars were also constantly running out of glasses, cups & saucers. The bars were also running out of properly glasses ..... one evening at the Adults only bar, we were given scotch in paper cups !! To a scotch drinker, that is blasphemy!! Our maid Claudia was amazing !!! Our room and the entire resort was kept very clean and tidy. We also loved the beach and beach staff. The Adults only section was also amazing. The food was very average, with everything tasting much the same, but we did not come for the food. The omlettes at breakfast at Kaleidescope was the best meal of thd day ! Very tasty!! Overall, we very much enjoyed our vacation at Sunscape Coco and look forward to coming back again.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Beautiful Beach Resort

Great value for your money. The resort is older and showing its age but the people make up for it. Perfect for a relaxing beach vacation with good food. Nice to see they invested in new chairs for the buffet and entertainment area. It would be nice if they invested in more umbrellas at pool and beach. We wanted to go on the bike tour but couldn't find 4 bikes that worked. Small investment to get the bikes working. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort

We love this resort .. our second time. fabulous ! service was great, very clean, staff so friendly and work so hard. Wish there was more shade but the staff were very helpful to find some. The beach and ocean water were the best ever!

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Exallante!

Lovely resort with lots to offer. The grounds were very well kept and the room was clean. The staff were welcoming and the food was delicious (too much so!). There was not much going on in terms of evening entertainment and if I had any suggestions it would be for the resort to up their efforts in that regard. Overall it is a beautiful getaway

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great resort

While most staff were great. Some were rude. While the property lacked staff, it was kept in clean standings. The property offers a few dining experiences, but in 11 days there we were not able to book a fine dining evening. The booking process is ridiculous for vacationers. There's not enough chairs or umbrellas pool or ocean side. Having to get up at 5am, isn't right. Hard to relax and unwind worrying about your stuff, chairs and dining. Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Great for families

This is a small resort that is quite compact and great for families with young kids or ageing parents. It is very windy on the beach most of the afternoon I felt there was a lot of variety on the buffet however, they didn’t have very many special nights One bar usually with not much of a lineup and the bartenders were very friendly Fun entertainment staff

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Going downhill unfortunately

This was our second stay at Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort, and unfortunately I have to report that the quality and experience is going downhill. Good points - the room we were given was quiet, and always kept clean. Air conditioning works, however a bit damp in room no matter what you did. The beach was generally good, unfortunately quite busy, and had to get seats - same with pools - just not enough for guests at the hotel. The bar by the unique pool made the best drinks - other bars (Beach Ba [... read more]r, Lobby Bar) were ok. Bad points - the quality of food had gone downhill rapidly. One diner in our party has celiac disease and while they did not get sick, the staff knowledge of gluten free, the options available, the selection at the buffet(s) and basic labelling was extremely poor. The other food was lacking in flavour, in variety and in execution. As supposedly a premium resort and dining experience, extremely disappointed. In addition, staff were slow, a long wait to get drinks in the restaurants. Overall, our experience has turned us off from this resort and we won't be returning.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Very Nice !

Grounds and public areas were kept clean , lots of employees always busy ! Friendly servers on the most part . Food was great , huge variety. Rooms were fine but could use updates. I will mention if you are a solo female traveller, the front lobby male employees were very suggestive and forward in offering services. Just a warning , May make some very nervous .

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Almost Luxury

Better than average resort, stuff is nice and polite, needs some maintenance around room amenities, but not yet outdated. Overall great experience, been there twice, as I said not quite luxury, for the price. Room TV reception is terrible and outdated.
