Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Lovely resort, beautiful beach, we would go again!

This resort is a gorgeous, small scale resort located on an amazing beach with direct access to excellent snorkelling. The staff were friendly and accommodating and there were no line-ups for food or services. Great rooms, all oceanfront. Only draw back was the cigarette smoke that came in to our room from next door.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: small hotel with a big heart

As soon as we came to the hotel, we were made aware of an important problem which the reception team promptly and efficiently solved for us. This was just an example of what was going to be the next ten days at this hotel. Exceptional service at all levels.

This was our 4 the time at temptations the staff food and rooms are great if you want a fun vacation this is the place we found this place by accident a few years ago now we can't wait to go back each year

Canto Del Sol: Great memories!

Checking in: Check-in was very fast. The woman at the front desk was very nice. Initially they provided us with a room that didn't have any of the requests that I made - higher floor, king bed and balcony. However, as soon as we came back to the front desk, she quickly resolved it (even though those are requests subject to availability). I enjoyed the customer service that she provided me with. I was impressed with her, as usually they don't want to change your room or they make you wait a few  [... read more]days. Pool/Beach: Pool was great! In fact there was 2 of them - one for adults (never really made it there) and the general pool with a pool bar and a snack bar near by. I have never been to a resort with so many lounge chairs available!!! There was so many that it was hard to choose where to sit. That being said, the hotel in my opinion was pretty full. They had plenty of umbrellas available or would bring you one upon request. The beach is small, but very close to the resort and pool. I went into the ocean several times, but it was a bit rocky (small rocks that you can walk on). It's not like a Cuban beach, but that is expected in that part of Mexico. So you will get what you expect. Food/Buffets/Beverages: The a-la-carte restaurants had a very good ambiance - the surf and turf is basically right by the beach - book during sunset and you will have the most romantic meal of your life. The Italian was so-so, although the short rib was not bad. The Mexican was my favorite in terms of food and how nice the staff was - it's apparently the least busy one. When you go - make sure you order the Mexican coffee - it's a show! The buffet was small. However, it always had something new every day - they themed the nights, in order to make it less repetitive. For breakfast they had a lot of different types of fruit, made to order eggs/omelettes and a bunch of other things. For lunch I went a few times and there was a good selection, but most days I opted out for the snack bar. At the snack bar (open till midnight) they had delicious fries (tried not to eat too many of those, but they were sooo good!), they had shrimp/fish tacos and some "North American" food such as hot dogs/hamburgers. Great service and delicious. For dinner the nights were themed - so depending on the theme you can book your reservations, or even better yet - go into town for a nice meal at least once! It's a $6 cab ride and they have amazing restaurants in town.(La Palapa was amazing although pricey) The bars were amazing! I spent most of the time at the pool bar (opened the latest and earliest). They had a good variety of international and domestic drinks. I drink vodka or rum and they had plenty of variety that I like. The tequila from what I'm told was also good. The bartenders and especially Jose are all great. The one thing that is a bit disappointing for me is that the bar closed at midnight. (you can still order drinks via room service, however I believe it's only 1 per night) In hindsight the bar closing early might have been a blessing in disguise! Rooms: The bed was a bit on the harder side, but very comfortable. The room had a nice plasma TV although we didn't turn it on and we had a little kitchenette. The room is a bit dated however. I would say that would be one of the areas that they could improve. I would say that the room was a 3 star, maybe even 2.5. Overall: This was a perfect vacation! I really loved the people that I met at the resort - both staff and guests. If you visit, you will have a great time! And please do go into town! What we enjoyed doing a couple of times was to walk along the beach (45 min? although please don't quote me on that as it's easy to loose time when the walk is so beautiful). I would recommend this resort to my friends.

Hard Rock Hotel Cancun: Excellent resort

All of this resort is clean, the grounds are beautiful . The food in all restaurant are delicious. The drinks are good. Never had better service like this place. Amazing place , for family and couples. loved it !!!

The Bel Air: I loved this hotel

It's not a big hotel but the setting is perfect. From my room on the 6th floor I could get to the beach in a couple minute only and this was awesome. The last bar closes at midnight though so it might not be the best place for those who wish to party all night. The quality of the hotel and the food was above my expectations.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Great Resort!

I have mixed feelings about the trip but would still recommend this resort. There was a tractor on the beach constantly trying to remove seaweed but a 100 yards down the beach was perfect. The common pool area was a zoo but our swim up pool was to die for. Our room was excellent and the staff were excellent. The a la carte restaurants seem to be closed often, without a published schedule and when open waiting an hour before getting a table. The buffet restaurant was excellent.

Barcelo Huatulco: Relaxation Achieved

The hotel was very nice, close to local shops and modern coffee shop (Ice Caps!) ALL staff were friendly and nice, saying hola to you and meaning it. 4 a la carte restaurants plus a buffet with a different themed night of dining were great and offered numerous options from the feint of heart to the adventurous.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Wonderful Resort...

April 2016, just returned after a fantastic stay. Beach is to die for, white powdery sand, clear blue no coral ocean. Grounds are lovely especially lit up of an evening, very natural spot. Food great and staff are so friendly and helpful, special thanks to Giovani.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Awesome / Amazing Resort

Staff, workers - all go out of their way to help / please everyone - Never expecting tips and very grateful to receive one (you are pleased and happy to tip) - super clean everywhere - Food is great - you do not have to wear wrist bands (Great) - you do not have to search for chairs (Awesome) Options of different pool - Looking forward to going back - Great, great place!

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Nice Resort

This is a very nice, big resort!!! The staff here are amazing!!! We did upgrade to the Mayan Suite Oceanview and we were very disappointed. Don't get me wrong the room is very nice, but we like a balcony that is a little more private and secure. Our first room was facing the road and we were on a main path to the beach so we did not sit out at all. After much begging on my part they did move us on the fourth day into our vacation to a room supposedly facing the ocean, but we were looking at a ve [... read more]ry thick Mangrove. The whole reason we upgraded because it was a 30th Wedding anniversary and we had been here before and loved the resort. The resort is nice, the food is plentiful and the staff is probably the friendliest and most hard working people we have ever met. For this reason we might go back eventually, but we will not spend the extra money on the upgraded room. If you do decide to go to this resort you will not be disappointed.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Great Service - Great Food

We stayed at the Fiesta Americana from April 1 to April 8. The resort was well kept and everyone was so nice. We dined at the Italian and Asian restaurants a couple of times during the week and the food was always above average. Our room was large and every room had a view of the ocean. Will go back.

Tukan Hotel Playa Del Carmen: Beautifully quaint resort

From the main street in Playa del Carmen you would never know that just behind the bar there is this hidden away, small tropical garden filled resort. There was a small pool and hot tub which was never crowded. We did not book all inclusive but there are so many restaurants everywhere that we had no trouble finding somewhere to eat. We did eat at the buffet restaurant affiliated with the resort and the food was great. The front desk staff were really nice. Especially Sandra!! She would take time [... read more] to answer any questions you had about where to go for dinner etc. Our maid Maria was also great. The room was cleaned well every day and she took time to do it right so that every day you would walk in and say "wow, it's so nice". The beach was a short walk away. And you could souvenir shop on the way there and back. There were no vendors on the beach, which was nice because while walking there you had no shortage of vendors. I don't mind them because they are just trying to make a living and when you said no thanks, they backed off.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Good for the money we spent.

We visit Royal Decameron last year and just loved it so went back this year. A little disappointed this year with the service and the rooftop adult pool bar was closed so no bar service which you had to keep going down to obtain any beverages - would have been great if they had a runner going around and taking orders for drinks. SPA was amazing like last year- would highly recommend that! Food was good in the restaurant however the buffet food was cold could not keep it hot or warm. They really need to work on keeping the food hot/warm.

Catalonia Yucatan: Nice resort

Nice clean resort food was good and staff always helpful animation crew could have been more present but it seemed to be a quiet er group so was okay didnt dive becauae it was too expensive especially with u.s. exchange in gated community so it was too far to walk to road to catch collectivo

This hotel is nothing short of amazing. The grounds are immaculate at all times, the food is nothing short of fabulous. The staff goes over and above for every guest, making sure that everyone has a positive and enjoyable experience. Staff in the restaurants and bars are very approachable and offer suggestions for new things to try. We spent a lot of time just visiting with the staff there as they were the friendliest people we have ever encountered during our stay and had lots of advice for not only the resort but things to see and do in the area as well. The resort is huge and offers endless choices, a relaxed yet exciting environment and the perfect setting for romance. We will definitely be back. Most of the guests we encountered were on their 15th or more visit to the property.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great time!

What a great hotel! Grounds were kept clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, beach was a perfect size! Mr Carlos in the lobby bar and Pablo in the Fresca/ pool bar were simply amazing! Good mix of families and couples in all age ranges! Entertainers were amazing! Wonderful food selections!

We were there for 2 weeks just home great time staff amazing. grounds. pool. All staff amazing we will definitely go backmy many thanks to all staff for making our stay so great desk staff so helpful..bartenders maids all great my husband & I will be back for sure hats off to all bartenders!!

Grand Oasis Sens: Beautiful Resort

Lots of pools and restaurants. Always well kept. Staff friendly but overworked. Also, we experienced less attention from the staff(bartenders) because we were not wearing V.I.P bands thus year.Telaphone in the room didnt work but we had a jacuzzi. Cest la vie!!

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: GREAT RESORT

The rooms were amazing , grounds were very well kept with very friendly staff . The food was great as well. The only complaint I would have is the pool chairs need to be regulated . people putting towels,books etc. on chairs and not being used all day. With people looking for chairs all day .
