El Dorado Royale: Wonderful vacation.

Grounds were kept impeccably cleans. Stayed in a casita. It was wonderful. Staff were amazing. Food was great. Lots of choices of restaurants & bars. It was quiet at night which made for good sleeping. The only negative thing is that the casita had a damp smell to it.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: GREAT RESORT TO VACATION IN

The food was excellent,except for the Italian A le carte. Definitely would not recommend it.The hotel was spotless as well as the rooms. The area approaching the main dinning rooms could have been cleaner(water). The beach in front of this resort had a large drop off and the waves were very high when we tried to enter in.This being said we are all seniors so we did not spend much time at the beach,rather we sat around the pool,which we loved. Staff is super friendly,again there is always one exc [... read more]eption,when we arrived which was early 10 am our rooms which we had asked to be on ground level due to the fact that one member of our party has had back surgery,were located on level 2 and 3. We asked for ground level side by side and was assured not a problem and the rooms would be ready very soon.We got into room 1 at 2:00 and the second room after 4.First impressions are very lasting and this put a little bit of a bad taste in our mouths.I f rooms are not going to be ready til 2 say so .mot this is a few minutes!!! We were the only four at the desk checking in,not like there was a full bus load.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Relaxing trip!

We went with a group of friends in January and unfortunately we didn't have the best weather, but it was good to have a Jacuzzi on the balcony. The food was fantastic. Healthier options and always fresh food. The gourmet restaurant was the best. Mexican restaurant was our least favorite. Went to the buffet a few nights and we could have ate there every night. Good variety. The rooms were great with a great view of the beach. Never had an issue getting beach chairs even at 10am. Snorkeling was g [... read more]reat with lots of turtles. Lots of people down farther on the beach but if you stay on the resort it is nice and quiet. The service on the beach was a good extra as well. Never went in the pools so can't comment on them. Not much for night life but you can sit in the lobby and have a few drinks with some nighttime entertainment. Sometimes was hard to find a table and get service. We tipped so had a little better luck at getting service. Long trip to the resort from the airport, but worth it. Overall a good relaxing trip. It is a small resort and very quiet.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Perfect honeymoon resort!

From start to finish, our trip to Akumal Bay was amazing. Service was excellent, food was great, location was incredible (snorkelling in particular) and the place was beautiful. I would recommend booking the penthouse suite, definitely worth it for the views from your private rooftop patio!

Temptation Resort & Spa: best resort for us

Kept clean. Service was great. Loads of fun. Friendly staff. Beautiful beach. Wehave been twice before and love this resort more every time we go. The Ala carte restaurants were excellent. Never a dull moment At temptations

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Nice resort!

The food is great food at the buffet but there are limited choices at the beach buffet. Nice and clean room. The air conditioning was a little beat noisy but we get used. The pool is amassing! The service is excellent.

Hotel Dos Playas Faranda: Little Gem

This hotel is a gem if you are prepared for the non-standard package. You will not get an amazing room in an amazing resort, it could be noisy by the road, tourists there are mostly Mexican so little English spoken, and everything is basic. But it is reasonably clean, the food is better than you get on any small island, and if you do not need big entertainment every night, but a clean beach and plenty of chairs under the palm trees on the grass, then this is perfect.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort and very modern - No Adults Only

Royalton is very large property and lots of Resturant option if you are willing to line up everyday and wait around 45mins to 1.5 hours for seating that's for two people. This was a big downer in my opinion about the resort aside. Not impressed and most likely will not return. Adults Only - not true One section - Hideway is reserved for Adults and only one Resturant in the section. So if you want food options you will be surround by a lot of families and line ups - no what I expected. The beac [... read more]h area has reserved day beds and seating for diamond club and not many options for people in Hideaway which was disappointing. These are my negative comments. If you are looking for family vacation and modern up to day property them royalton will be a good choice. Just be prepared to inline for dinner and make sure you feed the little ones well during the day.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Nice location, great food and staff

The property is very nice, very lush grounds. Nice swimming pools, lots of lounge chairs by the pool and beach. Our room was old but clean. The A/C was ok, not great. Our room was very humid and everything was always damp but that's what you get in 100% humidity. Dehumidifiers would be great. Restaurants were decent. Only had the outdoor BBQ once and wasn't impressed with my very undercooked burger. The beer was good but I found the blended drinks to be very artificial/chemical tasting...gross t [... read more]o be exact. Beer, pop, wine and water were good choices. We liked the Seaside Grill at night, the pizza place and the international buffet were all very good for dinner. Breakfast was decent and similar to other all-inclusives we've been to. The staff were very friendly. The area in front of the resort is great for snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking. I loved that we could do these activities with no extra charge. I would stay here again.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Not blue bay esmeralda

We and many others were bumped over to the occedental grand Xcaret from blue bay. What a disappointment. Was promised an upgrade and VIP treatment . It was definitely NOT anything close. Set up was weird

Riu Flamingos: Amazing tome

The hotel was clean rooms were great the food the staff the pool area and the overall area was beautiful ,the night life was also good there was lots of things for kids to do and the spa was great and the ocean was fun boogie boarding

Grand Oasis Sens: Repeat customer

The hotel seemed to downgrade its shows and food selection from last year. Still a beautiful place but in need of maintenance. They gave us a ocean view with a jacuzzi which was thrilling on the main floor. More of a relaxed atmosphere, love the beach, usually wavy waters. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Fantastic Resort!

Keeping this short: Grounds: Extremely well kept ... especially for such a large footprint. Rooms: Adequate size ... not huge, but more than adequate. Staff: Great staff, always happy, smiling and willing to assist. (A bit slow to remove wares and get drinks during dinner, but nothing to really be upset about) Beach: Shallow, Very calm (due to breakwaters), Lots of fish to see/feed. Food: Fantastic selection, great tasting ... I was pleasantly surprised. MANY MANY a la cartes. Trolley system: Gr [... read more]eat ... but really I walked to most places. It's not really that long of a walk. It looks much bigger on the map than it really was.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing resort

Went there beginning of April and we had the best time. Staff were very friendly and always made sure we were having a great experience. Lots of things going on around the resort that you'll need to go for at least 7 days. Food was ok and the pools could use a bit more cleaning ( wave pool and the kids pools) but I would still rate it 5 stars overall.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: great resort

This resort is HUGE, The people are great and the place is very clean. There is lots large selection for food at the buffet and I can honestly say it was all great! We had no complaint at this resort and I go on a vacation like this every year.

Secrets Huatulco: Wonderful Resort in Huatalco

Secrets was a perfect resort for a relaxing getaway. Quiet, luxurious, beautiful. Impeccable service, great food. Would recommend for adults wanting a relaxing getaway. Beach was course sand, but pools were perfect.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Huge, clean resort!

My fiancé, his parents and I visited the Occidental Grand Xcaret from March 31-April 7. The only hitch we had is as a family, we wanted to have our rooms close together and we were first placed in 2 different buildings. Once it was brought to their attention, they were able to put us in the same building, even the same floor! When I was first searching for our vacation resort, my instructor priority was size. To say that this resort is big is an understatement. Now we love to explore so this wa [... read more]s perfect for us, but if you don't care to walk then maybe avoid this resort. You're right in the jungle so there is plenty of shade if you need it, and plenty of sun as well. Huge pools, plenty of loungers, minimal beach. The small beach we were aware of before we booked and it didn't bother me in the least. In fact, it was perfect for snorkeling... tons of fish to see right on site! There is a lot of wildlife to see as you walk through the resort. Many restaurants, some we liked, some not as much. But even for picky eaters, you'll always find something to eat. Everyone is so friendly, we especially loved Fabian, who always greeted us at the snack bar by the pool. All in all it was a very enjoyable trip and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Amazing resort, clean, clean!

The Grand Azul was wonderful new and clean, we loved the room service snd the salt water pools were awesome! Only the buffet lacked, a nice turkey of roast of porky or beef would be wonderful for the buffet for dinner!

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Beautiful resort!

Very tropical resort and clean! Service was good. My cousin and I went for her 50th birthday and we had a great time. Maybe a bit more food could be added to the evening buffet. I would definitely go back.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Not really adults only

Not impressed with this resort. They market themselves as adults only but it is part of a much larger complex which is for all ages. In addition there is only one restaurant in the adult section so you pretty much have to dine with tons of kids around. Also they don't take reservations in advance so you have wait Atleast one hour for a table. Complete waste of time on a precious holiday. Go the royal hideaway by occidental resorts instead which is also in the Maya and is only for adults!
