Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Wonderful Vacation!

This Resort was more than we expected. We checked in to our room and were a bit disappointed at the rundown appearance, but the staff quickly showed us a few rooms and we were given one that was beautiful, with no fuss. The shuttles to and from different pools, beach, restaurants were extremely awesome and quick. This is a great feature for seniors who may have a hard time walking the huge property. They knew us by name, had our drinks out before we ordered and went the extra mile to make it a fun and memorable evening. The pools are beautiful and relaxing. I love the chair shelf where you could lay on a chair in the water to cool down. The beach was a bit rough , not the prettiest but the pools more than made up for it. The beach offers lounge chairs and beautiful beds to lay on and the view is stunning. I heard much talk about the VIP beaches and restaurants, but honestly, all the VIPS were at the resort pools and restaurants because there is more action. The VIPs are good if you prefer private vacations. The staff made this vacation the best. I'll not forget Wilfredo, Jackson and Louisa in the main buffet ask for them , you will not be disappointed. Ricardo was a wonderful driver and valet. We did Sea World and the Royal dolphin swim. I've done this several times each at different places, this was by far the best and well worth the money. The city tour was awesome as well, if you want to just enjoy the sites and a bit of shopping. Over all I was very impressed and the overall resort is breathtaking and we are planning our next vacation with our family to this resort!

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Good for the first time in Dominican !

Grounds: The entrance upon arrival is beautiful, grand lobby very clean but it's open so don't expect any AC . The resort is fairly large but not too much walking. If your room is near area 2 & 3 , you are steps away from the main pool bar & the beach. Rooms: We stayed in the Majestic Elegance jacuzzi junior suite and the room was very nice. However , after staying in it for a couple days we started to notice leaks and a very strong stench of sewage. The jacuzzi in the room was fantastic. We we [... read more]re offered to upgrade our room to the Elegance Club but we didn't. It was $100 a night extra , and the perks only included 24 hours towel service (which isn't worth it because the pool closes at 6 and you already receive 20 + towels in your room) . Also, you get access to a private pool (which is crowded because everyone thinks Elegance club is amazing but it really isn't that big of a difference). The extra " perk " was having 2 jacuzzis one outside and one indoor. We spoke to a couple who was a part of the elegance club and they told us they didn't even use the outdoor jacuzzi because it was way too hot & humid. Pools/ Beach: The pool was fairly large & crowded. They had a foam party while we were there and it was very fun ! The staff that was part of the entertainment crew were amazing. However, if you stay in the pool long enough you'll realize that all the tiles are actually coming off the floor of the pool. The beach was phenomenal but every day they raised the red flag because of the heavy current . Food : The food was bland , but hey free room service from 6 AM - 12 AM who can complain ! Overall: First time going to Dominican & it was better than i expected . I do recommend this resort but if you're looking to stay at a more "modern & americanized "5 star resort i recommend the Hard Rock !

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing Resort - Special thanks to Edwin

We went on our honeymoon to this wonderful resort. We want to give a very special thanks to Edwin at check in/check out. He made our stay a most remember able and enjoyable one. The ambiance of the resort is break taking. The food was top notch and with lots of variety. The pools were very clean and fun to swim in. Riu Bambu: Great resort

When we first got to the resort we though "wow those negative reviews were so wrong". Overall, our stay was good. The food was initially great but got very repetitive by the end of it. The restaurants were nothing special as most of the food there were also available in the main buffet. Everything was super cheesy/fatty so expect to gain a few pounds! The quality of the meat is not the greatest, so I recommend sticking with seafood. We paid extra and upgraded our room, which is worth it! No issues with ants or bugs in the upgraded rooms and they were very clean. Overall, this resort is definitely worth what you pay for. I'm a little picky and would probably not go again, would like to try Macao or the Palace one day.

Punta Cana Princess: Excellent resort.

Our recent stay at the Punta Cana Princess in September was great. This was our fourth visit to Punta Cana and we have stayed at a different resort each time. My wife and I agreed that the Princess, for our liking, was the best so far for the money spent. Everyone has their preferences for amenities like a disco, casino, pool, and activities they would like to partake in but the basics of a resort such as cleanliness, service, food and general overall friendliness of the staff are what's importa [... read more]nt to us and this resort was superior to any we have been to in Punta Cana.

Sunscape Dominican Beach: Nice resort but....

We were in Punta Cana in late August at the Barcelo Beach. Unfortunately, there was a lot of algea on the beach and cleaning up by staff was not very fast and thourough. The buffet is more or less average and food is just fair. The a la carte restaurant required reservation only 1 day in advance and all have to be made at the desk (not allowed by phone). Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: VERY GOOD RESORT

We were two families with children and found the resort to be: excellent; super clean; attention to detail; excellent food; friendly and helpful staff; immaculate gardens; great pools and overall great experience.

Occidental Caribe: barcelo punta cana

Barcelo punta cana was "FANTASIC!" i loved it. The food, the water, the rooms was be on great. I even met my forever unicorn, Bruce and I feel in love with each other and Barcelo Punta Cana, two thumbs up!

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Resort was ok

Hotel was out of date. The service wasnt great. Took them 3 days to replace my broken phone. Wifi wasnt free which agent told us it was. We paid 50 a person and the wifi didnt work in our room. The hotel looked run down from other dreams resort I've been too.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Amazing people, amazing resort!

My daughter and I have met the most amazing people ever!!!!! The night shows and the entertainment team are, by far, the highlight! I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who wants to relax and party! We hope to see you all again next year!!!! :) Cheers, Oana and Dorina

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing Resort!!!!!

My family of four (we have two kids 5 and 7) stayed at Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda twice already! And we are planning to go again next year!! This is an amazing resort, very clean, great food, and great time all together!

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Decent resort, bad local tourists

The resort, the food, the staff, the animation team and the beach were pretty decent for the price paid. However, over the week-ends the resort got invaded by locals. They are noisy, unpolite, unconsiderate and behave like fricking savages. They were practically everywere, in the pool, on the beach, at the restaurant making sure to ruin every moment of your day with their incessant screaming, loud talking, splashing, rude playing, smoking and their annoying music. VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Good but average

The rooms were clean. The premises were clean. Fairly easy to change your room if you dont like the one that has been assigned to you and many people were changing their rooms when we were there. The food was very average. Though the water was supposed to be purified, I had diarrhea after the first 5 days. It lasted the duration of my two weeks stay. My family also had diarrhea. 3 out of 14 shows, after supper, were good or worth watching. Sellers of the tour operator tickets to go places were t [... read more]he worst. Complete robbery. Prices were jacked up to the max. to augment thier commission. The price on our Visa bill well exceeded that which we though we paid. We went in August. The beach was beautiful but on some days, there were lots of sea weeds. OK stay but on the whole, I expected more.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Truly surpassed all expectations

I must say that the resort was splendid. The décor in the lobby and surrounding areas was glitzy and tasteful. Everything was well organized and very clean. The cleaning and grounds maintenance staff always tried working behind the scenes away from the guests. The staff was courteous and very helpful. W [... read more]alking around the resort was not difficult and almost impossible to get lost. The beach was very nice. We enjoyed our early morning beach walks from one resort to another. The water was warm and clear. For some reason, the sand on the beach nerve got too hot to walk on barefoot. The best part of this trip was the food. What an incredible selection.From the many buffets to the various themed luxury restaurants, everything we tried was rated 5 stars. We are already talking about going back for a winter vacation getaway.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Nice resort

Food is good. We didn't try other restaurants, we ate buffet everyday. People are very friendly and accommodate your needs in every way. Beach was very nice..Very clean..recommend upgrade to Superior rooms.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: great family resort

Second time at this resort had a great time the nightly entertainment is great the food could be better I recommend a LA carte good customer service was never bored entertainment waa the best food the worst

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing resort

Example: What did you think about  this hotel? (grounds, public areas, rooms, dining, features, etc.) As this was the first time to the DR we did not know what to expect. Absolutely fantastic grounds and service at the resort. Food was excellent and great variety, rooms spacious and pool and beach area's terrific. All staff was very accomodating to all of our needs and the entire family enjoyed the trip.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Awesome Tesort

We just got back from The Royalton and I can't wait to go back. The rooms were beautiful, the service was awesome and the food was fantastic. The pools were beautiful as was the beach. The kids enjoyed the waterpark and so did the adults. There were a lot of activities and Francis, Luis and Cappucino were fun, energetic and knew how to get you involved!! It was a great vacation!!

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Great resort

Great resort. very clean rooms with extremely comfortable beds. ALL the staff in this resort were professionals, happy to make ur stay as pleasant as they could. All the staff. Location is really a paradise. Food can be improved. We had a great time!
