Occidental Punta Cana: Not bad, could be better!

should have listened to the trip central agent, mind you not bad, but could be better. Service could be a lot better. Grounds are very nice and clean. Food options are numerous especially the buffet, yummm! Mexican was great, didnt try steak house but chinese was ok, italian was notch above ok. Mangu was nice, service at mangu sucks especially the bar tenders snobby! music is only spanish! no one knows how to speak english on the entire resort! language a big problem. beach was ok to good, day before we left, there was a ton of sea weed that was not cleaned up but they werent the only ones who didnt. tons of bars around, never too far from anything at least if your in building 23. Entertainment was ok to good, they were making an effort to entertain. overall nothing spectacular but i guess it is what you pay for. Nothing bad to complain about really. But definitely not 4+ stars. Bring your own conditioner they only have body wash and shampoo!!! and bring bug repellent for some reason we were incredibly itchy the entire time, and didnt see any mosquitoes only occasionally so not sure why, unless there were bed bugs but not confirmed. Will try Bahia Principe if I go back to punta cana. Preference club no special treatment!

Tropical Deluxe Princess: good resort

the grounds are well kept the staff work hard but if you expect air conditioning in the room good luck most rooms no air but rooms are well kept and clean the food is good but I would say stay at one of the sister princess resorts staying at the tropical princess you are only allowed to use 2 of the 5 alacart restaurants if you would like to go to the others its 11$ per person

Occidental Punta Cana: Great Resort!

Overall the resort is great! The food, beach and service are wonderful. The only complaint I have is that they don't have enough beach towels available and there are too many hecklers always trying to sell you something. Other than that it's great!

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: good resort

We enjoyed the resort. The room was great except that there was a leak in our bathroom. The service was amazing. The staffs were accommodating. We thing they should have more activities for the kids club.

Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata: Terrible

From the moment I arrived with the front desk trying to make me take a superior room instead of my suite that I booked - Always take 2 copies of you travel documents with you, they will take your hotel documents and then tell you that you booked a different category. When the see that you have an extra document the will back down and give you your proper room's(don't give them you 2nd copy) The buffet food for breakfast was terrible consisting of boiled potatoes, fried hotdogs, what I think was  [... read more]suppose to be scrambled eggs(never touched them) and a section were you can have your eggs cooked, mine was always runny even though I asked for fried. They are suppose to open at 7:00am but are never fully ready with the bread and stuff like the toaster, butter, fruits juices, try going around 8:30am they might be ready. Lunch same thing Dinner not much of a choice 2 items to choose from, I took the beefsteak and it came to me so shinny I could see my reflection in the meat (that's no JOKE). Needless to say I went out almost everyday to eat. Big waist of a al-inclusive. Folks I have been traveling to Puerto Plata for 20 years all with in this compound of Playa Dorada. I can tell you that this resort (CELIUSMA) is the worst I have ever stayed at in the Playa Dorada complex. A great hotel to Recommend to your Enemies.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great Resort, Fantastic Beach

The Majestic Colonial Club met all our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the adult section of this hotel especially having the Lounge for snacks, drinks and internet access and an adult pool. However areas where there were families were well planned to suit their needs. We dined at a couple of a la carts but discovered we preferred the excellent buffet presented each evening. Punta Cana has one of the best beaches in the Caribbean where you could sun, swim or walk. We spent many hours relaxing in the sun.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fantastic Resort!

Being repeat customers to the Bahia Principe Resort, my wife and I along with another couple were upgraded to VIP class during our stay at the Adults only Ambar grounds. We were also given rooms on the second floor facing the pool by the beach! Our rooms, the grounds, public areas & washrooms, etc., were always kept clean and immaculate. Service at the pool, beach, restaurants was always with a smile and prompt. Dinner at the Ambar main restaurant was so good every night(different themes) that w [... read more]e had no reason to book at the al la carte restaurants. Alcohol drinks were well poured and never watered down. The weather was amazing (hot & sunny) during the week of Aug7-15 with some rain around 2am. The miles of beach and warm ocean made it difficult to stay by the pool and its amenities. The only frowns were from guests who were on their last day on the resort….me included. A big thanks to the staff at Ambar (Albania, Bianca, etc)…see you next year:)

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Great vacation great people!

Travelled there with my best friend, we are 30-something's. Hotel was great! A couple minor issues but easily forgettable if you're laid back and just there for a vacation and not to nit-pick. All staff were great and each person spoke at least 3 languages (almost all spoke English) so very easy to communicate. Food was great! Been to Mexico, Cuba, and Jamaica, and this was my favourite, you can't go wrong when they serve pizza to everyone on the resort around 4pm everyday!! Amazing!!

Grand Bavaro Princess: A little disappointed

This was our second time at this resort, but was a bit disappointed. First, my cousin and I both got bacteria from the food we ate, I think it was at the private island, from the chicken. Second, didn't like to see the birds flying in the dining area while we were eating and the cat walking along the edge of the dining area. After discovering that we had bacteria from the food we were more cautious to see things like this. Also, it could of been from the bottled water. Third, the second time we  [... read more]stayed at this resort, we didn't get our bottle of liquor and fresh fruit when we arrived at our room like the first time, we have to ask for it. Also, the Italian restaurant was a disaster. Long wait time, food was not Italian and poor selection.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Really good foe what we paid

Place was nice right in town that was cool food ok resort was nice as well rooms were simple but clean didn't like time shares s they walk around all day bugging you had to tell no more then once other then that wait tell last minute u get really good deal wouldn't pay more then 700 a person for this trip

TRS Turquesa: The best resort to go to in Punta Cana

This resort is the best, with great food, excellent staff that go out of there way to please you. The swim up rooms are spacious and you can go swimming in the pool all day & late at night, I give it a 10/10. They even help you make a special occasion one that you'll treasure forever!

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Nice resort

Hotel grounds were lovely. Rooms clean maid great. Had to remind them to refill fridge but that was ok. Loved the resort. Beach ok water a bit cloudy Pool side lovely. But servic at bars very poor especially big lobby bar and pool side. Unless u tipped u might get a bit faster service

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Love the beach!!!

The size of this resort is overwhelming!!! We were fortunate enough to stay in building 307 - close to pools, the beach, and Pearl Buffet. I appreciated the fact that you can make à la carte restaurant reservations each day rather than eating at the Buffet. The food was good - always many choices to satisfy your every whim. Transportation to the various beaches and restaurants was provided and always arrived in a timely fashion - if we had to wait, it was 5 minutes at the most for the shuttles. [... read more] The main beach was never crowded and we always managed to find a bed. However, the one down side has to be the many stairs leading to the Cofresi lobby area. If someone has difficulty with walking up or down stairs, this resort would pose challenges.

TRS Turquesa: Amazing resort!!!

This was the most beautiful resort I've been at. Especially having the swim up pool!!! The staff was amazing and took care of us like royalty. The variety of restraints were excellent!!! Definitely would go back!!!

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: exceptional resort!!!!!!

one of the nicest places we've stayed and adults only! Rooms, food, beach and all amenities were wonderful. great staff. many options for meals, beach, pool and shows being able to utilize the palace resort but they can't use Bavaro Beach! Nice surprise when celebrated my birthday by the resort.....!! Will be back again one day for sure!

Secrets Royal Beach: The usual Secrets...Superior!!!!!

The room-type that we had requested was not available so we were assigned to another. Not pleased until we stayed one day in our "new" room. WOW!! We were definitely up-graded. The swim-up river was 5 seconds away and the a la cartes were 15 seconds. Room service was 15 minutes since we were so close to the major restaurants. The beach was, again, as usual (amazing in size. length, and quality) so we walked at least twice each day. Staff were more than helpful and friendly. Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: perfect honeymoon

This resort is amazing! Food is out of this world service is good rooms are definitely the best we have had when going away all exclusive. Harry our butler was the best he took care of everything we needed and didn't even know we needed it! Beautiful and quiet for couples looking for a vacation were you can relax, eat great food with lots to do. Can't wait to go back you ate treated like kings and queens. Thank you majestic!

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Okay resort

I was getting married , they didn't give us a king sized bed they attached 2 single beds in one which was so un comfortable our tv was broken every time we called they said they would be right up but never came . The food made me really sick and my husband is from the same city and he got even more sick from the food . Verry repetitive . The pizzeria on the top floor was the only good spot I found didn't make me sick , the pool was massive but filled with kids and hotter water then I would have  [... read more]in my bath . The beach is gorgeous as always . The people are rude who work there and to many locals .

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Average Resort

This resort is definitely not a five-star. The air conditioner was broken, and the staff promised to have it fixed. It took 3 days before they would switch our room. The staff was not overly nice, and I felt as if I was an inconvenience. The beach was beautiful, the food was average. Definitely not worth paying $1600, that's for sure!

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: So big, but always something to do!

As you all are probably going to read.... Yes, the resort was huge. I still got lost on the last day I was leaving! (Had to take short cuts through the grass!) Other than that, it was great! I'll give everyone a run down: Food: Excellent choice! They change up the theme every night. Mexican night was so delish! A La Carte's: The group I was with had unlimited a la carte's so we went to three: Mexican, Asian and Japanese. I recommend the Mexican because they fajitas were so good! And the Japanes [... read more]e because the show is entertaining! Pool: I can always get a seat, maybe not under shade, but at least there are seats. .. One pool to swim in and it was never over crowded. They did however start their activities so late in the afternoon (about 5:00pm) that we didn't feel like joining. They did have good activities though! (Foam party in the pool, giant blow up slide...) Workers walking around with animals: There is a company that walks around with a different animal each day. (Sometimes a monkey, birds, iguana, snakes...) They want about $12-$15 to take some pictures that you can get on a CD. Don't bother asking them to take pictures with your own camera. Tried to give them money but they were rude to me. All well! Grounds: So nicely kept! They work so hard to maintain everything there. Make sure to give the gardeners something. Even if it's a bottle of water. They will appreciate it so much. There are a few from Haiti that came over to work so they will love anything you give them. Rooms: These are one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. They are huge! Loved the layout of the rooms. - I was in 1466 which is building 46. Close to the pool and lobby. :) Beach: Amazing. Need I say more? - It's gorgeous! The sand, the turquoise water, the fact that you can just walk out into the ocean with it being all sand is amazing. Loved Bavaro Beach! Sports bar: THE CHICKEN. I fell in love. They have breaded chicken that is so good you will become addicted. Seriously. If it wasn't so unhealthy I would have ate it the entire trip! Disco: Lot's of fun! Didn't turn into a sweat box like the rest of the resorts I've been to. It's pretty aired out. No complaints! Overall: I had a great time! Other than the constant walking.. (Bring a beach bag to put all of your stuff in so you don't have to go back to the room). Great resort for friends, family, and couples. - Not as much activities for children as I have seen on other resorts but still fun. Room Tip: 1466 - Building 46 - Close to the pool, lobby and piano bar.
