Occidental Punta Cana: Great stay

We found everything good and well organised. The staff were always cheerful and helpful. The beaches were clean and there were lots of activities to choose from. The food at the buffet was out best choice with lots to choose from. All in all we had a very relaxing stay at the resort.

This is a great Resort. Good infrastructure, clean, excellent staff. If I can make a recommendation the Internet cost should be included with the all the rooms. There is room to improve the fine dinning at the restaurants, but in general a great experience.

Occidental Punta Cana: Unforgettable Experience

We just came back from our wedding at the Occidental Punta Cana, we had the most amazing time with all our friends and relatives, the hotel is the perfect size, big but not so much that you could still walk back and forth to the beach and the lobby several times a day, many options for dining, although a little hard to book the restaurants but the buffet had so many choices and different things every day, the beach is amazing, well maintained, overall super happy to have chosen this hotel for ou [... read more]r big day!

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Not a good experience with the hotel and the staff

We were charged for a broken TV that we have nothing to do with, it was already broken when we arrived. The hotel charged us $515 US for an old TV and we were not given a chance to defend ourselves. We do not understand the language and they were just taking one side of the puzzle. We do not recommend the hotel to anyone who wish to go to Cuba. We are not going back Cuba at all.

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: Will be back next year!

this past trip has been my fifth time in Mexico and i think i have finally found the resort that i will keep going back to; the enormity of the property gives me the much needed space just to relax and be on your own when needed - the fact that you didn’t need to get up so early in the morning just to save a lounge chair on the beach counts a lot!! multiple activities within the resort ground, food is good and the whole place is very clean - no plastic cups, straws, or any single use plastics [... read more] littering around; any reported problems are dealt with very quickly and the staff are so friendly and amazing and always ready to assist - shout out to the staff of the Maya beach resort buffet restaurant (particularly Sylvia Balam and Roberto) and also the Spa staff (particularly Mimi and Guendalin). Many thanks to all of you! I had a fantastic time! I hope that Barceló resort will always be managed well.

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: Fabulous vacation at Barceló Maya Grand Resort

Stayed at the Barceló Maya Beach for a week. The place is huge , lots of walking but it’s nice clean , well maintained . The staff are very friendly , with special mention to Selva and Roberto at the buffet during breakfast . The food is good lots of choices. Everyday is a different theme for dinner. I enjoyed the Spanish food (seafood and paella ). I also love having lunch at the snack bar overlooking the beach.

Palma Real: The surprise of june 20 th week

my first room was on the fifth floor and we had to take the eleavator up but it just went to the fourth floor had to carry me lugage up to the fifth floor we get their and there is no key to the safe and no remote for the tv so we asked for another room so they told me to check the seconded floor room but it had two single beds and I asked for a king bed and I would have to walk up the stairs still then they gave me a room on the first floor the room was good everything worked but we had alot of [... read more] mosqiotos all week and the food was not good at all and the workers said it was because their was alot of cubans their that week but the staff was trying their best

Palma Real: it's ok not great

was there in April 2019.was better then .I went June 2019 , many mosquitos in the room and so many in the lobby bitten hundreds of times it was unreal .was wasn't very good this week only good on two days , room was cleaned every day and front lobby bar was good as last time .I've been to Cuba 60 plus times , just so you know I'm not that picky if the resort is around 550 to 600 I think it would be ok . bring lots of bug spray , the rooms are old and pool bar one needs some fixing up cuba star [... read more] rating would be 2 to 2.5 at max .

Occidental Caribe: Beautiful resort

We had a beautiful stay at the Occidental caribe the resort its self was amazing and very clean it was nice to see that the staff took pride in there jobs to make your stay comfortable an fun. Plenty of places to get drinks you can also sit an relax in the lobby when you want to cool off . I was not to impressed with the shows but did like the Michael Jackson show. the grounds an the beach was amazing. Over all I give this resort a 4 out of 5 an would recommend this resort to my family and friends

Occidental Caribe: Super nice!

Very nice resort, well maintained. Our room didn’t look recently renovated, but was sufficiently spacious and clean. We paid a little extra for an ocean view, totally worth it! Pools are great, clean and heated. There is one just for kids, so preschoolers can have lots of fun. Beach: amazing. Out of 7 days, there were 2 where there seemed to be more algae, but it was quickly cleaned. The buffet is huuuge! There is a great variety of food, both Caribbean and international. Not a big deal, but I believe that with better planning, they would be able to offer better service.

Occidental Cozumel: One of the best value

Average size hotel, not too many rooms; surrounded by nature - very beautifull. Located in the Cozumel natural park - they preserve a lot of trees between their buildings, keeping quietness. Food is good, drinks are nicely done. Service quality varies. We appreciated the free hour kayak rental ;). Cool ambiance/atmosphere around pool : they vary the music (rock included ;) . Palma Real: Not good

June is a very busy time for the cuban people to vacation. Big lines for food and drinks. Had to eat out every day.the staff are friendly though. I did lose a towel issued by the hotel and even though it was my fourth time at the resort they still changed me 20 pesos when checking out

Palma Real: Stay away from this resort !!! Disgusting! Disgusting!

I have stayed at this resort on several occasions throughout the years. This was the final stay for me. Food is horrible! Beds are old and springs jabbing you in the back! Rooms have bedbugs, and the worst part is it’s steadily going downhill. Nothing gets fixed. It only gets macgivered! Put a bandaid mentality. They recently opened it to the local Cubans and it’s not a resort you want to be at while they are there. Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Awesome times at Occidental at Xcaret

The Occidental at Xcaret resort is amazing! It is a large resort with lots of offerings. Many restaurants, bars, pools and a nice man made beach that is calm. A wonderful trolley will continuously stroll up and down the paths and take you wherever you need to go. This is fun but also helpful for the young and old who may not find it easy to get around as easy. The resort is in the jungle so you have the amazing wildlife and monkeys freely roaming around the resort and even will visit you on your [... read more] balcony. We had an amazing corner preference suite in building 18 on the second floor that had a seating area, large bathroom, mini fridge and large wraparound balcony. The best part is that we were on the quieter side closer to the jungle so the monkeys visited a lot. The attentive staff working at the the resort are always asking if you are enjoying your stay and always say hi as you pass by. The food in the main dining room buffet is delicious and plenty of variety. The canal through the resort is beautiful also. Every evening a traditional Mayan celebration happens we’re they paddle up the canal with drums. There are many shops with items made in Mexico from beautiful sterling jewelry, wood carvings, clothing and more. A wonderful feature about this resort and location is that it is adjoining to the Xcaret adventure park where you can swim through natural waterways, through tunnels and caves, see and swim with dolphins, see manatees, sea turtles, stingrays and so much more! The horse show and Mayan night show is not to miss! This resort is amazing!!

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Amazing resort

the service is great, it’s been my fifth time going and I would definitely go back again. It sits on a big land with lots of greenery(palm trees, cactuses, tropical plant). Almost like a botanical garden.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Good resort- a lot of walking

We loved the jungle atmosphere this resort has to offer. Tons of wildlife to see. Negatives were the beach- lots of seaweed and very small, and everywhere was a 10 minute walk since the resort is so massive. The food was great apart from the main buffet, eat anywhere else but there. best sushi at the a la carte. Seafood restaurant had great steak. Barcelo Maya Colonial: This resort for all people

I like this resort, This resort for all kind of people. I have access for all Barcelona beach, colonial, crabe, Tropical, I like the bus driving around the resort, Maya mall, sportsbar, we watched the raptors game on the big screen, if you have kids, all inside this resort. Occidental Arenas Blancas: IM NOT PICKY BUT DO HAVE LIMITS

Never been disappointed in a vacation before arriving at this resort. I dont expect much but you should get at least close to what you payed for. Kids playing beer pong in the front lobby,garbage everywhere. This place is like a scene from a horror movie. Broken toilet seat, no blankets. The room was supposed to be for 3 adult women. We got a king size bed and a cot. Front desk staff was also annoyed by our request of blankets and pillow for the cot. I could continue with the things that made me unhappy upon arrival but I'll focus on the fact that we got moved to Grand Memories and had an amazing vacation.. Barceló bavaro place exceed all my expectations.it was beautiful staff are very happy and friendly. The service was good and the rooms were clean. The food is very good, and people were great. Had a good experience.
