Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: This resort is amazing.

The Grand Aquamarine is an amazing resort, sorry I only booked for a week, next time it will be for longer. Front desk staff Annabell was absolutely wonderful and saved our vacation. We booked a ground floor room with our travel agent with two beds, we did not get that we were given a room on the second floor with one bed. However, they did provide a extra single with a good mattress. My friend is unable to navigate the stairs and was in great pain by the first full day of our vacation. We  [... read more]met Annabell at the front desk and she checked for a room for us and had it fixed and cleaned and helped us move to the new room and brought us closer to the lobby and the buffet, she was awesome and so helpful and saved our vacation. We also had some dealings with Yudelka at the front desk and she was also very nice and helpful, always cheerful and smiling. Alba who cleaned our room everyday was a beautiful soul and so helpful and friendly, made sure our suite was great everyday and provide great service. Eddie at the lobby bar was always smiling and happy and made us laugh, very attentive and friendly, the staff there was also very good. We tried 3 of the ala carte restaurants and they were good, but a big shout out to the buffet staff that made our meals there the best. Edwin and the staff that worked with him were the greatest and made us laugh and have fun every day. The resort the entertainment every night was great, we met a lot of really nice people and staff there. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Overall this was a very nice resort.

The grounds of the hotel were beautiful. To get from the lobby area to the rooms and pools you went thru a jungle that was filled with exotic birds, iguanas and turtles. The beach was wonderful, groomed daily every morning. Once we got our room sorted, first one had just been painted smelled of paint and was small, second was facing the back of the hotel, balcony overlooked a brick wall with meshing, finally last room was on second floor overlooking the pool and beach, lovely balcony and very  [... read more]spacious. The restaurants were good, had to book in advance a reservation if you wanted to get it. Buffet was always well stocked and had plenty of choices. Most of the staff were pleasant, there were a few that looked like they really did'nt want to be there! The nightly shows in the outdoor theatre were fun to watch. Lots of variety of drinks at the various bars around the resort!

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Mixed Feelings - Lovely Resort

The grounds are lovely and the waterparks and beach fantastic for kids. It is a very large resort and a trolley is provided to take you to and from the beach and eating areas. We ate mostly in the 2 buffets since fixed a la carte dining times don't gel with toddlers. We have been to the DR annually for 25 years and not sure I would come back to this resort. The main drawback for us for the organization and food selections for the 2 buffet restaurants. Our room locations were great to enable  [... read more]us to walk to wherever we needed - 8654 superior room which was close to the family duplex our daughter/grandkids had. The rooms were a little dated but had everything you would need - maid service was fantastic. 2 of our group played golf and enjoyed the course. Elevators are provided to get to higher floords as needed. The theatre area was lovely with lots of seating. I needed to use the onsite medical clinic ClinicAssist. They are very professional, have any medications you may need and the staff speak English well.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Awesome resort

This is a wonderful resort! The greenery is so beautiful! The staff are so friendly and very accommodating. Food was very good. Loved that it was a short walk from the main pool to the beach. Might need a few more shades areas but we had an amazing time. Would definitely go back again.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Incredible Resort

This newest resort is everything you expect on a vacation. The resort is beautiful and so well planned out with structural accommodation. The staff are such beautiful people that make you feel like family. The restaurants are wonderful and the buffet is everything one needs. The gym is excellent and the young man was so welcoming and personal. He made us feel like we were home. And loved the pickle ball courts as so well known in our home town. Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Wonderful vacation.

We had an amazing vacation. The weather was hot! The food was fantastic. The kids loved the buffet. I was worried after reading reviews about getting sick but we had amazing food and no one got sick! The ala carte restaurants we went to (steakhouse and italian) were very good. The staff is exceptional. Contagious happy personalities that made the stay! Awesome pool. The ocean was warm and area in front of the resort was great, lots of sea grass otherwise. We stayed in privilege, rooms were ok,  [... read more]clean, air conditioning worked, and beds were comfy. Our only issue was that our sunwing transfer didn't come for return to airport and we had to get a taxi and pay which was supposed to be part of our package. Overall a amazing family trip and would recommend resort.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Not very good

The grounds were beautiful and well kept up, entertainment was very good a night. Rooms were clean but dated. The big problem is the service, waited for drink everywhere we went Morning,Day and night. Sometimes we would be finished breakfast before we could get coffee. The staff just seemed to not care. Lastly the pool is no good to hang out in unless you were 6 feet or taller.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Wonderful resort!

The only complaint is that some of the food at the buffet was cold. At the Smokehouse, the brisket was very dry and tough but the chicken and fries were really good. Other than that we had a great time!! Loved the resort!! Staff was wonderful!!

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Fabulous Resort

Great rooms and an amazing location (all clean and well cared for) and attentive staff in all areas- shout out to Sandy!! Food at the restaurants, buffet and coffee shop was delicious! A variety of activities and entertainment to choose from! Overall a great 10 days!!

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Thoroughly a great experience

We had a great time at the resort. The staff were helpful and the grounds well maintained. We had a couple issues however. First of all we weren't impressed with the food. Not a big variety and the meats were overcooked and fatty. After the second day I basically became a vegetarian. Also there was not any itineraries for us to know of things going on.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great resort

The hotel was good. The flrs invthe hallways was always dirty. Aleaysneeded to ask for second towel they took away 2 and replaced with one. 2 people srsying there. The entertsinment was good . Loved the games. Loved it when they prepared different foods every day by the pool. Restaurants were average. Staff very friendly.

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Serenade Delivers

My wife recently returned from a fabulous week at the Serenade All Suites, Adults Only resort in Punta Cana. This is a new, modern, beautiful, and very well-maintained resort. Rooms are large and offer everything you need. The resort offers a large beach with great walking, and 3 large pools inn a beautiful setting. Ocean swimming is somewhat limited but not an issue. Palapas for shade are plentiful especially surrounding the pools. Service was fast at restaurants and the overall staff at the resort was top notch. Understand that many of the staff speak mostly Spanish so cut them some slack and all is good! This was one of the best vacation experiences we have enjoyed over the years. Also, a short trip from the airport, 15 minutes, which was nice. Overall, i would rate this resort as a B+ to an A.

Riu Republica: Average Resort

The rooms need some upgrades. We had issues with the shower not draining properly, the phone not working, and mold in the shower and room. Staff were somewhat able to assist but requests had to be repeated.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort

This was our second stay at this resort and it was just as beautiful as I remembered. I was disappointed when we arrived as I had called ahead twice sharing that we were bringing two other couples for their first time and requested a building and to be all together. This didn’t happen unfortunately and they tried to separate us and the building we reheated was not available they said. After a long wait we didn’t manage to at least get in the same building. The food was great and service was good [... read more]. Few days not enough towels in room but we were able find some. My son dealt with our butler on behalf of all of us which was Jose. He was wonderful and went over and above to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We loved the beach bags waiting for us upon our arrival ! They were well used and appreciated !

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Bad Choice

It was a typical basic resort, food,room,entertainment I definetly wouldn't refer anyone, no need to do sunclub save your money, couldn't find a representive at all, alot of locals, plently of hot water to shower and over flowing toilets, weather was good, the only bonus was no towel deposit.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Exceptional trip dimmed by subpar trip advisor

Our stay at Melia Caribe was truly remarkable, characterized by stunning views. However, our experience with Trip Central fell short of expectations. Despite booking our accommodations for our wedding group through their platform, there were significant issues with hotel bookings and a lack of support following a flight delay. Their lack of precision and assistance during crucial moments of our trip left us feeling frustrated and inconvenienced. It was disheartening to rely on others to rectify the situation instead of receiving the support we expected from Trip Central. Despite these challenges, we recommend Melia Caribe Beach Resort. The resort's commitment to excellence, coupled with its breathtaking surroundings, made our stay truly unforgettable. While our experience with Trip Central may have been disappointing, our time at Melia Caribe was nothing short of exceptional.

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Great trip

Just back from a 7 day stay and very satisfied with many aspects. The service was first class, the resort was on the smaller size which made it very easy to get to all areas. Restaurants were very good with good selections of entrees. The beverages were excellent and I have to send a special thank you to Roberto who took care of us at the pool bar. All and all I would recommend this hotel to everyone especially seniors because of the easy access to everything.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Disappointed

The check in experience was horrible, they could not find our booking, we arrived at 1030 and didn't get a room until 4am and they insisted we pay again because they could not find our booking even though we had all the proof to show we booked. We do not advise booking with trip central, we emailed in advance because we were worried , the resort could not find our booking, we were asking for something special for an anniversary, spoke to our travel agent and she assured us everything would be fi [... read more]ne, which it in fact was not. So that was frustrating because we tried to resolve this before arriving and the travel agent didn't intervene. Resort was way too big, the food was ok, my partner and i both got food poisoning. Overall disappointing

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Booking nightmare

The grounds and resort is very pretty, extremely large and a long walk from lobby to room and room to beaches and pools like 20 to 30 minutes long. We were a group of 30 for a wedding 3 couples didn't have rooms /booking not found by resort , we waited/ fought for 5 hours then we had to put the rooms on our visa and fight with our agent to confirm our booking. The people at lobby for bookings have NO idea who are in rooms. They gave us rooms that had people in them . Couldn't book a la carte as [... read more] our names weren't the couple showing up in our room . Every couple had to run several time to lobby to re- activate their key cards. The resort did compensate us with Level bracelets for our troubles. Some of the rooms are run down some had no hot water, some no air conditioning, some mirror fell off in bathroom, unable to lock patio doors, the bridal couple was stuck on second level in a double bed and shower only while the rest of the group had family rooms on main level with king size bed and jacuzzi tub. Some couple in our group got the wedding package and champagne delivered to their room with desert, not the bridal couple. For booking 8 months in advance you would think k they would have kept the group together in one building instead they scattered our 17 rooms all over in individual buildings, there wasn't any of us that was in same buildings. Will never book Melia again and the staff on resort very nice and friendly but you need to train the booking staff as none knew what they were doing. Even down to the supervisor juon no clue who was in what room and took 1 whole day to change the bridal couple to a new room and give the group their level bracelets. I have never seen such an unorganized resort but beautiful its a shame the staff is giving this resort a very bad name. More training !!
