Housekeeping needs improvement.Better communications between the housekeeping and front desk.The refrigerator in the room not restocked every second day as per the resorts information.The food not that great.Riu has better service in Jamaica,visited 3 resorts there.There was 6 members of the family

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Trip of a Lifetime!

What an amazing resort. The grounds were lush, and the beach sand like flour between our toes. A wonderful variety of fine restaurants to enjoy, as well as great entertainment. We were probably most impressed with the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. It felt like it was an honour to serve us!

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Not so 'Excellence': Instead an unaccommodating, poor experience

The hotel grounds are lovely, and the rooms are spacious and the beach is nice soft sand. That's where the good stuff ends. There are not nearly enough loungers on the massive beach (maybe this is a by-law?) Stressful trying to get a spot instead of being relaxed on vacation. There are no staff clearing chairs, so towels lay out all day so you aren't sure chairs are reserved or abandoned. The WORST is how the staff handle "situations". We were 9 people celebrating a friend's birthday. On [... read more]e dinner at the Lobster House we were told to be quiet. We had just raised glasses to honour our friend. No obscenities, just happy chatter amongst nine people. A staff member told us in an unfriendly tone that we were "annoying the guests" meaning the table right beside us. They moved them and the staff told us again to be quiet. We literally would have had to be silent or whisper. This restaurant is outdoors, was NOT full, and we were not being obnoxious (trust me, we CAN turn it up if we want to)! The second time I reminded the staff that we too were paying guests. The next night the hotel said they couldn't sit a table of nine - that there was no room in any restaurant. However we could "easily sit as two tables of 4 and 5 in any restaurant." After several of us spoke to staff, they finally gave us a table for nine in Toscana and it was fine. We didn't seem to "annoy any guests". Once 3 of us went into the cafe for to-go coffees. We had towels wrapped around ourselves (we were NOT wet and dripping water). While in line, a staff told us we had to leave. Stunned we asked why and she said there is a dress code. We simply didn't know there was one in the cafe. We apologized and asked if we could order 3 coffees and wait outside. "No. You are annoying the guests without cover ups, you have to leave." How about just a friendly "oh ladies, you need to wear cover ups in here." and when we offer the solution of waiting outside, realizing that is an easy, peaceful resolution? There are more incidences but I won't bore you. We were only there for 3 nights. We aren't disrespectful guests. We all travel a lot and have never had this type of treatment. We got talking to another group of people who were having similar experiences and never coming back. We will not be back. We will not recommend this place. We were a group of mostly couples there for a few days (a break from our kids!), yet the trip was tainted by the rudeness and lack of consideration from the staff for THESE guests. Clearly they are not empowered to problem solve or be accommodating to all guests and the manner with which they chose to engage with us every time, was unacceptable.

TRS Coral: Amazing vacations.

Everything was "over the top" . The service was exceptionnal. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The great choices of the restaurants, the quality of the food, the service ( and we were able to go without any reservation which for me was a bonus. I like to eat when I am hungry and not at a specific time). The room was simply amazing. Great spacious room with access to the swim up. Simply pricelesss. With the service of the butler and the 24 hours service for food, it was I felt like a princes [... read more]s. I enjoyed all the little details like the regular hair dryer, the essential oils body and hair products, the steam machine for clothes, the robes and slippers, the fridge always full of all you can ask, lots of water bottles. The Nespresso machine was a +++ for me. We were offered special treats at night; chocolates, Pringles, Snickers. I would definitely recommend this Hotel. Great, amazing vacations. We surely will go again soon.

TRS Coral: Steal of a deal

The wait staff were amazing and prompt with service! Bellmens, conceirge, butler service, and housekeepers were excellt as well. Although, with some of the bars, and other buildings still being under construction we were not able to check out the Chic Cabaret (quite disappointing) or the theatre for live entertainment. Due to construction, we knew we got a steal! The room was excellent, the resort had a beautiful layout, and the food was just lovely. Come Christmas and then on, I'm sure the whole place will be fully finished, and will be even better than when I was there.

Moon Palace Cancun: Great property

We stayed at the Grand and our room was upgraded to a beautiful suite on the ocean. There was lots to do, food was fabulous and the drinks provided were international brands we knew. Honestly the only issue we had was trying to get a trolley so we had to walk a lot but otherwise it is a great place to take your family. Couldn't use all the amenities during the week we were there but I am sure we will be back for another visit.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Excellent service

The hotel staff were amazing and so friendly. The resort was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the noise level throughout the night kept us up and there was construction going on at the hotel beside us. We asked to be moved but the hotel was at full capacity. They did try to get us a room at Dreams but we didn't want to be surrounded by children. Overall, the hotel, staff and food were great!

Riu Dunamar: Great Resort

Hotel is very nice all areas were clean and well kept. Standard rooms were large. Beach was great plenty of loungers ( no need for the 6am towel reserve crew) and plenty of shade. There was very little seaweed in the water and on the beach which was kept very clean. Food was good for an all inclusive. Premium drink brands served on request. Caution hotel is in a remote area so expensive to get to any shopping areas.

Beloved Playa Mujeres by Excellence: Beautiful Resort

The Beloved Hotel Playa Mujeres was one of the nicest hotels my wife and I have traveled to so far and we travel twice a year. We will definitely be traveling back to the beloved. Accommodations were top notch, dining was exceptional and staff were friendly and courteous. We had a swim up room, which was incredible. Staff could not do enough to enjoy our stay. A True winner of a resort..

Haven Riviera Cancun: Pretty Luxury

Wonderful swin-up with a great view to the ocean. Nice restaurants with no reservation and excellent food. Employees are nice with attention. Great pools with very confortable seatings and lots of places at the beach. Unfortunately long beach walk is not very accessible. 24 hours service and you can eat at pool or beach. Few activities. In 6 months, when it will be fully completed it will be a wonderful place. I would return anytime!

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Really nice trip

Resort is great in all areas. The service is exceptional. It's really nice when the entire staff really make an effort to make sure you have a great time. Food is excellent for an all inclusive, beach really nice too.

Emporio Cancun: Great experience!

Great hotel, food was very tasty and variety was large. we had a 7 day stay and all of our interactions with hotel staff was amazing. Yesenia our housemaid was absolutely amazing and made us feel right at home. our bar tenders (Ruben,Louis) made us feel very welcome and introduced us to many new and flavorful drinks while maintaining the upmost hospitality. we had purchased the all inclusive and they made sure our cups were never empty. 10/10.

Oh Cancun On The Beach: shortcomings

hotel checkin/checkout staff were rude. almost like you had to pay them in order for them to answer questions. wristband for oasis lite- does not get you drinks at the lobby nightclub (kinky) pay extra..to get water refilled in your room-pay extra. bathroom-no shower curtain, so water was all over the floor everytime

Secrets Playa Mujeres: PARADISE IN CANCUN!

This was our second time at a Secrets resort and it was amazing! We were here for a Family wedding and it was lovely on the beach. The grounds are beautiful, clean and well kept. The food was good with a nice variety to choose from and the Margaritas were number one! By far the staff at this resort really make it awesome. Friendly and they make it so much fun! Shout outs to Sexy Ross and Sexy Manny in entertainment. Wilberth, Antonio and Pino at the pool bar. HOLA!!!!

Paradisus Cancun: Beautiful Paradise

It was a perfect choice to stay in Paradisus Cancun. We got an excellent service, all the staff members were kind and helpful. The environment was clean and the food at all restaurants was amazing. We had a wonderful time at the beach and would definitely recommend this place.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Best all-inclusive resort

I almost never leave reviews but I cannot say enough about secrets Playa Mujeres Cancun. The resort exceeded all our expectations. The staff were friendly and attentive. The pool was large, clean, perfect temperature with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. The beach was incredible, we really enjoyed the bar on the beach with the swings. The rooms were large and had a beautiful view of the pool, ocean and resort. And the food... oh the food was delicious, such a wide selection to satisfy any palet [... read more]te. I could write an entire review alone on Bordeaux (French cuisine), Portofino (Italian), and their market cafe. Secrets Playa Mujeres was excellent!!

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Secrets Playa Mujeres - Nice Resort with a few Issues

Nov 2018 This may be a bit long but is worth the read. Booked this resort for our wedding/honeymoon. This resort is about 40 minutes north of Cancun airport. The resort itself is isolated from the rest of Cancun which was perfect for us. The fact that it's adults only was also a bonus. We booked the Preferred Club Junior Suite - Oceanview. The resort itself is beautiful but was a bit overwhelming when you first arrive as it is very spread out. We were taken to the Preferred Club Lou [... read more]nge where we checked in and were treated to gourmet food and desserts and fabulous mojitos! We were in building three which has a view of the ocean and the pool. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, there was a jacuzzi tub on the outside balcony as well as a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom along with a rainfall shower. The mini bar and in room snacks were stocked daily! The staff were very pleasant no matter where you were on the resort. The food was amazing and there was a huge variety at the buffet...no complaints with the food at all. You had to line up outside the buffet restaurant to be seated for breakfast and lunch but the wait was usually quite short. There was no buffet available for dinner which was a problem for us as we were a group of 11 and as they do not allow reservations except for one restaurant on site, we had a terrible time finding a place for all of us to eat at once. If you plan on going to this resort with a group larger than four people, I would definitely not recommend it as dinner time was very frustrating trying to get us all accommodated! The Himatsu restaurant allows reservations but you must line up for this only on the day you want the reservation. I was in line at 3:30pm one day in anticipation of them starting to take reservations at 4:00pm so I could get a good reservation time. I was the fourth person in line and when it was my turn to make the reservation, I was told I could only book for 11 people at 9:30pm! To me that's just ridiculous! The Oceana restaurant was closed due to renovations which means the resort was one restaurant down and this should have been taken into consideration by the resort as well. We tried to have dinner at the Sunset Grill and got there at 7:30pm. We were told we couldn't be seated until 8:00pm. At five minutes to 8, I asked if we could be seated. We were taken to a table for 11 people and not two minutes after we sat down we were told that they had made a mistake and that they had a reservation for another group of 11 people which they thought was us, even though we were told that you couldn't make reservations for this restaurant. We were then asked to leave the restaurant which was very insulting. At that point, we asked where they could serve all of us. We were told we could go to the El Patio Mexican restaurant but we had eaten there the night before and didn't want the same menu. They seated us at El Patio and were able to give us the menu from the Oceana restaurant so that they could accommodate us. Octavio who is the manager of El Patio was very kind to us and we appreciate his service. That being said, Secrets needs to step up it's game when it comes to larger groups. I don't know how many weddings are done there every day but there was at least one wedding every day we were there and I'm sure that we are not the only group to have this issue. The restaurants should be more accommodating and allow the bigger groups to book reservations for the restaurants, especially when they know it is a wedding party bringing them business. Regardless, all of the food at the resort was exceptional and the wait staff at the buffet and all the restaurants offered tremendous service. Aside from the issues with the restaurants, I would definitely recommend this resort for weddings. Our wedding planner Ana was amazing from beginning to end. From the email conversations to arrange the wedding to the actual wedding day, she was polite, knowledgeable and very easy to work with! I truly appreciate all of her assistance! There were so many options to choose from and you could spend as much or as little as you wanted to make it the wedding of your dreams. The wedding was better than we had anticipated and we didn't have to break the bank to get what we wanted. We had the option of a beach wedding or the wedding gazebo overlooking the ocean. We chose the gazebo but we saw weddings done on the beach while we were there and both settings were amazing! The officiant was also amazing! She was thoughtful, pleasant and knew the ceremony inside and out. Her voice was soft spoken and very pleasing, almost maternal. I'm so glad that we had her as our officiant, she really made the ceremony special. From the music we chose, the sand ceremony, the champagne toast and the the beautiful set up of our terrace dinner overlooking the ocean, we were impressed by it all! My bouquet was even more beautiful than I had anticipated and the roses smelled beautiful!!! The florist did an amazing job with the rest of the flowers as well! Once again, the food was amazing and the service staff was top notch! Being part of the Preferred Club, we were able to use the palapas on the beach! They were very comfortable and kept you out of the direct sun. The staff were very good when they were there but there were times when you didn't see the drink waiters or the staff to set up the palapas for a long period of time. It was faster to go to the bar on the beach yourself to get your own drink. It happened to to very windy while we were there so a lot of seaweed had accumulated on the beach. They were definitely on top of it though with people and machines clearing the beach constantly. The water wasn't blue but it was very nice and you were able to swim in it everyday. One day there happened to be a red flag on one end of the beach due to sting rays but you were still able to swim in the opposite end of the beach. The sand was really soft and white and nice as well. We went over to the Dreams sister resort just to check it out one day. It was nice but we found the grounds of Secrets to be nicer and you definitely noticed that it was much more child oriented. The entertainment at the resort was fantastic. Every night was a different show. We really enjoyed the circus night, rock show and Mexican night! They are not to be missed! The grounds were very well kept and they were constantly cleaning around the resort. It was fun to see so many iguanas around the grounds and they really didn't seem to be too afraid of the people as long as you left them alone. You should be aware that this resort offers time shares. They ask you to participate in a presentation but they really don't pressure you. If you say no, they leave you alone. All in all, the resort was great, the people were great, the beach was great, the food was great and the weather was great! Our only real complaint was not being able to be accommodated properly for group dinners at the resort. We are definitely sold on the Secrets brand and would visit another resort but not with a large group! If you are a couple or a group of four than this resort is perfect!

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: hugh resort with lots to do

The resort was absolutely beautiful. Our room was very spacious, had a comfy bed and the room service was great. We didn't book any tours as we were only there for 5 days but we kept ourselves busy with pool activities ,biking etc. We made reservations at several different restaurants. The food was great but the service was very poor at the steakhouse. Our reservation was for 5 pm but our entrees did not arrive until 7 pm. It was our last evening and it left little time to do anything else. That [... read more]'s my only complaint.

The Pyramid Cancun: Top notch resort

We stayed at the pyramid oasis and other than a slow check in, we had a wonderful week. The staff are amazing and always willing to help. Customer service was great when we discovered we had no remote control for the TV. We loved the VIP treatment that the black bands gave us. One of the nicest beaches we’ve been to, unfortunately, it was windy the week we were there and although we enjoyed the beach, we only spent a little time in the water as the waves were quite high. The pool was s [... read more]pectacular and very clean. Lots of seating available by the pool at all times. The evening shows and entertainment was spectacular; we actually saw red circus twice in the week we were there. The gym could use some updated equipment as everything is quite old and rusty and not very clean which is in contrast to the rest of the resort. The buffet for the VIP black band was great for breakfast with many choices, however, we found that dinner was often lukewarm to cold. There are so many restaurants at the resort to choose from that this was a minor inconvenience espeially sine there was another buffet at the other end of the resort as well as specialty restaurants. All in all, we had a fantastic week and are planning on going back next year.

Oh Cancun On The Beach: Oasis resort

The grounds were clean and kept in good place. Yoga and zumba were great. Food was good. The room was good. The customer service and reception were not good. Reception was extremely slow. Customer service wasnt good at the bars and servers because I dont think they believe people tip so they dont really care. Also, I dont think mexicans like english speaking people due to current political issues with America so probably poor service due to that even though we are canadian.
