The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Azul Fives, Mexico
Our resort was amazing. The pools, beach, food was fantastic. It was a bit rocky at the beach but still loved the water. It was warm. Everyone was friendly. The workers were so helpful, kind, happy. There was a pool right at our patio door. We loved it thought the floor just outside our doors was very slippery when it got wet. Our granddaughters fell a few times. It was a bit dangerous. Our only complaint . We loved it tremendously and will go back for sure.
Grand Oasis Riviera: Amazing view
The view was amazing/ breath taking. Small quiet resort ! Not for young people wanting to party! Make sure you stay at the grand oasis. Met a couple who were way at the back of the resort and not everything was included in their package!!
The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Wonderful staff, incredible food, fantastic resort
We stayed over March break for a friend's wedding. Had read alot of good reviews online beforehand and was happy to find that even the best reviews didn't do the resort justice. The most outstanding aspect of the resort has to be the staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a high quality stay. Make sure you practice your "hola" because you will be greeted pleasantly every time you pass a staff member. Make sure to bring your appetite to make the most out of the incredible restaurants. The Thai, [... read more]
Barcelo Maya Palace: Big beautiful resort
3rd visit to this resort and would go back again. Been to others in the Mayan, this is our favourity. Food was really good. Lots of variety and presentation was really impressive. Rooms were clean and spacious. Landscaping and connecting pathways between resorts were really handy on the rainy days. Beach was great, but windy when we were there . We were told this was unusual for the first week of March. Chairs are very hard on the beach and around the pool, but extra towel solves that issue.
Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Had a great time
Clean. Friendly. Awesome staff including our maid who was teaching us Spanish. Beach Club was great. The little town was too cute. Some great restaraunts. Wanda'so, terriakies, tonitas one and two. Very nice place as a whole.
Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: All around perfect
Staff is affable and efficient; grounds are spotless and interesting; food goes from very good to Michelin tops: restaurants are varied and fulfilling; the entertainment is excellent - especially the shows in the Teatro. The balcony of my room looked across the pools, the beach and to the surf crashing. At night we sat and enjoyed the fairyland of reflective lights and fireplaces before hitting a most comfortable bed.
Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Felt like royalty!
From the moment we walked through the front doors, we were treated like a King and Queen. We were absolutely in awe of how beautiful and clean the resort was. The restaurants were amazing and the food 5 star!!! The staff works tirelessly to keep this resort in tip top shape and also to ensure that your needs are always met. We were blown away at how friendly and hard working they were. They are the biggest reason why we will be back!
Selection Riviera Cancun: Amazing stay at Azul
Amazing resort, especially if you have kids/babies. All the essentials were there (bottle sterilizer, warmer, monitor, bath tub and crib!). Great play room, kids play pool etc. Food was great - only complaint is that there wasn't enough guacamole available. If you asked for items though the servers were quick to have it made - they were very accomodating for customized requests in all of the restaurant. The resort was only a 20 min bus ride which again was a bonus if you havw small children. Had [... read more]
Riu Playacar: Awesome resort!!
This was our 4th time to this resort. The newly renovated resort is very modern, with nice bright colors. The resort is small, making everything very handy. not too far to get to any location. The food is great with a lot of variety, the service is excellent. All the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Looking forward to going again next year.
Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Very good resort
Resort much better 4 yrs ago when many managers were around to speak to the guests. Some issues with front desk and day of departure. Stood around for 25 min waiting for bus, yet bus driver was there and had not called out any of our names (3 families). Pick up time at 7am and coffee machine was broken. We asked for coffee from the restaurant and you would have thought we were asking for a gourmet breakfast. Than answer was no. We thought the drive from the airport was direct it was not and we h [... read more]
Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: All in all good experience
It was a beautiful resort, the staff was very kind and the food was amazing. Everything was very clean and lots of fun activities for kids and adults. The A/C in the room wasn't the greatest but worked slightly.
Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: A great place to go
The rooms were clean, service was excellent, and the buildings and facilities were well maintained. The food was good t the buffet. The a la cart restaurants were very good. The beach was great aside from some rocky areas in the water which you just need to avoid. The pools were excellent, and the swim up bar was nice.
Dreams Huatulco: Food quality very poor
The resort was very clean and service was excellent. Food selection and quality, especially in the evening was very poor. There was suppose to be five alacarte restaurants however only two or three were open each evening. Three out of our party of four experienced food poisoning. The evening buffet was the worst and at times we were unable to make a sandwich due to the limited food items available.
Platinum Yucatan Princess: Great time!
Great resort rooms are nice. We could have had a pool room if we upgrade on line for $100 each for the week. We decided to try and upgrade when we arrived but it was around 100 per day. I would recommend upgrading on line if you are going to do it. Food and service was excellent. My favorite night was the Japanese a la carte food was great and the chef was awesome. The beach was not as good as I had hoped. We had to walk a long way to find a place on the beach where we could swim. Use the pool i [... read more]
Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Wonderful week!
We are fresh from a trip to the Maya Beach Resort and we have nothing but good things to say! The complex itself is huge with many activities to do throughout the day and night. The access to the different hotels was great--we were never bored of the people or surroundings! The buildings and grounds were clean and well maintained--very modern! The food is excellent with lots of choice at the buffets. The staff were mostly all very friendly and accommodating. I suppose the only negative thing we [... read more]
The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Perfection!! Seven days in paradise
This resort is small enough to walk around, but large enough to have lots of variety. The food was very good and the beverages plentiful. The staff are outstanding, the grounds are beautiful, pools are well looked after,
Las Brisas Huatulco: Very Relaxing
Very clean and in a beautiful location. The staff worked their tails off and were very friendly; from check-in to room service to bartenders. Sketchy if any wifi with food that is quite good but not great. Drinks galore with typical poor tasting wine. The beaches were lovely and snorkelling right off the beach. We sailed and kayaked and enjoyed the place fully. It is very hilly but there are carts to transport you all over. Not much English spoken but that was good as this isn't a super tourist [... read more]
Secrets Huatulco: Great time at Secrets
Most of the other reviews are spot on, great resort, very clean, good food, up early for a chair in the shade (although just ask for one by the pool that have extras), great people. It is also a nice area of Mexico, very clean and never felt u comfortable exploring the towns.
Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Now Sapphire- True Gem
All top notch. Except exorbitant prices at Pevonia Spa. Great location just far enough away from the touristy Cancun buzz. Staff and energy is perfect for all ages. Beach is fine for sports and very long walks! Enjoyed yoga, kids enjoyed the bike ride, water volleyball, archery and we all enjoyed water aerobics and salsa lessons. Food is excellent. Architecture is a true gem. Oh yeah 24hr. Room service is nice for early morning departures. All inclusive including 24hr. Coffee & sweet shop! Try t [... read more]
Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Great Get Away
We've stayed at this hotel many times over more than fifteen years and have never been disappointed. We enjoy it for what it is. The staff at Los Cocos are all very friendly, welcoming, and super helpful. Everyone from the managers, to the front desk staff, the restaurant and even the pool and cleaning staff have always tried to do their very best to make our stay enjoyable. Also the fact that everyone tries really hard to speak to you in English making it so much easier to communicate. Special [... read more]
