Sunscape Puerto Plata: great value convienient location

beach is great rooms were good value we stayed in building 12 close to the beach and pool ,alacartes were good if not the buffet always had something good on the menue all the staff were allways there to help out and very freindly would definetly return to this property.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: nice resort

very clean grounds and the area, pools are nice too,very good food. Rooms could use a little updates.Night entertainment very nice , but not too much to do for the kids.Service was ok , but the guy who suppost to help us out treat us very cold and even not very nice sometimes.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: It's Grand at Iberostar Grand Bavaro

This was our third time at the Grand, at it was every bit as good as the first and second time. The rooms are all facing the water, so it's hard to get a bad room. However, some are better than others in terms of views of the ocean. The food is first class and the staff are amazing. The overall atmosphere is very conducive to total relaxation. The only real problem with the resort is that 7 days goes by much faster than any other resort I have ever been to. But, I will be back.

Excellence Punta Cana: Great Resort!!

We recently stayed at the Excellence in Punta Cana and had an amazing trip! The grounds are beautiful rooms are clean and spacious, the beach is stunning, and the staff were "EXCELLENTE"! When we first arrived the room we were given was not up to par, it was at the back and had this damp mildew smell. But after a quick talk to the manager we were given a beautiful swim up suite. Wyndham Alltra Samana: Great resort!

I was there in February with my daughter and a few friends and had a great time. Our room was spacious and very clean. The food was amazing at all the restaurants- buffet included but the beach restaurant was my favourite!! Beach was small but very clean with lots of beach chairs. The main pool is where the action is but there are smaller pools if you like it a bit quieter. This resort is one of the smaller resorts I have been to but it was nice for a change. Overall a geat resort!

Occidental Caribe: Amazing Resort

Everything was great. Check-in was amazing. I've been to a lot of resort and normally you are in line for quite a while to get your room key. This resort, we had our keys and room within minutes. Room was great, food was amazing, service (waiters, bartenders, maids) all very polite and friendly. No complaints at all. As a matter of fact we are talking about going back in two years with the whole family. Grounds were nice, clean. Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Average Resort!

The rooms were large enough, fairly clean. Beach was ok, have to get out early if you want a spot. Only one pool and hard to find seats. The restaurants and food was ok. My husband and I got a sick with flu bug.

TRS Turquesa: All inclusive vacation at it's best

We honestly had the best all inclusive vacation. We connected with the staff with such friendliness that they will dance with utmost enthusiasm on seen us. We stayed at the premium suits which entitled us to excellent food included lobster. The grounds are expansive with well manicured lawns. It's like a beautiful city.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing resort, staff and beach!

Only negative was the timeshare sales team. Otherwise, the resort (Esmeralda) was beautiful and the closest unit to the beach. The staff was very friendly and food was great. I would definitely return to this resort again!

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Amazing vacation!

I am beyond thrilled we chose caribe club princess for our graduation trip! It was a perfect vacation. Great hotel, beautiful beach, awesome entertainment and service from all staff! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun vacation where you can celebrate and party, but also relax and enjoy! Very friendly for all ages

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort

The grounds were amazing, suggest upgrading to the adults only as it is close to the beach and not crowded at all. There are a lot of different themes of food to choose from and very good. Found that there was a large language barrier. Most employees did not understand English very well. It was very rare that you would get what you ordered for a meal even if it was right off of the menu. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing value

Great entertainment (Joselito) and bar staff (Kennedy & Tony)! Beach is good, rooms are ok but a little dated, food is pretty good and nightly entertainment. There is a dance bar next door if you're looking for somewhere close. Look forward to visiting again! Excellent value!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Definitely a 4.5 Star

Excellent facilities.service & ambiance.....I suffer from mobility issues & our little corner of the resort had everything I could want.....Pool, Restaurant, Pool Bar & a lovely room.....es Excelente !!!

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: fantastic resort to visit.

from the moment till the end the facilities were excellent. Staff were warm and friendly and very accommodating and attentive to our needs. Food was amazing and great a la carte restaurants. The facilities were very clean. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and a great terrace overlooking the beach. I must admit that the place was not over crowed and not at all noisy. Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Beautiful Resort......but staff were unfriendly

We stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort in March. Beautiful resort with amazing beach, resort was very clean and food was ok. Unfortunately the staff were extremely unfriendly and not welcoming at all. This was our first time going to the Dominican and will not be returing as we herad many comments of the staff being rude and unhelpful. Having been to Mexico, St.Lucia and Jamacia, and not having any problems with staff - all were very out going and wanted to make our stay wonderful. We had  [... read more]to wait for 10-15 mins to get drinks unless you flashed cash then the staff would come right away and serve you. We paid for an all inclusive trip, if the staff goes above and beyond then by all means they will get tipped but walking up to the bar and ordering a beer does not mean that they deserve a tip. Tips are based on service and the service at this resort was very disappointing. We will not be going back to this resort nor would i recommend it to anyone.

Travel 3 times a year. Wasn't sure at first because size of the resort. Transportation is avery five minutes not more. Grounds fantastic with alought of vegetation. Wide beach and you can walk has fare has you can. Great variety and good restaurant. You can have your in house bottle of wine on table and even select the kind of glass you want.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Great Resort

We stayed in a modern Junior Suite with a spectacular sea view and private beach.Our room had a king size bed that was very comfortable and a spacious shower, lots of hot water and always clean. The gardens are very tropical.It is kept very clean with Peacoks and ducks to roam freely.Lots of palm trees on the beach to provide shade if needed. Food at the A La Cartes restaurants was very good.The buffets food was good but good use more of a selection and a better layout for the food stations. The [... read more] staff was always friendly and hepful.They have a good activity team, nightly shows at the theatre and also in the evening live bands play in the lobby.Massages and shopping are available. We had a great stay and plan to return to this resort again.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Fabulous resort

This is our second time at this resort in Puerto Plata! The food was wonderful - lots of selection. Pool and grounds were very well maintained. The staff was extraordinary (trust me - I'm a tough critic). Upgraded our room to ocean view - well worth it. The only complaint we had was with the air conditioning in our room. Although the staff was attentive to the problem, it would appear that the air conditioning in general in the resort should be serviced or changed. 

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: big resort, lots of fun

Great experience at Memories Splash. Booked standard room it was OK, had to switch rooms and buildings the second night due to no water. We didnt mind. It was closer to water park, and on ground level, right beside a main pool. The room was an upgrade as well. Rooms cleaned daily, grounds kept nice. A couple stores for gifts etc right on site, reasonable prices ( you don't need to go outside the resort) Restaurants are excellent, all the food is great and a wide variety available at the buffet.  [... read more]We've been to 2 other resorts and the food doesn't come close to Memories! We are beach people so didn't spend much time at Memories pools. Since the Royalton is the beach property, we would spend a lot of time there. It is a 5 star resort in our mind. Memories is a 4 star.The beach is amazing, that's why we go to PC.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: The resort property is huge - multiple hotels

The hotel was quite beautiful, well kept and clean. The grounds were imaculate. The service was fantastic and very personal. Really enjoyed all the restaurants. The resort was much larger than I like however, the international travelers it attracted were very interesting. Funny how you can communicate with someone when you don't speak each other's language.
