Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Fabulous experience

Just returned from a fabulous week spent at the Riu Palace Isla Mujeres in Cancun...it was a trip that we will never forget, the hotel was fabulous, ultra modern, so clean... The staff work tirelessly keeping it spotless, hotel amenities all wonderful, food was spectacular, staff friendly, a very relaxing wonderful resort for young and old....highly recommend this resort, beaches were fabulous and the bar service at the pools and beach were wonderful

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Amazing resort

Grounds are beautifully manicured , food was amazing , beach kept very clean , entertainment crew are amazing especially peanut, buttercup and black thunder, the only negative for me was the a la carts were too small ( very limited space) in each one

Riu Caribe Cancun: beautiful resort

we had a great time at the Riu couldn't ask for anything better the rooms were very spacious and the whole resort was spotless the food was outstanding and the beach was beautiful the only disappointment was the balcony we had an oceanview room and the balconies are very small triangular shaped, but the outstanding view made up for it would I come back to this resort? any time

Riu Playacar: Will return in a heartbeat

The layout of this resort was superb. From the front lobby to the rooms, pools and ocean you are looking at a 2 minute walk. Everything is close. The food was amazing, so much variety and absolutely delicious. Our room was spacious and very clean and the maid cleaned it everyday so well. The weather was fantastic, the pools were clean and they take care of the seaweed issue so you can swim in the beautiful water. You can walk the streets and because it is a gated community it is very safe. The decor and cleanliness was top notch.

Riu Guanacaste: Outstanding resort

I have nothing bad to write about this resort. It was perfect. Check in was extremely fast and pleasant. Our room was just as requested with added bonus of partial ocean view. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Fridge was well stocked. The food was wonderful and there is something for everyone’s taste. The staff were very good and always happy to help. They work extremely hard. There were always plenty of loungers on the beach. A few vendors who were not really a bother. We took several ex [... read more]cursions and booked them all with the Sunwing rep. The Sunwing reps were excellent and we found the trips very reasonable. All in all it was a perfect vacation

Riu Republica: Great Resort and lot of fun things to attend within resort itself

Great Resort, rooms are clean and tidy, Lot of activities and shows to attend in the evening after dinner, service is great, very clean and healthy place to eat and drink. Beach party and white party was our fav. Free transportation to visit flea markets

Riu Republica: Amazing Service

Beautiful grounds. Pools were awesome and so many choices. Water slides were fun. Service was the best than anywhere I’ve visited. The resort is modern and clean. The staff really stood out the most. Awesome people.

Riu Playa Blanca: RIU PLAYA BLANCA

We had a nice stay at this hotel. The hotel is clean and the amenities are beautiful. There is lots of food to choose from and a great salad bar. They could use less oil in their cooking to give guests healthier choices. The hotel is very nice although it could use some upgrading. The rooms are a bit musty as is the smell in the drawers. They could add some shelving in the closet to give guests an alternative to the drawers. The entertainment could use some more variety and be more professi [... read more]onal. They relied too much on guest contests rather than polished shows. They could also put more variety in on a two week rotation for guests who are staying that long or longer. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others. The Panama sunshine is amazing and there are many sights to see.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Very nice hotel!!!

Hotel was very nice n food is AMAZING!!! Service is good! Rooms r nice n clean!!! Location is very good as its beside Atlantis and shares a beach with Atlantis and is only 12min walk to Atlantis and Marine Village.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Riu Palace in Costa Mujeres

Beautiful, very clean resort. Staff very friendly and always helpful. Comfy bed and nice rooms/balcony. Clean shady beach. Always can find a shaded area around the pool if you want to stay out of the sun. Food was fantastic. We were abit far from the city so you can’t leave the resort unless you go on excursions or take the bus(which is free) My only complaint was that our balcony faced the other hotel and we could hear the machines that provided power for the a/c. We asked for a room change t [... read more]he next day and they allowed us choices of rooms that faced the courtyard which were surprisingly quiet. We were even able to sleep with the balcony doors open. We were very pleased with our 7 day stay at Riu Place.

Riu Republica: Amazing again!!!

This was our 2nd time at the Rui Republica in Punta Cana. We went last year as well and it didn't dissappoint. We had an amazing time. The food, service, pools and entertainment were all top notch. We were even happy to see that they entertainment was complelty different than last year. We would highly recomend this resort to anyone that is looking to experience the best of Punta Cana.

Riu Guanacaste: Fantastic vacation

Thìs was our first time to the Riu Guanacaste. Right from the time we arrived until the time we left we were treated very well. All the staff is friendly, very helpful and always with a smile when they great you. The resort is beautiful and clean. The grounds are kept in pristine condition. The main buffet is fantastic. You could not ask for anything more. The restaurants were Amazing. The entertainment was satisfactory. The whole experience was terrific. Pools are great and the entire poo [... read more]l area is clean all day long. The only thing I was not thrilled about us the lack of washrooms by the pools. I would definitely go back to this resort.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Wonderful vacation!!!

We had a 2-week stay at the Riu Palace Tropical Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to this gorgeous resort. The beach is absolutely beautiful. The staff were very accommodating - they went above and beyond to meet all our needs. They were very friendly, professional and a joy to be around. Doctor "C" made our trip so enjoyable. The new management is a real asset- they are extremely interested in what the tourists want and need to make their vacation pleasurable. [... read more] The added musicians/artists in the main dining area is incredible. Nice to see them have the opportunity to entertain the tourists. Can't wait to return next year. Give them an excellent review for sure.

Riu Palace Antillas: Fantastic

Riu Palace Antillas Junior superior suite ( villa) location was perfect. I would always want to be on the 3rd top floor to take advantage of the amazing ocean view. The suites were dated but nice. We changed rooms once because the hot tub jets were not working and the shower stall drain was plugged. There were also 4 light bulbs that were burnt out that needed replacing. Once we change rooms the shower stall drain was still plugged in that room. We asked to have that fixed 3 times and they kept  [... read more]saying it would be taken care of but never was. So by the time I finished taking a shower I’d be standing in a good 4 to 5 inches of water. I heard they were going to do some renovating . I would love to go back to the same location after the renos. Grounds were beautiful The buffet was different every night with a great selection of foods. service was also great . Much better than the al la carte restaurants . All in all we had an excellent time and loved Aruba .

Riu Playa Blanca: Not a 5*

This hotel is not a 5* according to our standards. The hotel is 6 years old and needs some work. The bathrooms require vents as it holds humidity. Our room smelled from mold and very musty. The drawers were very smelly and clothes could not be put in. Sanitized room and tried to fix smell in drawers to no avail. But they did try to move us after 4 days but hat room was no better. The staff are not really engaging if you are not a party animal. The buffet was good with lots of choices. We walked  [... read more]out of Asian and Italian as it smelled fishy and also musty. The Steakhouse was great! Pools were good! Entertainment needs to be upgraded to different shows. We had a great time as we met wonderful people who we will be friends with.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Riu palace

Loved every minute of my airport to airport experience . This was a taste of heaven , best vacation spot of them all and I would definitely travel back to Jamaica . I have seen the world but if I had to describe Eden, this would be the picture painted by my words

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Quite pleased

We wanted a smaller but newer resort. The service was excellent. Sunset was the best in the world Tours were so cultural pleasing , and local food was a taste of heritage well served Only down fall to me personally was there is no local casino to spend the rest of my money

Riu Palace Baja California: Impressive Resort

Excellent facilities and design with beautiful rooms, 5pools, 2 swim up pool bars and 3 others, 4 A La Carte restaurants plus outstanding Buffet restaurant. Food overall is excellent. Unfortunately, I had $400 cash stolen from my room by housekeeping staff and even though the security investigation pointed clearly to 1 housekeeper, the hotel management did nothing to recover the money or compensate me for the loss. Excellent free shuttle service to and from the airport.

Riu Ocho Rios: Great Time

Enjoyed our vacation to Riu Ocho Rios. We did not enjoy check-in as there was a full bus load arriving all at the same time. We were all tired after our travels and this portion of the vacation could have been organized in a better way. Many people were not offered assistance to their rooms and found this very confusing. We enjoyed the beach and great snorkeling. The food was great and did not bother with the specialty restaurants as lining up early for meals did not appeal to us and the bu [... read more]ffet was good but nothing extraordinary. They had lots of selection and one night we even had lobster tails, plenty of other seafood offered. The sportsbar made excellent fresh ground coffee and we had them add rum cream, but their snack food was really terrible. The hotdogs rolled in a warmer all day and the nachos were non-existant. They definately need to put some effort into the 24 hour snacks. Staff in dining area made our dining enjoyable. The orientation wasn't helpful as it seemed to be promoting excursions rather than giving info about the resort. We would have appreciated more info regarding what was happening at the resort at various times and where everything was located. The staff did their best to make announcements from the pool area and beach. We had a very nice clean room and the grounds were beautiful. Our room keys stopped working a day early as did other friends rooms, and had to be reset at the reception area. The staff were very attentive and helpful, polite and friendly. This resort seemed great for all ages. There was quite a bit of walking if you are going to beach and back to your room or to meals. There is a very nice kids play area. One more note, there are no local vendors on the beach or resort to bother anyone. Overall, a very nice place to vacation.

Riu Palace Macao: Loved it!

I’d read a few mixed reviews on this resort... glad I didn’t listen! Loved my room, it was an upgraded junior suite with a jacuzzi tub, it was comfortable and clean and cool! The food at the buffet was good, plentiful, and a lot of variety. I went to one a la carte restaurant, and found the buffet to be just as good , if not better. The staff were plentiful and pleasant. No complaints there! The beach was beautiful with plenty of chairs, even if you showed up late. The pools were clean and t [... read more]here were always chairs available there as well, you might have to look a little harder for them. There were a few vendors who patrolled the beach, but did not bother you if you showed no interest. I would recommend this resort in a heartbeat! I found the clientele averaged about 50-55 years old. I wouldn’t hesitate in returning.
